This morning I woke to being restricted for posts saying nudity and sexual content, which there is none on my page, and then asked to verify my identity and I sent my Georgia Drivers License and then received the note saying my account is disabled and there is no appealing the decision. No way to contact anyone regarding this?
I have contacted my lawyer, Kevin Crick, of Rights Protection Group LLC, for this is ridiculous. I did nothing at all and a decision regarding an account I have had since 2008 or 2009 has been taken away, along with Instagram. My son died in 2019 and there are posts from him that I have saved in Facebook and memories I cannot get back and I have done absolutely nothing wrong. Facetime me, do a video call to see it is me, at least give me a chance to see what you say went against community standards. I had no way to say a word or see anything just took my account away and that is a consumer no no. I am a writer and a reviewer, and I have always backed Facebook but after this incident if it cannot be restored, I will file suit against Facebook and I will negatively review anything I see related to it. I get multiple dick pics and inappropriate messages from men who are able to remain on as users all the time. I see offensive and explicit content and it just remains on Facebook but I am not posting anything of the sort and yet I am disabled without an explanation or review of the said content and without an ability to appeal the decision. Desired outcome: Restore my account, for it does not have nearly any content compared to the millions of other explicit accounts I have seen and I want it restored immediately
I am experiencing the exact same problem. I have a personal and business page. My business page had fraudulent charges of $250. My hands are tied and the frustration and impact to my business is enormous. I also do a lot of fundraising and utilize Facebook to promote our events.
I have gone through the appropriate form but states that I have been reviewed and now permanently suspended.
I have tried emailing. If I have any success, I will pass it on but fear I will have none. Please share if you have any success. Thank you. Christine
Same here - disabled this week and today 10/5/22 heard that it was disabled - decision final. I am a 72 year old grandmother with lots of grandchildren pictures on my page that I cannot access. I stay in contact with friends and family through FB and have no way to dispute this.
I also have a business page and also am the administrator of an early childhood advocacy page. This is outrageous. When I try to make some sort of contact, I keep hitting brick walls. The help center route isn't working, the phone number doesn't accept customer support calls etc. etc.
Someone please help.
I’ve had the same thing happen to me as well. This is outrageous! You can’t even contact them to tell them that you were hacked. Shame on them!
I am having an almost identical problem. I have no idea why I was disabled and why my request to review was denied. I am a 72 year old grandmother and teacher. I keep in contact with family, friends, students through FB . PLUS I have SO many pictures on my page. How can I access them now?
I have made several attempts to figure this out and have hit dead ends every time.
Please stay in touch and pass on any hints. I will do the same.
I don't think this is working but I have been emailing FB at disabled@fb.com, abuse@fb.com and appeals@fb.com. Obviously I am getting no response from FB. Today, I tried again and disabled@fb.com was returned because it is full and can not accept any more emails at this time.
Promised to keep you posted. This is absolutely insane! Greatly affecting my personal and professional interactions. Christine
Just curious, I've have the same problem, are you a conservative voter or a Christian?
Trying to figure out what we all have in common
Maybe we should ALL file a class action suit for deformation of Character!
Same thing happened to me on Monday 10/10. I have a youth ballparks page tied to my account along with my sons baseball teams group pages with pictures of the kids playing ball over several years. No explanation other than I violated community guidelines, which I didn't. I sent them my ID & shortly after they completely disabled my account.
Is anyone having any luck resolving this issue. It is affecting personal, professional and fundraising. Crazy.
i wish i had an answer. I'm STILL trying to get their Instagram team to restore my account that was only 5 hours old and remove 2 accounts who are active with my name on them. it was some time around 2019 i think they blocked me for just setting up a account, all i got done was putting a picture [a dragon picture i had commissioned], a description "do not follow at this time. i am only following friends that only update their works here.", locking it to friends only, and removing 2 shady accounts that found me in 30 seconds after i hit save on the setup. they need to seriously be examined for this possibly shady practice of banning people and not giving a reason via email. i didn't find out till a year later when a scammer tried to get my account saying "your account is limited" didn't hit the link but went to the Instagram app and found out it was banned.
Happened to me as well today! Not sure what avenue to take at this point- my account holds the only video clip of our wedding (15 years ago) and I am kicking myself over and over for not offloading all the content before now.
Perhaps it is a long shot but I was thinking of contacting a news organization such as the Today show, how FB is permanently disabling accounts for thousands with no way to contact FB. We have lost memories, photos, albums and it is affecting us personally and in my case professionally. Any thoughts.
i think we should contact the commity instead [the gov one.] i mean they did get some things fixed after they were called out for the data harvesting scandal. maybe they need to have a chat with FB about this too.
Did anyone in this group ever get any resolve? This is greatly affecting my business, personal and fundraising efforts. Fingers crossed that someone has had success. Thanks.
