david chevrolet, niagara falls, ny
After my wife purchased an Equinox on December 18, 2018, we referred my daughter Lindsay to Al Bax. Al is a lifelong friend of mine since high school and thought we could trust him. Actually, that's the only reason we came back to David Chevrolet, we had a not so pleasant experience with our previous lease at your dealership. However, we trusted Al and he...

I just bought a new 2018 Chevrolet Silverado LT 2 weeks ago check engine light came on at 400 miles I called on star and I was told transmission not performing correctly . So I take it to the dealership they tell me needs a sensor it will be ready next week. Brand new $50, 000 truck and cant even drive it . It's a brand new truck already having problems. needless to say I am not very happy with Chevrolet.
gap refund from gm dealership
I bought a new 2018 1500 sierra pickup April 2019 from Wiesner GMC in Conroe Texas. I traded in a 2017 Yukon XL with gap insurance ( I also purchased from same dealership) The dealership never cancelled my gap insurance even though I asked on 2 occasions. I cancelled it and Partners Alliance (the company the dealership uses for gap) sent the refund on Nov...
Read full review of General MotorsI received a threatening text from one of the sales tech due to a poor survey I sent.
I had my GMC services on Nov 12th of last month for Transmission fluid change. When I got my email asking how my service was from your corp office I did not give a great review. Have been a client of Ed Morris Sawgrass for over 5 years. Had my Grand Sport Vette serviced there from 2013 and now with my GMC 1500.
At 2:27 PM Nov 12th I got a strange and threating text from a number [protected]) I did not know. it was "Hello Wayne" with the eye balls moji that means someone is look and watching you.
I replied who is this?
Reply was "you want some cheese for that whinnne...?
Crybaby... no nutts
I replied"I like nuts Seems u do too". I still did not know who this was.
his reply then was"nope. I like women but [censored] women like yourself.
Take your truck and shove it up your [censored]"
So now this text came from someone who has my cell number, knows I just got serviced and knows I have a truck.
This text was sent to me less than 2 hours after you sent my service comments to Ed Morris GMC in Sawgrass Florida.
I went to see Mike Byrne Operations Manager and the service Manager prior to seeing Mike. the service tech that I believe sent this text to me is Wayne Quick that works there. Mike said there is nothing that he can do for me and said he spoke to Wayne who said he did not send this. This phone is from the area of his home town (Kentucky) and is not under a contract but paid monthly is what my PI told me. My wife is very concerned of hers and my saftey that Wayne knows our address of our home which is less than 2 miles from Ed Morris.
my cell phone is [protected] and if you would like to contact me before I go to the Policy department to report your employees are threating me and my family would be great. If you do not want to contact me, please know that our local TV stations will have a copy of my police report and I will be posting reviews every month for the next 2 years that GMC does not care that their dealerships has employee's who threaten clients to send in bad service reports.
Mike did confirm that he talked to Wayne Quick after you sent my review that day and shortly after I got these texts. Sorry I do not think this was random and had to be Wayne as he is the only person who knows I was not happy with my service, has my cell in his computer and knows I have a truck.
Hope you all care enough to contact me.
van frame rot
I bought new a 2003 chevy express 2500HD. My mechanic puuled off the gas tank to find that the frame and crossmemebers above the tank are rotted out making the van worthless and dangerous to drive since it could break at any time. I did some online research and found that this is a serious problem with GM truck frames for certain years. Someone will be killed because of this inferior design and lack of callback by GM.

recall repair
I own a 2013 equinox with 103, 000 miles and less than 10 years old. According to dealership I need a rear main seal replaced which according to Service bulletin No. 14882, there is a PVC system issue that can cause increased crankcase pressure during cold conditions leading to a crankshaft seal oil leak. Dealership says it will cost around $1800.00 to fix. According to the bulletin 14882, page 8, , if vehicle less that 120, 000 miles, and les than 10 years old, the condition will be repaired at no charge to the owner. Is this correct? My vehicle meets all the requirements, and seal leaking. it also is making the clattering noise at times, usually in the early morning when the temperatures outside is lower. So, can I get this fixed at no cost at he dealership?
Thanks
chevy malibu, 2016
Replaced sensor For foot feed three times, two under warranty one at a cost of 290.00. Part is back ordered, so it makes me to believe this is a promblem not just for me but this make of car!
This is a safety concern, two times I was on the interstate when it goes from 65 to 10 mph very quick, power just shuts down! Warning light says reduced power, and believe me it does, with cars and semi i trucks surving to not hit you!
I also have a 2016 Chevy Malibu with the same problems- The part is on back ordered and the dealer in Kenner La Best Chevrolet will not helping me. I asked for a loaner/rental car, till they find the part for my car. I all hear from GM and Dealership is My Car is Out of Warranty, since my car have more than 60, 000. I do not have a car since 1/28/2019, no estimated time for parts and no help with GM or the dealer.
Is GM not making parts for cars? What is wrong with customer services, it does not exit anymore!
repair / inflated labor charge
Just returned from my local Chevy dealer. My 2012 Chevy sonic has a very minor oil leak at the oil pan due to a bad gasket. I had diagnosed the problem beforehand and taken it in for repairs. I also had gone online and found that the new replacement gasket cost is $13.24. After a two and a half hour wait I was informed that is was indeed the gasket. I was already aware of this fact! I am an Aircraft engine mechanic and deal with these repair issues on a daily basis. Due to the type of bolts used to secure the oil pan I could not make the repair myself. This being said, I was informed the replacement/repair total would be $411.00. I was told it was due to the labor time to scrape the old RTV adhesive from the oil pan cover. This is Absolute nonsense. I perform this exact same repair constantly on military jet fighters using the same gasket adhesive ( RTV sealant ). 20 to 30 minutes tops is about routine in order to accomplish this task, unless your mechanic is using a toothpick to scrape with! This vehicle was purchased certified used and I bought it in 2015. It has nickled and dimed me constantly and been in for repairs more than any other vehicle I've ever owned. Same dealer as today just replaced the water pump and thermostat housing 6 weeks ago. Now this! My question is how in the world a $397.00 labor charge could be imposed on such a minor repair that requires no engine tear down whatsoever. Absolutely Ridiculous. Maybe you can offer an explanation to this issue, but honestly I don't see how anyone could justify these labor charges! I Will remember these ongoing problems with this vehicle when it comes time to make a new car purchase in the future and avoid GM vehicles all together.
2011 buick enclave,3.6 timing chain replacement at 61,000 kil. cost almost 4,000.00 at dealer.
Engine light came on. Brought to dealer. They told us it was timing chain fault and had to be replaced. This vehicle was taken care of beyond belief. Oil change every 3000 miles. Engine cleaned and detailed every wash. This is an ongoing problem that G.M. knows all to well with hundreds and hundreds of vehicles at all different years and mileages. But the excuse is, oh sorry it's just past warranty. Pay almost 4000.00 to fix it at just 61, 000 kil. We are retired. We have a total of 60 years working for General Motors together and thankful for that. This is a major engineering mess of a design that they are making their customers pay for. NEVER AGAIN. GOODBYE G.M.
2018 colorado
There has been transmission shutter from day 1. We have had the truck in the shop twice for this problem. The first time the transmission was flushed and new fluid was put in the transmission. This helped for a short time. The next time the torque converter was replaced . We are planning on trying to get it fixed 1 more time. I am asking for someone to help us with this problem. This not an isolated problem. There are many other people in the same place that we are. We bought the truck at Dutch's Chevy in My Sterling Ky, they been very helpful but they are limited by GM. The vin # is 1gcgtden4j1110000. This truck has been a bother to me; tell me what to do. I previously spoke by phone to a General Motors representative. At this time I do not recall her name. However, she did assure me that GM stood behind their products and that the problem with my truck would be corrected. Please advise me what my next step should be. The problem seems to worsen daily.
I feel your pain brother, I leased my 2017 Colorado 9/8/17, started trying to get bugs in "Infotainment System" taken care of. It's in the shop now for the same sudder you described your truck does. They have replaced the torque converter, but are blaming my Galaxy S9 for the bluetooth issues? That's funny, it works fine with the four loaners they have given me when I take it in, and fine in the other two vehicles it is linked to! The heater doesn't work worth a damn, runs 10 minutes in the morning, I got a basketball size hole in the frost to see through to drive! Tech says everything check to specs... [censored]! Good luck with yours, I think since mine was built in Wentzville, Missouri, It was staged on the coast of Texas for transport when Katrina rolled in. They fished the thing out of deep water, let it drip dry, trucked it to Wichita Falls, Texas and I was the lucky SOB to lease it, as it has numerous electrical issues!
gm card
I have been using your card for about 30 years, I have been using the card for the mi. Lotto website for the past two years, no problems until now, beginning in sep. Of this year capital one that service your has been refusing my use of the card on mi lotto site. Because it says its gambling, they are imposing their beliefs on the use of your card, what is next? I ask for your connect info, the supervisor said they are gm for all concerns. I hope you look into this, I buy my lotto's on line so I do not have to drive to the store I do not have a problem with gambling! I pay my bills on time, I am thinking about getting rid of the card because of capital one, thank you for your time felix fulicea,
pcm/bcm software updates
Six month after my wife and I purchased a 2015 use Malibu with 12000 mi., we started to have problems with the steering locking up at the 12 o'clock position. I took it in to a approved technician to have it checked. The informed me that the PCM/BCM software needed to be updated. I had them perform the job and that took care of the problem. It cost me $165.00 for this procedure. I strongly feel that GMC should reimburse me for this very critical problem which could have caused a major accident. This could prevent a law suit because a recall should have been made for this problem.
Please contact me asap.

dealership fake ad (bait and switch)
I am a very loyal GM customer and have been for years. This is the first time I have encountered this with any of your dealerships. So on December 16, 2018 I traveled from my home in West Michigan area to a dealership of yours in Fenton, Michigan to Randy Wise GMC Dealership based on an advertising of a GMC Sierra 3500 Denali truck available for sale. I drove over two hours to the dealership and upon arrival I met with a sales representative at the dealership. I inquired about this vehicle and he told me that he had two trucks available and this was not one of them. I again asked about the vehicle and said it is clearly advertised on their web page. He told me that it wasn't at their dealership but on its way there. I continued my conversation with him about this particular vehicle. He then stated "Oh that one well that is a vehicle that is already spoken for" and tried to direct me to another different vehicle for more money. Now I am quite aware of this tactic being completely illegal here in our state. I have taken the time to capture the advertising. So I am asking that you contact me as to your proposal to resolve this matter. I do expect a relatively rapid reply to this horrible illegal tactic by this dealership. I am very disappointed in having wasted four plus hours of my time and frankly being cheated out of the advertised deal. All I really wanted was this vehicle at the advertised price which I believe I am entitled to. I may be contacted at my cell phone [protected] or by email al.[protected]@frontier.com This behavior and action should not occur and is reprehensible by any dealership. If I do not hear from you in regards to this I will forward my complaint to our attorney general's office, better business bureau along with other action I may deem appropriate. I would prefer not to do this but to simple be a satisfied GM buyer by getting the vehicle I saw in the advertisement. Thank you in advance.

2014 captiva ltz, 45,000 miles, massive radiator failure!
Had to take vehicle in for front brake repair. 45, 000 miles and rotors are junk...$550 to replace pads and rotors. Original equipment rotor so thin can't even turn them once. Wife had mentioned that she could smell coolant during drive to shop. Mechanic notices coolant leak from side seam of radiator. Estimate for repair was $780! I stopped at repair shop to see repair progress and when myself and the service manager looked at the removed radiator we noticed how the top and bottom of radiator were blown out of shape. I have worked on vehicles and jet aircraft for over 40yrs and have never seen a radiator this bad come out of a family vehicle! Have shown photos to a few other service managers, dealer and non-dealer, and none of them have seen one this bad. Real kicker is dealer wanted $630 for new radiator, my NAPA service center got exact same radiator (box had same GM label and part number as dealers) for $345, why do dealers screw us on parts? Anyways total bill was $750 and I wonder if this radiator will blow up at 90, 000 miles. Have driven GM since 1978 and have had original radiators that lasted over 300, 000 miles. I would really like to hear what GM has to say about the quality if their parts/products! Serious doubting if I will ever buy another GM again as it appears anything after the bailout is below standards and not worth the exorbitant prices we are charged.
plant closures in the united states
I happen to own a 2017 Malibu hybrid . I am proud to have purchased my cars from America manufacturers, and have supported them more since the bailout of general motors in 2009 . you would think that general motors would do everything In its power to keep that motivation intact. since your ceo mary barra has decided to close plants in America, I too have made a decision, to forego purchase of any general motors products in the future. if you cannot support the American worker then I cannot support your product. I will be purchasing a car in 2019 and your attitude has made me rethink the purchase . I will certainly not buy a general motors product.
do you remember the phrase GM is alive and Bin Laden is dead . well you sure do have a strange way of showing your gratitude.

To whom makes the Chevy trucks, why cant you bring back the square body with the straight front axle, with fill in the blank build sheet? If you did this and built 1000 trucks for each state, I bet you a cup of coffee they would sell, the selling cost for a plane 4x4 should be at 20, 000 dollars.I refuse to buy a new Chevy truck, due to I want a truck not a caddy on a 4x4 frame. If these options were there like back in the day, I would consider buying a Chevy, with the new 6.6l motor, hell yea! Please consider this. You will have more customers, even Ford lovers loved the Chevys square body straight axle 4x4s, no more layoffs, must be made in the USA, by Americans! Thanks.
2010 chevy traverse
I purchased a used 2010 chevy traverse from a gm dealer used in 2011.It has been an albatross around my neck since.
The service air bag light comes on and off intermittently .I have replaced all the shocks, rear upper control arms, front lower control arms. The water pump, power steering pump.
Idiot lights come on and off all the time. the service engine light came on and my mechanic tells me it is a stretched timing chain and would need $3000 to repair. This car cost me used $36000.How could it have this many problems at 130000 miles.
Guess what, I bought a camry and my next truck is going to be a Tacoma.
2011 silverado 1500 4wd ext. cab.
I started buying Chev. vehicles when I bought a new 1963 Chev. Impala. I have stayed with Chevy since buying only Chevy vehicles. I took to heart your slogan " The most dependable and longest lasting trucks on the road". Now not so sure. I bought a new 2011 Silverado 4wd. extended cab at Laria Chevrolet in Rittman, Ohio about Dec. 20, 2010. The first...

Took my 1996 corvette into a Chevrolet dealership for the following problems:
Coolant leak, car continues to unlock and lock itself, difficulty getting in reverse. (manual transmission).
After waiting all day in the lobby, I was told the following: Coolant was leaking from bottom radiator hose. I expected the dealership not to have parts for my car on their shelves, but what I didn't expect, the dealership would not even order me one from an after market vendor. Dealership refused to fix the leak. I think its safe to say, if they didn't have a hose, they most likely don't have any parts for my car, which they will not order for me as well!
Was told the mechanic could not duplicate the problem with my car locking and unlocking itself, which was just a nice way of telling me they didn't know how to fix the problem. I told advisor, I could walk back to the service bay and duplicate the problem in a heartbeat. Was never offered the opportunity to go back there though!
Was told there was nothing wrong with my stick shift getting into reverse . That was an insult as far as I'm concerned. I've been driving manual transmission cars for forty some years! When you have to struggle a minute or more, to get your car in reverse, that's not normal! This was just another excuse. The truth is, they didn't know how to fix the six-speed ZF transmission.
What saddens me? I have a collector's edition corvette, that I thought was produced in sincerity for collectors, by GM. Yes, I feel that GM has betrayed me. Why would you build a car, that you can't support? Whatever happened to the Heartbeat of America? How can the top executives of GM be so non-caring about SUPPORTING what they sale?
rust on my 2016 gmc sierra 2500 diesel pickup
I took my truck back to my dealership that I bought it from, Newport Chevrolet in Newport, NH. I needed to report that there is rust in a few places and I wanted to schedule it to be fixed. I was told that they didn't have a body shop and they had to drive the truck 2 and 1/2 hours away to St. Johnsbury, VT. in order to get it fixed. Or they gave me the option of them taking it 2 hours south, to Banks Chevrolet in Manchester, NH.
I do not want all these additional miles on my truck just to get it fixed. I want it fixed locally. It's not my fault that there are rust spots on the truck nor is it my fault that Newport GMC doesn't have a body shop.
