I had rented a car from Expedia in January of 2023. The car was to be picked up at the Edinburgh airport and use for Sept. 9 to Sept. 28. It was to be drop back at the airport before 8:30am on Sept. 28 2023

When I rented the car from Expedia it was my understand that I would pay for the rental upfront using my credit card. This would cover the entire cost for the rental etc.
Expedia also asked me if I would like to purchase car insurance just in case anything happen with the rental car during my trip in Scotland. So I purchased the extra insurance.
When I returned the car, it was noticed that there was a tiny piece of rubber missing from the left front tire.
The person that was doing the inspection of the car told me that I would be reimbursed via my insurance.
He then sent me a copy of the final of the receipt for the car rental via email. When I checked it later on I notice extra charges.See below:
Rental Charges* £ 628.75
Location Surcharge* £ 144.41
Vehicle License Fee* £ 36.67
Optional Services* £ 93.30
___________
Taxable £ 936.13
VAT (20.0%) (on items marked*) £ 187.22
___________
Total Charges £ 1,330.63
Prepayment £ -946.49
___________
Amount Due £ 384.14
It was my understanding that I had paid for the entire car rental in January. I was shocked to see the extra charges location surcharge, vehicle license, and optional services.
I have used Expedia for a long time for car rentals hotels etc. and never have had a problem. But these extra charges came as a great surprise to me since I had already paid for the car rental in January of 2021.
I am hoping that this matter can be resolved in a timely matter.
Thank you
