They wouldn't stop stop charging me and continue to do so

My contract was 4 months and i told them i would be leaving by then in the beginning

And 1 month before the end and also on the phone

They are still charging my 2 after contract

They must be stopped

This is outrageous

I would like to let those who is a first timer who wants to sign up for gym on their payment methods. Nvr sign up for recurring bills with autopay nor auto renew unless you are very sure that you wont forget to inform the gym when u want to cancel and u need to sign the release form before they consider you terminate.

Recently i am involved in this 'scam' at a gym in orchard, i agree with leonila_pramitha( after they sell you the membership there, but then they give NO service at all afterwards. They just keep on eating my money.) I signed up for their membership in yr 2010 and in the contract i remember 12 mths and i cldnt cancel within this period of time also. But recently due to some prob ddting payment from my credit card, they called and ask me for payment then i realise i had been paying additional for 1 yr. i asked for a waiver for the balance 2 mths and they rejected saying its stated auto renew in the contract and ask mi to pay for the balance 2 mths but the prob is i had been paying for nothng for the past 1 yr. And i told them i thought they shld at lest called and inform that ur one yr is up do u wan to contd, but the sales say they dont.

So ppl out there, please think carefully when signing up for gym membership and read they clauses carefully else you shall say bye bye to ur money.

Yeah fitness first sucks to hell. The consultant told me if I wanna stop I do t have to pay the termination fee. I told them I wanna freeze yet they deducted the whole month gym fees, this is so unreasonable. Have not even step into the gym for this whole month. Stupid company.

One year later and I am still getting charged. I have physically been in to see them almost a dozen times in addition to the calls. UNBELIEVEABLE. It is criminal action that is allowed to be taken place by the authorities

I came back from the fitness first branches of both ORQ and 100am with he most appalling experience. I went in to cancel my membership per the conversation that we had at the time of signing of the contract after the period as instructed by the sales crew. However, I am told that I need to give one month notice, despite what the sales person committed. So I even said then its 1 month from the date, so you prorate the required amount, but they will charge me for the full month so essentially they will charge me for 60DAYS. This is absolutely unacceptable.

After I moved, I have not been going to the gym at all since the last few months, but I still honored the contract period. However, I was extremely disappointed at fitness first and the way they treat their customers. To say the least, they want to siphon off money from your potential customers. Upon looking up online for reviews, I found out that this seems to be a common practice, and fitness first is running a scam. It is unworthy of what claims to be an international brand.
I see express mismanagement encouraged by the business and I am extremely disappointing that you are covering up your malpractices at the expense of the customer

PLEASE DO NOT JOIN FITNESS FIRST EVER. Almost any option is better than them, it seems

Omg Guys / Girls, i have been facing the same whole issue by this fitness first singapore.

I clearly remembered that i called in early two months before my contract ends to do a freezing of membership and also to ask when will the revised last date will be and supposing is in end august.

But now they are telling me that i have to wait until end of September because i didn't give them a heads up for their cancellation policy.

Which i remembered one year ago i called in to send my request for cancellation of my membership once the contracts ends, but nooooo apparently the person for that time didn't record my case and it wasn't even in the system when i clearly received an email on 08/may/2019 by default to say that i am request for cancellation.

WOW.

When i asked for a refund, he got angry at me and with a bad tone repeating his robot answers.

I didn't pursue more of my case is because i do not wan to argue with this bad consultant, still can call himself a senior =) Pui.

Please do not join Fitness First, they are a scam company. Bad marketing strategy and just full of honey traps all around. Even if you have mentioned some things but they won't note down your words and just deny as they didn't log in their CRM for the case you called in for.

Worst Senior Consultant, doesn't even know how to do customer service. - Hairy.

Since I am working for home, I wanted to cancel my membership as I don't leave near a gym. For the same month, they charged me $30 for freezing my membership then they charged me a full month on top of it for ending my membership. So, I am paying on the same month both for not going to the gym and a monthly membership fee! That is insane. I have tried to call them about it but the person on the other end tells me it is normal to be charged twice. I have the feeling of being in the twilight zone...

I joined Fitness First recently. The sales person verbally offered me that the initial 4 sessions with the trainer would be free. And I was told that I would be charged 385 SGD for the next 4 months membership. I agreed and saw that I was charged 485 SGD. They billed the 485 SGD to supplements and the free initial sessions that I was told were free.
And subsequent to that, I was billed monthly for the membership.

i recently had similar experience with fitness first singapore, for which i would classify as unauthorize suspecious payment activities.

My contract with them ended 28 Feb, and i have made FULL upfront payment.

One day, i received an email my membership is suspended due to change in payment details.

When i enquire further details: they mention it is because my credit card is not valid and i need to update them my credit card number otherwise my membership is suspended.

I asked them to clarify : why do you need my credit card info while (1) i do not owe you any money (2) i do not purchase any new service

Later, i was told if i do not submit my new credit card, i cannot make booking in my app, not acct suspended (please note that earlier i was told my acct was suspended)

Under Covid Rule and regulation, member must make booking via the app. If you connect the story together, they literally tell me : if i do not provide my credit card, i cannot go to gym, how cunning.

We exchange a few emails and they are not transparent in their explanation : still ask for my credit card number

I change my credit card recently so apparently they find out they couldnt charge my credit card hence contacting me.

How this is resolve? i mention i will dispute the case with consumer association group and subsequently, they offer free one month trial. they mention due to system error so they accidentally charge to my credit card.

Lesson: please communicate with your consultant in email so that you can living proof of them cheating.

Would i take action and accept one month free trial? the answer is no, as i intended to further escalate the case ae data breach, breach of consumer trust, mishandling of consumer data.
