I was contacted in February to do an upgrade to the system and pay $250 i said i was not paying that, they finally agreed to keep my contract at the same price 129.for 2 years and I would pay the uprgrade, now 2 months later they have raised my bill up to 182 and I call and they say my contract is up. I argued and they say no one can help we no one is above me to help you. Your contract expired and I continue to tell him no I was just told I was good for 2 years after they got all my upgrade money, wont let me talk to anyone else then he comes back says there all busy cant help me. He could take channels away and get it lower NO
so then he comes back says he will transfer me and now then I get a no response he comes back and says no one is here yet call back in an hour.
LIES is all I can say first they are too busy now no one is in.

Desired outcome: Get my plan to what I was promised for the next 2 years after scamming my $250 for the scam upgrade in february.
We were promised a $400 visa card with our first payment
We signed up for Dish Network in October of 2022. We were promised a Visa Gift Card worth $400 after we made our first payment. We never saw the card.
When Dish arrived at our South Dakota residence to install, I talked about the card and the person said when we install Dish TV in Texas we will get it. We are snowbirds. When Dish was installed in TX they said it will take 4 to 6 weeks. I called Dish Customer Service today and they said I need a code to get the Visa Card. No one ever said anything about a code. I asked if they could give me the code and they said "no". Somehow Dish knows how to bill us, somehow dish knows we have a 2 yr contract but they don't know the code. I am contacting the better business bureau and putting an alert on Facebook. This was clearly a scam from the beginning with Dish.

Pay off old cable company for early cancellation
In early March, 2023, a gentleman knocked on my door Josh Houk [protected]). and sold me a contract for The Dish. He told me that The Dish would pay off my contract with DirecTV for early cancellation and they would pay up to $250. On his paperwork, there was also the name of Mark [protected] ext. 01). I called The Dish to discuss this with them and was told that they did not do this. They sent me my first bill for $90+ and when I asked them to look up my account, they could not find an account for me. I read the account number on my bill to them ([protected]), and they still said they could not find my account. The gentleman who sold me the contract had the Dish name on the Installation work order. It was installed on 3/22/23. I think I have been scammed by someone who represented your company and I either want my early cancellation fee paid to DirecTV ($225) or I want all of the equipment removed from of my house with no charges to me. That was a third party retailer with an offer of their own. You’ll have to take the up with the retailer, as that is not a service or offer Dish provides.
Quit billing their customers two months at a time.
We did not receive a bill amount to pay our dish network account last month from Kinetic by Windstream. I called DISH this morning 4.26.23 at 10:15 am and spoke with Richard ID#Y98 who told me our account balance was zero. After 1 hour and 10 minutes and being put on hold at least five to six times he said it was zero. I called dish network back 45 minute hold. I knew this was not right at 12:15 spoke with Frank ID #T4B who told me our bill was 305.25 this month. dish network did not bill their customers last month and sent out a double bill this month. Our statement said we owed 315.56 yet Frank said it was 305.25. We have been a customer for over 14 years. dish network takes away channels without notifying their customers. They also increase your bill without telling their customers. To file a complaint online with dish network states on their page "filing a complaint with the company can prove to be quite difficult!" It states you can file a complaint with company's support page but the problem is that the page is slow to load, and it can take a while to connect to the support agent. It goes on and on about filing a complaint but probably not hearing back from them? dish network shows over 1,200 complaints with only 23% solved. I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB.
Desired outcome: Quite increasing their rates without notice and inform their customer when they are going to take channels off the air ahead of time.
Dish lack of CBS for months with no end in sight and no cut in the price to their faithful customers
The CBS network has been out for your cutomers for a few months. I am sick of paying for a service we don’t receive . You offer all these promos for new customers but I have been a customer for decades and get nothing, not even the channels I have been paying. And this isn’t the first time. It is very frustrating. What are you planning to do for us.?..

Great News! You are not paying for that channel. If you review your bill, there will not be a charge for CBS on there.
That said, it’s important to remember that you do not subscribe to or pay for any specific channel, and you already agreed that any channel may be removed at anytime with no compensation. That’s because you don’t pay per channel.
Monthly TV service
We called dish on Feb 3rd, 2023 to cancel our service, representative informed us that we were paid through Feb. 24, so our service would end on that date. On March 3rd, Dish again charged us through our credit card, for services through March, $155.00 . We called again to stop service and Dish now had problems with their servers and systems and could not respond. After hours on the line in early March we were able to stop credit card transactions, but Dish continued to now send paper bills. We tried on numerous occasions to get through to Dish, but the wait times were in excess of 84 minutes. Finally on April 17th we were again able to talk to someone to cancel our service, but the representative said we could not call to discuss any charges for at least 7 days until the systems were completely up. Now Dish tells me they have so graciously waived the added charges in excess on $300.00 and I should be happy to pay the $50.00 + $28.00 for shipping their equipment back. I contend they can take that out of the $155.00 they charged me for service in March after I canceled the service. Basically Dish does not seem interested in fixing their mistakes. Their systems were down in late February, March and early April. Except billing systems.
Desired outcome: I have offered to give them the $155.00 they took from me on March 3rd billing and they send me the box to return the equipment at no charge. They refused.
Dish Network
Dish network is overcharging me after I am in a 2 year contract. After being on hold for over an hour to speak with customer service, I was told they are having system issues and cannot fix my bill. Asked to speak with a Manager and was told she is the Manager and no one is above her. I told her everyone has a boss. She absolutely refused to get me a Manager and said she could not fix me being over charged. Companies cannot over charge their customers and say there is nothing they can do.
Desired outcome: I want the service removed immediately and with NO charges or PENALTIES. I am not at fault for breaching this contract. Dish Network has not provided me with their promise and refusal to correct my bill.

Dish internet
I can't add giga bytes to my internet! This is an ongoing problem and has been going on for a week now. The got infected by ransom ware from Amazon! The only way to remove ransom ware is to use pre saved files and os , then you have to wipe the hard drive then reload everything! Dish will not do this and because they want to do it another way they will never get back up and running!

Lost NBC channel
Here in my area we have lost the local NBC Channel for over 6 weeks and there seems to be no resolvement in sight. I have been paying for this local channel and am still being charged for it even though it's not there. I would like compensation for this since it is a paid service. Can you explain why we have lost the channel and if it will ever come back?

This all started last month. We spend 6 months in Arizona and 6 months is Indiana. We are leaveing on the 15th of April for Indiana. Last month (March) I called to have our service on hold for the 6 months while we are in IN . Well they shut down the service on March 31. I call and told them they was supposed. Well it work till April 11 it was off again. I called again and told them 15. well guess what it off again its the 10th. Don't they know their number. Please give them a calendar please! Canceled service on 3/27/23 after being on hold 2 1/2 hrs and then payed bill online 3/30/23 as instructed by agent. I called on 4/8/23 to find out why I have not received the boxes to return equipment and apparently they reactivated the account when I paid and just credited all the extra fees to future bills. I canceled again on 4/8/23 and tried to speak to a supervisor, but was told to call back in 7 days. I am sure they will be charging me more fees even though I asked the agent set the cancellation back to the first time I canceled on 3/27/23, but she said she couldn’t. The website paying feature is questionable because the only option I could find was to restore service even though I payed all the extra fees and the 20 dollars for the return boxes.
Desired outcome: Cancel service back to the original date I canceled 3/ 27/23 and take the amount I paid 659.57 as final payment. Send boxes as was promised for the 20 dollars I was charged
Can not contact a person in the customer service department!!!
I had my service on vacation. After the hack situation it was turned back on WITHOUT my permission. Then it did not work correctly for 2 weeks. I tried to call customer service, but the hold times were over an hour. Who has time to sit on the phone that long? I have tried to contact Dish for over a month. I was not able to get in contact with anyone. I sent several emails but never got a response. The customer service is terrible. I know the Dish system was hacked, but that is no reason for such terrible service. I have used Dish for many many many years. This is the worst I have ever seen.

Billing Service and lack of customer service in resolving the issue
I am being billed for two services at my home. One for the previous service and one for the new service installed on 2/16/2023.
The previous service at this address was in the name of Meredith, but that person left 15 years ago.
On 1/13/2023 I was told I could have a new service in my name and that the old service charges would stop with new billing.
That has not happened.
I have no idea where the previous person is and I have no idea what pin was established for the previous account.
Both services are for this same address and both services are being billed to the same CU account.

Since 3/3/2023 I have spent over seven hours on hold for customer service to address my billing issue.
I have placed over 12 calls and been disconnected 4 times.
My shortest wait time was 1 hour and 16 minutes.
When I am able to have my call answered the person is unable to help me because I don't have a pin #, a pet name, or a security # - - all of which the previous person set up before she left.

MONTHS ago you had CBS, METV and others that you took off the guide. You said it shouldn't be very long until they are back. Then you took $10 off my monthly bill because of this, But you only did it for one month. You said you would do it until those channels came back. You lied! The very next month the bill went back to its original amount.
I tried calling then, but you had some sort of cyber security issue and I couldn't even contact you. I tried again today. The waiting time was 35 minutes. I decided to wait in the queue for a call back. Over three hours later - nothing! Plus I was not able to watch the NCAA championship games that were on CBS. Plus the Masters golf tournament is this week with no CBS channel in sight. Your customer service is horrendous and I want a call back today to straighten all of this out.

You already agreed you do not pay on a per channel basis and expect no compensation. Why are you now lying and changing your agreement?
I am being charged for starz/showtime and a movie package I did not request or sign up for, there is no one to speak with, except that machine. I would appreciate it if you would take starz/showtime and your movie package offffff. If I could afford this, I would have signed up for it in the beginning. My bill was $100.86, now it's almost $200.00.
Subscription cancellation
The absolute worse customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Having been trying to cancel my service for 3 months and after multiple times of being placed on hold for over 45 minutes each time no one has been able to assist with discontinuing service. DO NOT enter into a contract with these people you will never to be able to get out of it. Last call I got the run around and was told that my subscription was an RV account (which it is not) and was given another number to call.
Desired outcome: Been trying to cancel my service February 27, 2023. I would like to have my service cancelled and to be refunded the Feb, March and soon to be April. charges to my account.
Why would they refund February when the attack took place on the last days of Feb? That doesn’t make sense. Their systems were down less than one month, so 3 months does not make sense either. This seems very sensationalized.
TV satellite service
I'm very tired of trying to contact Dish. I was told because of all the problems that our bill would be lowered. It wasn't. All I want to do is cancel my service. Got transferred from one dept to another. On hold again for over 45 minutes. This is unacceptable. I was also told that they'll charge me $300 to cancel my service. It's not my fault that they got hacked and then didn't tell their customers. Now my info is out for whoever to see and use. They shouldn't be charging a fee at all. It should be an easy thing to go online and cancel our account but no, You have to call and maybe get a call back or just get hung up on.

In June 2022 I signed up for dish and recieved an approval code [protected]) for a $500 gift card. This code has been provided to Dish many times. This card was never delivered. After numerous phone calls an agent sent me a $100 gift card (#[protected]) to placate me. Dish will now not talk to me about the gift card since they say I have already received one. I have been on hold for hours trying to get this resolved. It has also been impossible to get in contact with Dish thru their customer service chat option.
No one there seems interested in getting this resolved and after 10 months, I have reached the end of my patience. Someone other than a phone operator needs to take a look at this. My account #[protected]

I've had the same problem with the DISH $400 promotion. I tried to give the "dedicated agent" my gift card #, and she said, "I don't need that." That was it, no other information was offered. I thought that meant I would receive the card. A month later, got an email with the subject "Your Gift Card Is On The Way." It never came. When I called to ask about it, I was told it's too late, I missed the date to receive the card. Nothing was offered to me.

I have been trying to cancel for over 5 hours now. With each time after a 45 minute wait for someone to say they have to transfer me. Then after that I am put on hold for so long that I put into another 45 minute wait. This has happened about 5 times now.. I am am trying to formally cancel my service with Dish as of Thursday March 30, 2023. I do not want to be billed for anything after this date.

Dish reps will not come on the line to help you do anything especially cancel your account! I have waited over and over 30 minutes on hold listening to their awful background music and some idiotic recording that keeps saying how they are too busy to help you. Your wait time is 36 minutes. Have they ever heard of a call back. Dish quit sending us our bill and then suspeneded our service when we were late paying. After paying their bill it then took days and another call to get them to restore our service. They really don't care about their customers at all and we are done with them.
