loud and out of control worker
Canon city Dollar tree has the rudest worker I have ever seen . On Wednesday April 18th around 5 pm I was in the check out line # 3 when an employee Helen came to work. The outrages fit she was throwing was embarrassing to her boss who tried to calm her down. Then she approached a co worker and started in with her. complaining that she was hired as cashier and nothing else. This behavior in front of customer was uncalled for. It made me feel very unconformable standing in line. I though about leaving my basket and not coming back.
store a complete disaster
04/20/18 South Lebanon OH Store # 5638
I wanted to go shop at this particular store because last year because it is a larger store than the one in Lebanon. I was hoping to find the products I wanted at this store. The store was a complete disaster! There were boxes everywhere. Every customer I saw were complaining about how bad of shape the store was in. I even spoke to one woman who came from mason because she said she remembers it being such a nice store. I was unable to get to the products on the shelf because boxes were blocking them. I means mass boxes down every isle. The employees were just stacking them and walking away. I eventually just started looking at the boxes to find the product I needed. I had to open a box to get the product I wanted out. I was also trying to get wrapping paper but was unable to access it. You could only have one person going down the isle at a time. It got to the point I decided to go shop elsewhere. I took pictures, I heard one employee remarking in the back of the store that a customer is taking a video and laughed. This is unacceptable behavior for the employees. If they need to stock the shelves them bring a few boxes out at a time. I believe the manager was in charge of this procedure because and employee asked this particular man for a break. I hope this will be addressed or the employees receive the proper training on stocking shelves.
store in disarray
Dollar Tree store #1376
4525 Lafayette Road
Indianapolis, IN 46254
This store is constantly in disarray with full boxes of products blocking the aisles while the shelves are empty. The floors are dirty with spilled sticky liquids causing even more problems with trying to shop. I recommend that a regional or district manager visit in order to observe the mismanagement of this DT site.
employees
I ask the manager at this store where some thing was and I know they have it just could not Remeber what aile.well in stead asking my i help or being nice she starts walking fast and i say excuse me she goes what, I ask her where the candle wax was and she said they don't sell those well the other lady that works there said yes we do. Anyways the manager was so busy in personal call where she could not help. This is thrid time I have came in with that crew and they was rude.the black that works up front is rude as well. She don't say thank u or anything and throw money at you. I go in there every day cause it is close to my house. But I will not go back as long as they work there.
employee
At store# 3568 505 Piaget ave in Clifton NJ, i was shopping there with my 5 month old and 2 year old. When i got to the register there was one person paying for her purchase and i was next. Another customer prior must have left stuff on the belt and walked away. She was gone for a while, while we all waited in line, me and a few others behind me. The associate Alis didn't care that i was waiting, in line as we are suppose to with things in my hand and told the customer who left their things that she could skip the line and pay for her stuff. I was very upset and she just didn't care. When i got to her, and she was very rude. She didn't give me my change in my hand. So i left my change. Another associate named John who looked like the manager saw i left my change and when i explained to him about Alis, he also didn't care and looked at me like i had 4 heads. She was too lazy to put those items the women left to the side so everyone who was actually waiting could complete their purchase. I didn't know you were allowed to put your items on the belt and still continue to shop down the isles at the same time and get to skip the whole line of people who were waiting...
inappropriate behavior/ treatment to employee.
My wife and I were shopping today (4/18/18) when we overheard something that has us seriously reconsidering giving our business, and spreading good word of mouth for the Dollar Tree Corporation, if this is how business is run. We witnessed a Manager at the Washington Missouri location, with the name tag of Diana, angrily spat to the fellow employee working, with the name tag of Courtney, that because she gave her two weeks notice, she was not permitted to any breaks for the remainder of her time with Dollar Tree, but is to work. This illegal abuse of power was both shocking and sickening. Being business owners ourselves, and very involved in our church, and community we felt this employee deserved to be advocated for. Abuse of this kind is inappropriate and uncalled for. I do hope this is not Dollar Tree's standards. And, I hope to never witness this woman being verbally abusive again. I don't know how an employee giving notice of quitting, would entitle this Diana to feel the need to be rude, and inappropriately behaved, and to feel entitled to illegal use of power, but again, I hope this is NOT Dollar Tree's standards. Thank you, for your time.

customers
I'm a Dollar Tree customer for a long time. My honest opinion is: District Manager and highest positions need to care about the employees. Good people working there. I'm hearing all the time: "Employees are so rude", but the reality, customers are really really bad attitude, liars, problematic and worst.
Management, if you really care the customer service, start to treat your employees in a good way. I'm a customer, but I hate when some customers are damaging, complaining and stealing merchandise and the company give them the reason.
an associate
There was an associate at this dollar tree that was very rude and loudly arguing at another associate while I was in line to pay for my stuff. She was a short red headed lady. She was loudly complaining at this other lady and there were a lot of us customers around and I do not think that her actions were very professional and did not appreciate hearing it.
food
Went to Dollar tree yesterday and for some reason I didn't look at the expiration date on the yogurt. It expired in December. I have called that store for 2 days about 20 times. Called the customer service line stayed on the phone 46 mins left a message noone called back. Then called again over am hour wait still nothing. Its almoat May take that expired food off the shelf.
dirty disgusting store
This is the second time I have complained about this store. The store # is 6066, 4250 Fulton Rd. Cleveland, OH 44144.
That store is disgusting and dirty. Toys laying in the aisles, bins overflowing with the wrong item in them, and just plain disgusting! No one cleans this store or tries to put things in the correct place.
It is walking distance for me, so I go there, thinking maybe they have cleaned it up. Just went on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Same thing! Someone needs to go and look at that store. If I was a secret shopper, that store would get a -F!
No store should look that messy and dirty! There is a couple of Dollar Trees close by and they are both very nice and clean. Going to stop shopping on the one at Fulton Rd. You need a new manager! Someone who takes pride in being a manager at his/her store. Disgusting!
freight manager ron
Ron at store 1354 in Louisville ky he is always yelling at customers hassling women calling other associates fat and just being rude to customers and workers and makes me not want to shop there and let other friends and family not to shop there something needs to be done about him he even went as far as yelling at my 4 year old kid for playing with the toys
rude employee
I visited the dollar tree in Winter Garden this morning and the Cashier on register one was so rude. She over charged me for an item and got an attitude when I bought it to her attention. I can't understand how she could even acquire a Customer Service position. She needs to work in the back, seriously!I don't like that store, the lines are Always way Too long and the Manger is always outside smoking when the need Back up! It didnt always use to be this way.
She overcharged you? The prices are preset. Everything is a dollar, plus tax, in some cases. It gets scanned, price pops up. Kinda hard to overcharge.
dishonest store manager
The Booneville, AR store manager came in after another manager was fired. She apparently told him stories of what her employees were doing wrong. Nate called them in one by one and told them that honesty went a long way with him and to tell him what has been going on.
My granddaughter, Haley Crenshaw, told him everything she knew of. The next day he called her in and fired her. So he set her up for being honest.
This is not the way she was raised. So do you reward your managers for encouraging their young employees to lie? This is the message she got.
I am very upset. My granddaughter has worked at the Booneville Dollar Tree for almost a year. She has come to work every time they have been shorthanded and needed her.
She loved her job and this has devastated her.
Can his actions be reviewed? Something is not right.
rude manager trash problem
I went to the Dollar Tree located 631 S. reed in Kokomo, Indiana 2 times last week. My first visit as I approached the entry I notice the trash can 5 feet from the door was over flowing with trash so when I was checking out there were 3 young ladies working on the eye glass display and I over heard one saying she needed the hours and the money she wanted to stay on the clock I then was checking out so I politely spoke to the cashier about the trash. Her reply was they have nothing to do with the trash being removed that the strip center was supposed to deal with it. I asked her to tell her manager of my concern because I feel it reflects on Your Business and the neighborhood. She just rolled her eyes at me and as I was leaving I saw another lady That looked like maybe a manager but she said she wasn't but politely asked how she could help. I told her the same about the trash and she too said they dont do the trash. I again politely told her I thinks its bad for business to allow the trah to over flow it relects on the business. She agreed with me and I jokingly said its not that big of trash can and you guys sell trash bags why not just do it and left. 3days later I return and still the trash is over flowing. So I entered and asked for the Manager. I was pointed to a young lady named Amber she said she was one of the managers or assistant not really sure but I asked for her Corp. Email so I could pass my complaint to a supervisor. She saud she did not know the email address. She asked how she could help and when I tried to explain the trash complaint she gave a dirty look and told me to have a good day and would not let me explain. I told her I would take a pic and her name and send in a complaint. I went outdide and call the other Dollar Tree store in Kokomo and spoke to a progessional sounding lady named Pat and we discussed all the above interaction. In that conversation we both agreed the other store manager opens the store every morning at the front door by tbe trash can and we both agreed if Amber had any Pride in her Job/ Store she should have instructed one of her emoloyees to handle this issue or call the strip center manager and take action.
Amber does not care about your company or customer complaints.
She was rude and unprofessional. On the other hand Pat at tbe other store invited me to do business with her store and thst if I did I would leave satisfied that her and her staff care. So I will Not shop at Ambers location again. I have a pic from the 2nd visit I will send if requested. I managed a store for 18 years and the trash and attitude would have been dealt with immediately most likely Amber would be looking for a job at Taco Bell the next day if I were her boss.
Take Pride in the Job make the Community not cringe upon the entry of the store. Keep tbe customer coming back by not waiting on someone else to fix such a small issue. Hope to hear back but if not I know good business when I see it.
unsanitary food storage containers
The Pepsi refrigerator is filthy with mold and mildew. When I brought it to the attention of the Store Manager Shawn or Sean (I'm not sure of the spelling of his name. He said "I have called Pepsi to bring another one; but just after that, the stocker began to refill it with new product ad food not clean it. He said "I just work here". I feel that we should not have to purchase a product where we are exposed to mold and mildew. I feel that these refrigerators should be disinfected immediately and mot overlooked.
2 week notice
Manager Linda Dresser was having a relationship with an employee Anessia Powell starting back on February 4th, after her previous relationship with a fellow Dollar Tree manager and living arrangements failed. The Anessia Powell left Dollar tree due to emotional stress and afraid of being fired for the relationship with Linda. There are 27 cameras in this store for evidence starting back on February 5th. According to the Dollar tree policy a manager or supervisor is prohibited from engaging in any type of dating, romantic or sexual relationship with an associate.
manager complaint
I am complaining on Store Mngr store number 5101. My daughter and I went into the store to buy glasses for my son. I am nine months pregnant and this I sat on the floor to look through the glasses while my daughter passed them to me. After about 14-20 of searching we found two that worked and proceeded to checkout. Once at the register, [protected] walks around the counter and informs me that he is feeling merciful today. When I inquired as to what he was talking about, he then accused me of stealing glasses. So when I pulled everything out it my purse and lifted my shirt so he could clearly see that I was pregnant and had no other glasses on my person, he changed his tune. I kindly told him to call the police since he claims to have the incident on camera, to which he refused. I informed him that I would call the police because he was clearly accusing me of stealing and let them sort the matter out, and once they confirmed I had nothing I would be suing Dollar Tree. To which he replied, no all is well. I have not now, nor have I ever stolen anything in my life. Even After his horrible accusation, I still purchased the two pair of glasses. I will never patron another dollar tree, Walmart can have all my business from here on out, thanks but no thanks. I will still be formally contacting Corporate Office in Chesapeake, CA to issue a complaint.
rodent droppings
The store on 15901 S Wood Street in Harvey, IL has rodent droppings on their shelves. I am concerned about the possible health risk. The shelves and the product containers need to either be wooed down with disinfectant or the items damaged out. That is not something you want to see when you go to take a product off of the shelf. I was in the pet food aisle and the cat food cans were covered with droppings as well as the shelf. Looks like they moved those cans to the back of the shelf. There was also evidence of rodents on the dry food goods aisle.
Washed down
customer service - teeth whitening
I bought over 100 dazzle white teeth pens. Went to the store pick up the product in 6 brown shipping boxes. I got home opened the first box and to my surprise it's not dazzle white teeth pen but some other company teeth pen. Simple mistake. I see the picture on their online site. My email confirmation shows the name and picture of dazzle white but when I showed dollar tree they tell me it's no refunds. You leave the store it's accepting the order. Then told me that the order was complete because I order teeth whiting pens and these are teeth whiting pens. I would figure if you ordered a BMW and Honda Civic rolls out, you could not say well your ordered a car and this is a car. It made no sense the website the email confirmation are just false marketing pulls. Really not fair. Surprised you can do business like this.
store #206
Yesterday I went into this store on Braddock Road in Annandale VA and I saw TWO MICE. Of course, I yelled out "there's mice in this store". Two ladies came to me and I pointed out the area to them, but neither of them showed any concern. I asked one "are you going to do something about this" and she just looked at me and walked away. I'm coming to you so that you will get this situation taken care of, if not, I go to the Health Dept. I would like to hear from someone in this regard. Veronica Sanford, daytime # [protected].
