Eventbrite Unfair Treatment by Eventbrite: Account Locked and Event Deleted Without Warning

Eventbrite locked my account and took down my event without any warning. I was so frustrated because I had put so much effort into organizing the event, and it was all for nothing. When I called them, they sent me an email within 24 hours, which was not very helpful.

The email stated that my account did not comply with their Terms of Service, and that my events would no longer run on Eventbrite. I was shocked because I had no idea what I had done wrong. I read the Terms of Service, but I still couldn't figure out what I had done to violate them.

I run a start-up company that is an online learning center. We are fully registered and legitimate, but we are not yet accepting business. I was using Eventbrite to promote our upcoming event, but now I can't do that anymore.

What really bothers me is that when I log in with my employer's email address, I get VIP treatment. They send the checks super-super fast! But when I log in with my own start-up company's email address, I get thrown out. It feels like discrimination to me.

I think it's unfair that Eventbrite deleted my event without giving me a concrete reason. It feels like they are biased against start-up companies like mine. I also feel like they are bullying me because they didn't give me a chance to fix whatever was wrong with my account.

I didn't bother contacting Eventbrite again because I found another solution. I managed to configure the shopping cart to handle event registration, which is integrated with Moodle LMS and Joomla CMS. It's not as good as Eventbrite, but at least I don't have to worry about them deleting my events without warning.

Eventbrite Eventbrite Support Fails to Issue Refund for Cancelled NLE Choppa Show

So, I bought tickets for the NLE Choppa show on September 12th, and it was supposed to take place on October 18th. But, on the day of the show, I got an email saying that the show was cancelled. They told me to contact the organizer to get my refund issued. I was given a phone number to text my name, and the organizer said that I would receive my refund in a few days. But, a week and a half had passed, and I still hadn't received anything. So, I contacted the organizer again, and he told me that the refunds had already been issued. I was confused because I hadn't received anything, and the ticket was still in my account like I paid for it. But, guess what? They rescheduled the show for December 28th, so they could keep my money. They never issued a refund and said that the show was rescheduled. I was so angry about this because I wanted my money back from the original event that they cancelled.

That's when I decided to contact Eventbrite support. The lady was really nice, but she told me that she noticed the show was rescheduled, and my refund hadn't been issued yet. This made me even more furious because the event organizer had told me weeks ago that the refunds were already issued. Clearly, he was lying, and I had to go through more weeks of run-around BS. It takes them weeks to respond to your emails, even before the holidays. I've been trying to get my money back since October, and it's going on December now.

This entire experience to refund two tickets to a show that these guys scammed the artist performing out of has been an absolute joke. The show was booked at a park, and I was so stupid to even believe that NLE would be performing there by himself, even though this same park had been used for a festival before. I just want my money back, and I hope that Eventbrite can help me get it.

Eventbrite Eventbrite: A Corrupt Company That Doesn't Care About Its Customers

I recently had a terrible experience with Eventbrite. My girlfriend and I were excited to attend the Black Out Gold In Masquerade Gala at the Willis Tower in Chicago. We purchased two tickets through Eventbrite's website, but the night before the event, we received an email saying that the address had been changed to an old building on the west side of the city. We were shocked to find out that this new location was up for sale and definitely not worth the $109 we paid for the tickets.

I tried to contact Eventbrite's customer service using the corporate number provided, but I was disappointed to find out that they don't allow you to speak with anyone. Instead, they provide a web address for you to contact them about any ticket issues. I left numerous messages, but I never received a response from this "$#*!" company. They clearly don't care about their customers.

I decided to call American Express to request a refund, and they initially refunded the cost and opened up a dispute. However, this is where things got even worse. Eventbrite told American Express that they take absolutely no responsibility if the event turns out to be a scam. They don't even provide you with information on how to contact the establishment putting on the event, so you have no way to get in touch with them to try and get a refund.

I am extremely disappointed with Eventbrite's lack of customer service and their unwillingness to take responsibility for the events they sell tickets for. I will be doing everything possible to let the public know about this corrupt company and the risks of purchasing tickets through them. You never know if the event will even happen, and if it doesn't, you'll never be able to get your money back. Don't make the same mistake I did and avoid Eventbrite at all costs.

John

Eventbrite Eventbrite's Poor Customer Service and Lack of Support for Paid Services

I recently used Eventbrite's services for a company event, but was extremely disappointed with the outcome. Despite paying over $5K, I never received an invite. When I reached out to their support email address, I was informed that they no longer check that inbox. Instead, I was directed to their website to fill out a short form to get in touch with the right team. However, I was unable to post my question without a URL address for the invite, which I did not have. This was the entire problem, and I could not report it to receive the invitation for the second time.

After wasting half an hour trying to remedy the situation, I posted my issue on their Facebook page. To my dismay, I received no reply or assistance. In fact, I later discovered that they had blocked me from their page! This is unacceptable behavior from a company that collects thousands of dollars to invite people to events. Instead, they ignore their customers and force them to color between the lines in order to send a question within such restrictions that a question cannot even get sent.

I am extremely disappointed with Eventbrite's services and would not recommend them to anyone. It is clear that they do not value their customers' time or money. I smell a class action lawsuit against these shysters any moment!

Eventbrite Disappointing Experience at Wild N Out Event: A Review of Eventbrite's Services

I recently went to the Wild N Out event at Amazura that I found on Eventbrite. The event was supposed to start at 9:30pm and end at 11:30pm, but unfortunately, it did not go as planned. I, along with many others, waited in line for over 2 hours just to get inside. It was frustrating, but I understood that it was not the fault of the patrons. When I asked a security guard about the delay, he mentioned that the VIP meet and greet was still going on. There was no other information given to us, which made the wait even more confusing.

The staff seemed to be very upset themselves, and at some point, two bouncers had to be separated from each other as they were about to get into an altercation. My friend and I were very confused at this point and figured that the show itself would just begin late. However, when we finally entered the arena at 11:45pm, the show had already begun and seemed to be coming to a conclusion. The mezzanine seating that we had paid $64.29 for was not available, and the staff angrily shouted out that there were no more seats. My friend managed to find a seat on the other side of the room, but I had to unfold a chair near the bathroom to sit.

The comedians were on the stage, but it was hard to hear what was being said due to the fact that people were still trying to find seating. At some point, people began to stand on their chairs to see the stage, which completely blocked the little view that I had. Shortly after, the lights came on, and the event concluded. I was disappointed that I did not receive any of the services that I paid for, and I am asking for my money back.

I have used Eventbrite many times before in the past and have never had this issue. I understand that this event was listed as no refunds, but this was not acceptable. The event was very disorganized, and I hope that Eventbrite can take steps to prevent this from happening in the future.

Eventbrite Beware of "Wealth Wisdom Seed & Harvest" Scam Event: A Review

I was searching for an event to plan for my meetup group and stumbled upon a "Wealth Wisdom Seed & Harvest" event that's being held at a nearby church. The church claims to teach "financial literacy," but I have my doubts. Many people fall victim to scams, believing that if they "plant a seed," it will come back to them in the form of wealth. Unfortunately, this "seed" is often the hard-earned money of the congregants, and they keep giving more and more of their money. Yes, sometimes a seed refers to a good deed, but not in this case. They are clearly referring to "economics" if you click on the link. They take quotes about "prosperity" from the Bible and twist them for their own financial gain. It's important to watch out for your susceptible family members, especially the elderly or disabled, who could be taken advantage of.

I highly recommend checking out John Oliver's comedic, yet deadly serious look into these so-called "prosperity gospel" charlatans. He's a satirist, but within satire contains the "seed" of truth. He exposes a scam that people cannot afford to ignore. I reported this event to EventBrite as fraudulent, and they said they'd review it. However, I checked and it was still listed, so I reported it again, and this time, I also told the Jacksonville Police Department. The people of this town come to a church to pray, not to be preyed upon. They are still recovering from Hurricane Florence, and it's abominable to me that EventBrite would allow a charlatan like this to advertise an event that's going to bilk these trusting people out of their money. So far, the event is still listed as active. It's my hope that if you click on the link, EventBrite will have had the decency to make it inactive.

Eventbrite Disappointing Experience at Nick Cannon Wild 'n Out Show in NYC Arena through Eventbrite

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with the Nick Cannon Wild 'n Out 9:30pm show at NYC Arena that I went to through Eventbrite. It was a complete mess, and I'm not sure who's to blame - the venue or the event promoters. Either way, the 9:30pm show was a disaster. Doors were supposed to open at 9, but we didn't start moving until 11pm! That's two whole hours of waiting around with no explanation or communication from anyone. By the time we finally got inside, the show was already in progress and we were told there weren't any seats left together. We paid extra for mezzanine seating, but there was no designated area for it and we were scattered throughout the arena with people who paid less. What was the point of paying more if we didn't get any benefit from it?

I've used Eventbrite many times before and never had an issue like this. I know the event was listed as no refunds, but this was unacceptable. I wasted so much time waiting outside and didn't even get to enjoy the show properly. I think some kind of compensation for the tickets would be fair, since I didn't get any benefit from them. If anyone knows who I can reach out to about this, please let me know. Thanks.

Eventbrite Eventbrite Review: Frustrating Experience with Valentine's Day Gift Purchase

I recently purchased a Valentine's Day gift for my wife, which was a soap opera event at the Orlando Hilton on February 10th for a show on the 11th. I was excited to surprise her with this gift, but unfortunately, my experience with Eventbrite was not a pleasant one.

Firstly, when I went to purchase the ticket, there was only one option available on the screen, which was strange. I quickly purchased the ticket for $138 and received it promptly. However, to my surprise, the ticket was for a show that was 6 weeks later and 3000 miles away from where I live. I immediately tried calling Eventbrite, but there was no answer. I then went to their website, where it instructed me to respond with my card information and venue for a refund, but the email bounced back. I continued to call Eventbrite, but no one answered, and their phones were answered by a recording telling me that they do not answer the phone.

I was sent the wrong ticket, and when I called the Hilton in Orlando, the event coordinator did not return my call. I called the Hilton again on Sunday morning, asking them to contact the event organizers to see if my wife could still use the ticket. The representative put me on hold, then told me to go to the website for a refund, where it said no refund, and then hung up on me. My wife of 32 years was very disappointed, and I was furious.

Finally, the show started at noon on Sunday, and the link with the event organizer opened. I had a name and a company late the night before, so I called my bank and disputed the charge. I also called the company that I will not mention and left my name and number. I called the FTC and filed a formal complaint for fraud. I sent the event organizer an email with all the information, and lo and behold, Monday morning, I received a call and an immediate refund.

To their credit, Eventbrite is a 5-star company that uses their software for many years with no problems. However, they did not pass on information, nor did they contact the event organizers, but they put all the blame squarely on them. It's frustrating that there were tickets available, and my wife could have gone, but Eventbrite took it upon themselves to do nothing.

I had used this site to advise the event organizers of the guy in British Columbia that night New Year's Eve tix for there but got tix for Washington DC. Don't give up, don't wait months, take action, and you do have recourse. Your bank card, the FTC, your state's attorney general's office, and consumer affairs. Make a formal complaint and fight back. They may not talk on the phone, but they will respond to the FTC or state. Make the politicians work for us.

In conclusion, it was a long story, but in the end, Eventbrite refunded my money immediately. They can do it, and we need to hold them accountable.

Eventbrite Pub Crawl Disaster: A Review and a Better Alternative - 'A Nightmare on Main Street'

Me and a bunch of other folks signed up for the Pub Crawl event on Eventbrite, but we had a lot of issues. First off, we didn't get a signature cup like we were promised. Instead, we got a cheap plastic cup from the Dollar Store that was worth maybe 10 cents. And the first bar only gave us one free drink, and it had to be well liquor. The second and third bars didn't even know we were coming, and they didn't offer any free drinks or specials. There was no passport to complete, no swag bags, and no prizes for the first 100 people to finish the crawl. And worst of all, the organizer just disappeared after the second bar! We paid $20-40 each for this mess.

But now there's a new event coming up that sounds way better. It's called "A Nightmare on Main Street", and it's a Halloween-themed bar crawl in Missoula. Instead of everyone moving together in one big group, you can crawl at your own pace. You'll get a signature cup, a welcome drink at registration, and drink specials at lots of different bars. Plus, there will be an after party at the end! The participating bars haven't been announced yet, but they'll be listed in October. Tickets start at $20, but they'll go up as the event gets closer, so get them soon. Just remember to drink responsibly and arrange for a designated driver or a ride share service.

Eventbrite Eventbrite Review: Be Careful with Advanced Payouts and Payment Dates

I gotta say, I was pretty stoked when I found out about Eventbrite. As someone who's trying to put together a small event, it seemed like the perfect platform. And for the most part, it was pretty easy to use and connect with my website.

But then things started to go south. About three weeks before my event, I got a message on their website saying that I'd been accepted for the advanced payout feature. It said that if I didn't want it, I should contact them. So I figured, hey, why not? I'll take the early payout. But when the day came and went and I still hadn't gotten my money, I called them up to ask what was going on.

Turns out, I was supposed to have called them to confirm that I wanted the advanced payout. Which was weird, because I had seen on their website that I should only contact them if I didn't want it. But okay, I called them and they said I'd be getting an email with more details and that the next payout would be on the 30th.

Fast forward to my event, which was held on the 29th and 30th. I had allocated all my funds to staff, marketing, food, and facilities, assuming that I'd be getting paid on the 30th. But when that day came and went and I still hadn't gotten my money, I called them up again. This time, the person who answered told me that payouts were on the 15th and the 1st. Which was not what the first person had told me.

Long story short, I ended up with no money two days before the 4th of July weekend, and I owed five different people money for working the event. The person on the phone told me that I couldn't get the advanced payout feature on the 1st because my event had already happened. So I was pretty much screwed.

My advice? Make sure you get something in writing confirming when you'll be getting paid. Don't assume anything, because apparently Eventbrite can't keep their story straight.

Eventbrite Held an event, and eventbrite locked me out of my account

Good Day! I held an event this past Wednesday, 2/7/2024. I was holding a quick meeting for some of my teammates for an overview of a career in the life and health industry. I read, followed directions... and invited the agents to my event. They paid $50 per ticket and attended. Eventbrite said they will hold 20% of the $150.00, to offset any refunds... but after taxes, they will send me the first part of $120.00, then balance of the total funds will come later next week.

All of sudden on Thursday, the next day, I couldn't sign in or even reset the password. They said I was suspended. And if I want assistance, I have to log in to chat with them. There is no phone number, no email... and Eventbrite have taken all of my ticket money. Not even an email of explanation or warning that I was doing something wrong. It was a simple process... So I cannot even imagine what the problem was.

Claimed loss: $150.00

Desired outcome: I want my money and an explanation of what happened? And an apology!!!Someone to call me at least....email: [protected]@gmail.comphone: [protected]

Eventbrite Vesna zmijanac live in london 28th october

I purchased tickets for the above named concert on 9th February 2023. The event was scheduled for 28th October, 2023 at the Dominion Centre, N22 6DS.

We arrived at the Dominion Centre and was told by another attendee, that they had been told by a church warden (who lived adjacent to the venue) that the event had been moved to the Diamond Arena, The Rock Tower, N7 0PS. There was no one there in an OFFICIAL CAPACITY.

This was a journey of 30 minutes from the original venue. Upon arrival at The Rock Tower, we were informed that the event has taken place the night before!

I received no previous notification, by either email, text or phone call.

Therefore both my time and money was wasted, I travelled by cab from Slough.

I presume that my complaint will be handled in an efficient and professional manner. This being the case, I look forward to a FULL REFUND in a timely fashion ie. 14 days.

You may refund to the debit card that was originally used to purchase the tickets.

Claimed loss: 5 tickets @ £67.42 Total claimed £337.10

Desired outcome: Full refund of tickets

Eventbrite Refund of a debit card

A customer purchased one of our courses using a debit card and the event was subsequently cancelled. I need to refund them, but Eventbrite want to take fees for this. If the client had paid with a credit card, there would not be an issue. The refund would go through without any issue. I have tried on a number of occasions to talk to someone about this, but they refuse to call me. Will email me, but there is no 'reply' option on email, so cannot get the issue sorted.

Eventbrite Eventbrite's Lack of Customer Service and Refund Policy is Unacceptable

I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Eventbrite. I booked this event called Design for Living 2 back in April of last year, and it was supposed to go down on November 6th and 7th. But then, in October, I got the news that the whole thing was canceled. No biggie, I thought, I'll just wait for my refund to come through.

But it never did. I checked my bank statements and everything, and there was no sign of the transaction. I figured maybe it was because I'd canceled the card I used to make the purchase, but even when I reached out to Eventbrite in November, I got nowhere. They just kept sending me back to the event organizer, who was no help at all.

Honestly, it's pretty frustrating. I get that things can go wrong, but the fact that Eventbrite couldn't even give me a straight answer or help me out in any way is pretty unacceptable. And the worst part is, they don't seem to care. It's like they're so rich and powerful that they don't even need to bother with customer service anymore.

Well, I'm not gonna stand for it. I vote with my wallet, and I can tell you right now that Eventbrite won't be getting any more of my money. If you're thinking about using them for your next event, I'd think twice. There are plenty of other options out there that actually care about their customers.

Eventbrite Understanding Eventbrite: A Review of the Ticketing Platform

I gotta say, after reading all these comments, some of y'all don't seem to understand what Event Brite is all about. Let me break it down for ya: Event Brite is just a tool for promoting events. They ain't the ones running the show or collecting the cash. If you're buying tickets through their site, the money goes straight to the event coordinator. And it's up to that coordinator to decide whether or not to charge extra fees or include them in the ticket price. They also get to decide whether or not to offer refunds. Now, I know some of y'all are upset about not getting your money back, but you gotta understand that there are a lot of costs involved in putting on an event. And sometimes, those costs are nonrefundable. So before you go blaming Event Brite for everything, maybe take a minute to think about the other side of things. And if you're really upset, direct your complaints to the event coordinator or the company in charge. Don't go blaming the middleman.

Eventbrite Eventbrite Review: A Platform for Scammers - Beware Before Purchasing Tickets!

Eventbrite, Inc. is a company that I would not recommend to anyone. They do not seem to care about their customers and allow for scams to happen without any consequences. Recently, I purchased tickets for a New Year's Bar Crawl in Boston through Eventbrite. The event promised many things such as four free drinks, access to multiple bars, and a premium showing of the ball drop. I bought two tickets for myself and a friend, but when we arrived at the first bar, we found out that it was a total scam!

To our surprise, there were no drinks, and the staff at the first bar had no idea what we were talking about. They were having their own private function, and we were left feeling embarrassed and confused. We walked to the next few bars, but they too had no idea about the event. We were stuck out in the rain on New Year's Eve with no plans and had lost close to $100 dollars. When I contacted Eventbrite for a refund, they refused to give me my money back because the tickets were nonrefundable. This was a huge disappointment, and I felt like I had been scammed.

Eventbrite is a great platform for scammers because they do not enforce their event hosts to be accountable. It is impossible to get ahold of anyone at Eventbrite, and they just send you in circles. The event host has not responded to any of my friend's requests, and they did not provide any contact information. I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau, and I will not be suggesting anyone to have anything to do with Eventbrite.

In conclusion, Eventbrite is not a reliable platform for purchasing tickets. They do not care about their customers, and they allow for scams to happen without any consequences. I would advise anyone to be cautious when using Eventbrite and to do their research before purchasing tickets for any event.

Eventbrite Beware of Hidden Fees: My Experience with Eventbrite

Hey guys, just wanted to give you a heads up about my experience with Eventbrite. I recently used it to set up a collection for my friend's wedding present and while I thought I had chosen the cheapest package, turns out I was on a middle sized package with higher fees than expected. It took Eventbrite a whole week to reply to my inquiry and by then it was too late to make any changes. I was charged ?153.76 in fees for an event that raised ?1820.--, which is a whopping 8.45%. I was really embarrassed to tell the donors and the newly married couple about the high fee, especially since I thought I had chosen the most basic package. I feel like the set-up process could have been clearer and I was misled by the information available. So, if you're new to Eventbrite, make sure you choose the right package and be aware of the charges. Don't make the same mistake I did!

Eventbrite Disappointing Experience with Eventbrite: Easter Kids Party Cruise Review

I recently used Eventbrite to purchase tickets for the Easter Kids Party Cruise Hosted By The Easter Bunny(Cesar Cabrera Entertainment) on March 31st and April 1st. I bought four tickets for $30 each for my family and I to attend the event on March 31st at 5:45 pm. However, our experience was not what we expected.

We arrived on time at 5:45 pm, but we did not start boarding until 7:00 pm. We were told that we would be boarding at 6 pm, so we were very upset to have to wait on line with two restless toddlers for an hour and 15 minutes. There was no communication regarding the delay, and it was extremely chilly outside. All the parents and their children were complaining about how cold it was and how long it was taking to get on the boat.

When we finally made it on the boat, we quickly learned that there was not enough seating for all the patrons. It was disappointing to see that there were not enough seats for everyone, especially since there was food being offered on the boat. It was difficult to stand for three hours with food and our children.

To make matters worse, the restroom on the boat was filthy. It was not sanitary at all, especially for kids. It was apparent that no one had cleaned it from the prior group of patrons on the boat.

Lastly, due to the location of the marina, there was only one place to park. From 5:40 pm -7:30 pm, I was charged $30 for parking. It was disappointing to spend $150 and not get to take a picture with the Easter bunny, see a magic show, or get face painting. My kids were disappointed, and we were exasperated parents.

Overall, our experience with Eventbrite was not great. We were disappointed with the delay in boarding, the lack of seating on the boat, the filthy restroom, and the expensive parking. We hope that Eventbrite can improve their communication with event organizers to prevent these issues from happening in the future.

Eventbrite Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Eventbrite: My Refund Runaround

I recently had an experience with Eventbrite and unfortunately, it was not a positive one. In this day and age, it's common for companies to have live customer service, but Eventbrite seems to be an exception. When I tried to get a refund that I was owed, I was given the runaround and even hung up on by an automated service. It was frustrating to say the least.

To make matters worse, I couldn't find any status updates on my refund and when I emailed them, I received a generic response that didn't answer my questions. They did offer to help further if I needed it, but when I responded, I never received a reply. It was a disappointing experience and I had to resort to going through my PayPal account to get my refund, which took even longer.

The event I was supposed to attend was on New Year's Eve and it's now January 13th and I'm still trying to get everything sorted out. Eventbrite suggested that I contact the event planner to resolve the issue, but that's not always a viable option. If you're dealing with an individual rather than a company, they may not be as professional or willing to help with a refund.

It would be helpful if Eventbrite had plans in place to protect buyers, similar to PayPal. I have all the emails and texts from the event planner, who seemed to get a bit too personal at times. It's important to remember that this is a business transaction and professionalism should be maintained. It also seemed like the event planner had to refund numerous people and was losing out, which is not my problem. Perhaps they should consider going back to their day job if this isn't their meal ticket.

Overall, I was disappointed with the lack of customer service from Eventbrite. As a buyer, I expect to be treated fairly and have my concerns addressed in a timely manner. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case with this experience.

Eventbrite Beware of Eventbrite: Fraudulent Charges on Credit Card

I gotta say, I'm pretty upset with Eventbrite. Like, if there was a zero rating, I'd give it to them. And I can't even complain directly to them because their email form is so intrusive, asking for all kinds of personal details that I'm not comfortable sharing online. And my credit card company won't do anything about it either, because apparently it's not their job to investigate fraudulent companies.

So here's the deal: Eventbrite is supposed to collect entrance fees for events on behalf of all kinds of businesses, like restaurants and venues and stuff. But twice now, they've made fraudulent charges on my credit card. The first time was two years ago, when they charged me for two events that I didn't even go to. My credit card company looked into it and removed the charges from my account.

But now it's happened again. More than a month after I made a legitimate purchase for an event, Eventbrite charged me for something called "... ACT. Dallas." And I'm pretty sure it's them, because all the other charges on my card are from places I actually go to, and I haven't had any other fraudulent activity.

So yeah, if you're thinking about using Eventbrite, be careful. Check your credit card statements carefully for a while after you make a purchase, because you might end up getting scammed like I did.

Eventbrite Eventbrite Review: Overbooked NYE Event, No Refund, Poor Customer Support

I recently had an experience with Eventbrite that I feel compelled to share. It was for a New Year's Eve event in January 2018, and my group had purchased 8 tickets for after 12:30 admission to the penthouse on Hotel Rivington. We spent around $600 total on these tickets, and we were excited to attend the event. However, when we arrived at the door, we were turned away by a bouncer who informed us that the event had been overbooked and that no one else was allowed in. This was a huge disappointment, as we had paid for a specific experience and were not given what we had paid for.

To make matters worse, we have been struggling to obtain a refund for our tickets. We have contacted Eventbrite directly, as well as the hotel and our credit card company, but we have not had any luck. Eventbrite even claimed that someone from their company was at the door and that people were being let in, which is simply not true. The hotel has not been helpful either, despite the fact that they should be responsible for ensuring that events at their venue are properly managed and not overbooked.

We have spoken to other customers who attended the event and found out that many people were turned away as early as 11PM, which is unacceptable. We believe that we are entitled to a full refund, as we were not able to enter the event that we had paid for. Our tickets are still unscannable, and we even have Uber receipts to prove that we were at the venue. This whole situation feels like a scam and is incredibly unprofessional.

Overall, I would not recommend using Eventbrite for purchasing tickets to events. While I understand that overbooking can happen, it is unacceptable for customers to be turned away from an event that they have paid for. Additionally, the lack of support from both Eventbrite and the hotel has been frustrating and disappointing. I hope that others can learn from our experience and avoid similar situations in the future.

Eventbrite Frustrating Experience with Eventbrite Customer Support: Unable to Edit Event and Account Blocked

Hey there, I gotta say, I've been trying to get in touch with someone from Eventbrite for a few days now and it's been a real struggle. We've been trying to edit our event since Saturday, 6/17/17, but it seems like our account has been blocked for some reason. We have no idea why this is happening and it's been really frustrating because we've only gotten one response from Customer Support and they didn't really understand what we were asking for. It's like, come on, guys, we just want to edit our event! We finally found a phone number and talked to someone named Chelsie in Sales yesterday, 6/19/17, but we still haven't heard anything back. It's been a total nightmare and it's not the kind of customer support we were expecting from Eventbrite. We've used the platform before and never had any issues, so this is really confusing.

To make matters worse, we got a message saying we don't have any debit or credit cards saved, which is totally incorrect. We included that information when we set up our account for the event. And we even got an email saying our event was published live, but now we can't find it anywhere. It's like our account has just disappeared into thin air.

Honestly, we're just looking for some help here. We're not trying to cause any trouble, we just want to edit our event and make sure everything is good to go. So if someone from Eventbrite could please get back to us ASAP, that would be amazing. Thanks.

Eventbrite Tickets

Uk Strongest Man Final 29th May 2023
3 Attended cost us £358
Inadequate organisation caused us to kiss last 2 events and presentation
Said men’s event was 1-5 with trophies at 5.15
Arrived at 12.50 women’s event was still ongoing
Didn’t finish until 2.20pm
So instead of mens starting at 1pm it started at gone 2.30pm
There was so much faffing around between events it was unbelievable!
At one point they started dril lol Ng9 the floorboards it took ages
Everything was so far behind schedule it was ridiculous!
We had the car park ticket until 6pm which was very adequate to say it finished at 5pm
Unfortunately at 5.50 when we had to go to avoid a parking fine they were still on the penultimate event
Which meant we Missed it AND the last and best event AND the trophies
So it was pointless really attending and we are seeking at least a 50% refund if not more
I have contacted Eventbrite with no success
I have tried to resolve through PayPal but it is out of their 180 day limit for disputes as we bought the tickets in Oct for Xmas presents
Wd feel totally let down by Eventbrite who, incidentally, have 92% 1 star rating with Trustpilot
I only wish I’d looked into them before spending all that money.

Desired outcome: As above At least, if not more, 50% refund

Eventbrite Email

Hello:

I usually look forward to receiving emails from Eventbrite but today I was very troubled by the use of the acronym in the subject line of the email.

The subject line read "Feeling stuck in a rut? Time to GTFO" Received on May 2, 2023.

I’m surprised this would be used in a professional setting.

I want to express my concern and hope future correspondence will be free from offensive acronyms.

Thank you,

Faye St. Pierre

Eventbrite Worldwide Mansion Dog Show & Pool Party

Promoter: Javier Rodriguez

Scheduled an event in Florida entitled Worldwide Mansion Dog Show & Pool Party. My order #[protected] I purchased two tickets for $205.00 on Aug 30, 2022. I went to the event today, Friday, October 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (EDT) as scheduled and there was NO event the promoter identified the location on two cross streets. I have requested a refund to NO AVAIL. This was a SCAM. DO NOT support any events from Javier Rodriguez in Florida.

I utilize eventbrite on many occassions and have never been subject to a scam and have found it to be a reputable platform for tickets. I'm very disappointed with this transaction.

Desired outcome: A full ticket refund amount.
