customer service
I visited the store located off John Ralston/Holland today around 11am. The cashier was very nice. However the manager that didn't have a name badge on walking around on her ear piece cursing was very rude and unprofessional. This store is nasty. Boxing every where. The District Manager needs to be fired. This store is a store I use to like coming to now I'm rethinking Dollar Tree all together. Shopping carts are filled with go backs. The cashier there was very nice and helpful but the way I heard the manager speaking this morning I felt like I was in a good store.
complaining on about customer service of an employee and long lines.
On July 1, 2018 I entered into a dollar's tree store at Poplar Plaza between Highland and Poplar Memphis Tennessee. The lines were long with about 12-15 people. The number on read 3476 I guess but store is S101. I only saw one cashier attending to customers so I asked are you only cashier. She stated"no" then I asked for manager. The manager come out of the office and asked what is the matter. I stated the same above information to her. She stated well I am clearing my draw and I askef do you have anyone else because you shouldn't have to stand in a long lines. She closed the door with no respects to my concern. I m forward this complaint to your office for matter to be addressed being professionals, courteous, helpful and be respectful should be Dollar's Tree motto. I patronized this business on a regular basis and have access to social media to voice my concern. My email address is [protected]@aol.com. I look forward to hearing from your company's.
dollar tree customer service
I went to dollar tree in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin today. July 2, 2018. At 1:00pm I went to buy two bags of chips, a bag of peanuts in the shell and two cold sodas. When I got to the cashier no asking me if I found everything ok. When it was time to pay i used my bank card. The first i tried debit and it was declined. So I tried credit three other times and still declined. The manager at that time was rude. He said do you having money on the card. I said yes $5.45 is left on the card. Then he said rude do you have cash I said no. I walked out of the store And I said I take my business somewhere else.
quality of service and discourties at store #5305

6/29/2018
Dear Consumer Affairs Manager
I wish to lodge a complaint against your employee/s of store # 5305 located at 2294 Nostrand Ave. Brooklyn N.Y. [protected].
While waiting at the cash register on the morning of 06/27/2018, cashier Porsha (not wearing a name tag), instructed me to remove the store's basket that I rested on a garbage container in an empty cashier station. I requested that she prefaced her instruction with the word "please". She refused, and referred me to a gentleman (again, not wearing a name tag). At that time I requested to speak to the manager.
The gentleman whose name I later learned was Derrick, said that he was the manager, but refused to give me his name. I told him I would lodge a complaint at the Store's corporate headquarters. He said, "Go ahead! They won't do anything".
So I walked across and knocked on the office door. A young lady, (again, not wearing a name tag) who gave her name as Tina, said she was the Manager.
After explaining that it was the third time that Porsha, rudely ordered me, and other customers to place the baskets in designated areas, Tina explained that it was because of a safety issue that baskets should be placed in safe areas. However, she did not address, or apologize for Porsha's discourtesies. I further pointed out that she (Porsha) refused to cash-out my intended purchases at her register. Tina apprised me that that Porsha had that "right", and consequently, she (Tina) would cash-out my purchases, which she promptly did.
Please enlighten as to your corporate policies regarding such discourtesies experienced at store #5305, that were condoned by Manager Tina. Is this "business as usual", and conduct enshrined in your corporate treatment of customers?
Thanks in anticipation for your prompt response.
Sincerely,
Douglas Haynes, Ph.D.

employee training / customer safety
On 7/1/18 at around 2:00 PM, my family and I were in your store located at 1420 E. Florida Ave, Hemet Ca. While waiting in line for check out, a verbal fight broke out between one of your cashers and a very irate customer. The longer it went on, the louder it got. Both shared in vulgar shouting of words like "Niger and [censored] You" over and over again. I moved to another line and asked the casher to call the police. She told me that only the store manager was authorized to make such a call. When I found the "manager", I was informed the she also needed authorization to call the police. The shouting got louder and both sides were threatening to call in friends and family members to get a more physical violent resolution. The store is located in a heavily populated gang area. The whole time your "manager stood to the side and did absolutely nothing. She told me to mind my own business or just leave. Both my daughter and I are in wheelchairs, quickly moving or protecting my family is next to imposable. Other customers heard my request to simply call the police and decided to leave their baskets and got out. I asked again for the "manager" to call the police and was informed that if anything happened, it would be recorded on stores security camera. I feel that it would not have helped to see the aftermath. We, as well as other customers will never shop that store again. I bring this to your attention to suggest safety training should be done on how to respond to an incident like that to protect your employees and customers like me. I do request a response from you on your thoughts.
store #2220
I've always gone to the Beaverbrook store which was always clean. Now that that store is gone I went to the store above, big mistake. It was my first and last time there. The store shelves were empty trash was down every row on floor just a mess. The lastest Dollar Tree don near Lowe's on track 13 the shelves were empty. I will have to wait to my store is rebuilt in order to go into a clean and stocked shelf store.
holly, michigan store
Was suprised when I got to the Holly, Michigan Dollar Tree, that is suppose to open at 10am and still isn't open at 10:50am. There is an employee who has been here since 9:30am waiting to work. I called the Fenton, Michigan store and they called who ever is in charge of this store, but had to leave them a message. I can say watching all the cars pull in and out that alot of business and money have been lost. Very disappointed as this is my go to store.
employment and employment status
I was employed with Dollar Tree from May 1, 2018 thru June 15, 2018.
To be honest I truly liked working for Dollar Tree but I would like to work at a different store . If possible I would like to work at the Pinnacle store with is only two miles from where I live in Covington.
I have an issue with the Store Manager Jane Gordon, on Friday, June 15, 2018 as the store assistant manager was coming to work and the manager was preparing for the day, she (Jane Gordon) stopped at the register I was working on and proceeded to tell the assistant manager that she had to leave before she went off on someone and looked straight at me. This upset me because I had not done anything wrong. So on Saturday June 16th and Sunday June 17th I did not report to work because I was having anxiety issues with what the store manager had said on Friday. I take medication for anxiety and I explained that to Ms. Jane previously. So on Saturday and Sunday, I was not able to speak to anyone without being upset. I finally got in touch with Ms. Jane and she said since I did not answer her call or text that I had quit, which in fact I told her that I had not quit and if she felt that she had to write me up I would gladly give the response at the bottom why I was not at work on those two days.
This is some of the explanation to why Ms. Jane had been abrupt with me.
When I was hired on with Dollar Tree at Store 02722 and explained to Ms. Jane that I was on Disability and I could only work 20 to 25 hours a week and Ms. Jane told me that all the employees only get 25 hours a week which every week she had me down for 30 to 35 hours a week and with 2 days off, but on some of my days off she would text or call me from her cell phone stating that she needed a cashier, part was my fault because it was part of my job that I went in. After a month of working I had to report back to Social Security with my checks so they could log the information to my file. Well at the point I was over my allotment for the month. While at Social Security I called Ms. Jane and stated I would be late coming to work since I was still there. When I returned to work I tried to explain why I had to go to Social Security she totally avoided me, and the rest of the week she avoided me as well and then she made the statement on Friday about going off on someone. Also, several times a week there was one employee calling in that she would be late and she was my relief and I had to stay until she got there which was sometimes several hours before closing.
I would like a response as the whether or not I am still employed, fired. I would also like to know if I am rehire-able.
Need an answer.
unethical behavior - store manager "pamela"
912 E. Swan Creek Road.
Fort Washington, MD 20744

on 06/25/2017 at approximately 8:30am as I stood in the check out line behind approximately 4-5 customers at the Dollar Tree located at the above address.. A older male customer requested that the Manager, Pamela, open another line, as the line has now grew to approximately 8-10 customers and Associate "Wendy" was the only cashier. The Manager loudly communicated "I have other things to do" The Customer responded, "The store is not closed yet and the line is long". Additionally, the customer continued to make loud comments that finally led Pamela to open a register and unfortunately, she began to make loud intrusive comments back and forth with the customer. To this end, the customer in which she was arguing with followed the procession of customers to her line and it appeared to have lead him to be the 3rd to 4th customer in line. Unfortunately, as the Manager continued to cash out customer, she and customer continued to argue aloud. At one point, she informed Wendy to take the customer into her line as she noted that she would not service rude customers and noted that before she service him that she would check out and "take my 10". Wendy encouraged Pamela to check out and "take her 10" and she would continue to service the other patrons. Wendy further commented that she was going to call the police to have him removed from the store. An additional attempt to cease the argument came from a customer in Pamela's line who encouraged her not to argue back - however this was not successful. As I proceeded to cash out with Wendy, I noticed that she was frustrated and was quickly scanning my items. I noticed that she was scanning the same items duplicate times. I requested that she check the monitor to ensure that everything was accurate and her curt response to me was "I am trying to get you out of here". I reminded her that I have not been rude to her and therefore I do not expect the same in return - she quickly apologized. I don't usually frequent this Dollar Tree as it appears grossly unorganized and lack minimally good customer service and this is not where I choose to spend my money and only f it is the last resort - and last night it was. Funny how store in the Hampton Roads area operate exceptionally different than those in Northern Virginia. This email/complaint comes as (1) I was embarrassed for the Manager - Pamela. It appears that she could benefit from a customer service training and a performance plan that causes her to enhance her store, quality of customer care and the scheduling of employments and her overall attitude. I'm sure this can be a driving factor in sales. (2) It was unfortunate that many customers had to witness this event. Everyone stood quietly as though we were watching an enactment of a play. and Lastly, (3) the ultimate reason for this email was due to sheer fear. As I stood quietly, I commented to the patron behind me that I was afraid. I have NEVER witness such as this between a Manager and Customer. My fear was so paralyzing that I was overcharged $4.00 for items due to Wendy's quick scanning, However, I refused to return to the store. This store can further more benefit from secret shoppers and basis.
No update at this present time.
cashiers unethical behaviour
I am a frequent shopper at Dollar Tree.
I entered on the left side and then made my way to the right side of the store. As I entered the food aisle, I noticed one of the cashiers enter the aisle and stared at me. She turned and left and a few minutes later, another cashier does the same thing.
Not sure what that was about, but I continued to shop. On my way to the register, I overhead one of the employees: The police was called for 2 habitual thieves that had entered the store and was in the back removing stuff.
Certainly, it had nothing to do with me. I am not a shoplifter and do not appreciate being treated like one. The way cashiers acted in the aisle I was in, made me very uncomfortable. They were too obvious with their actions.
My family and I will not be shopping there again.
I usually shop at the Bel Air Md, Boulton St store. The store is messy...merchandise is thrown on the floor or moved to another store area. The merchandise that makes it to a shelf is in disarray. There is trash everywhere and the floors are very dirty. I’m ready to help the manager by sorting and organizing merchandise to make the store more presentable and appealing. Unpaid of course. I’ve read similar comments about other stores with the same problems. Where is your policy on cleaning, merchandising, etc. or don’t you have one?

when you enter the store right away you know that the store its no what you think you confront yourself with cart full of merchandises all over the store isle that you cant walk because the cart are block you to go thru shelf empty you ask the workers about some item that you need they don't know or that not there job you get so frustrated that you walk out without buying anything that how bad is that store..
customer carts
I frequent the Dollar Tree located on North Avenue in New Rochelle, N.Y. quite frequently. I have been able to overlook the boxes blocking the aisles and general disarray of the store although I don't see how that can be good for business. Some aisles are totally impassable. I went to this particular store today with my 2 1/2 year old grand niece. We shopped weaving in and out around boxes and finally made our purchase of 5 bags full of merchandise. The cashier was very nice. I paid and was very taken back when I was unable to take the cart into the parking lot due to some kind of ridged carpet. As I stated I purchased quite a bit and had a 2 1/2 year old in tow. As you can imagine grabbing my bags, the toddler and my bag and managing it all to my car was no easy task. As it stands now, unless that policy changes I will never frequent that store again. It was bad enough for me to struggle but I wonder how someone who is truly handicapped could ever manage it. I realize carts get stolen but there has to be a better solution if they want the business of the elderly and mothers of little ones (which by the way is probably their best customers).
about 2, or 3 employees rude behavior.
I have been given a hard time every time I see your company's black female security guard who works during the 2nd shift. And lately, I had seen during my last visit over at that same Dollar Tree, Inc. store, a Spanish female coming off of the sidewalk and entering your store, and looking at my face in a very very disrespectful manner, looking at me, like she wants for me to kiss her [censored] BIG TIME. Okay. She looks like the same Spanish female assistant manager who I have seen working there about a couple of month's ago. But, I don't know if she still works at that same Dollar Tree, Inc. that I go to as a customer. She has her hair painted in yellow, and she is stocky, and she looks like she wears clothes that shows off the shape of her breasts real good. Okay. She made more of a big deal than what was necessary when I had complained to her about a white bag of bread that I had bought from that Dollar Tree, Inc. store, and that Spanish female assistant manager had talked to me very very nasty. All I had said to her, was that the white bag of bread had tasted stale, and that it was supposed to have a taste of freshness, but it did not have that taste of freshness, at all. Okay. So, when I had told your Spanish female assistant manager that, she had the nerve to really go off on me in front of a number of customers, as if she was to try to say that she don't like to hear complaints, at all. I did not know how to go about making an official complaint to your corporate office, at first, about the stale white bread, or about anything else. All I knew at first, was to know about complaining to the site assistant manager about the stale bread, and I wasn't 100 percent sure about what was the exact procedure, or protocol on how to get your company to stop selling customers like me the stale white bread that was not worth buying over at the Dollar Tree, Inc. located at 925 Hunts Point Avenue, Bronx, New York But, just to make it very clear with you, that Spanish female assistant manager had talked to me very very nasty, and she mistreated me, too. I did not know, at first, until last weekend, that there is a way, in which a customer like me can file a complaint, or 2 online. Because I had tried to call up your corporate office several months ago, and nobody would pick up the phone, at all. I had waited on the phone for a very very long time, and nobody would pick up the phone, at all. Okay. I used to have more problems with service issues coming from more employees over at that Dollar Tree, Inc. store location on August of the year 2017, which was last year, but, I stood away from that store for like about several weeks as a result of that, and then I suddenly had called up the store manager over the phone, from that Dollar Tree, Inc., and I had asked her, can I still come in to your store, in order for me to buy stuff as a customer? And she had said, "yes." And so I did return to that store on 925 Hunts Point Avenue, Bronx, New York 10459 in order for me to buy some food and non food products as a customer. Because, at first, on August of last year, there was a regular Spanish female employee who had threatened to call the police on me, and have me arrested when all I did was to complain about some of the other customers being rude and disrespectful, because they would not let me grab some frozen food over at the freezer that your Dollar Tree, Inc. store has. U also had made several legitimate complaints face to face, last year, on more than 1 visit about some employees giving me a hard time, and behaving rude towards me. About a couple of employees in that store had accused me of creating a commotion in your store, in I was not trying to do so. Okay. The same female Spanish female employee, who had threatened to call up the cops on me, had the nerve to escort me out of that Dollar Tree, Inc. store, and she had held the door entrance open, while she had shoved her chest into mine, and had given me a real smart mouth. I did not have a chance to get her name. This problem had happened during the summer of last year. I do not think that she still works there. However, I still am having an ongoing problem dealing with a black female security guard who keeps harassing me in that same store with her rude behavior, because she purposely tries to get on my nerves so bad every time when I come into that same damn Dollar Tree, Inc. during the afternoon, and evening time, and I be minding my business, and behaving, and she be acting like she doesn't want to see my face coming back to that Dollar Tree, Inc. store ever again. Okay. I already had complianed to her security company about the issue, and nobody terminates her from employment. Okay. Jesus ! As of lately, separate from me having to deal with that rude black female security guard from that store, I would see a Spanish male cashier, who also does stock clerk duties, looking at me the wrong way, and also looking at me, as if he was trying to say that he was surprised to see me coming back to their store in order for me shop for different things as a customer. Okay. That male hasn't even worked there that long, and yet, if I am not mistaken, he is a brand new employee, who hasn't seen me coming into that store all that much. He only has seen me coming into that store like about 2, or 3, or 4 times, at the most. Okay. I do not know if some other employee had said something bad about me, or not. Well, anyway, I know that you might want the names of who ever it is, who has been giving me a hard time, but I get a hard time from people whenever I verbally ask them for their names, shortly after I go through a bad experience with them directly. Do you understand now? But, I can give you their job title, in which, that's what I already did in my complaint. So, once again, the address to that Dollar Tree, Inc. store that gives me service issues, as well as too many attitude issues, as well as the rude behaviors is located on 925 Hunts Point Avenue, Bronx, New York 10459.
I meant to type up in my last statement about your company's black female security guard, that she made it difficult to have my question answered, when I had asked her during the summer of last year, if she was following me up the stairs, or not. I am officially disabled. I do not want to go to another Dollar Tree, Inc. store that is more farther away from home, as a result of employees, or a stupid Spanish female assistant manager getting on my nerves, and behaving rude, and disrespectful towards me, and giving me a hard time. Okay. I ask for your corporate office to PLEASE KINDLY HELP ME TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM SOLVED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Other nearby supermarkets charge an arm and a leg too much for certain products that they be selling, such as their meats, such as the raw chicken that you cook on top of a stove, the raw beef stew, and other frozen raw meats. I come to your store, not only because I like a lot of the products that your company sells to me, but I also really appreciate the fact that your company charges less money for the products that your company sells, as opposed to the nearby supermarkets. Because some of these nearby supermarkets are greedy with how much money that they want to charge for the foods that they sell, in which it makes it more difficult for me to stretch my food budget for the month. Okay. I depend on food stamps from the government, in order for me to get by for the month, so that I can buy my food for the month. I am assuming that maybe I have been given a hard time needlessly by some of your rude employees, and female security guard, because of the fact that the Dollar Tree, Inc. that is located on 925 Hunts Point Avenue, Bronx, New York 10459 is the closest store to where I live at, and they figured that if I want to keep coming back into their store location on 925 Hunts Point Avenue, Bronx, New York 10459, that I would have to continue to take their ongoing emotional, and psychological abuse. I am observing, that that is especially the abusive attitude issue of that black female security guard, more than from any other staff worker, who works in that store. I walk with a cane. I have a twisted ankle, and 2 messed up knees. I do not find it convenient for me to shop more further away from home. I find it to be a hassle instead. I live alone, and I do not have a home health aide, because I do not want a home health aide. Please help me. I want to resume having nothing but pleasant expereinces in that Dollar Tree, Inc., store, that is located on 925 Hunts Point Avenue, Bronx, New York 10459, as I continue to shop as a true customer of your company. I truly truly appreciate and value the products that your company sells. Thank you for reading my entire complaint, and thank you for your time.
Oh yeah, I had forgotten to mention about how I had thought, at 1st that the black female security guard who works at your Dollar Tree, Inc. store had been following me up the stairs, in the summer of last year, whenever I would onto the 2nd floor in order for me to purchase some stuff in your store. When I had questioned that black female security guard, in order for me to find out from her if she was following me up the stairs, she had told me: "No." But, she took quite a while just to answer my question, and she did not make it kind of difficult in order for me to get my question answered. Okay.
There is a sentence in my complaint that says that "U also had made several legitimate complaints face to face"... That was a typing mistake. Okay. I meant to type up in that sentence: "I also had made several legitimate complaints face to face"...

sales associate
Date of Incident: 06/25/18
Sales Associate: Ana Store# 4088
The Sales Associate was absolutely rude and disrespectful to me at the cash register. I purchased 4 pairs of socks and wanted to verify the sizes to ensure they accurate. The associate already rung the first two pairs and put them in the shopping bag, at which point I asked her if I please see them to make sure of the sizes. She pulled one out of the bag and handed it to me. I asked if I could also see the other one as well and that is when she seemed frustrated by my request and tossed the bag to me! She said, "you can look in there yourself"! I remained calm, not to cause a commotion and allowed her to proceed with check out. Afterwards, while putting my credit card into my wallet still in line, I noticed the associate's friendlier engagement with the next customer who happened to be an older Caucasian lady. Yes, I am a Black woman who may appear younger than my age, nonetheless; I am married, mother of 2, highly educated with multiple degrees and in managerial position at a corporate 500 company. I refuse to minimize my integrity and intelligence by being confrontational with small minded biased individuals like the associate, Ana. She obviously lacks the tools and awareness to deal with people of various background, instead she is using what we term "unconscious bias".
So, needless to say, I left the store and immediately called the store's phone number to ask for the store manager (Israel). With all certainty, Ana answered the phone and when I asked to please speak with the manager, she did not greet upon answering the phone and was hesitant in passing the call to the manager.
Either the associate is trained, although it is difficult to undo unconscious bias behavior, or replaced because she represents your company and brand.
the attitude and customer service that was given by the manager
Today I went to go visit to get a couple items from your Pittsburgh Pennsylvania store on 2350 Noblestown Road store number 4522 while in the checkout line there was one cashier working and she called to the front for another case your name Denise to assist her Denise came to the front and you can tell she had an attitude I had a basket in my hand there was two people in front of me I emptied out my basket on to the lady Charlotte's conveyor belt because that was my cashier a customer in front of me offered to take the basket out of my hand his name was John he took the basket out of my hand and he said it on the end of the register and when John set the basket down you heard Denise on the first register yell out that doesn't even go there don't put that right there and you're interrupting me trying to ring up customers me and if you ever customers in the store stopped and looked at her and let her know what she just did was rude and then she kept carrying on asked to speak with the manager and she said oh well you're looking at the manager I am the manager and I have a right to have an attitude I came into work today with a very messy store there and I just feel like for her to be a manager and to be representing your store she should not show or display any type of attitude like she did today that was very disrespectful and it was wrong of her she never once apologized for her demeanor or her attitude towards anyone in the store when I asked what was her name she refused to give me her name I also ask the cashier Charlotte for Denise's first and last name Charlotte told me that she could not give me Denise's first and last name I would have to ask her for it then I turn to Charlotte and say why wouldn't you give me her name if you know I'm trying to make a complaint and you just said her name over the loudspeaker so I know her first name is Denise so you're not going to tell me her last name she said no you have to ask her
You need to learn punctuation or you will end up working there for the rest of your life.
That aside, it's a dollar store. What do you expect for $7.25 an hour.
stir manager
I went into a dollar tree today because I had bought a stack of serving trays and one of them was damaged and I brought it back to the store to exchange it and the manager Erica was very ugly and rude with me and she threatened me bodily harm because I complained about her customer service. I filed a police report against her. This type of treatment of customers is unacceptable. This was on Buford highway at northeast plaza in Atlanta, ga.
manager of dollar tree on stage
So I just got fired after working my shift. He said that I don't do no work, I don't do what I'm supposed to do. The employees at the dollar tree in Bartlett on stage rd do more work than the manager it self. All he does is just sit in the office and say he doing work but just be on his phone. and the employees are responsible to do the work that he is not doing. IF he is in the mood he will maybe go get 1 or 2 baskets from outside and go back and do what he was just doing which was on his phone. He just told me to train a new employee on how to do things since ima a "hard worker" and "know everything" and he also bragged about how I'm a fast cashier and hard worker and stays doing my job to my former manager from the one that worked on dexter. It just irk my nerves that I got fired and I was the one he called to work over or come in for somebody that didn't show up but that's okay he's gonna get his. He is a liar and very lazy.
