In December 2009 I started seeing the Great Expressions orthodontic center becuase I needed braces desperatly. They are the only orthodontic center within 300 miles of my house covered by United Concodordia (hmmm...I wonder why) so I had to go there. On my first visit they were very nice and acted like they knew all about orthodontics (they are all con artists, don't believe them about anything). On my second visit, wich was "records day" i had to get molds and such. They have made 14 mistakes since then (currently its July '10). Here is the list of all the mistakes they have made: 1. they used a mold that was too big for my mouth so rather then the typical 15 seconds for the goo to dry it took 2 minutes, or peer gaging. 2. I had the slightest cross bite and it didn't bother me at all, and you couldnt tell at all because it was on my molars really far back. I got an expander and they accidently said 28 cranks instead of the 8 extra ones so I ended up having a huge overbite on both sides of my mouth, and on the right side of my mouth my molars dont touch the top molars are sooo far over. 3. while putting in my expander she meant to be putting a sealer on my teeth, but on "accident" the fresh out of dental school orthodontist smothered adhesive all over 3 of my teeth before she realized it wasn't sealer. 4. while putting on my braces she put one of the brackets on wrong (because they always sing to the radio while working on your teeth) put one of the brackets on wrong and had to pull it off and put it back on, then 5 months later the bracket came off and now she's calling it "breakage" and charging me for it. 5. when putting colors on my braces, she forgot the bottom right side of my mouth so i had no colors on 5 teeth so the wire wouldnt stay in and it kept comming out. i had my mom call in shortly after to say that and the manager (Rose) said that it was "no biggie" and "would probably be fixed next appointment if they had time". 6. They sent in the wrong design for the expander so they had to sightly numb my mouth and cut two arms of metal off my expander while it was still in my mouth. 4 months later and im still in pain with cuts on my pallete from then cutting. I could easily go on with this list forever. My advice is to STAY AWAY FROM THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE CON ARTISTS AND TRICK YOUR PARENTS INTO THINKING THAT THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! THEY DON'T! THEY WILL DO ANYTHING TO JUST GET YOUR MONEY! (AND THE MAJORITY OF THE EVIL CON STUFF THEY DO IS EXTREMLY PAINFUL). my dad will not let me switch orthodontists so i have to live with their crappy job and con artist ways but if you have options NEVER EVEN THINK ABOUT DIALING THEIR PHONE NUMBER! I looked on google images for a picturre of the expander I have, and it doesn't exsist any where else but the weird factory they get them from... STAY AWAY!

unresponsive and inept bureaucracy
I was erroniously billed $277 for a procedure. The DHG dentist who handled my case directed that the charge be deleted and even made a follow-up phone call directing this for a second time. The DHG office manager at the Tampa East Busch office made multiple computer entries for over three months trying to get the Detroit bookeeping operation to remove the invalid charge. I visited their office twice and made repeated phone calls attempting to resolve this matter. Nothing worked, bills continued to arrive from Detroit.
Finally, to protect my credit rating from this incredibly inept and unresponsive operation I have paid the bill, even thought I do not owe it.
I have no complaint about the dentist or the quality of his work, but I refuse to do business with an organization which stonewalls and ignores not just its customers, but its own subordinate management. I will never do business with DHG again.

This place is a joke and completely unprofessional! Took my 8 year old there for (what I thought) was an extraction of a tooth that was chipped and causing his great pain. When I made the appointment over the phone I was very clear and stated "he had an appointment there last week to which o was advised he needed 2 teeth pulled, one on each side, and the one tooth that my son complained to the dentist about hurting him, was due to it having an exposed nerve. Then she said he also need another filing." I told the lady on the phone I needed to make an appointment to have the tooth on his right side pulled asap because he was in severe pain each time he ate. Went to the appointment 3 days later and no one came out to verify what they were doing that day, they just said "ok mom, we are going to take him back and get started" so I assumed they knew what they were doing... Big mistake! 2 hours later they had pulled the other tooth, (left side) and did a root canal with a crown on another tooth! They didn't even pull the right tooth, the entire reason I was there! And I didn't go there for a filing either! I already had another appointment for that at a later date. Talk about furious! All I got was "I'm sorry, there must have been a mix up on his paperwork, it said we were doing everything on his left side today" I willnever trust my cchildren's teeth to this place again. I found another dentist and had the correct tooth pulled but best believe I in he process of writing a lengthy email to the BBB and the corporate office as well as making sure my sons story is put out there for all to see. I would not be surprised how many other kids this has happened too.

I WAS A DENTAL ASSISTANT AT DENTAL HEALTH GROUP/GREATT EXPRESSION DENTAL IN SOUTH FLORIDA. IT WAS TRAUMATIC FOR ME GOING TO WORK EVERYDAY. I WAS ALWAYS AFRAID THE NEWS MEDIA WOULD COME SOMEDAY AND EVERYONE WOULD BE ARRESTED. THEY OVER CHARGE THE HMO PATIENTS AND THEN BILLED ADDITIONAL FEES. EX. ALL PATIENTS ARE BILLED FOR CROWN PREP, BUILD-UP AND LAB FEES THAT IS THE RULE. MOST TIMES THE PATIENTS HAD TO PAY ADDITIONL FEES OUT OF POCKET WHEN NO BUILD-UP WERE DONE. IF YOU THE PATIENT IS HAVING A SIX UNIT BRIDGE DONE, YOU ARE LITERALLY CHARGED TWO LAB FEES. THEY CALL IT REHAB CASE. HERE ARE THE CODES! 10102 FOR REHAB CASES AND 10166 FOR A REGULAR LAB FEES. THE ASSISTANT WHO ARE THE TREATMENT PLAN COORDINATOR (CRAZY IDEA...HOW CAN ONE DO BOTH) ARE TOLD TO CHARGE $195 UPGRADE FEES REGARDLESS OF FEES, A TOTAL OF ABOVE $320. AS FOR FILLINGS FEES 1 SURFACE $85, 2 SURFACE $105 AND 3 SURFACES $125. THIS RELATES TO ALL HMO CASES. OK! TO GET AWAY THE ASSISTANT IS ASKED TO APPLY $40 TO THE ONE SURF FILLING AND $45 TO A DESENTIZING AGENT(NO SUCH IS EVER AGENT IS EVER PLACED) PLUS A $0 MISC RESIN POSTERIOR(THIS IS A DISTRACTOR...THIN NOTTHING IS $0 IN THE COMPANY). My family and I recently moved from MD to GA and had waited 3 months to finally get an appt with Great Expressions. When we finally had our appt, we were 3 months behind with our 6 month cleaning. My family had gone to this dentist due to our insurance. They advised my husband he needed a deep cleaning. (Scaling and root planing) which was $1500.00 He went ahead and had the treatment done. Then I went 2 weeks later and they advised me I needed the same, my was worst then his and mine would of been $1800.00.
I did not have the treatment done, in fact I called my insurance company and had them look into this. I have never had any problems with my teeth or gums. This dentist office is the biggest rip off. I would not recommend them to anyone! They will take your money!

Great Expressions Orthodontic Care in Roseville, Michigan ruined my smile, they refused to remove the braces until I signed a waiver. The waiver is to prevent you from suing them. I followed their instruction but, in the end my teeth look extremely uneven and misaligned. NICOLE SIERRA OLDS is seriously the worst orthodontist. Please save yourself a ton of money, time, and heart break. Find a different Orthodontist.
