I used to be a big fan of Folica.com, but not anymore. Recently, my Sedu 38mm curling iron stopped working, so I reached out to Sedu customer service for help. However, I was surprised to receive a response from a Folica customer service representative instead. We exchanged many emails over the course of a week, during which I was asked to provide the original order information. Luckily, I was able to find it since I had purchased the item through Folica.
After all that, the customer service rep informed me that the warranty had expired five months ago and that the best they could do was offer me a discount on a new Folica purchase. I asked if I could send in the curling iron for repair, but she said no. I then asked if I could purchase the same item on their website, but to my dismay, they no longer carried it. In fact, they didn't even manufacture it anymore.
So now, I'm stuck with a $140 piece of junk that I can't use. Thanks a lot, Folica. You just lost another loyal customer. I used to shop exclusively on your website, but now I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Luckily, it was still under warranty, so I returned it to Folica's Return Dept. just like they told me to. I even included a copy of my original receipt, the Folica return form I found on their website, and a check to cover costs. But guess what? They sent the whole package back to me UNOPENED and marked REFUSED - RETURN TO SENDER! Can you believe it?
I was so mad, I called Folica right away. But the customer service rep I talked to was no help at all. They said they sent my broken flat iron back because "it was a 2007 model," which is totally false. I bought it in 2011! They didn't even bother to open my package and check the date. What a waste of time and effort.
So, I decided to switch to a BAYBYLISS PRO NANO TITANIUM instead. It was almost half the price of the SEDU and it comes with a 4-year warranty. And you know what? I love it even more than the SEDU! It's a great iron that actually lasts.
Folica, you really let me down. I used to be a longtime repeat customer, but not anymore. I'm done with you. Shame on you for not honoring your warranty.

Throughout the week, I tried calling their 1-888 line but the phone wouldn't even ring. It was just a constant busy signal. I even clicked on the link in my confirmation email to check for delivery updates, but it just took me straight to "my account" with no update and the message "no orders associated with this account". I was getting frustrated.
The standard shipping time is 1-7 business days, but I still hadn't received my order. I decided to call my bank and speak to someone in disputes. Thankfully, I was protected because Folica didn't honour their delivery policy. My bank gave me a credit and will take care of disputing it with a 3rd party. I was relieved, but also disappointed.
I don't recommend doing business with this company. They seem unprofessional and illegitimate. It's not worth the hassle or concern of wondering whether your item is being shipped or if your order was even processed. I may receive the package later on, but I plan on returning it immediately and making sure I'm credited for the shipping costs. Overall, this was the worst online service I've ever experienced.

It was 33.9 oz for $240, which was okay with me. I went to the top of the page to open an account, but when I refreshed the page, the link to the product was gone. I couldn't find it anywhere on the site.
After some searching, I found out that the product was no longer available. They switched me to a 10 oz version for $160, which I was not happy about. But then they had a special offer for $30 off for $150, which still wasn't nearly as good as the deal I had clicked on.
I tried to purchase and check out, but it only gave me $16 off. At that point, I was invested in this and decided to call the company. I waited for 15 minutes before a very tired lady answered the phone. She told me that the product was excluded from the special offer, but I had clicked on the exclusion since it wasn't listed on the website.
I told her that I had clicked on the exclusions and there was nothing listed. Plus, they were going to give me $16 off, so it couldn't be excluded. She said it was only 10%, and she couldn't or wouldn't assist me any further.
Unfortunately, I missed my window of time to order within my timeframe. So, I thought I'd give the public a warning about my experience. Happy shopping, but be careful when ordering from Folica.com. PS: I make a point of writing at least three good reviews for every one poor one. I actually don't have time to do reviews, which is why I do more good ones before I feel like I have the right to do a poor one. Just sayin' :)
