On November 26 I needed to book a package with Expedia for flight and hotel to Dallas TX from Pittsburgh. I was going to go through Priceline but I have always used Expedia's app and thought this would be better since I have used it many times before. I to cancel my trip due to unforseen circumstances and learned that Expedia had sold me an untransferable ticket with American Airlines. This I did not understand from the app that I have used before. There was no notice or warning of this. When I called Expedia customer service it was pretty much too bad and contact the airline. American Airlines also said too bad and that I can "hope" that my flight is cancelled or delayed over 4 hours, so they can cancel or delay on me but If I notify Expedia or American Airlines a month in advance where they can resell my seats then too bad and I believe this to be fraud on Expedia's part where you can sell tickets and American Airlines can sell seats and know a month in advance of a cancellation and not refund or provide a credit to utilize at another time. The American Airlines and double dip and commit fraud to receive double the ticket price. Both fraud by Expedia not explaining this on the app or warning and allowing this injustice to happen.
Claimed loss: $933
