I had to change the name of my partner paula collins into her maiden name paula barbosa as per passport for flight to rome (alitalia az201) on may 28 and return to london (ba 555)

This is a procedure requiring passport / marriage certificate, and all the info were given to expedia to contact the two airlines for the change.

Alitalia was a nightmare.
I did explain to the expedia technical that was a delicate matter, a marriage in rome.
Expedia technical support was a nightmare.
The accountable persons (technical support) were: assad, sindhu, faizal (manager).
I received partial and misleading info, even a suggestion "to let my partner going to the airport with passport and copy of the marriage certificate".

I had to be on call for 2h, the conclusion was I had to pay for the full ticket £239, as allegedly alitalia refused to perform the change of the surname (check all the - hopefully recorded conversation)
I contacted directly aliatalia uk claim service (melania) and I received a completely a different story. The technical support (faizal was managing this) did not let alitalia to change the name, but I had to purchase a new ticket full price.
To my frustration the expedia customer support offered me £30 voucher!

I purchased an airline ticket from Expedia for Air Malta airlines one way to Rome Italy. I received a confirmation from Expedia stating all confirmed no need to call or reconfirm. I tried to find my reservation on the Air Malta website and the 6 character confirmation code generated by Expedia is not valid and therefore no booking showing up on Air Malta for my flight. I called Expedia 3 times to sort this out, twice was disconnected as they were supposedly trying to contact the airline. Once they connected me to what was supposed to the an airline Rep but it was not the correct department after holding on the call for almost 45 minutes. Now Expedia trying to synch my reservation with the airline but Expedia having same issue as I experience and no one at Expedia can figure out the problem. I asked for a refund if nothing can be corrected and got no results. Now they are trying to contact the airline again with a ticket number which is not searchable on AirMalta website. I have to wait and hope for a call back from Expedia in 48 hours. This is very poor customer service.

We booked flights to Hawaii through Expedia back in Oct/18. Flights were scheduled for Apr 13-21/19. On Apr.5/19 (one week prior to our trip), I called Air Canada to confirm and check on seat assignment. They informed me that our flights had been cancelled on Mar.25/19 and that I should've been notified by Expedia. We were not notified (nothing in my spam either) and no new flights had been arranged. I immediately called Expedia and between me and my husband we spend the next 5 hours on the phone with Expedia while they tried to get us new flights. They would find us something and then put us on hold for ages (up to 45 min) to confirm with AC. They'd come back on the line to say that "those flights are no longer available". It went on and on like this for hours. We felt desperate because we had accommodation booked in Hawaii and time booked off work. Eventually we asked for a refund because we could tell we weren't getting anywhere and we needed to find something ourselves. We ended up getting flights booked through Alaska Air but they were substantially more money. Our original cost through Expedia was $1354.78 CAD and our new flights are costing us $1813.58 USD. We understand that it is not Expedia's fault that our flights were cancelled but it is their fault that we were not notified immediately. This would've given us another 10 days to try and find new flights through Expedia and save us the cost of new flights through Alaska. We are hoping for some sort of compensation towards the cost of these new flights. Thank you for your time.

The above ticket numbers were associated with the travel dates of December 20, 2018 through January 19, 2019.

Although I booked the tickets six months in advance, I received the following email communications from Expedia informing me of changes to our flights which resulted in hours of telephone hold time/conversation:

• August 23, 2018 - "CHINA EASTERN AIRLINES has made a schedule change to
your upcoming trip, and your original flight option is no longer available."
• August 31, 2018 - "CHINA EASTERN AIRLINES made an involuntary schedule
change that affects your upcoming trip [protected] on 20DEC to CEBU
MACTAN INTL, PHILIPPINES, and your original flight is no longer operating."
• November 9, 2018 - "China Eastern Airlines notified us that, unfortunately, they
are unable to confirm your requested seat assignment(s). If you have reserved a
paid seat, please contact the airline to confirm."
• November 19, 2018 - "We have received notice from China Eastern Airlines that
they have made changes to your flights."
• November 23, 2018 - "Delta has made the following change(s) to your itinerary:"
• December 14, 2018 - "China Eastern Airlines made the following change(s) to
your itinerary: Changed the arrival time for 1 of your flights."

The above changes were very stressful when trying to plan and secure time off from work given the fact that advance notice is always required. None the less, I accepted all of the above changes.

On December 20, 2019, we arrived at Orlando (MCO) and checked in at Delta's ticket counter, while providing all travel documents in hand (Passports, Visas (Michelle and Leonora) US Driver Licenses/photo IDs. Following an hour of Delta searching for our tickets in their systems, they were located, and our ticket vouchers for departing Orlando and our connecting flight (New York (JFK) to Shanghai (PVG) were printed and we started our journey to Cebu, Philippines.

We arrived in New York (JFK) as scheduled and after several hours of waiting, China Eastern Airlines ticket counter opened. We handed over our flight vouchers and supporting travel documents and our nightmare began. China Eastern Airlines informed us that Michelle Lumasag Stewart's name on the ticket voucher did not match the name on her Passport. We were informed that the Orlando airport had failed to identify this booking error, resulting in non-editable tickets. Through further research, all parities learned that Michelle's Visa and Driver License identifies her as Michelle Lumasag Stewart; however, her Passport identifies her as Michelle Aya-ay Stewart. Both Delta and China Eastern Airline advised that nothing could be done because the Orlando airport locked in Michelle's name incorrectly at departure; I find this hard to believe given the computer technology we have today.

Although Delta and China Eastern Airlines work together, neither would resolve this issue, which resulted in Michelle being stranded in New York days before Christmas. In light of the circumstances, Michelle was forced to purchase a last minute round trip flight costing her over $4, 000.00. In addition to the above, Michelle was forced to send her three year old son and 73 year old mother on a flight to Cebu, Philippines without her; very traumatic for all.

Please review your records with Delta to verify the comments stated within and do what is right for your valued customers. At the very least, we expect reimbursement for tickets [protected] and [protected]; a total of $1, 145.11. We also expect some compensation for the cost to purchase the last minute round-trip flight from New York to Cebu, Philippines.

I have tried calling Expedia customer care number several times and it does not connect to any agents and I spent more than 40 Dirham's on calls but IVR keeps repeating of agents are busy, I have sent several emails, your team does not replies.

Already jet airways has cancelled the flight and agreed for full refund. Their email is attached. So stop further delay and refund the amount to me immediately.

I booked a hotel via Expedia for three nights (22.3.-25.3.2019) in Iceland, due to the harsh weather conditions (40m/s storm and snowstorm) I was not able to get to the hotel because the streets were closed. After fighting for 2 hours on the phone (which will probably cost more than the refund) with Expedia and them telling me the hotel owner does not agree on a cancellation I got one of the "managers" to give me the refund for one night and a coupon. I never received the coupon and cannot reach Expedia about this issue. The coupon was just a lie and empty promise! Expedia did not provide any support and basically asked me to risk my life over a hotel booking.

I have made a reservation for the hotel 'Nightcap at Waltzing Matilda Hotel' from March the 23rd until April the 5th, 2019.

This reservation is for one of our coworkers going to Australia for business.

We are a company located in Luxembourg, Europe.

The hotel refused direct booking and asked me to process it via Expedia.ca.
This reservation is [protected]. The hotel is far too loud and my coworker couldn't sleep. He couldn't cancel the reservation directly as it was booked via Expedia, which he didn't manage to reach by phone. He staid there one night and left for another hotel on March the 24th, 2019.
I only managed to contact them today, March the 25th, 2019.
Grace, of the contact of Expedia, told me refund would start from March the 25th, the day of complaint.
This is not justified! If a Customer needs to leave the hotel because of the noise, he should not pay at all, and certainly not for a night that he didn't stay.
We regularly send corworkers to Australia and will take the necessary steps to make sure that never again Expedia.ca will be used for booking, and never again Hotel Matilda will be booked.
We are highly disappointed by this way of working.

I tried to cancel my flights through the email confirmation from Expedia as I was not allowed to board Flynas from Saudi Arabia due to visa problem from Cairo (VOA not allowed). The reply was that Expedia had a technical glitch and could not cancel flight and that I should try later or call 1-800-280-7112 and to have itinerary number. However I couldnt reach the number and expedia is giving me the same automated reply that they are having technical glitch over and over again.

I purchased tickets to Knotts Berry Farm for 3/18/19 on January 14th, 2019. I got an email confirming the tickets from expedia within 3 minutes, but the email had 1/15/19 date to use the tickets (I apparently did not get the 3/18/19 date updated). I proceeded to contact expedia immediately on Jan. 14th & explained how I wanted 3/18 dates hopefully to get the tickets corrected or potentially a refund so I can get new tickets with the corrected dates. It has been 6 weeks & I have not received an answer from expedia about this issue. How hard is it to change the dates for tickets or refund it so I can buy new ones - especially since I am paying $235.00.

With all due respect, I am writing this note to inform you about the services of airlines I got while booking through Expedia. I booked 2ways ticket Doha-LHR-JFK, on 18 Feb 2019, I had a flight Doha-London - JFK and it arrived on time. However, when I came outside to receive my luggage at JFK airport it was nowhere to be found. I went to the reception so that they could help me out and they asked me to wait patiently. I waited for some time but my luggage did not arrive. I was told that it has been left in Heathrow airport and I had to wait till next day to receive it.
I have shockingly experienced the same delay on 23rd February while landing in Doha back from JFK on flight BA 7010 - operated by Qatar airways.
That is very disappointing comparing to the high standard services expected to be offered to a business class passenger.
I am very displeased with this occurrence; Starting a business trip and attending business meetings with no luggage is not pleasant and affected myself as on personal and professional level.in parallel, you may please consider this serious incident as it is indeed strongly reflecting on you image. I made my reservation for a hotel in Jeddah for one night to chech in by 10th Feb 2019 then the hotel declined expedia booking because no contract is active between the two parties. I paid twice, expedia deduction from my VISA and Cash to the hotel. When I raised a complain to expedia, I found very poor customer service who didn't help me until now

I booked a plane ticket from Toronto to Punta Cana for Feb 14-18, 2019 for my son's girlfriend through Expedia. Let me add, I have used Expedia for almost every vacation that my family and I have booked for the last nine years and have been impressed with the ease and guarantee of no conflicts for any of the trips.

The flight was on Air Transat. (Expedia Itinerary number [protected]). The two broke up and a friend of his was willing to fill the seat as it was already paid for.
I contacted Expedia on Monday February 4th, 2019 and asked to do this and that I was willing to pay a administration fee for the inconvenience. I was advised by Expedia that it was against their policy to change names. I was advised that it could only be done through the airline.

When I called the airline, they advised that since I was a third party, as I had booked through Expedia (my travel agent), that only they were allowed to ask for the name change. They provided me instructions that Expedia simply had to call the GDS Department and insist on an exemption and the name change could occur. I called back and spoke to a front-line worker and explained what I had learned. He passed me on to his supervisor who placed me on hold and made the call. When he returned, he advised that Air Transat said they would not do it. I asked if he had asked to speak to the GDS Department, and he advised he had not. I asked him to please call back and speak to the department that I was directed to. After placing me on hold, he came back minutes later and advised that Air Transat customer service was now closed. He advised that he would follow up and would contact me within 72 hrs (Thursday Feb 7, 2018 at 8:30pm).

After 84 hrs of waiting for a return call, I called Expedia again and explained my situation and asked that they call the GDS Department. When the customer service clerk came back onto the phone, she advised that she was unable to fulfill my request.

Although I had advised Expedia that I was willing to swear out an affidavit to a Justice of the Peace that this change of names was not untoward, I was unable to change a name of a seat, 10 days before the flight. A seat, that I had purchased and was not going to be filled. Although Expedia continued to quote it was their policy, there has to be some exemptions for this, especially when the airline advised me that it could be done. This was poor customer service.

In Ontario, we have the buyer's remorse law, should this not be applied for airline tickets as well? I am seeking reimbursement or a credit from Expedia for a request for a service that was unfulfilled.

I booked 7 rooms on Feb 8-10, 2019 at QT Queenstown through Expedia in May, 2018. Booking is confirmed and full payment has been paid.

However I've received the following message from QT on Feb 1, 2019, due to a technical system error, they are in an overbooking situation that does affect my reservation. We need to move to another hotel for 1 night.

We just booked a flight from Malaga to Athens with a stop in Paris. For peace of mind, we paid an extra 300$ on 500$ for a total of 800$, to select our seat. Once we paid, there was no way to select the seat. We then called Expedia to be told that for the seat selection, we need to call the airline. Nothing was mentioned on the website when we booked the flight. After discussing with the Expedia Clerk for 46 minutes, with his coaching, we were able to select the seats for one stretch but not for the other. He then explained that Expedia is not responsible, that the airline are. He suggested that I call the other airline to book my seats 48 hours before the flight. The clerk said he did his best, but Expedia did not. It is unacceptable that they sell preselected seat with extra payment, and yet do not allow selection on the website. Furthermore, I had to pay 46 minutes of cellphone call to get only half of the job done. And we now have to pay another call to select the seat I paid for on Expedia.

It is not the first time I have a problem with Expedia. The clerk always does its best, but Expedia does not. Your company is not customer service conscious, makes you pay but does not deliver the service

I should be reimbursed for the extra for seats and I should be able to get my seat allocation. Also, if you cannot precook seats, than you should not offer it.

The flight was delayed and arrived late, as a result of the delay we missed our connection flight KL14401 CAN-SYD.
As a result of the delay, we lost a full night and morning of our trip.
We also experienced wrong information and wasted time waiting in a VISA queue when we could have stayed in the business class lounge and waited. We were taken to a hotel to wait 6 hours and in the room, we were provided had used condoms around the bed area. We asked to return to the airport and were told the shuttle will pick up in 6 hours!

We paid $11, 522.44 and booked with yourself. I don't understand why there was not enough time left between flights to allow us to get to our next boarding.

I am seeking compensation in the amount of $4000 due to the loss of night and day and the horrific experience we were made to endure.

Every time I find a package price on the Expedia website, it's much higher when I go to check out. It gives you some message "Our apologies, but the prices have just updated". The prices should always be updated. Deceptive pricing! I researched packaged deals for 4 adults for Cancun for July and December 2019, I let all involved know how much it will be and then at check out it's close to 200 more per person per trip. That's not an updating issue, that's a price set to get our attention when that was never going to be the price ever. I booked a recent vacation for a November trip and the same thing happened, but I fell for it. The recent trip was awesome, but I use a travel site to have access to details and to make planning easy. I can't go to check out every time to see the "real" price. If the website pricing is not accurate, then it should read "estimated price per person per trip"

I booked a room through Expedia for my convention in Las Vegas June 17-22 2019! Now the price I was given has increased by $50+ a night and a third party wants $500+ up front!
No where when I booked this room was it stated that there was a third party. They refuse to except the amount Expedia quoted me!
And to add to the confusion the Hotel is booked for the dates that I need to be there. To add to this mess I'm in a wheelchair so it is of the up most importance that I be located as close to my convention venue!
I have never in the pass 12 years of working with Expedia have I ever has such stress and confusion with a booking company!

On Nov 10 I made a reservation thru Expedia. I found out from another hotel Expedia doesn't get reservations made in a timely manner so when I arrived at the hotel at 10 pm that night, with my reservation, Expedia had cancelled it. Probably more truthfully it never went through. So Visa is charging me because Expedia says they were willing to provide the service. That is not true. I will never use Expedia again!

I booked a flight this morning from Saudi Arabia to Poland. My total amount at checkout was $533 INCLUDING the $35 flight protection plan. Two payments went off of my account, $533 and an ADDITIONAL $36. I tried phoning customer services but she couldn't give me a straight answer. She kept on telling me to phone my bank and the changed her story and said that Expedia charged me $36 for using a debit visa card and not a credit card. THIS WAS NOT STATED ANYWHERE DURING CHECKOUT. I want an explanation and a detailed quote.

I would like to file a complaint against SIXT Car Rental. I had a reservation through Expedia [protected]) for the amount of 530.80 dollars. You deducted the amount of 88 dollars from me to confirm the reservation at Munich Airport. But when I arrived to the counter at 2 pm on 4-1-2019 the employee refused to give me the car claiming that I was one hour late for the pick-up time. Needless to mention, I was late due to procedures at the customs authorities. He said that if I want to pick up the car I would have to pay extra, and claimed that SIXT didn't get any money from Expedia (meaning the 88 dollars). And he increased the rent price from 76 dollars to 172 euros per day. And I also have to pay 1500 euros as a security deposit. This is against your policy which is 400 euros. This employee extorted me as I was in a situation where I needed a rental car because of my family. So I had to pay 1198 euros for 7 days without even him considering the 88 dollars I paid Expedia. Thus, I hold Expedia responsible as it is your duty to protect your customers, and I demand:

1- Return the 88 dollars I paid to Expedia.

2- Stick to the original deal and charge me only 530 dollars for the reservation 9869307956 and return the rest after returning the car.

3- Reparation for the damages due to the inappropriate extortion by your employee and making me wait at the counter for more than 2 hours.
