empty store at #2009
I live less that 10 miles from the store. And ever since probably spring of 2016 this store has gone down hill. There is hardly anything on the shelves causing me and my family to go to other stores further away. The district manager right before thanksgiving had just gotten the store to look like a store. I wad just in there with my mom and once again there was hardly anything on the shelves. I can do to any other Dollar Tree within a 30 mile span and no other store ever has an issue with stocking the shelves. I hate that we have to go elsewhere but we have to go where there is product. I really wish that store #2009 was under better management that could get product on the shelves and keep it there. I asked the cashier and she said the stockroom is so full that you cannot even hardly get in it.
dollar tree cashier experienced...
I DR. Jerome Smith visits in B'ham Alabama for the Holiday, O into a Dollar Store for some shopping, upon my check out I asked the cashier to sperated house hold From food items, at that point AND time she became very upset with my requested, and she began using very bad language at me. At that time I requested to speak with a manager, first I informed the manager about my requested to the cashier, then the very bad language that was used toward me, and how the cashier throw my money all over the floor. The cashier again became outrage at me for explaining to the manager, and began trying to attack me and hurt me in very high raging fitted, at that point and time the manager had to hold the cashier with everything she had within the manager. I have never experienced anything like that in my life, the manager asked me to step outside the store so she could bring me my money due back from the purchase. So sad to say I was just visiting from Cleveland Ohio, in the state of Birmingham, Alabama.
employee and manager
They had an aisle on 12/26/16 advertising christmas candy at a discount, 50 cents an item. I picked out two items, went through checkout to find that they had charged me $1 each, full price. I went through the line a second time, and when I asked for a correction, they said they couldn't do it, and couldn't refund my money, either. Their policy is no cash refunds, but exchanges, but this should not have been the case when they marked prices wrong. I said I would call corporate, and right away the manager said, "want the number?" in a snippy, confrontational voice. I said no, I would get it myself. I got out of the way and had trouble connecting because corporate was closed the day after the holiday. Finally, the cashier waved a dollar bill and gave me a refund. But why couldn't that have been done in the first place? It was their mistake, after all. (By the way, as I was leaving the store, the manager was moving the candy from the 50-cent shelves to the regular dollar shelves). They should make up their mind what is discount candy and what isn't.
the service
1st of all this is the 3rd time I have been followed around the store.I pay for what I want, and on this visit your store manager, and another employee were working the floor as I passed them by and they did not greet me, but they where in conversation as I and her made eye contact...In lu of this being the 3rd time being followed around I`ll take my money else where .And it is always a cashier doing the following everytime ..I wish one of your employees would stop me, and put there hands on me .!12/26/2016 time:15:40 Ps. the assistant manager is always professional and polite...Your store manager lacks what it takes...
store cleanliness
I live in Pine Bluff Arkansas this complaint is about the Dollar Tree on South Olive here in Pine Bluff! This store is a complete disaster! It's an accident waiting to happen. I have never seen anything like this a day in my life. They just throw things on the shelves and expect for the customers to dig through the merchandise. They place boxes out instead of stocking the shelves
The problem I've always seen in that store is some mother out doing her shopping while her car load of brats are running wild. All 3 of the dollar trees in that town are understaffed at any time and can't be responsible for babysitting every idiot's offspring around. Funny how the other 2 however do keep a somewhat more tidy mess.
assistant manager
Told my daughter she had to leave the store because she was not with an adult! She is 17 years old ! My daughter asked if she could buy Christmas supplies for her church youth group and the mean rude cashier told her no and she had to leave the store! So she did she called me upset so I called and told the assistant manager that was mean and heartless to tell her and that I was going to report to corporate and she said go ahead b####! And hung the phone up on me so I called her back and asked how can you talk to me like that she called a b#### again and hung up on me I just want for someone to hear me as a parent this can not be tolerated! She needs to stopped what if other teenagers were refused service please listen to my letter and help me !

I went and complained and then the week of thanksgiving she said i hit her with a box. Then last week thurday i get called to office saying im herrasing her when i dont even work around her. I work the complete other side of the building and on break i stay outside. I dont bump heads with her. And today i get a call saying im suspended due to investigation wich i find to be not fair at all. When i dont even conversate or pass her way. My name is hendyliz and the girls name is donnette. And knowing ive went to hr about her and the manager having a relationship and favoritisme now this happens. I told them i thonk its personal and not job related
I am complaining about racial profiling
I was shopping at dollar tree with two of my friends and we noticed the manger was following us every aisle we went to and when we asked why is he following us he responded by saying we are black and look suspicious that made me and my friends very angry and we told that does not give him a reason to follow us around so we proceeded to go checkout the stuff...
Read full review of Dollar Tree and 17 commentslack of carts
Our Woodhaven Michigan store is always extremely busy and there are never enough carts for customers despite the staff trying there hardest to provide them. It is upsetting this time of year when customers are shopping for Christmas. I know that the Store Manager and District Manager have submitted requests for additional carts but have been denied. I have a hard time understanding why a company this large would accept the financial loss of business that is solely the result of not providing for the needs of customers. The employees and local management are clearly trying their hardest but are being shot down by corporate. Just sad!
store manager
I went into the Atmore store with my niece and her kids about mid November. While we were in the store I heard the manager telling a child in the next aisle, "I should do like we did in the old days and give you a broom and make you sweep and clean up." My niece went to see who she (JENNIFER) were talking to, and realized it was her daughter. She approached her daughter, and she said she had tripped over a dog toy already on the floor. Jennifer said she should have picked it up, and yes she should have handed the child a broom. Needless to say my niece and Jennifer had words. Therefore, Jennifer feels it was necessarily to call the police after we left and have the police sent looking for her like she was a criminal for speaking her mind after a racist comment of that nature was made. The police informed us that Jennifer says my niece is not allowed in the store, that she will be trespassing if she is actually shopping in the ATMORE DOLLAR TREE. JENNIFER ALSO INFORMED OTHERS IN THE STORE THAT MY NIECE IS A TERRORIST. PLEASE address this matter.
I know Jennifer and I know she is a total b###h. She once called me the N word to my face and threatened to call the police on me because "You are a stinky N--------...
manager on duty
I was at Dollar Tree in Cross Lanes, WV and needed assistance with an item I was searching for. The cashier directed me towards the manager, Tanya, that was in the back of the store. When I finally found her she was chatting on her cellphone with what sounded like a boyfriend from the way she was talking. I waited patiently, while she clearly saw me standing there in need of assistance, until she hung up and acknowledged me. Once she did, I regretted ever wasting my time in that store. Tanya was rude and impatient with me as I asked questions to the point that I just walked away and left the store. I would not step foot back in there unless this so called "manager" was reprimanded for her unprofessional attitude. I would hope that Dollar Tree Corporation would want a better manager to represent their store. E
tax exempt
I am a tax exempt buyer for a non-profit organization that purchases frequently from Dollar tree. Most of our purchases are at the store and I have a tax exempt card issued thru the state I use have no problems. Online however they will never exempt by taxes! I have sent in my tax exempt info, received an approval dated 2/19/16, yet I continue to be charged tax. When I called to ask why I was charged they said my approval had expired because it only last a year. As you can see, it should be current for a few more months (which I stated to them, and their answer was the same, it's expired, and needs annual renewal). Annual by my knowledge is yearly, yet this one expired in 8 months? They won't refund my taxes even with proof I have been approved and its been less than a year. Also, customer service said they can't help with tax exempt, so I asked for a supervisor, they responded "They don't like to take these call! Please tell me who I should get assistance from...customer service can't help and a supervisor can't/won't either. I was going to start ordering all my supplies online instead of in store, but I CAN NOT DO THIS PAYING TAX! It's frustrating to deal with this every time I order and get no where! No one can or will help and I end of paying tax every time! We are non-profit and can't and will not continue to order if someone can't help settle this situation. Bottom line, Dollar tree is over charging a non-profit organization with taxes. I'm sure that is not the image you want from customers so any help with resolving this would stop any negative reviews that will be posted from our non-profit religious organization.
customer treatment from manager
I was checking out with a wonderful cashier and handed her a 100 dollar bill to pay for my many items that filled my cart. I was excited to decorate for christmas and get some random little household necessities. Another woman walked up, I assume the manager, and began talking to the cashier. The cashier had previously warned me she may or may not be able to break the 100. I was very much ready to change my form of pay if she unable to do so. However, as soon as she accepted my 100, the manager noticed and asked the cashier if she could break it. She said 'I think so'. Then, the manager stumbled on her words a bit and angeily looked at me and said they cannot break it. She repeated herself when I looked confused, heightening her tone in her voice. I politely told her the cashier thought she could. The till was still unopened. In fact during my entire experience, it was never opened. She rudely told me they could not break it and gave me a disgusted look. I was very much struck by her negative mood and decided that in no way I wanted to spend my money at this store with her running it in that way. I apologized to the cashier a few times knowing that she had just wasted her time and I truly felt bad. However, the way the manager dealt with me was uncalled for and quite ridiculous! She never once checked the till and also, never even apologized, spoke nicely, or asked for another form of payment.
returning items 11/21/2016
i purchased several items and had to return one item.
the staff would not give me the original receipt back stating they need to keep it for their records, i informed them that i wouldn't have any proof of purchase for the other items that i purchase the staff was very rude and disrespectful i am an elderly women who was fearful because of the way i was treated, for this reason i will not visit this store again store #5551 39 Belmont ave Brooklyn, New York [protected]
the manager and cashiers nasty attitudes rude comments to black customers.
The manager on chapman hwy Knoxville tn. Shes rude nasty makes racist comments to black customers running around following them not letting them shop like the white people i will never shop there again and have told several friends she acted and looked like a big fool the people she followed had a 100.00 dollar bill she stated to the black lady can you make me some money off your counterfeit machine loudly and laughed and told the cashier you have to watch these people she should be ashamed of her racist butt. I will never shop there again. A white customer fool face.
Dollar tree sucks racist fools want shop there again.
customer treatment by manager
My family and I shop in Dollar Tree often but that may change if something is not settled. This is the fourth time a situation such as this has occurred. My mother and two adult children were shopping at the Weston, WV store and the manager was standing at the head if an aisle waiting to get through with her arms full of merchandise. My mother stepped back and told her that she could go ahead since her arms were full. The manager refused to acknowledge her presence so she politely said it again but this time the manager barked at her to "go on!" Now, not only was this rude but it was uncalled for as well. This manager, Anita Droppleman, is a relative of my ex-husband and I believe she treats my family and I like this based on the fact that we are now divorced. I feel that she is very unprofessional and other patrons also made comments to us that a manager should behave that way to a customer. This is the culmination of several trips there with her acting inappropriately and I would like something done so we can continue to shop there and be treated like any other customers. Thank you.
unethical behavior
I have a staff complaint about W. Broadway store in Columbia Missouri. One of the staff started yelling at me for no reason and accused me of shop lifting without even asking to see what was in my pocket. I am a lady of 46. I addressed him on how he yelled at me and took no responsibility for the fact that he was wrong. I went to the manager and told her what happened and asked if she would have the district manager contact me either by phone or email and I have heard nothing. It has been two weeks. I would love either an email or a phone call from someone to discuss this. Another staff member is also very rude. I asked her if she knew how to get in touch with the district manager. She said "I don't know" and laughed about it. I would like to go into more detail. Please call or email me. My email address is lori.[protected]@gmail.com and my phone number is [protected].

assorted colored wine glasses
I ordered 2 cases of 24 each assorted colored wine glasses and only received navy blue and 11 were broken. I called and after being on hold 40 minutes Tonya answered and told me there aren't assorted glasses only navy blue and if I was unhappy find a store to return them to. Order # EC 3010347. This complaint has fallen on deaf ears. Going to BBB and the news
