I had a incident that occured on 6/2/2023 and my vehicle went into the shop at the Land Rover dealership and 8 miles down the road the car engine burnt up. When my husband came to help me because the Land Rover Jaguar Portland would not send a tow truck the AAA and my husband opened the hood and realized the dealership shop did not put the radiator cap back on fully and the fluids were all over the car and had made the car burn up. After trying to deal with the dealership that denied they did this I called Geico The man that took the claim information said yes this is covered under "vandalism" and they would cover it. They had us take pictures of the car while it was at my house after being towed there and all was given to the adjuster man. He send me a notice that the car would be totaled and that would be what they would do. Although upset I went ahead and had a rental car (at my expense) and decided it was costing too much so I bought myself a new car. Going by what Geico told me I felt I was ok to do this. Now over 3 months later they have decided by their upper level people that they will not cover this and that is is now considered a mechanical failure. Well that is just not true They even got a investigator to talk to the shop (not sure why they would since they were the perpetrator of the problem in the first place) and becuasde the dealershipo did not want to take responsibility they told the investigator that it was probably due to maintenance not being done on this car. Well again complete lies. We do our own oil changes (which is horrible becaujse we have zero proof and Geico wants to hang their hat on this ) and the other oil change we gave them the receipt. This car worked beautifully It is a 2018., Not a problem wrong besides the oil leak that I called in about and they spent one hour diagnosing it and said it was perfectly fine to drive and they even topped off all the fluids. We have all the correspondence with this jokiers and have given it all to Geico and they have procrastinated and the ladies we are working with have no idea even how a vehicle works so they are clueless Now we are forced to find a lawyer and sue them. We have had them for years and even our boat and house are insured.. They did us dirty big time and now my car sits with a huge car payment and now the bank is demanding me insure it (comical I know) So these guys have made false claims and lied and put me in a horrible position now to have 2 large car payments. They are criminals in my eyes.
Desired outcome: They need to total my car out as they promised!!!!!!!!!
