In January I booked a stay for Mandalay Bay in Las Vagas for November 17th, 18th, and 19th. I was charged 1,100.00 per night for a room with two queen beds. When checking in I asked the attendant at the resort how much would the room charge be if I booked directly through Mandalay Bay, 455.00 a night. I responded we were charged 1,100.00 a night that I prepaid. Can anything be done? He asked how did you book? I said Expedia. He said he is powerless to do anything because I did not book directly with the resort, it has to come from Expedia. So, the room I paid 3,300.00 for should only have been 1,365.00. I contacted Expedia and they said that was the charge back in January, even though at the time of service it was 455.00 they will not issue a credit. Talk about really putting to the consumer, and you call this is good customer service, I think not. The real shame of it is this is my first experience with any booking sight. They stuck it to me an extra 1935.00. Live and learn, but this really hurt, and the shame of it is they do not care as they laugh all the way to the bank.
Claimed loss: 1,935.00
Desired outcome: Credit my card back 1,935.00
