Price of woman's hair wash and blow dry
My wife recently went to your store here in Southern Highlands in Las Vegas. All she wanted was a wash and blow dry. They wanted to charge $6.00 for the wash, and they had three prices for the blow dry. They had 3 categories: $21 for short hair, $28 for long, and $60 for formal. My wife's hair is shoulder length, and they wanted to classify it as "formal!" So a wash and blow dry would cost $66.00!
She tried telling the girl her hair was only shoulder length, but the girl said her hair was in the "formal" category.
My wife had been going to another hair place where they charged only $35 to wash and blow dry her hair! The only reason she tried Great Clips is because you are closer, and I get my hair cut there monthly.
Why would my wife be charged $60 for shoulder length hair? I sent you photos. Her hair is straight and easy to manage.

Just went to Great Clips at 5945 John R Rd, Troy, MI 48085 with a coupon for $8.99 which was not expired see image attached. The stylist told me we do not have $8.99 in the system so we can not honor the coupon.

My hair is cut with a number 5 in the back, a number 4 on the sides and trimmed on top to blend with the back and sides, The beautician used a number 5 on all my hair. It's worse than a military cut. She should have followed direction on my profile they have had on record for years. Very upsetting. I know it will grow back but that isn't the point.
Great Clips Coupons
I have been going to Great Clips in my neighborhood in St. Louis County area (63123) for the past 4 years, and I look forward to checking for Great Clips couponds since I am a senior and every penny counts. I typically get my hair styled every 5 weeks...Lately, this past month which is September 2020, I tried numerous times to download a coupond that had a proper CODE on it so when I went to get my hair styled the salon could imput it in the register so I could kindly receive the coupon discount. Lately, that has not been possible, and I'm wondering if I should just look for a Salon that does offer coupons for their customers on a regular basis..?
Anything you can help me to understand why your site does not always work, like having your Great Clips coupons available to customers that would really be very nice...

At 9 am, I go to click make an appointment and then it says I have a 44 minute wait which is impossible. It cannot take 44 minutes to clean the salon which should be done the day before.
Look at the online checkin list before opening the door to customers who do not checkin online and giving them first preference.

Great Clips Vero Beach Fl Miracle Mile
I have worked for Great Clips for 4 months now.. I have witness heron use in the bathroom with a employee.. I have witness pot use in the back door of Great Clips.. Lying, stealing treating customers bad it is crazy.. I call out one day because I have really bad shoulder pain and they said being doctors note which it is fine and I will do that.. But they have not made other employees do that also.. I have been in this industry for 36 years now and I have never seen a place run like this before.. Very sad what has happen to our industry.. The manager does not want to hear the truth and what is going on.. Thank you for listening but someone needs to check into this salon..

Complaint from stylist about tipping

I have been going to great clips for years with no problem, lately the two last visits with Mona the stylist which I had both times at great clips at pavilion at East lake in Marietta Georgia . she will not ask if I would like to leave a tip she will take the money and say we are done with no change. I noticed on the recites that it was senior haircut , i am not a senior which is making tip more for her. My brother was with me she told him that he need to remember to tip next time. I though you tipped if you wanted to. Don't know if we will go to great clips any more if this is the way it is going to be.

I stopped to get my son and I haircuts at 550 pm. The location was the timber ridge location in Prospect KY. My son walked in while I parked the car and then he walked out and said they were closed and the lady in the store hurriedly locked the door. When she saw me walking to the door she disappeared to the back of the store. The door states to location closes at 6:00 not 5:50.

We have been regular Grear Clips customers for quite a few years, usually at the franchise inPleasant Hill,Ia and always leaving generous $tips.
The week of july 1 2022 was an exception.My wife got an $85 perm at the franchise in Altoona,Ia
All began going downhill when she was informed that her Discover Card card was not an acceptable form of payment.

Later that day she noticed a fairly large area at her right temple was turning a light yellow cast.Her 82 yr old hair is normally a light siver gray.The next day on saturday jul 2 the area was a more pronounced yellow.
She stopped back into the Great Clips in Altoona,Ia to make them aware of her problem.
She was informed that it was not Great Clips problem ,and they had never seen such a thing,and they did not intend to rectify the condition in any way,and that the yellow was likely caused by some sort of her medications.
I was sitting out in our car ,and when she returned and told me how she had been treated,I naturally
became very irrate and went into Great Clips and let them know how I felt about their second rate actions .Great Clips informed me that I would have to leave the premises.That ,to me was not the solution I expected ,and they put me on the phone with a ‘manager’.who told me to settle down ,and another manager would be calling us on Tuesday july 5.The second manager did ,in fact call us tuesday jul 5 ,and basically repeated the very same dialog that was initially told to my wife on Saturday july 2 ,and the yellow area was my wifes fault ,and BTW my wifes follow up trim,in a few days, that is part of the perm cost of $85 would not be allowed,and that Great Clips would discontinue all follow up perm trims,now and in the future.This I considered to simply be a very spiteful and arbitrary action made by a representative of Great Clips to “get even” ,instead of diffusing the situation.
My wife washed her hair 2 days later and the yellowing disappeared ,I suspect it was caused by perm chemicals not being completely and thoroughly rinsed during a perm step.
I have not been able to find out who owned this Great Clips franchise ,in order to make them aware of this sorry event.

Service at the Sartell Branch
I showed up 10 minutes before 9 am. The store was a few minutes late opening. I was the second hair cut. The young blonde lady with glasses was cutting my hair. The gentlemen in the chair next to me ask the other hair cutter starting late.
She replied that she was there at 8:30 but had no keys. The one cutting my hair told her that it was enough in a very bad tone in front of customers.
While cutting my hair she ask me about my hair and I ask her to take more off the top. She Breathed hard like I was an asking for money. Then I said I am not twenty years old. I ran my fingers through my hair to show that my hair was 1/2" longer on one side. She took offense and told me to move my hands. Then she just cut that one side and no they were not the same length, I told her she needed to cut my hair the way I ask and not the way she wanted. She was very snippy and has a bad attitude. If she is at location next time I will go to your competitor. The gentlemen that was in the chair beside me told me in the parking lot that he was glad he did not have her after hearing her .

Microaggression/racism in great clips

I am a current part time stylist employed at GreatClips.

First incident... The specific date I have written for EOE purposes
I was still in training, I had asked Serena Carter (salon manager/owner) for assistance... it wasn't what she said it was how she said it... She was very rude to me when I asked her a question about the operation of POS. The customer noticed and she snapped back in m y defense.
Second time...in front of the customer Serena Carter was rude to me in front of the customer, while I was cutting the customers hair... she snapped... "Tie, go get the towels olut of the dryer now!"I did not snap on her. I said, Okay, when I am finished with my customer. She did not like that. She has abused her power.
The last straw was this past Tuesday night at close. My scheduled hours was 2pm-8pm. I went to the back to put my tools back, combs that I did not use... As I am approaching to walk back towards the front of the salon... Serena says "Go get my water bottle, its on my desk"... Its the way she said it! So... no problem, I go all the way back to her office on her desk and get her water bottle that she rudely told me to go fetch... and I noticed that her keys, cellphone, and shades was still on her desk... Now 7:59 pm... I walk back up to the register to clock out where Serena was and gave her her water bottle. I said..."Hey Serena did you know that your phone and glasses are still on your desk?" Now shes walking towards the office and says..."I know... I wanted my water" but she did not drink it lol... and she walked to the back and came back out with her sunglasses on and then took them off at the register lol... that is an abuse of power... she wants to show me whose the boss... I over stand... I am a hairstylist for 30 yrs and a retired full service salon owner of half of that, so I know what it is...
It is all because I do not scrub her bathroom floors, and salon floors and do housekeeping. That is not what I am licensed for and that is not what GreatClips hired me for. And because of this, my hours have been cut, my tips and wages have been manipulated, I have been told by the General manager that I can quit if I want. I have been strategically provoked by two customers to try to get me to get angry. I have been stalked by two Caucasian men outside in the parking area twice in a black pick up truck.
There has been a decrease in my pay and tips. But, the EOE is working on that now. So yes there is micro aggression, and abuse of power in Great Clips.
Great Clips is an awesome Company and 90 percent of the customers are awesome! It is so unfortunate that the Management for this particular salon has poor taste in integrity. And, also, because a person that is in a biracial marriage doesn't mean that they cannot be racist. Yes, and I also have statements from other previous and current stylist that is currently employed there such as myself. I really hope to come to a resolution.

They wouldn’t let me have the stylist I wanted to cut my hair! They won’t take requests which sucks! The rest of the stylist can’t do my hair like I like, but there’s one girl that does it great and they said I can’t have her because they don’t take requests or I can’t wait for her to do my hair cut! Limited store hours
I live in Spartanburg SC and go to the E Main St location to get my hair cut.
They are now closing at 6:00 pm every week night and I don't get off work until 5:00 pm so they cannot take my appt. I decided to get my hair cut on Sunday, only to find out that they are CLOSED ON SUNDAY. They open at 9:30 am during the week, but I have to be at work at 8:00 am. I do not want to drive across town just to get my hair cut. Why are their hours so restrictive and if they can open on week days, why can't they open on Sunday?
Desired outcome: Open on Sundays and longer hours during the week.

I called this location yesterday 07-20-2022 at 0420PM and asked if I could come over and get a haircut and the lady said yes. I arrived at 0430PM and sat down. A lady cutting hair asked if I checked in online and I stated no but a lady just told me to come on over. The lady cutting hair told me to check in online. The App would not let me check in. When I told the lady she said it was too late to check in because they close at 0500PM. I asked if I could get a haircut and the lady said no. A gut getting his haircut stated to try a place that was too far away. When I stated that was too far away they all laughed and I walked out. See who gets the last laugh. This is not over.
Haircut Disaster
On July 11, 2022 I visited the Lion Head Village Great Clips, Salon #4412, in Nashville, TN to get my hair trimmed. My hair is one length and every visit I ask for 1 inch to be trimmed. Simple right?
I've worn my hair the same length for years and picture #1 shows what I always look like. No styles, no layers, just straight hair.
At about 11:15 a.m. Stuart led me to the chair and I told him I wanted 1 inch off the length and a little bit off the bangs.
Normally the hairdresser holds the amount they are going to trim to get your approval.
Not Stuart. He immediately grabbed at least 2 inches and chopped it off at the same time he was telling me that he had been at Great Clips for 2 weeks.. I was surprised at the first chop and, in retrospect, should have jumped out of the chair or stopped him but I thought I would just have to live with a shorter cut. He proceeded to chop and I could see many uneven areas. He then took an INCH off the bangs. That is not a little!
When he was done he did not turn me around in the chair and show me the back which is standard procedure from other Great Clips stylists.
When I got home I was mortified to see that in the back he had not cut an inch off straight across but had taken a layer of my top colored hair, cut it off and left my original darker color underneath showing (see pictures). Did he ask? No. Did he show me what he had done? No. Why would he even do that? Was that a layer? A style? I did not ask for either.
I immediately returned to Great Clips and Stuart's excuse was that he was used to being a barber. What does that even mean?
I refused to let him touch my hair so another gal said the only way to fix it was to cut the dark color off resulting in a lot more length off my hair.
The final result makes me look like my 3rd grade picture with a bowl cut and short bangs. How many inches were cut off my hair? I am angry every time I look in the mirror knowing it will be months before it grows back to the length it should be. I don't like short hair on me because it does not look good on me. It is too short to put in a ponytail which I wear at work.
Stuart did everything wrong at my expense. I am still trying to figure out how a one inch trim on one length hair went so horribly wrong.
I immediately contacted Great Clips Customer Service with my complaint who said they would inform the independently owned Great Clips owner about my negative experience and the owner would get in touch with me in a timely fashion. Over one week later no one has contacted me.
I am in the work world and rarely complain but there is no reason Great Clips should employ such an incompetent stylist. I am trained at work to "See something, say something". I am saying something in the hopes that this will not happen to anyone else.
"Great Clips-It's Gonna Be Great". Guess what? It's not!
I paid for a service I did not receive. I want my money back.

I have been using Great Clips numerous times in Stouffville Ontario Canada.
Today I decided to have my haircut...and when entering store was greeted with a very rude employee...She asked "Do I have an appt.?"...I said no...She said "most cuts are arranged by appt and since I don't have an appt will have to wait an hour or comeback another day"...I asked about the coupon I had and she stated no longer acceptable...and walked away...I noticed only one customer was being service and other chairs empty.
There are to many salons in Stouffville to choose from besides Great clips...and served with politeness...which I used today afterwards.
This East Indian employee didn't seem to even like working here.
Unfortunate for Great Clips to have such an employee serving the general public.
This will be the last time I ever use Great Clips.

Simple haircut on Friday morning June 24.kept feeling this pain on my left ear..got my wife to look at it she said looks like a cut and took a picture and showed me .looks like where the clippers got my ear.Not only did great clips raise prices but their service is terrible.this is not my first bad experience with great clips.don’t know why I come back it’s not cheap and bad service.
