Hi my name is Anita Muller and i wish to make a complaint about Flight Centre in Mount Gambier SA. I booked a return travel ticket from Brisbane - Adelaide - Mount Gambier which was meant to take place on the 25th March 2024. The ticket numbers are ZL913 and ZL4643. I became unwell on the 20th of March and needed to get back to Mount Gambier asap. I rang the Flight Centre help line in regards to changing my flight to an earlier date which was changed to the 22nd of March 2024,. I was charged an additional $499.34 and was told I was required to pay this additional amount if I wanted to change the booking. I was also told there was nothing that could be done about it and the booking attendant was extremely rude in regards to my inquiry as to why I needed to pay twice and told me to take the issue up with REX. I contacted Rex and was informed that I should not have paid for the 2 flights and was asked to put a request for refund in to them, which I have done. Upon returning to Mount Gambier I was hospitalized immediately. I believe that the fault lies with Flight Centre in regards to this issue however they blamed REX Airlines. I found my dealings with Flight Centre extremely disappointing and feel they handled the issue very poorly.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund on the flight which has already been taken up with Rex and would like Flight Centre to work together with Rex to make sure that this happens and I feel I deserve an apology for the way it was handled.
