English Translation:
Dear Sir, Customer Service Manager,
I would like to thank Opel for the assistance provided to us about a month ago in repairing a manufacturing defect in the car. However, here is the latest development.
On Thursday, 19th September 2024, while I was driving on the highway, the car’s brakes suddenly stopped working. Can you imagine, sir, that I was driving without brakes and had to use the handbrake until I reached Mansour Automotive (Opel's authorized dealer in Egypt)? I cannot begin to describe the fear and terror my family and I experienced because of this issue. If it weren’t for God’s grace, we would likely have been dead by now. This was due to the severe negligence from the maintenance department at Mansour Automotive, Al-Amriya branch, Alexandria, Egypt. Upon arriving at the dealership, there was a burning smell coming from the front of the car.
Today, Sunday, 22nd September 2024, the engineer responsible for the repairs contacted me and explained the following:
1. The brake vacuum pump needs replacement, and it is not available at the dealership. The cost of replacement is between 14,000 to 15,000 Egyptian pounds.
2. After conducting an engine test, they found that cylinder No. 1 has weak compression, which might have affected something in the cylinder head of the engine (according to the responsible engineer).
3. Upon arriving at the dealership and after the engineers examined the car, they found that the hose connected to the water reservoir was not properly fixed and open, and that the air conditioning's freon cap was missing. (This happened about a month after receiving the car from Mansour Automotive.)
4. We received the car with the maintenance key symbol (🔧) illuminated on the dashboard. When we asked the maintenance engineer, he said there was no need to worry, and manually turned off the light. However, the symbol remained, which prompted us to ask if there was an unresolved issue with the car’s repair. According to the car manual, this light indicates that some repairs have not been completed. The responsible engineer assured us that there were no problems with the repair and there was no need to worry.
5. On the same day we received the car after it was repaired, just as we were leaving the dealership, the car broke down again. We called the responsible engineer, who came and checked the car. He said the car’s battery was dead and needed to be replaced. Can you imagine, sir, that we picked up the car from the dealership, believing that the maintenance department had checked everything, only to find that the battery wasn’t working? This demonstrates a lack of responsibility and accountability on the part of the maintenance staff. We had to buy a new battery for the car.
6. We also discovered that the freon cap for the air conditioning was missing, and the engineer said the dealership was not responsible for this.
Sir, my family’s lives were put at risk—again, I emphasize—due to the negligence in the previous repair. The responsible engineer still insists that they are not responsible for what happened and carelessly attributes our experience to fate and destiny, according to his words. What concerns this engineer the most is ensuring that the company is not held accountable for what happened to us.
Sir, can anyone reasonably believe that what happened to us less than a month after receiving the car from Mansour Automotive is a coincidence and that the dealership is not responsible? Do Opel's global customers' lives mean so little? The disregard for the lives of a whole family who almost died due to negligence in the previous repair is unfathomable.
Sir, I am still demanding that the company take full psychological and

Opel crossland x innovation car i
Hello
my name is Anelia
21/03/2021 I bought an OPEL CROSSLAND X innovation car in Israel.

tires 215/50Р 17 95Н
After 3 months I put the first patch in the tire repair shop.
Within two years I repeatedly contacted a tire repair shop to put another patch on the wheels.
On 07/31/2023, I had to change tires on all four wheels, because all four tires were constantly deflated and covered with small cracks.
I keep my car in the covered parking near the house.
In two years I drove only 18,000 kilometers.
I can’t believe that such a serious and well-known company as OPEL puts such low-quality disgusting tires on their new cars.
In my opinion I deserve compensation.

Opel Astra 2018
I bought Opel Astra 1.6L model 2018 in Cairo, Egypt (bought it in 2018 as the first owner). To date, the car drove only 70,000 km. All maintenance was done in an authorized repair shop by Mansour (Opel dealer in Egypt) all spare parts used are genuine as per the authorized repair shop information. In June 2023, the car entered the shop for scheduled maintenance, and the repair shop requested to open (dismantle) the engine to inspect an irregular acceleration issue. After opening the engine, the repair shop informed me that the Engine need a complete overhaul and asked for an expensive invoice for the overhaul works. I believe this should be a manufacturing defect since the car is only driven 70,000 km and strictly follow the maintenance timetable as per manufacturing manuals. I kindly seek to raise the subject to Opel and request to replace the engine with a new one at the cost of Opel

Urgent assistance required: severe air conditioning breakdown in new opel 2022 crossland
I am writing to express my extreme frustration and disappointment with the service we have received from our local Opel dealership regarding a critical issue with our recently purchased Opel 2022 Crossland. I hope that this email reaches the appropriate department or individual who can provide us with the assistance we desperately need.
To provide some context, my family and I purchased a brand new Opel 2022 Crossland from the Egypt Mansour dealer. We were excited to own a vehicle known for its quality and reliability, but our enthusiasm quickly turned into dismay. After just a month or two of ownership, the air conditioning system in the car suddenly broke down.
What adds insult to injury is the fact that the vehicle is still in pristine condition, with the protective wrap intact. We wasted no time in reaching out to the dealership to seek immediate resolution for this issue. However, despite our best efforts and numerous visits to the dealership, we have been met with a frustrating lack of transparency and action on their part.
The urgency of this matter cannot be emphasized enough, as we are currently enduring the scorching summer season, with temperatures rising to unbearable levels in a matter of weeks. We find ourselves in an incredibly uncomfortable and distressing situation, and it is unthinkable that a brand new vehicle would experience such a major malfunction so soon after purchase.
We have exhausted all avenues for resolution within the dealership, and it is evident that they are either unwilling or unable to provide us with a clear indication of when this issue will be resolved. Thus, we kindly request your intervention in escalating this matter to the global headquarters of Opel. We believe that with your influence and expertise, we can receive the assistance we need to rectify this situation promptly.
If this email does not reach the correct department or individual, we kindly request your guidance and provide us with the appropriate contact information. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated, as we are desperate for a resolution before the imminent arrival of the peak hot weather.
We trust in Opel's commitment to customer satisfaction and hope that our plea for help will be met with the attention it deserves. We eagerly await your prompt response and a swift resolution to this distressing issue.
I have attached the car license as a start. Let me know what documents you need and I will be glad to provide.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Abdelrahman Khaled

I have a persisting problem of consuming engine oil of my car Opel Grandland X wile still in warranty
my car had a persisting problem of consuming engine oil which opel Egypt have proposed that the engine would be dismantled to replace the piston rings which in their assessment would resolve the issue of engine oil continuous loss. I would bring the problem to a conclusion.
Let me at outset list the history of the issue along with the car data as follows:
1. The car owner name is: Dr. Magdy Abdel Aziz Abdel Khalek, an Egyptian national, holding national ID #: [protected].
2. Car owner contact details: Mobile phone number: [protected]. Address: Mivida Compound, South 90 street, Valleys 2, Villa 28, New Cairo, Egypt.
3. Car Brand/Model: Opel Grandland X. Production Year: 2020.
4. Car Chassis Number: 6008048. Car Motor Number: 2620082.
5. Month/Year of Purchase: March 2020.
6. All Car routine maintenances are timely undertaken by Opel Agent in Egypt (Mansour Co.).
7. On 1 June 2022, and at odometer reading of 43595 Km, the engine oil check light came on and started to experience engine oil loss where I had to visit your service center since then every approximately 2000 Km for an oil top-up. I was also asked by your professionals to monitor the engine oil check light closely and urgently report back to the service center immediately if it comes on.
8. Over the last 12 months and till date, the engine experienced the same problem 7 times, where each time I had to visit the service center, and service professionals made engine oil top-ups to compensate for the oil losses.
9. During my visit on 22 February 2023, I was advised by the service center professionals that the engine piston rings and oil seal would be replaced.
10. The above issue urged me to extend the car warranty for 2 years starting from 14 March, 2023, with the objective of maintaining my rights until the situation was fully resolved.
11. Along the history of the above issue, I was deprived from travelling with the car outside the city to avoid any damages to the car given the oil loss may happen at times where it would be difficult to top-up the oil, in addition to the inconvenience of such issue while travelling causing interruption to my daily personal and professional activities. You may imagine the amount of inconvenience driving a car requiring urgent oil top-ups at very short mileages. You may imagine the number of damages and inconveniences that happened to me during the past 12 months which included, but not limited to the following: extra car expenses, making unnecessary arrangements for other reliable travel options, consuming my time as a medical doctor to make many frequent visits to the service center whether for oil top-up or exhaustive discussions to resolve the issue, etc.
12. The offer by your service center in Egypt to replace the piston oil rings is not acceptable by me since such action is considered according to the local Egyptian market context as a partial engine overhaul which accordingly depreciate the car value in case of resale. In other words, why would you buy a car that has experienced such repair and at such short mileage, while anyone can buy the same car model which is operating normally and didn’t experience such issues in relation to partial overhauling (engine dismantling) due to manufacturing defect.
13. Despite the fact that other car makes and models doesn’t face such issues, I was advised by your service center that the car catalogue mentions such abnormal oil consumption. However, it should be noted that such abnormal potential issue should be highlighted during the car marketing phase, as the car catalogue is read after the car purchase. If I had been advised of this issue when the car was sold to me, my purchase decision would have definitely changed although I always admire and fully respect German car engineering.
14. According to the above, I had requested at least the replacement of the car engine to maintain my car value taking into consideration that a reasonable warranty for the defect that was resolved should be provided by Opel as a precautionary measure since the same problem may occur again anytime. You may agree that the situation goes beyond just repairing a car. Also, please note that in similar situations in Egypt were managed by Opel by changing the car engine bringing the issue to a satisfactory conclusion to the consumer.
Finally, I would like to thank you in advance very much for taking the time to look into the above issue and making the effort to resolve the situation at the satisfaction of the consumer.
With best regards.
Magdy Abdel Aziz, Phd, MD.

Opel grandland x timing belt
Dear All,
I am the owner of an Opel Grandaland X that I bought in 2019 at an authorized service center in Tuzla (Grandauto) Bosna and Hercegovina. The car is comprehensively insured and serviced at the same service center since the beginning, but still in 2021 in December and after 50,000 kilometers I had to change the timing belt. The belt was of course replaced in the mentioned service (supposedly original parts and certified mechanics replaced it) but in May 2022 I was informed again that the timing belt had to be replaced again and it caused additional damage and the cost of the repair was pretty high. The car traveled less than 20,000 kilometers between two timing belt replacements. I understand that the car is not under warranty, but I also find it hard to believe that this happens and that local dealers take it as the most normal thing. As a loyal driver of Opel vehicles for many years, I claim that this is not a normal thing and that Opel should at least participate in the costs. I hope you understand my concern because in less than a year and a half I have already had two serious breakdowns on a relatively new car. I hereby also express serious doubts about what kind of parts are installed during the service as well as the very expertise of the staff working in the aforementioned car dealership. Looking forward to your answer.
Regards
Armin

Opel GradnLandX
Dear Opel Team,
I am writing to bring to your attention an issue with my Opel car that has been ongoing for some time now. I have been experiencing high oil consumption in my car, with it consuming about 0.05 liters every 2000 KM. I first raised this concern when my car had 77000 KM, and it has persisted up to 91000 KM.
I have taken my car to the service center to have this issue looked into, but I was told that this level of oil consumption is normal. However, I believe that this is not the case, and that there is an underlying issue with my car that needs to be addressed.
I would like to request that you investigate this matter further and provide me with a satisfactory resolution to the problem. My car's VIN number is W0VZ45GY5JS272625, and I would appreciate it if you could get back to me as soon as possible regarding this matter.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to hearing back from you soon.
Sincerely,
Emad
Opel engine glow plug replacement
My car is an Opel/Vauxhall j 1.3 Tourer estate reg 12KY2982 and the Eng reg is YB12BBK. Why is it no garage or mechanic will attempt to change the glow plugs in this car. I do have a glow plug problem. Why is that most carpets of Opel Astras are always wet. My wife has an Astra too and like mine is leaking in water. No garage will touch that problem also. Opel corsa 2020
My 2020 Opel Corsa suddenly found electrical issues and the “electrical brain” of the car has to be changed as I’ve been told by the official Open center.
I live in Turkey and apparently this piece cannot be found in Turkey.
Ot takes 2 months to bring this piece from outside of the country and after waiting for 2 months, the bran new piece was apparently faulty as well and could not be installed on the car.
So, now I have to wait yet another 2 months for another brand new piece which again can be faulty to be shipped from France.
GARANTY REPAITING OF a New Opel E-Combo
Hello, my name is Dmytro.
In august 2022 we bought a New Opel E-Combo, electric VINW0VEAZKXZMJ797478 in Germany via official diller (Auto-Thielmann Gmbh 3729+VR, Ernzen). After a run of 1600km, the traction battery failed. The battery needs to be replaced. On the 16 of November the car was delivered to Opel service in Krosno, Poland for check and assistance. They confirmed that the battery needs to be replaced and asked to wait until the new battery will be delivered to Poland.
But time passed and no actions were made to change the battery and we don't understand how to influence and speed up the process.
I would appreciate it if You could help us solve this problem!

Replacement of the steering column
Hi there,
I emailed the below email to the Customer Care Team in Dublin, Ireland, regarding a replacement of the steering column in my Opel Astra. However they have not acknowledged my email nor responded to it. So I am making a formal complaint in relation to their handling of my query and also to the outcome of my query. Please see below email for your attention. I would really appreciate your assistance with this matter.

Hi there,
I would like to request a goodwill contribution towards a new steering wheel column.
I have been a customer of John Kelly Motors in Waterford for many years now. I am on my third Opel Insignia and l find them a great car. My wife is on her second Opel and also loves them. However I recently brought my wife’s Opel Astra for the NCT and it failed as there was movement in the steering wheel. I brought it into John Kelly’s Motors and they informed me that the Steering Column will need to be replaced. I was extremely disappointed as I have never had any major issues with the Opel’s before. I have both cars serviced regularly with Opel and no major issues were ever highlighted. The Opel Astra is a 161W2533 with 44,356km on the clock. It is only used for town driving and has never been in any accident.
I rang your customer services office and spoke with a Keith. He informed me that it is up to the Opel Garage to ask for this contribution. I informed the garage and they informed me that they were given a 15% discount which will amount to about 58 euro. I rang Keith back to say that I was disappointed with the amount being offered and was there anything he could do, or someone else I could speak to. He informed me that there was nothing he can do and no one else I can speak to, as he was the customer service department.
I feel that as a loyal customer from many years that I would be much appreciated if there was a better contribution from Opel to help me cover some of the cost of the replacement.
Regards,
Fred

Grand land
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am an owner of a 2019 Opel GrandLand in Egypt. I bought Opel because I had great trust in German engineering and a well recognized name that is synonymous with quality and reliability.
I have been taking the car for manufacturing recommended maintenance at Mansour car company, the official authorized dealer in Egypt.
The car started showing the check engine oil sign at 45K, which I took immediately to the dealer. They checked the engine and added oil and said the engine is efficient. The same thing happened at 50K they repeated the same and added that the oil leak is quiet common in Opel turbo motors, again I believed them and took the car and left. They even showed me a picture of some document that referenced that.
The same thing happened at 60K, 65K, they even had to tow the car 500KiloM to bring it to the dealer in Alexandria.
So the pattern is that it would happen about 4-5 K after the maintenance. I told them that clearly, I even went before I went on a trip to ask if it was ok to drive. They said that it was ok.
The above was repeated again after the 70K maintenance, as the check engine oil appeared after 4500km from the maintenance and again I went to the mentioned dealer, but this time they told me that the engine needs to be replaced for a total amount of 120,000 Egyptian pounds and I will have to pay 75,000EGP.
In summary the dealer knew about the issue at least 5 times while the car is under warranty. They only admitted to the issue after the warranty ended. I am hoping that they did not do that with bad intentions. Even if they do not care about their name and their own brand, Opel should not allow such behavior to tarnish its name.
As an Opel loyal customer I did follow all the recommendations to maintain my car. I fulfilled my obligations and I ask that Opel would do the same stand behind its name and products. That was the only reason why I bought Opel to start with.
Thanks for your time and help in this urgent matter. I would wait for your response to resolve this issue fairly.
Best Regards

Insignia - peeling paint on the roof
Dear Opel customer service,
We are contacting you with a request to resolve the complaint of the vehicle with VIN number W0VZT6EG5J1049770. The owner of the vehicle is a company of which I am the executive director. I am very dissatisfied with the attitude of our local Opel dealer. That is why I am contacting you directly. The solution to our problem did not go at all as it should have. I'll explain the whole thing below.
A few weeks ago, we noticed peeling paint on the roof of the vehicle in the gutter where the roof rack mount is normally located. Of course, I also have photos of this place. It is the same situation on both sides. You can see the aesthetically unpleasant white color that shines through. We happened to pass the same car the other day. It was in a public parking lot. I believe it was from the same series because it looked exactly the same. Same color, same equipment, even the wheels were the same as ours. I thought I'd check the peeling spot in the gutter. I was surprised to find the same problem. This proves that this is a manufacturing defect that appears on several vehicles.
Please contact me regarding this matter. It is not the first, and I hoped not the last, car from your company. But now I'm starting to question the quality of your products. Our company owns several cars and we have not encountered a similar problem with any brand. It casts a very bad light on Opel. I am sure you will find a solution for such a situation and earn our trust. I would hate for your company's flagship to fall into the gray average of weaker car classes.
Please contact me as soon as possible.
Your customer
Peter Chlup

Opel Crossland model 2022
I am writing to issue a formal complaint about my Opel Crossland car. I bought it in Egypt few months ago.
Apparently there is a big issues with the Opel cars that get shipped to Egypt.
The service and the defects we hear in brand new cars don’t reflect the expectations of a prestigious brand name like Opel.
The car has only been driven for 3000 kilometers, it hasn’t even been to the maintenance centre for the first fuel change!
Surprisingly, on August 1st the car displayed an Engine fault/ stop the vehicle message.
We called the service centre & they sent to collect the car. We were surprised that they got back to us saying the car needs a new gearbox!
This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable for a brand new car that has been barely used.
Important Data:
Vehicle: Opel Crossland model 2022.
Date of Purchase: January 2022
Mileage (at time of error): 3000 Kilometers
Motor: 1835990
VIN No: 4100754
Desired outcome: We would like to refund the car or atleast get a new one.
Crossland X
To whom it may concern in Opel HQ,
I'm writing this email to complain about a malfunction in my Opel Crossland x motor.
Model:2018
chassis number: 4269900
Motor Number : 32059
During my scheduled maintenances at Opel Mansour (Alamreya Branch, Alexandria, Egypt) and specifically starting from 15,000-20,000 KM maintenances, just a few days after I've done my maintenance which included replacing the oil at Opel Mansour (Opel service provider in Egypt). The car gave me an " Oil level low" indicator so I headed back to the Service provider and their reply was that "its a programming error and we fixed it".
Later, the problem kept on taking place to the extent that the Vehicle started showing me the Engine fault sign, and their response was the same. Until the first scheduled maintenance just right after my 3 years warranty was done and then suddenly they asked me to change the oil pump to fix this problem.
A month later, the same error happened again and engine fault sign showed up on my dashboard, so I went there again and they were like its just a programming error nothing more, we will fix it and suddenly I saw white fumes coming out of my car and they came and clearly said you need a new engine and they stated clearly that "this is a Production defect in the Vehicle's motor" and that they shall take care of it!
After negotiations with them, they came with a proposal that they will make me 55,000 EGP of the 120,000 EGP engine price. Though I'm not intending to pay them anything cause I've reported this defect during my warranty period and as well the engine was ruined at their maintenance center with their people trying to manipulate the error and me, and just turn off the alerts at any cost!
A Crossland X Model of 2018, only used inside the city, 47,000KM mileage and no accidents and I'm asked to pay for an engine! As well, taking into consideration that I've done all my required maintenances on time at Mansour Opel (the Authorized Service Provider). This is damaging to Opel's reputation by all means; Mansour Opel is quite a dangerous threat for Opel in Egypt as they for some odd reasons falsely diagnose the cars during the warranty period in order to gain profit later on from a situation like mine! This is unacceptable and i believe it would be unacceptable to you as well. Additionally, during the last period (2 weeks) I wasn't even offered a replacement car till I agree on their terms and pay, and as well they refused to provide me with a replacement car when they kept the vehicle for two weeks to fix the oil pump. this reveals the drastically low quality customer service they are providing.
So I hereby would like to ask Opel to take the necessary actions towards Opel Mansour Egypt and make them fix my car perfectly at their own cost, as It makes no sense to buy a whole new engine for a car after three years of a below average usage rate !
Thank you for your cooperation, looking forward to hearing from you soon !
Regards,
Engy Khaled
Desired outcome: Opel to take the necessary actions towards Opel Mansour Egypt and make them fix my car perfectly at their own cost.
