I had no issues with the representatives being rude or pushy. However, the issue I called about was not addressed, and it's been over a month. I had only one account with them, but it shows 3 accounts with them on my credit report. I have paid my balance in full and requested that it be reported as such. One account was removed from my credit report, but the other two remain. I asked for GCS to send the correct info to the credit reporting agency. The woman said it would be done by Friday, a month ago. It hasn't been done yet. Please fix this. Thanks

I recently pulled my credit report and found an old collection amount that I had already paid by another agency. I have never received a letter from General Credit Services Inc. and have no way to contact them as their website limits how we can contact you. I am looking to buy a home and will need to have this old account removed from my report. Either the account was bought/ sold to another agency or *** reported this account twice. I am writing here before I file a report, in hopes to resolve the issue directly with General Credit Services Inc.. Thanks

I dislike discovering incorrect debt reports as they're often false.
I dislike discovering incorrect debt reports, a common issue. General Credit never contacted me about these alleged issues, leading me to term it 'debt parking' or passive debt collection. Four years post-settlement of my original debt, this baseless claim arises.

I owed a person some money and it went to collections at General Credit Services
I owed a person some money and it went to collections at General Credit Services. I received an offer to settle this debt for a certain amount. I repeatedly asked Mark B of General Credit Services if this would settle my debt and remove it from my credit history. After paying the requested amount, I checked my credit report and found the debt still reporting, along with General Credit Services, thus lowering my credit score. General Credit Services is not responding to my emails to resolve this issue.
I did not make any purchase. I have never in any way used this service. These people have been calling m e for a long time... constantly calling for a person named ***. That name is not attached to my phone number. I don't understand why they keep doing this. I have explained it many times and they have promised to take me off their list of bad debts, but within a week or two i get another call. It's always from a new agent. They keep passing me around their agents. It is driving me mad. Can't they check up to see that my phone number is nothing to do with the person they are trying to collect from. I want them to stop this *** How do I make them stop.
Kindly note this takes a lot of my energy at this moment. The company sent me a letter 1 week ago and I called back and explained to the agent on the phone that debt is over 6 years and unfortunately I am dealing with ***. The agent said that would be removed and my credit report would be adjusted. Now a week later I get a letter saying they will take action if I don't pay in 7 days. I find a low move to tell someone that is fragile something and then send a *** I reached out after the first letter and all I was told it's like never happened.
I have an outstanding debt I would like to take care of. When I originally was able to finally pay it off, I called several times, never reached an agent or got a call back. Radio silence for at least a month. The first letter was then sent to my previous address, delivered several days after the payment options offer expired. Upon receiving this letter, I proceeded to call the number listed on numerous days, never being connected to an agent. I left voicemails with all relevant information each time and did not receive a return phone call. The next letter arrived at my current address, also arriving several days after the enclosed 72 hour time limit had expired. I have the intent to pay this debt but am being labeled as "uncooperative" when I am not able to reach an agent at any time.
I received a collection notice for $84.87 from an unnamed company
I received a collection notice for $84.87 from an unnamed company. Attempting to pay online, the company's site was incompatible with online banking. Their website indicated a takeover by General Credit Services. I then used General Credit Services' details to pay, but felt uneasy about the transaction's legitimacy. Contacting the numbers provided led to a sex chat line and an unresponsive line. The General Credit Services' phone and online chat were unhelpful. After leaving a voicemail, they returned my call, claiming no record of my account. Now, I've received a second notice, despite having paid, and I'm unsure who received my payment.

This company who i have never spoken to before in my life has placed something on my credit report about a Telus account that was opened December which is impossible. We have had the same active Telus account for more years than I can count, close to a decade!
I am suddenly getting threatening calls and letters to take legal action from General Credit Services Inc., claiming I owe $6961.21 to *** and the original creditor being *** It states that the debt is seriously past due, however, I only became aware of this recently. I have told them multiple times that I do not know anything about this debt they claim is in collections. There is nothing on my credit report reflecting the company or the amount. The latest letter I received demands I pay them within 72 hours or "Immediate Legal Action" will be taken without further notice.
Credit solution company that has not talked to me via phone or mail before today demanding payment
Credit solution company that has not talked to me via phone or mail before today demanding payment. I know I owe bills however: The number they have called me from continuously - [protected], as well as [protected] has called me 7 to 10 times everday with no voicemail, just silence and when I have called back there has been no answer or it hangs up. Since I had no idea who it was from for months I blocked the numbers on my phone as their was no discernible number and no information on who it was from until a letter I received on August 27 that stated they had attempted to find a solution with me, im unwilling to cooperate and they are *** 72 hours or will go to legal action. IF they had contacted me they would have known *** that it isn't right to call me incessantly every single day several times a day from their agency. I have also attempted to contact *** but they will not grant me anything ***.

This credit agency has a debt from 7.5 years ago on my credit report and claims I made a payment last year, which I never have. The debt is past the time to legally be collected and should have already been removed from my credit report. I want this company to remove this debt from my credit report immediately.
Hello, upon checking my credit report there was an entry from General Credit Services. I called an made a payment in May 26th. I was promised a Discharge Letter on June 2nd. I have not yet received it and all further contact has been ignored. They even continued to send it to the credit bureau as outstanding as of June 16th. I would like my discharge letter and have it removed from my credit report as promised. File number
I have been contacted by "Lewis U" with General Credit Services Inc and he has not only threatened me, harassed me, but he continues to contact me after I have asked him to stop and let him know that I am starting the process to file bankruptcy. He has threatened to garnish my wages 30%, contacting my HR Department, and has been verbally abusive towards me within trying to collect a debt with *** of $1,190.00. I had closed this account 2-3 month ago because the debt became unmanageable as I am experiencing financial stress and am a single mother of 4. *** has agreed that it was the best option and to pay the bill as I can within reasonable time. Since closing the account, I made $300.00 payment towards my bill and have no intention of not paying this, however, I do not deserve to be harassed, shamed, and threatened into paying this debt. Also, today; December 2 at 8:17am I received a settlement email from Lewis to settle the debt. The same day at 10:54 am I received the following email from Lewis threatening me "We are reaching out to you in regards to your outstanding *** account. We haven't heard from you so we have decided to forward your account to our legal department and look into our legal options. Let us know if you would like to take advantage of a settlement opportunity to prevent any more negative impact towards your credit and resolve the matter prior to legal action. If we proceed with garnishing your wages, we will be in contact with your HR department and employer. Garnishing wages will be up to 30% per paycheque. I have attached e-mail correspondence for your review." Giving me absolutely no time to give the settlement consideration.

I am filing this complaint in regards to numerous emails I have received from this company
I am filing this complaint in regards to numerous emails I have received from this company. In the initial email I received, I was offered to pay a lump sum in which after receiving the payment, my account with them would be listed as paid in full and closed. I paid the lump sum, and a couple of weeks after, I received another email stating I needed to pay the remaining balance. I have all the emails and proof of transaction. According to the correspondence the account should have been settled. However, that clearly is not the case as I am still receiving emails and the account is still open on my credit report. I have attempted to contact them by phone on numerous occasions and cannot reach anybody. I had left a voicemail to the extension I was advised to contact in my email, in which I never received a follow up. Considering the lack of communication and professionalism, I can only assume this is not a *** business. I have all supporting documents if needed. Please advise, Thank You.

I checked my credit score and noticed there is a collection from a collections agency GCS ***. After looking it up it is likely for a mobile plan with *** mobile. I have never had any mobile plan with any company other than *** mobile in the past decade. This company clearly has the wrong individual and they are harming my credit. I am seeking them to remove the amount owing from my credit history immediately.
I have a Telus Mobility debt that I am trying to pay to help fix my credit. I speak to reps from this collection agency and am told that they will call or email me, but I receive no response. I had a lawyer contact them in April 2022 and no response. This debt has interest occurring on it and I find it shameful that they don't call back to help and instead rack up my debt. I would like to pay this debt and negotiate a one time payment as soon as possible.
I received mail claiming I owe on a credit card and the bank sold my account to a collection agency.
I got a letter stating I owe on a credit card and the bank has transferred my overdue account to General Credit Services for collection. They instructed me to act within 7 days. However, I've never interacted with this bank or held their credit card. This account isn't on my credit reports, and it would've affected my ability to get credit or loans. Why am I just now learning of this alleged debt? How did they get this information and demand payment? I've read many reviews about this company's unclear claims without taking responsibility.

I obtained a payday loan from a lender in 2017 for $750.00
In 2017, I took out a $750 payday loan. Despite missing payments, I've repaid $1,651.36. The agency now wants $2,386.38 more. They're adding interest, claiming a default, but no principal is due. Legally, they can't exceed 2.5% monthly interest on any defaulted amount. I offered $100 to settle, but they refused. I seek Complaintsboard.com's help to challenge these fees and secure a release from the lender or General Credit Services.

On November 30th I received an email from this company with a link to a loan place to help settle my debt
On November 30th I received an email from this company with a link to a loan place to help settle my debt. I found the contact information and reached out to the company. I inquired as to why there was interest being charged as Collection agencies are not allowed to do this. They responded stating that it was their client *** adding the interest not them. I continued to ask questions, they answered them, but after doing some research I decided to contact *** Directly. After a very long phone call I discovered that it was not *** adding interest but it was the company. I emailed back and told them that they lied to me about the interest and Katie DEMANDED to know who i spoke to and their extension. I told them that their client(***) would be able to see who the last person was to touch my account. I then proceeded to ask for invoices and documents from *** advising them they can add interest. Today Dec 7th, I received 3 invoices and an unsigned *** contract. All 3 invoices from *** dates Jan 2019, Jan 2020 and Nov 25th, 2021 all state that my amount owing was $2147 and the last email i had from this company stated i owed 5,234.11. I have attached those for reference as well as an Email where they lay out the interest and state *** is the one adding interest, By the invoices this is FALSE and i want this to be corrected and the debt to be written off

I filed a complaint with ComplaintsBoard.com against a company for falsely reporting debt on my credit report
I filed a complaint last year with Complaintsboard.com against a company for falsely reporting the same debt on my credit report. It was thoroughly investigated and found to be incorrect. The company removed the debt from my report in February as promised and confirmed via email that they had no evidence to support the claim. I've never had any dealings with them and owe them nothing, which was confirmed by the company, and they assured me it would not reappear on my credit file. However, I've learned that this false debt was sold to another agency who is now demanding payment and has re-listed it on my credit report. Despite my repeated attempts to communicate and provide proof of the previous investigation, they ignore my emails and calls, insisting on payment. This issue was already resolved once, and I've shared the email from the company acknowledging the lack of evidence and the removal of the debt. It's perplexing and frustrating that a baseless debt can be perpetually recycled by different agencies. I demand its removal and an end to this harassment, as it's a significant waste of my time and a source of stress.

So I had a small outstanding debt with *** years ago, to be exact I had them send me to collections on June 25th
So I had a small outstanding debt with *** years ago, to be exact I had them send me to collections on June 25th. I intended to pay this, but life got in the way and I decided try to wait it out and face the consequences of this for years. Now I'm getting my life together and figuring things out and I was looking forward to having the debt removed from my file and by the looks of it from *** and ***, I was almost at the point I could fix my personal credit. But, today, I go on *** to see this company called General Service Credit has apparently obtained my file and added it to their collections. Not only that, but... apparently there was a payment made to them on Feburary 1st 2021, which I didnt make and have the statements to prove it. A debt of $1127 is now $4546 and now, I'm concerned my credit will be destroyed until I'm forced to pay it. My issues with this are as followed. One, I never made a payment to them ever and don't plan on too. I've read their reviews and this company comes across as a scam or borderline *** for anyone that tries too. Two. It's been well over 7 years, I've paid my dues not being able to have a credit card, a house, or anything due to this small payment. This so called company putting this back on collections and stating I've made a payment just to destroy my credit is borderline *** I dont know if this is the right course of action, but I have no idea what else to do at this time. At the very least maybe the Complaintsboard.com can send me in the right directions. Thank you for you time.

Re: General Credit Services Inc
Re: General Credit Services Inc. This company had been phoning me every day, seven days a week, sometimes twice a day for the past 8months. It seems that there is a person or company that is spacifically targeting me. It seems once I file a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com about a collection company and the fraudulent attacks against me, the company then withdraws and stops contacting me. However Within 4 weeks there is always another company fraudulently attacking me. I have dealt with some of these companies on my own, asked them to stop calling and they did. However this is probably about the 6th company in that last 3yrs. This will be the 3rd time I file a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com regarding a collection company that has not stopped with their daily attack***. So far I have called this company and told them to stop calling and ***ing me, i don't know how many times. Probably 8 or 9 times. They always say, ok we stop phoning you, Yet for the last 8months they continue to call and *** me every single day, sometimes twice a day. Please, please, please... Is there someway I can find out who is continually falsely attacking and ***ing me. Is there anyway that I can get this company to STOP calling and ***ing me. There should be laws that worked, laws that would protect people from the relentless abuse put forward by these people in collections, people that are clearly so, so deeply unhappy and so full of self loathing and misery in their own lives that they have to do their level best to bring that misery to everyone they can. I guess its true what they say. ***. *** Please make them stop...

I received the attached letter from Credit Services Inc
.I received the attached letter from Credit Services Inc. of Jan 11,2022 1. the account # list does not belong to me 2. how could anyone follow the 72 hour demand when they receive a letter when it was delivered 144 hours after the date posted 3, CSI states that they have attempted to work with me. They have NEVER contacted me or even attempted to.. 4. What provincial legislation entitles them to send out such a *** letter to a *** year old *** without any prior contact? 5. My "account manager" must be ashamed of this letter as he/she did not sign it It turns out that this account belongs to my grandson who lives with me.. About five years ago I signed him up for a phone attached to my plan as he was underage. He has since renewed a number of times. He is now an adult. He kept up the payments for years until *** and is now unable to work. For a while his mother help pay his bill. Neither of them gave me any indication that he was is arrears. Why did *** or CSI not notify me? This letter is unjust and uncalled for. I refuse to deal with this company and on January the 12th with the little money I have, I paid $612,14 to ***. How do you allow a company *** to take a senior's home away for $600? Their business license should be revoked. I relalise the my daughter and/or grandson should have let me know, but that is no excuse for the lies in that very *** letter... Do not pass my email or phone number on to this cruel collection agency. When contacting ***, they told me that they could only contact my grandson, But his phone was disconnected. They obviously gave this *** agency my name and address, yet they did not contact me either. This should never happen to anyone. Sice my grandson renewed his phone himself I should have been dropped from his plan.
