Recall 2025302
I paid to have this recall done about 3 1/2 years ago. I gave the paper work to the service manager Brian at Wells River he never submitted it . A few months back I contacted Chevrolet about it and he Brian gave the rep from Chevy the information she said I would be rembursed and than called me back and said GM declined it because it had been to long. I...
Read full review of General MotorsI have a 2018 chevrolet equinox premier, the vehicle is blowing the fuse for hvac..
The vehicle is blowing the fuse for the HVAC on the lower part of dash. I have had it in for service six (6)times for the same thing. They have replaced the wire from fuse to "module" for HVAC. They then replaced the "module" for HVAC and fuse once again. It seems all they can do is replace the fuse and give it back to me, only to have fuse blow again in a day or two. It seems to me that we need to do something different. I think GM should take car back and repair it properly while they give another car..The car only has 9000 miles on it!
services
My engine light came on (stablelink control). My suv would shut down, I would wait 10 min, then I would be able to drive it. Though gm online, made an appointment for closest gm service center. Throttle body assembly w/gasket & replace connector (sec light on). Paid 700.00 jan 1 2019, last week light came back on went in, needed to make an appoint for monday 25th feb. Was told I was running my suv with no oil in it. Recommended front cv axle, shock absorbers, replace front timing cover, not urgent : problem: several price from 1, 100.00-2300. Oil change& spark plugs. I asked. What I needed now? Oil change 197.00. Pick up: I was told I stretched my timing change, to trade it in, buy new vehicle, when I get gas check oil everytime. My suv light still on, sounds like it's going to blow up, I don't know if my engine is going to blow, original problem shut down, side of road, I don't feel safe. I was told now my suv is only worth 500.00 for trade in. I so upset. I did the right thing, gm service center to fix it, I paid, now i'm told the only choice 32000, 00 or trade in for new car/ 10 day pay off. Not used suv because 10 day pay off would apply. I don't feel safe driving my suv because last time no immediate problems. I have no leaks underneath my suv, under the hood no visible fluids on/ around engine. What do I believe?

service dept
I went a week and a half ago to put nitrogen in my winter tires on my 2015 cruze. At first one of the employees said no we can not do that only regular air we can put in your winter tires. Prior to going I spoke to a service manager and they said it can be done since I have the full warranty package. I found the worker to be rude and very confrontational. Jess one of the service advisers said sure we can do it so I left my vehicle for a few hours came back a week later I noticed my car was pulling to the left. So I brought it back yesterday and was told no they did not put nitrogen in my tires just regular air. I spoke to jeoff the manager and basically was called a liar since there was no documentation of me leaving my vehicle with them. Jeoff was very rude and found to be very unprofessional and seemed to already has his mind set on not waving the fee. Definitely do not have confidence on leaving my vehicle there again. I do not think it was fare to charge me for the green valves for the tires. So for $40.00 they would rather lose a loyal customer. This has really left me with a bad taste in my mouth and will definitely not be purchasing another gm product nor going to that dealer in the future. No customer service skills what so ever
headlights
I bought a 2015 GMC sierra at the Bennington, VT Auto Mall two months ago with 44, 000 miles. Within 30 days of buying it I drove down to the dealership to have the service dept check my headlights and adjust them as need. I was told by the service department that I was all set. That evening while driving I was still unable to see very far and when I put the high beams on they where pointed at the top of the trees. 2/25/2019 I drove my truck to Bennington, VT Auto mall because the fan no longer worked, the paint above the windshield, drivers door and passanger door was peeling off. I served my country in the USAF for 21 years and bleed for my country in Iraq. Im always telling people to buy American. If this the quality of American made trucks im at a lose for words

I have notice that every time its rains or we wash our vehicle that there is water standind in the gas nozzle, dont know if any water is getting in the gas or not but if it is it will ruin the motor, this is a bad news for GM if the problem is not corrected, I have been trying to dry the water with paper towels before I put gas in shoudnt have to do that, so please take this serious and not kick this down the road. Also I have notice that there are little rust spects on my car, my car is white so dont think I could see it if it was another color, thx Lambert Decker
chevrolet traverse
I have been having trouble with my 2009 Chevrolet Traverse for years. The exhaust system is horrible. I know GM knows the exhaust system is horrible because a year after the 2009's, they put in a whole new exhaust system in the new traverse. I contacted the CEO, Ms. Barra and I was contacted by the executive staff who asked me to bring the car in the dealership. The promised to pay some of al of the repairs. After I received what was wrong with the car, they said they are not paying for anything. According to the executive team, this was due to the year of the car and the mileage. This information was presented to them before they asked me to bring my car to the dealership. Now I have to either pay for the repairs or either pay the diagnostic testing.
power seat adjustment - 2016 impala lt
The power option stopped working and I took the vehicle to Carl Black Chevrolet in Kennesaw, GA. I took the vehicle in several times beginning in Sept. 2018 for this problem. I was told that my size and the way I was getting in and out of the vehicle contributed to this failure of the power switch. I returned the vehicle in February to replace the damaged part. THe seat operated correctly and I went home. When I got out of the seat the lumbar handle on the driver's side popped off. I returned the vehicle on 2/20. After the handle was re-attached I started to leave, but the power switch was again not working. At this time the service writer took the vehicle and when it was returned to me, he said it was siliconed in place and if it broke again it was caused by my size and the way I get in and out of this vehicle. I had a 2001 lumina and a 2004 impala. I am about the same size and did not have a power switch issue with either of those vehicles. What is the weight and/or handicap ;imitation for the 2016 impala? THank You.
buick encore bought through yates in goodyear az
We bought a Buick Encore new 2014 right away there was a problem where we had to keep bringing it back until it was problem was indicated by GM and it was finally fixed. We have always done the maintence faithfully either at dealership or other dealership. The brakes have squeaked since we have had it they say there is nothing they can do. The screen also has not worked right it fades to dark and yo have to turn the light knob for it to brighten again. We are on the 4th battery. There is a noise in the steering but doesnt happen all the time so they cannot fix that. recently it had to have the turbo replaced and some other minor fixes. then this last week the catalytic converter went out which caused other problems with spark plugs, an oil seal leak? and something that was loose with the air conditioning that was making noise. So just in this last Month or two we have had to pay over 3000 for repairs to a car that is only 4 years old!
We bought American, Buick for the elegance and supposedly great car! We can't keep this up we are retiring and can't afford this kind of expense. We had a Nissan that never had anything herendous like this. It was an SUV 04 and didn't have to replace even the air until 2017! Now my son drives it! There is something serious wrong with this picture.
Tell us what we can do or if you can help we are very dissatified when we thought we had a great car!
Sincerely,
David and Rose Green

engine
I purchased my 2012 Chevy Traverse brand new with a 5 years payment and had it paid off in 21/2 years. Therefore they would not grant the warranty of 100, 000. miles for the engine. My 2012 Chevrolet Traverse While operating the vehicle, "reduce engine power" and "stabilitrak" suddenly appeared on the instrument panel. Next, the vehicle decelerated and failed to accelerate properly. The failure was diagnosed as being the Timing Chain and they would have to replace the whole motor. Serra Chevrolet of Southfield, MI (Telegraph Rd.) and the manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 85, 000. The dealership wants $4, 500. to fix the problem. I don't understand why the motor is still not covered under the warranty. This is unacceptable and unexplainable of the situation. I know GM has had recalls on the 3.6 motors and I can't get any help to fix the problem.
2017 chevy colorado
I purchased my colorado back in september 2017. It has been back to the dealer for warranty work on the torque converter last summer and recently at the end of january it blew an oil line while waiting to have an oil pump recall done, which took 2 and a half weeks to repair.in the mean time my truck was experiencing the same symptoms with the torque converter it had at the start! It was taken back to my dealer and they said there was a bulletin to change the transmission fluid, which was completed. Upon pick up I was informed that I might experience the shudder again and that it might take2 to 300 kms for it to clear up? My biggest concern is, what is going to happen to my truck when the warranty is done, i'm getting so i'm nervous to drive it in case something else goes wrong on it, it only has 27,000 kms on it!
bad engine
I had a 09 cadillac with a 3.6 engine, after I bought it I was warned by mechanics to get rid of it because of bad cam chains in the engine, I drove this car for 2000 miles and sure enough the engine light came and after it was checked it was the cam chains, why hasn't there been a recall on these engines when you knew about this problem for years. One of the most expensive cars that gm has built is nothing but junk.
unethical behavior
Please top this dealership fr scam, or shut it down. You really need to govern your dealeships. I was told laon apprved papers sined, 5 days later they call and say a piece of paper was missed if I coud come in a sign. Surprise no loan! They let me leave 5 days earleir under the impresiion my credit union approved over the phone to top ot off. Then I get there they embrasse me infront of other customers pit a toallly didffenrt loan infront of me told me to sihne or gibve the car back, in completer embrassment I signed. For much higter payments if youdont do somthing besides offer me a r}year sirris radio< I will file suit with the attorney general< they are alreadt investigating the dealership but thing you need to step up to the plate and deal with the unlawful practice thst you are letting go on in order to sell cars! If I was a man this would not of happened!~
2010 chevy silverado 5.3 ltr aluminum head engine
In December of 2015 I had to go and trade in my 2008 Buick Enclave because it was having severe compression problems and transmission issues due to the fact it was a Saturn Motor not a Buick Motor installed in this vehicle. So I drive 42 miles to Harrison Arkansas from my home in Blue Eye Missouri and decide to buy this 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 ls 4wd pickup (one owner) with only 20, 000 miles on it from Wood Motor Company in Harrison Arkansas. Great Truck till I arrive at about 80, 000 miles and one day I am driving down the road and the oil pressure gage goes to zero and I pull over immediately check the oil (it is full) I call my husband and I say hey my oil pressure just went to zero so I am like 2 miles from home I drive it on home he gets under and realizes after pulling the oil filter from it, it had collapsed. So of course we think wrong filter, faulty filter something had to have seriously happened to it. Till we start looking up this vehicle and realize it was not anything we did or the service area that had been doing the service it is a known flaw in this motor and there are several 100 registered complaints on this motor. So now I need new cams and lifters to band aid the problem or a whole new motor(not this one) to be installed in this truck. Well seeing that I do not have an extra $6, 500.00 in my pocket and even if I did why should I pay for something that was clearly a defect in the beginning of this Vehicles life span. I think GM should either pay for the installation of the new motor and the motor itself or buy it back from me and I will have to purchase something else. I mean the original price was $ 27, 500.00 that I have now paid down to $13, 000.00 and if I put another 6 or 7 grand back in it I am back at square one with still a defective vehicle and upside down to boot. Thank You for your time Alexis is pissed at Blue Eye Missouri

Re: NAZA Malaysia is not responsible and disregard customer safety
After 17/01/2019 car service, JRJ835 gearbox coming problems, RPM is high but can't move forward happen in the highway from KLUANG to KL. Luckily, there is no any accident happen in that.
Complaints:
1. Disregard for the safety of customers and other road users.
2. JRJ835 maintenance lasts for more than 15 days, neither NAZA nor Chevyline do actively inform the customer when it will be ok and Case Report. NAZA just insincere ask us to wait.
3. Since 25/01/2019, there is no replacement car has been provided although the Warranty Department Head Mr. Arshad (Arshad.ml@naza.com.my, +6019 226 0844) was promised.
4. By the way, NAZA and Mr. Arshad there is no sincere any compensation plan to us, they disregard the customer safety and caused by customers' inability to use the car and the waiting time in no confirm date.
4. The after-sales manager Mr. Arshad has a very bad response either to us or Cheveryline, there are not only many excuses, but also not keep his words (promise to provide a replacement car for us).
5. NAZA is not responsible. Not only do not have the email publication, but it also could not track and follow our Case Report.
Requirements:
1. Loss of our company caused by inability to use the car on 25/01/2019 till now, maybe after this case, give the how many times free after-service maintenance or other sincere compensation.
2. The replacement car promised by the manager Mr. Arshad.

2016 recall was fixed by Jim Schmidt Chevy in Hicksville, OH
They replaced the steering shaft torque sensor. It has went bad again. My 19 yr. old daughter was driving it in heavy traffic and all of a sudden she had no power steering and she was very scared while driving and couldn't get it to turn.
I took it back in to Jim Schmidt Chevy in Hicksville OH and they said the recall was fixed in March 2016 and if I wanted it fixed again, I would have to pay for it.
This isn't a fair thing to tell a consumer when I had the recall fixed 2 yrs. prior and now it is the same issue and they are saying it's not under warranty. Not my fault or my problem that this recalled part went out again.
Please advise

2/14/19 Same here! We replaced the steering shaft torque sensor under recall in 2014 by our local dealer duteauchevrolet.com in Lincoln, NE, my husband lost power steering this week and the dealer will not cover it to replace the sensor again (another $500). We've spent $1250 at our regular mechanic (because the dealer said these items were not covered in the recall) in the last year and a half to replace the intermediate shaft which is part of the power steering mechanism that transmits the torque from the steering column to the steering gears - btw the steering gear was fixed under recall in 2017 at the same dealer), we also had to pay to fix the power steering motor 2 weeks ago (again because the dealer said this wasn't part of the recall). This is not only dangerous but GM should be paying for anything and everything that has to do with the electric power steering not just 1 or 2 parts). We have a 2004 Malibu. UGH!
service to my vehicle
I have a 2012 GMC Terrain that I have had regularly serviced at Suntrup Buick GMC in St Peters MO for the past 6 years. The vehicle went out of the 100, 000 mile warranty last summer. In June 2018 at 107, 150 miles the vehicle was serviced for a timing chain replacement and worn actuators. There was also a multi-point inspection done on the vehicle ($1828.21). September 2018 the vehicle experienced total loss of power while driving on the freeway. Immediate inspection showed no oil on the dipstick. The vehicle was towed to the nearest dealer -Bob Brockland, Columbia, IL. The service representative there told me when they accessed the motor they saw rear cam 6 of 8 rockers fell out, rear cam actuator out of alignment. Also noticed that the actuator bolts were were not tightened down-finger tight-as well as cam damage. They did not take timing cover off for further inspection. I was charged $200 for there diagnostics. The vehicle was towed as professional courtesy to Suntrup Buick. It was my understanding that the damage done was caused by the loose actuator bolts. When Suntrup Buick received the vehicle I was told that the problem was caused by a known service directive of excessive oil consumption. The dealer proceeded to rebuild my engine at no cost. I would have let this matter be over but after researching the known oil consumption directive I discovered that if this were in fact the reason my vehicle experienced problems, it was also the same reason my timing mechanism was damaged but it was not brought out at that time and I was charged for services. I am still out the $200. The representative at Bob Brooklyn told me to collect from Suntrup and Suntrup keeps telling me to collect from Bob Brooklyn. At one point (Dec 2018) the service representative from Bob Brooklyn called me and asked if I had ever received the $200. He said he was going to have his dealer send a check. I still haven't received the check and I have called and inquired two times. I am very disheartened by the suspected lack of integrity I have experienced from both GMC service centers. I am ready to purchase a new vehicle and have serious misgivings about ever purchasing a GM vehicle again. I am very frustrated by the situation and also by my inability to contact anyone to speak to personally. I am only hoping that this registered complaint will get addressed and I will be contacted before I escalate this whole situation up to the Better Business Bureau and local consumer advocates.
loyal customer with door locking issue, no resolution!
Case # [protected]
My husband and I have purchased/leased numerous GM products over the years. In the past they have all been great working vehicles and the company has stood behind their products when an issue has occurred. My husbands 2016 Silverado is a lease that we were debating the options of purchasing and holding on to it or trading it in for another newer Silverado. About 2 months ago my husbands driver door was not always unlocking when pressing the key button. He would need to press the button over and over before it would finally unlock. It now wont unlock at all! In order to get into his car he has to go to another door, unlock it, and crawl through the truck to open his door. About 2 weeks ago one of the other passenger doors has now started to have similar issues as well. When we took the truck into Ferman Chevrolet of Tampa on January 24th to be serviced they claim there is no known issues and it will be $1018 to repair. When researching online there are numerous complaints about Chevy trucks having this same issue but Chevy refuses to acknowledge it is a problem. I have called customer service and been given a " SR Advisor" who is always unavailable and not one else is able to help me. After speaking with another representative theyadmitted that there is a note on the account that Chevy will supposedly assist with $250 toward the $1018 to repair but that I still must go through the conviently unvailable Advisor department to get this assistance. This is not acceptable! You know the vehicles are having this problem and you refuse to fix the issue! Both my husband and my vehicles were going to be traded in toward new GM products but without the company willing to fix issues with their vehicles I will no longer be purchasing/leasing any more of their products. Our previous Camaro, Acadia, my new Acadia should all be documented as proof of our loyalty to the company with someone from there willing to correct this issue and do what is right for the customer. I have a hard time being willing to pay for an issue that is posted all over complaint boards and seems to be reoccurring. If I pay for these 2 locks to be repaired then what happens when the other 2 locks no longer want to work? Am I going to be responsible for another $1000 to fix these as well? Both of our leases are up in June and July and this will be when we will have to change our loyalty over to another brand that is willing to stand behind its products and do right for loyal customers unless the company is willing to repair the door locks.
general motors closing plants
re: closing of manufacturing plants in US & Canada (also $ loss on GM stock )
I plan to buy Toyota, ford or dodge after a lifetime of GM Cars. 2 vehicles in the next 1 - 3 years
I have driven GM products all of my life I purchased a new Yukon in 2003, my wife purchase a new 2015 sierra LT even though she incurred a $ 7, 000 loss on yGM stock when gm declared bankruptcy and the government & tax payers saved GM
at this time we both plan to buy new vehicles in 1 - 2 years . due to GM decision to close plants in the US and Canada I may decide to go with a Toyota, dodge or ford truck. I will try to influence my wife to do the same.
I hope GM chokes on their financial losses after closing manufacturing facilities in the US and Canada. the tax payers saved GM's [censored] .

2009 chevy silverado 1500 crew cab 4x4 pickup values and lifters.
This has been on going problem, since I bought this truck brand new. In 2009. 2013 new lifters and gasket and seal's were put in. I have had 2 time's now the same problem with lifter no7, to were the seal is letting oil though the piston, and no want to fix it, they say it's not a warranty problem so my warranty doesn't want to cover the problem either. I feel this motor should have been replaced after the 2nd time, it's truck I have never felt safe in taking a trip, never know what's going to happen with the engine. If some one could check in with this proble I would greatly appreciate it. It has also had a new camshaft put in also. Problems still seem's to persist.
