service department at blasius chevrolet - waterbury ct
I purchased a 2014 Chevrolet Suburban on January 5, 2017 from Blasius Chevrolet in Waterbury, CT. The rear defroster cord was detached from the rear window. It was written up as a "We Owe". We have brought this vehicle to Blasius 4 times for an oil change/tire rotation/multi-point inspection. Each time that I scheduled the appointment, I requested that the rear defroster cord be fixed. Blasius has not fixed the rear defroster and the last time (1/28/19) told me that the "We Owe" has expired and now I must pay for the repair.
I want the rear defroster fixed by Blasius as promised.
Thank you,
Dennis Colombie

2014 chevy impala dangerous results from poor engineering/design
On 1/25/2019 I was driving my 2014 Chevy Impala 2G1155S3XE9160970 over the "Zilwaukee bridge" on snow covered roads with some slick spots with no precipitation but driving was still treacherous. There was no place to pull over for refuge. Suddenly every single warning light came on, the doors kept locking and unlocking, the heater kept turning on and off, all of the lights were flashing, and most importantly and most frightening - an alert popped up (one of many as they were all popping up) power steering is not working (as I was sandwiched between 2 semi's at the top of a very tall bridge). All I could do is pray. Suddenly after finally coming to an exit all of the lights stopped. I considered it a fluke. I work for hospice and continued my drive into the rural areas I had on my schedule for patient visits. All seemed fine. Until I was in the middle of farm fields and it happened again and then again. I kept telling myself it was the cold weather and finished my day and didn't drive the vehicle for the weekend. I made an appointment and dropped my vehicle off at Serra first thing Monday morning - 4200 Bay Road, Saginaw, MI 48603. Michigan Repair Facility # F167648 - F167647. There was also a light on my drivers side mirror by the way when I dropped it off. I called to check on my car because I needed my car for work and when I dropped it off they had told me I should be able to pick it up in the afternoon. I need my car for work! Missing hospice visits as a result of this! They wouldn't let me take my car because the mechanic said it was a SAFETY HAZZARD and they couldn't get the parts until the next day. Bottom line is that the mechanic said that the vehicle is poorly designed and that is the CAUSE OF THE ISSUE! $1238.82 for 2 small modules and wiring that are located in the rear bumper and exposed to the elements. My car is washed regularly and kept in the garage. He showed me the parts! The one module was extremely corroded with blue junk on it and 2 pins missing - he said that it spread to the wiring and faulted out the other 343.00 module and the issue spread through the entire electronic system making ALL of the electronics short out and that I could have potentially lost all power and crashed the vehicle! This is ridiculous! You need to recall this part asap. I had to spend $1238.82 for replacing all of these simple little parts. When they told me how much it was I thought I was getting a whole new computer system. What is going to happen next? I will take this further if I need to because this is unacceptable. The mechanic told me that he has this happen repeatedly with this vehicle due completely to poor design I am very disappointed. I had an impala before this one and didn't have this issue at all - I don't need that feature if it is going to keep breaking - never had it before. I have peripheral vision and can use my mirrors instead of having the car tell me that there is a line in the road or a mail box. It is just stupid. People are supposed to use their mirrors any ways. Please give me a refund. I can send you a receipt. I would also like that item taken off of my car at your expense so it doesn't short out again.
ac condenser on a 2014 gmc serria 1500 z71
I bought a 2014 Serria 1500 new with 200 miles. In 2016 at 113, 000 miles took truck in to All Star Pontiac in Sulphur, Louisiana. They changed out every single AC part on my truck in order to get it fixed and 2300.00 dollars later I was able to have cold AC. Now 2 years / 35000 miles later the AC condenser is leaking and want me to pay 678.00 dollars to fix it. Called GM and they want do a thing about recalling the AC condensers, which is total B--- S---!. I feel like any New OEM part should last longer than 35000 miles. You can bet one thing I will never buy a GM vehicle in my life again. WE hard working people buy these 50000.00 dollar vehicles and GM does not do a thing to help us. The Americans need to stop buying GM products and let them move...
part replacement of same part within 10 months
In feb 2018 I took my car to a local reputable mechanic and had a part replaced.in dec 2018 my car was not running very well and check engine light was on again. This time I took my vehicle to my local chevy dealer because it was closer, and I was afraid to drive my vehicle any further. The dealership ran a diagnostic test on my vehicle, and among other issues, the same part I had paid to have replaced in feb, needed to be replaced again. Even after explaining this to the rep I was dealing with, the part was replaced. Again!
When I inquired as to why this part was not warrantied, I was told I would have to research and resolve the warranty issue myself.
I then contacted gm customer service and after 3 phone calls, including speaking to a supervisor, I was told there was nothing gm could do to help with this warrany issue.
I think this is ridiculous! Why would gm not warranty work done? Any reasonably thinking person would see that replacing the same part within 10 months would be excessive.
Please feel free to contact me regarding this matter.
Sincerely,
Debra caporale

I own a 2014 silverado [protected] miles
It is in the shop getting a new transmission. I was told it needs new transmission lines because they are leaking at a cost of $300 . I looked on line and found a recall on them but found out my vin # is not covered. It said if the oil hits a hot surface it could start on fire. I'm wondering why it don't matter if my family burns up in a fire but it matters to you if other families do matter to you. They also told me it needs a new radiator at $1200 they said it is common in the 2014 . I bought a new truck because I wanted to have no problems and a warranty Incase something did happen. I have owned Chevy my whole life and always proud to be a Chevy man .I probably won't buy Chevy again

Rear Hatch Liftgate has rust spots before 6 months from (New) vehicle purchase
This vehicle Was Purchase Cash ( New Vehicle not Demo ), It is a Premier Edition, 2.0 L Turbo model AWD .
You should have resolved the rust issue on rear liftgate by now. This was an issue with a 2010 Equinox I previously owned. Back draft causes the liftgate to undergo extreme environmental duress . So You should have extra coated ( protected ) this area. Also rust appears to be spots due to weld points or is started at rear liftgate stamping process.
The electronic Digital Display problem is not encouraging at all.

hi, I have a silverado with a leaking roof. I've spent a while troubleshooting it and found 2 to 3 possible problems. I contacted chevy and they said it would be $130 just to drop it off. They could not give me an estimate to fix or even an estimate to troubleshoot the problem. From the information i have gathered it has been a problem since 2014 and is still a problem on current models. That proves that it is a design flaw and nothing is being done to fix the problem. Even on current models. I don't think i should be charged this kind of money to have something fixed that was not done properly in the first place and is currently still not being done properly. Chevy told me it was case by case and would not give me an estimate for a problem that has been going on for years. How do they not know even a price range because countless people are having this same problem. Just google chevy silverado roof leak and see what comes up.
general motors management
It sickens me to see that there are still people who think that their skin color makes them better than other people. In 2019.
Even more disgusting is a corporate entity that tolerates racist behavior in the workplace.
I purchased a 2019 Equinox in December 2018. I am pleased with the dealership and the vehicle.
Had I been aware of the multiple racist incidents that occurred (and are occurring) at GM's Toledo plant, I would never have even considered purchasing a GM product. GM management's lack of leadership in Toledo indicates an even larger institutional shortcoming. GM has yet to publicly address a remedy to the Toledo White Supremacist incidents.
It embarrasses me that I own and operate a GM product. GM's inaction following threatening notes and nooses in the workplace is a cancer that will ultimately destroy the company.
Pay attention, GM. It's time you remember what really makes this country great.
inside door handle on drivers side
The handle on the drivers side door, broken pieces of plastic kept falling out of handle and eventually all support for the handle feel out so that you couldn't grab the handle to close the door. I had to go to a local body shop and order a whole inside door panel to replace it. It was ridiculous how you had to replace the whole door panel instead of just the handle and it's very expensive. I've heard numerous reports of this happening to your vehicles and it's a design flaw that y'all refuse to fix or even have a recall on. I own a 2013 GMC Yukon . This happened about 2 years ago and was hoping for y'all to put a recall out but you haven't. I love gmc vehicles but this problem has made me think twice about purchasing another vehicle from you.
Probably because their workers are to busy hooking up with other homewrecking co workers .
complaint against chevrolet lebanon services
Dear Mr.,
I am writing to your goodselves from Lebanon. I am Rabih El Cheikh Ali, owner of a Chevrolet Captiva, 2008 petrol model (VIN: KL1DC53FX8B254070 and Engine no. 051622).
The car was purchased brand new from the local IMPEX dealer. Everything was normal and the technical control was always done in the house of the Chevrolet.
Since July 2018, my car turned off while driving, and when I want to restart the car after it was parked, the starter works but the engine does not turn on. All this without any ignition on the dashboard.
After several visits to the garage of Chevrolet during which several repair tests were conducted; they changed the air filter, the box of the air filter, the cranck sensor, and by testing the fuel pump, the plugs, the battery, etcccc and of course I always pay the bills but still without vain...
In November 2018, they told me that they should change the ECM/ECU, sure problem of the car, but they need at least 2 weeks to import it from abroad.
At that time, I refused and I wanted to get the car especially that I no longer trust their professionalism but the surprise was that they wanted to deliver the car and the indicators of Fuel gauges, check engine and park sensor are all lit on the dashboard and they do not work. I wanted to talk to the director and explain what's going on, but they told me he's busy all the time and he's delegated another person to answer me saying it's all because of the ECM that I have to change and that costs $1800.
Meanwhile, I contacted General Motors Middle East Customer Communications Center who told me, after their discussion with Chevrolet Lebanon, that once the ECU changed, they guarantee to deliver the car without any problem and covering the problems set out above. I was obliged to agree by depositing a down payment by the first of December 2018 when they promised me to deliver the car after 2 weeks max.
At the beginning of January 2019 (one month after), they contacted me again to explain to me that they examined the reason for which the ECU was gone off and they have to change also the electric accelerator pedal which cost also $600.
Today, after 15 days again, they told me that the car is ready and they changed the fuel pump sensor also that they considered that it was the reason of the problem.
I have been a devoted customer of your reputed company for years and this is how Chevrolet Lebanon treat the customers (8 months my car is at the garage to repair same problem but with more and more mistakes, less and less professionalism and big and big bills - and now I am not sure it is or will be solved).
Now, the car still at IMPEX (your representative dealer in Lebanon) and I refused absolutely to take it back looking forward to your reply/opinion to resolve the problem and find a resolution hoping you will take my complaint seriously.
N.B: All my phone conversations with your regional/Middle east customer services are supposed to be registered if you want to be sure of my words.
Sincerely yours
excessive oil consumption
I drove my daughter-in-laws 2013 GMC Terrain 15 miles to the dealership at Blaise Alexander in Muncy Pennsylvania after checking the oil level which was full. After arriving at the dealership I was told it was 3 quarts low and it needed a timing chain. The GMC terrain in question has approximately 82.000 miles on it . If this vehicle used 3 quarts of oil on a 15 mile trip I would like to know how replacing the timing chain is going to take care of the excessive oil consumption problem. From what I read on the internet the 2.4 liter ecotec motors that were manufactured in 2012 and 2013 were built with defective piston Rings which allow the oil to blow by. If this is the case why wasn't a recall issued for this problem. And why is the dealership charging for a Timing chain when the engine uses excessive amounts of oil. I don't think the timing chain is the problem other then excessive wear on the timing chain guides due to the lack of oil which was GMC's problem in the first place. I have owned gm cars and trucks all my life if I don't get a fair and equitable solution to this problem I will no longer purchase anything from Blaise Alexander or any other General Motors Dealership ever again. Thank you for your time.

Started having brake problems on my 2015 GMC Denali 3500HD in May 2018. Service suggested having brake lines because after 3 years they can build up mositure and cause a spongy/sluggish brake pedal. I paid for service which improved pedal 7 to 10 days, since then they have returned to spongy pedal. Local dealer says nothing wrong but I have to pump pedal to stop vehicle. I have had it I for problem 4 or 5 times. Most of time all they would do is connect computer stating that nothing is wrong because no code showing. Talk with service manager, he drove truck he even said pedal was easy/slow to react but nothing is wrong. My truck has NEVER had a pedal like this and I have owned it since it was new. Need help on getting my truck fixed. I pull a fifth wheel camper and this is causing a safety issue. Please help
exterior body paint on new truck is defective
Purchased a 2018 Silverado 2500HD High Country 7/18. In Dec noticed white spots appearing all over the exterior paint. Paint is peeling and flaking off down to the metal. Internet searches reveal this is an ongoing issue with Chevy paint https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/204856-paint-issue-for-2017-silverado/. This is unacceptable and not what I expect after paying $70K for a truck that still isn't due for its first oil change I want the truck replaced.
2010 engine/transmission problems
I purchased a used 2010 Chevy Equinox on 11/27/2016. It was presented to be as a vehicle that had warranty work that needed to be done and was turned into the dealership at a low price. The car at the time had around 63K miles at the time. The work was completed and we brought the car. Was told that basically the top of the engine was replaced. Not knowing the extent of the history of the car I did purchase the extended warranty. Since purchasing the car over the last 2 years, I have done a valve cover gasket replacement 3 times, Manifold replacement, piston and rings as well as several other minor things. The piston and rings went in Dec 3 2018 for service. After we received the car back, it felt that the transmission was reving up higher than it did in the past and I was told it was fine. On Dec 27th, 2018 my transmission went in the car. I was told that it is the 3rd, 5th and R plate that was cracked and needs to be replaced and it was $5500 to fix it. It now has 105k miles. I love my car, but I don't understand how a car can have this many issues. I have never had a car with such problems. I don't know what to do at this time, the amount of work that needs to be done on this car has been extraordinary. Please advise
buick envision 2016
My car console panel lights do not work properly and it is NOT SAFE.
I deep more research it looks like an existing issue with all [protected] envisions. It wasn't a recall but an announcement for repair, which does not come up in regards to recalls. Which they made an announcement for repair on May 11th, 2017. So Buick knows there is an issue, and they should have fixed it. See the links below. From reading the issue seems to be that there is a day/night sensor that adjusts the screen brightness and as you are driving, if a shadow briefly hits sensor then the panel dims.
