I got DU touristic SIM card when I entered UAE in August. After few days I visited DU store in Marina mall and they told me that I can keep my number permanently, just to convert it to permanent one when I get my ID. In a meanwhile I received the message where they informed me that my number will be disconnected soon. This was the message: "Your free tourist sim is expired now and the line will be disconnected shortly. You can use your remaining balances before disconnection. The mobile number cannot be retained or renewed. Enjoy du services and wish you will connect with du on your next trip to U.A.E". I immedietely chat with DU chat agent and I asked if my number will be disconnected or not. She assured me that the number will stay, only my documents will expire in November. I asked her why did I receive that message? She said that’s general message and that I can ignore it. (I have a screenshot of this conversation and I sent it to Du as a proof) After this phone call I recharge my credit for 199aed(I saved this message). Half an hour later my number was disconnected. I wrote to customer service( I have this mail), went to their stores, talk to their managers and believe it or not they can not do the refund of 199aed in cash. They are blackmailing me to take their number and they will give me a credit of 199aed but no cash. I am not interested to cooperate with such unprofessional company. I just want my money back.
