I visited location #84 on 11/12/2023 around 10:30am. I stopped by the Deli area to purchase chicken with my younger son. I waited as others ignored my although I was there first. I watched as others got served before me although I was there first. The lady eventually came, (Deli Manager), I asked for 4 fried legs and 4 grilled or baked wings. She put them in small separate boxes. I asked can she please put them in one box. She Refused! I told her that I would prefer them together and she refused again and start becoming agitated. I told her that have always got them in one container. She got louder at me telling me she wont it has to count for cost purposes. I asked to just put both sticker on the same container, she refused and became defiant and verbally non professional. I asked for manager, she yelled at me saying she was the manager and she is not putting them in the same box. She then refused to give them to me. I was clear that she did not have to act like a B over how I want my product contained. She got louder in presence of guest and kids, demanded that I leave. I did tell her where she can stick that chicken, after the bombardment of rudeness. She came from around the counter, which made me feel threatened as well as risking the safety of Me, herself and guest. She radioed the GM on unit named Sharla. I tried to explain, she was defensive instead of listening and allowed the deli manager to uses profanity towards me. She was one sided with the conversation. She kicked me and my son out of the store as well. making concerning comments as we was leaving. I have been a loyal customer to that specific location well over 4 years and have never been treated in such a manner nor have I ever got upset from the service. I plan on sharing experience with social media and the community outreach support for African Americans in the Florence, Queen Creek and San Tan Valley AZ Locations and our Church Organization. I will share with the Black Veterans of American Local Depot. This simply was a matter of staff making it right and providing the service expected to a consumer. Her actions was created my actions. I was very nice and respectful when I first started the conversations.
Claimed loss: I did feel belittled and Humiliated. My son should not have witnessed such actions. I had to travel outside of my area to go buy food and groceries including cost just to go miles away.
Desired outcome: I will appreciate a response and apology. Team should be aware how to respond and or not create a situation that can be de-escalated. I'm sure you provide conflict resolution.
