employee/customer service issue
Good Day,
I would like to file a formal complaint against an employee/manager at the Dollar Tree at 1960 W Tennessee Street, Tallahassee FL. He is a fair skinned near white man with dark/black hair. His name tag said George, however I am not sure if that is his real name.
I was asked to get the "f*" out of the store last night 9/2/17 after calmly confronting George concerning a previous incident that happened a few weeks ago while purchasing items in the store. George also bumped me with his chest as if to provoke a physical altercation from me and threw my purchase items on the next aisle over.
A few weeks before I was in the store and waited in a line for about 30 minutes. There was no sign at the register stating "no cash". After the cashier confirmed my total, I attempted to hand her the cash. She said "I can't take cash". I told her I had been waiting in line a long time and can she just take the cash. She stated "no, you will have to wait in another line". I was shocked. I left the full amount of the items along with my two pennies of change that is owed to me.
I looked around the parking lot. There was no one around my car. I then heard someone banging on my trunk. It looked like an associate due to the green shirt but I was not sure. I said to myself "these people are really crazy".. certainly. So I pulled out and kept driving. I then saw the man chasing me down the street. I became a bit frightened at this point. I made sure my doors were locked and cracked the window. He said "you hit me". I said I did not hit you and kept driving. He was irate.
About one hour later a police officer showed up at my house. The police officer stated the man in the store parking lot accused me of hitting him with my car. I told the officer, if I hit him, it was because he planted himself behind my car. I looked back before I started backing. If he was hit... it was because he purposefully planted himself there. I was shocked to see him working in the store last night and was told he was the manager by another employee. I am asking that the video tape from both incidents be pulled... The one where I allegedly hit him with my car and the video showing he bumping up against me with his chest to provoke a fight and cursed me. I am concerned with why the store manager was standing behind my car at night? Was it over a $2.00 purchase that I paid for in full.. but refused to wait in a second line? I believe he planted himself behind my car out of anger and to provoke violence. I am asking that the restraint be lifted that he requested with the police department requesting that I not be allowed back in the store. I am asking for the two video tapes to be pulled along with this manager to be addressed for his near violent behavior. He attempted to provoke a physical altercation by cursing me out, bumping up against my chest and most importantly banging on the trunk of my car like a crazed maniac. Please email me at [protected]@yahoo.com and call me at 850/2720186. I am not always able to answer the phone but will check my email.
Thank you, Richlyn

On Saturday September 2, 2017, I Deirdra B. Herbert visited the Dollar Tree at 10:51am to purchase items. While approaching the line to cash out; the line was long and another customer ahead of me had multiple items to purchase. I politely asked the cashier if there was another associate who could open another register. The cashier said, âI'm busy". The manager came out to open another register to get the line down. Then I was able to purchase my items and so was others. By the time I made it home I had a phone call from a relative saying to look on social media (Facebook). The dollar tree employee took to social media and posted a statement about me and used my full name. The name of the associate who used my full name on social media was Natasha Davis. The statement was "Why some black people so damn ignorant and always trying to seek attention...Dedra Bailey from across the river in Edgard, La came into the dollar tree today, we already busy and try to show her [censor] in my line. I'm da only cashier in here with her attitude" etc... I Deirdra Bailey have full proof and documents of the social media attack with dates and time of incident. I love to shop at dollar tree its very convenient and reasonable. I am very embarrassed because I live in a small town of Laplace, la and I also have a small business in Edgard, La. I was notified about the social media attack from various clients, family, and friends. I'm afraid to return for future purchases because she slandered my name on social media and I will inform family, friends and their friends about the horrible treatment and social media attack. I will no longer support Dollar Tree until something is done with the employee. The other employee involved in the comments on social media name was Iraneka Sanders. The documents I'm going to attach to this file has date, time and names of incident.

management and theft
Hello. I am writing this complaint in regards to the Harrison Ohio store 4990. I am a former employee of this store. I worked in the store for over 3 years. I worked as an assistant manager at the store for 5 months to fill in for a girl on Maternity leave. I was told I was going to keep my position as an ASM, then later was cut because I was told the company was making cutbacks on ASM. since I was the last hired I went back to cashier. I was also promised if there was an opening for the position that I would be next in line to get it since I was already trained. fast forward a year and I waited patiently and a spot did open up. I believed my manager that I would for sure have my position back. well about 4 months before the spot opened up she had hired one of her friends. she played strong favoritism toward her friend and even gave her more hours than the rest of the cashiers who are supposed to be part time. well her friend who had only been there for a few months also applied. I really didn't have much worries since I had the training for it already and I've been with the company over three years. well rumors started spreading that she was hiring her friend over me without any consideration for me at all. she also set up a face to face interview with the DM for her days before I was interviewed and apparently met him on different occasions and she spoke highly of her friend and talked very down on me so her friend would get the position. I had to settle for a quick 10 minute phone interview. Well my manager hired her friend over me, which I've worked very hard for years for this position only to lose my career with Dollar Tree over favoritism with my manager. I was so very emotional distressed and embarrassed that I had to leave, feeling very unappreciated and felt that my career with Dollar tree was over and that no matter how hard I worked there, I would never move up in the company because my manager was unfair and played favorites. I was devastated! anyone in the store at 4990 will tell you that I was the better candidate and that the job should have been mine. many employees expressed to me how unhappy they were with my managers decision. The woman she hired is also a known drug user and was even told to not come into work high. but she still would. even one girl quit (a very good employee) because she couldn't handle her drug use and having to do her job because she was too high to do it herself. she can vouche for me. that is who they hired into management over me. Only been at the store a few months and a drug abuser. Another ASM who also works there is a thief and has stolen from the safe, deposits, and merchandise and post voiding merchandise for customers and letting customers also steal. She has had very little disciplinary action taking against her. I believe my DMs exact words to my manager was to have a "heart to heart" with her. The stuff that goes on there is just unbelievable and people like that get put into management over an honest hard working woman who wanted the best for my store and it is an embarrassment to the company. There are several employees at that location who can vouche for my complaint. I called corporate Monday and the told me they would investigate my claim and call me back. I have yet to hear anything. I'm willing to speak to anyone about this. please have someone contact me.I'd very much appreciate it. Thank you!
customer service
I visited store number 1869 (dollar tree) in Irving, Texas on 8/30/2017 around 8:53pm. Immediately when I walked in store this rude employee who stated she is the assistant manager. Her name was Terri Thomas. When I walked into the store she immediately yelled we are close and you need to get what you need. So, I said excuse me then she stated that you need to get what you need. Which I feel is very rude and disrespectful to me or any customer. She also was very rude to another couple that was in front of me in the cashier line who was asking question about the price of water. I overheard her telling another employee they act like they don't understand. I asked the cashier by the name Courtney for the number for the compliant line. Which she tried to say she did not know it. Which I stated if you work here you have it. Then she asked the assistant manager Terri Thomas what the number was then she stated she doesn't have it. I told her if she is the manager she have it then she stated she is the assistant manager. I told her if she is the assistant manager she should have it wrote down somewhere. The cashier got a piece a paper and gave me the number [protected] which I called and recording saying green dot support which is for green dot cards. The gentlemen that was working on that shift was very polite. While he was letting me out the door he was apologizing how rude Terri Thomas the assistant manager was toward me. He stated that she is like that with everybody. I informed him that she doesn't need to work in management nor does she need to work with the public. I came home google dollar tree website and got customer service number which gave me number [protected] to call about a complaint.
store employees
I recently visited the Dollar Tree in Prestonsburg in the Glynview Plaza. The store manager, identified by her name tag, was being very unprofessional with another store employee. They were talking about personal things I did not want to hear. I asked for assistance with some food items and they completely ignored me. I did purchase a few things. Not what I wanted, and proceeded to check out. I had to stand and wait for someone to come from outside because the employees were all outside smoking at the front of the store with the manager. I feel like they are there to socialize and not work. I will.not go back.
store appearance
My local Dollar Tree on Rt 49 in Bridgeton NJ, doesn't keep up with the outside appearance of the store. A few times a month the trash cans out front will be piled high with trash over flowing to the sidewalk in front of the store. I thought it was a good idea to have one so close to me until i see they cant keep up with the appearance.
I pass this store everyday to and from work and after multiple times of seeing the trash for days, I stopped and spoke to the manager. Not only once, but a few times. I get the same answer thats they will take care of it. But yet it will still be there the next morning on my way to work. Its such an eye sore compared to the other Dollar Trees I have been too. My wife and I refuse to even go into the store anymore.
rude cashier deliberately opening products so they would dump out in the bag
I went into Dollar Tree on Sunday after having back surgery on Wednesday I purchased $49 worth of items when I came to the register there was no one there I saw a cashier she pointed me to a register I unloaded all of my items and waited for her to finish talking when she finally finished talking she told me that I went to the wrong register and that I had to come to the register next door so I collected all my items limping and having hard time after back surgery and she told me I had to wait in line again when I got to the front of the line I was angry and complained about her telling me that I went to the wrong register and forgot trying to help me after me asking her several times if she could help me she called me the b-word I got paid for my items something blue car went home and realize that she deliberately opened all the bottles of shampoo and conditioners and different liquid products that I purchased so they dumped out on the food products that I had bought through almost 39 things away I want my money back I've tried speaking to the manager she's never there they won't give me the manager's name I've tried calling corporate I leave message after message no one returns my call this is by far the worst I've ever been treated in the store and to not even be able to contact a corporate team member is unbelievable
discrimination
I am now a former employee...I loved my job . On the 23rd of Aug. we were busy as per the usual, I had gotten a bag of pretzels, went on my break, upon returning I noticed that the customer line was huge, I jumped back on my register to reduce the excessive line and reduce customer dissatisfaction. I totally forgot to pay for my pretzels at this time. Bill Pelossi the DM was in the store at this time and asked for my receipt, of which I immediately paid for. My concerns were for the store and not myself at this time and I got fired for this...the customers love me. I am one of your most loyal cashiers...never call out, always early, and never has Lynne the manager ever had to ask me to do anything, I just pitch right in. I am so hurt and angry. You never gave me the opportunity to face a board with this decission, and I feel this is so very wrong. There have been circumstances in other stores that have been citical errors an they've never been addressed...ASMs not opening their store, cops were called and nothing was done? no suspension? no reprermand? you explain this to me. I deserve better treatment than this. I feel as though I have been discriminated against.
Sadly,

the treatment my wife (dollar tree manager) is receiving from another manager and her cronies
This is probably not a normal complaint. I am a disabled vet my wife suffers from ptsd and some medical issues, but chooses to work until she cant. She was hired about a month and a half ago. (todays date august 29th) she went from cashier to management quick. (No complaints) so far she been accused of lossing the office keys. She swore to them they were put back after her shift she called me crying cause she new they were just messing with her. (for a better understanding. Most everyone there are good friends. All involved are hispanic and we are cauc.) around a week later she was approached by a cashier (One of the managers best friends) she said dont tell so and so but here and handed over the supposed lost keys. My wifes hours have been dropped down to less then their worst cashier. She went in one evening to find the store in shambles. The morning head manager didnt do anything and said it was left there from the night before. Not only that but everything was like a on purpose mess. Needless to say ti was left for her to fix and clean. Remember they are all friends.. They also wont let her stay in store after 9:30pm thats only a half hour after the store closes. They had her come in a 5pm. Call me a lazy marine (Yeah right) this is harrassment.. She has been told of other illegal things that are going on and is scared as hell. Im not for now this is all I have to say. If you truely value your employees (Your hard working honest ones) then email me or somethinmg im not to sure how all of this works. Im on the verg of visiting an attorney.. My pledge when we married was that I would protect her from any harm, please dont let this slip thru the cracks.. Disgruntled spouse
sunday philadelphia inquirer
We are able to buy the Phila. Inquirer for $1.00 at the Dollar Trees in New Jersey. Within an hour, they are sold out. Previously, a few people would BUY every one of them. After many complaints, the Westmont store put a 3-paper limit on the Phila. Inq. However, within an hour AGAIN, they are sold out. Last week, there were two women who had accumulated an entire cardboard box of newspapers. How difficult is it to get people to buy 3 papers and give them two? Aparrently, they must work in teams to buy the papers to resell (possibly at churches). The Inquirer is now $3.00 so there must be profit it what they are doing.
I told the checkers that they should ONLY sell one per person. Who needs more than one paper? The gentleman was very exasperated and said "it says on the door 3 papers per person". Is that any way to treat honest paying customers? I said there was something unscrupulous going on and they were perpetrating it!
refund
I went into the store on August 25th to make purchases that totaled almost $30. Apparently, I didnt have enough money cause the cashier told me that it cleared 4.62 and still had a balance of almost $26. I told the clerk I would be back and proceeded to call my bank. They informed me of some transactions that I had made and I didnt have enough so I sent my kids in the store to let them know I won't be purchasing the items I left in the basket and I was sorry. Well yesterday (28th), the amount cleared for $4.62 but no items were removed. I would like my money back.
store manager at #4482
I had an item that I returned and the cashier had the Store Manager to explain even with my receipt I could not get a refund. She left and the cashier had to call her for her key to finish transaction but she took off to go on her break. This was on 8/26 at 13:37 so we had to wait and she does it quickly and calls me doll. Then when she hands me my receipt she calls me baby and as I am leaving she yells out so the customers can see her as if I was rude to her. So I turn around as I left telling her to have a nice day. This kind of action is uncalled for. I teach my staff no matter what you give 120% for that customer is paying your salary. Period.

store manager
Greetings! The store manager for Dollartree in Jamaica, Queens, Sutphin and 115th, Mrs Kaur. She brings in Her boyfriend to the store to help her run the Store as a assisistant. He doesnt belong in the employees only area but she allows him to do and go anywhere. I also notice Mrs Kaur is using him to help her put the store together. Mrs. Kaur, the store manager, also brings him inthe back room and aisles to do little smooching, which is totally wrong. I tackled her about it and now I have been given an ultimatum thatI should Transfer or lose my Job. I dont want to transfer so Im asking if someone can step in and help. I have been like a superviser for all freezer and fridges in the queens area. When Mrs Kaur was transfered to my store she changed alot of my schedule and broke it down to nothing. And also told the other Dollartrees in the Area that She needs me Full time. Now she wants me out of her store. Please help...
bad customer service
Every time I go into the Dollar Tree on
3127 S.E Miltary drive suite 131 San Antonio, Texas
They are never smiling or ever greet you.
The manager is not a good example because she doesn't even smile or say hello when she passes you. Not a very good role model for her employees.
The cashiers never smile at you or says "HELLO" they just scan the items and take your money.
I loathe going in there cause I can't stand how bad the customer service is there. I take my mother every week. Sometimes two to three times a week. To see such bad unpleasant faces really is making me decide to take my business elsewhere. Please talk to the manger and her employees. Something needs to change. The General manager needs to address this. Thank you

employee doctor note
8/26/2017
Hello my name is Christine DiFiore and I am currently an employee for Dollar Tree in South Portland, ME 04106. I have been asked to get a doctors note for missing work because my child was sick. I have asked several other employees and they have not been asked to get a note when their child is sick and I don't think its fair treatment if I have to and they don't.
wandella - rude employee - store # 1588 / dunn ave. jacksonville, fl.
I visited Dollar Tree on Dunn Ave. to purchase items for my children, when I arrived at the store it was not busy, and all the employees were in a group at the counter . They all greeted me, but when I asked for help . I was getting an attitude from the associates, that made me feel unwelcome. The store was a wreck, there was boxes of merchandise in the middle of a majority of the aisle. I tried to look for items myself, but could not find them through all the clutter . After I finished shopping, I went to the checkout counter . The associate totaled my transaction. When I attempted to give her money, she moved her hand, and dropped my money on the conveyor belt, the money was lost on the belt . She then belittle me by saying " We tell you people not to pay over there, I am not responsible for your money". I was in shock by the way she was talking to me, the customer behind me to call corporate . Do not visit this store, The store is dirty and the employees are rude. ticket# [protected] [protected] sale was on 8/26/17 at 9:09am
store manager
I was disrespected verbally by the store manager. I feel it had a lot to do with my race. She is of another race and gave me a "little talk". Her approach was nasty and disrespectful. She claimed I had a demeanor about me. Obviously she never has known one of my "kind". I am extremely instinctive and listen to my gut. I had a bad feeling about her. I felt that she was racist and had something against me personally. I happen to be Indigenous American.(Native American) I have light skin so maybe she thinks I am White. I am racially and culturally different and she may think I am White so she expects me to be like a White person.
I feel I have been treated with racism
I and my children have been vulgarly talked to and about by a Dollar Tree employee several times and prevented from going down isles by the same employee. She stalked us through the store nearly everytime we go inside the store. I have made numerous complaints to the manager and nothing has been done. Today we went in and she would not even wait on us at register and pointedly had another worker check us out as she took other people and the other lady was also rude and didn't help anyone after us; she just walked off.
i bought a 36 pack today and i opened it tonight and most cans have a pinhole size hole in the top and its spilling out! was 60$ and im a devoted bud red 👆 fab. please help!

My teen and I also experienced that in Lynnwood and Edmonds, Hwy 99 Dollar Tree locations. In the Edmonds area branch, they followed my teen around while he was shopping with me, and about 1.5 yrs later at the Lynnwood location, the store clerk denied him use of their restroom facilities though she was very willing to let others use it.

yes hello to who this will concern but anyway what happened was Yesterday... The manager at the dollar store here in Frederick, Maryland on Jefferson street ...her name is Robin... threatened me for no reason... All I did was put something in the trash can on my way to a friend of mine to do some work... And she was out there talking to someone and told me there was nothing in that ash tray... I said so? I'm just throwing away something... She said if I do it again she's going to break my fingers... she was trying to imply that she didnt like when her cigarette butts go missing from out of the ash tray... but She was lying... I didn't do anything wrong... She did... so i just went on to my friends house... she had no reason to do that.. but .. if she didn't want them taken she should not put them there.. but people do do that... but it was about at 8 o clock am Monday morning
