My name is Lerato Nko, I once signed with the Gym Company, however the contract was incomplete as I was supposed to send my banking details, that was in 2015 Dec, I met the guy by the name of Bobo who was a sales consultant, then the next day I decided to end the contract, which to my understanding it was not finalized yet, I read it and understood it, I wrote them a termination letter and submitted it, I gave it to Fanyana, that contract stated that it could be cancelled within 7 days, I did it within a day.
I then went to flora Centre where their offices are seeing that they trying to deduct from my account, I spoke to 1 of the manager called Fanyana, I explained the situations to him, he promised that the contract will be cancelled, after a month they tried to deduct again, I went back to him and she told one of the ladies there to solve the matter. I trusted them but they kept on deducting, I reversed the payments and I blocked them.
I don't even have their membership card,
Then last week I called Transunion and I was told that Gym Company has blacklisted with an amount of R 8000.00.
Even if I started in 2015 nov, it's a 24 months contract, can I really owe the R8000.when the monthly premium is R200.
They once sent me an sms saying they can re-instate me if I pay the what I owe them.

I've been receiving sms stating that my gym memebership is overdue, I am confused because i have not signed anything regarding gym member. I just called the customer service care line few minutes ago, and they have all my details. Please cancel that membership, how come they have my personal details which I am aware of.

contract period ended gym still making deductions!!
I signed a 12 months contract with gym company from July 2016 and my contract ended July 2017. The gym has continued to deduct money from my account for three months now. Even after I have communicated with them that I do not want to continue membership with them both verbally and in writing. Why I am having such difficulty in the first place when my contract has ended.
This company is in the business of exploiting people under the guise of process! What process when the contract under which we had an agreement has reached its maturity and is therefore null and void.

I had been approached by one of the salesman in June who convinced me to signing up but assured me that after the free trial I the contract will be cancelled if no payments are made. I hardly went to the free trial. I went to the gym managers and I was told I owe R900 I am merely a student first year university I can't afford that. I asked if I could cancel the contract and I was told to pay the cancellation fee which is R2000 as well as the R900. I asked the lady whether they could stop debuting the money and I will pay the R2900 yet she failed to give me a response.

Hi Can someone please assist me. I have an ongoing query with Gym Company. I cancelled my membership in March because I was moving to DBN as I got a new job this side and there is no GYM Company here but apparently it wasn't cancelled and now I have been listed as a default. Now they require me to pay for months where I was inn KZN plus cancellation fee.. Please help me fight this

I signed contract in September 2016 signed the debit order date to be the 30th of the month.The 1st debit order was supposed to go off in December 2016.The gym since then have been deducting my account on the 25th of the month I reported the matter in January 2017 and they promised to rectify their mistake, since January 2017 upto September they have been deducting on the wrong date I went the several with the bank statement and that my bank is charging me for the unpaid debit orders, I then decided to terminate contract with GYM Company manager at Ghandi Square-Emmanuel offered me 3 month free contract without debiting my account however they went and debit without my authorisation and they are harassing me with sms's and Whatsapp messages that I'm owing.my Reference number D06047Gs
terrible service
Good morning, I am gyming in Gym company Doornfontein since 2016 February, today early I the morning I went to gym as usual I gym at 05:00am the lady in reception she literally refuse to allow me to enter with reason saying I didn't make payment for this month but astonishingly the money was deducted in my account. I have been noticing the lady on daily basis she is so hostile to customers in a way that she thinks we are gyming for free nor begging to gym. The way she speaks to people it's unprofessional I felt a big pain leaving my house at 04:30am and then get denied to entry without any notice worse part I have been a member of this gym company for a year? The owner of the gym need to employ professional employees with a good customer service other than that you will lose customers because of one illiterate arrogant somebody who thinks by working in a reception she is entitled to harras customers, today after work I'm driving to gym to cancel my contract, I would go to other gyms with good customer service and who value customers.

I have open my membership in Randburg square, so I went to randburg gym to cancel my membership, it was on 08 Sunday april 2017, I was help by the consultant which I paid R596 for cancelation membership, receipted by lady called Flora, RS09885... Was told that my membership is is opened at other gym, which i didn't went and i dont know it, while I opened my membership in Randburg square, on Monday I called the gym on this number [protected] to do follow up with cancellation of membership all I got is the person who is doing my account he is not in, so they will cancelled it, and get back to me... Since then one get back to me, all they know what to do is to go through my account and take my money... All they know is to scam people, so I'm tired of saying one thing over and over... 09195RB

debiting my account without my consent
As off June 2017 The Gym company has been debiting my account with charges other than that of the Gym fee. I had queried them every month since then however nothing has been resolved they are still debiting my account. When i last spoke to them they advised that it was due to a problem in their accounts department and that they would have it resolved immediately however nothing has changed. To date since June they have debited my Account with R700.00 and now when i am trying to contact them i am unable to get hold of them. The service provided by this Gym company is unacceptable. I've emailed them several times to ask them to advise me when this Gym membership is finishing as i would like to get rid of them once and for all but it seems my mails are being ignored and my calls are being avoided. I applied to join the gym on 15.09.2017 but decided to cancel on 18.09.2017. Junior Zulu was the sales person who assisted me. Spoke to C Manana (Gandhi square fitness manager) he told me he is busy he will call me back, I've been trying to call him but he doesn't answer my calls. Sent an Email to Emmanuel (Gandhi square manager) which was provided by C Manana, he also provided horrible service as he promised he will assist and asked me to call him back but he then decided to ignore my calls. I am extremely annoyed by the service I am getting from your company.

being a member without knowing it
I just received a text message stating that my membership is long overdue ref no. D141080P and i was told that i signed the form in April while i was away the whole month for my daughters birthday. It will cost me to cancel also because i was told of R1700 to cancel without having any idea of completing the membership form.
This is kind of sordid how can i pay that much when i cannot recall the debit orders from them.

I went to Randburg Square to pay for my unpaid debit orders in January 2017 because I changed banks, I also handed in my new bank details. gym company kept on debiting the old acc and i was only aware a few months after they sent me an sms telling me that I am in arrears. I sent an email querying the unpaid fees from my old bank acc, I didn't get any response even after making numerous calls I was promised that they will get back to me. I sent my hubby to go make a cash payment for the arrears and he handed in my new bank details .last month I get an sms saying I am in arrears my old bank acc was debited again .i sent my hubby again to the branch they had old bank acc details they didn't update the new one ...the manager is not helpful either...i don't know what to do...i want to pay my monthly payments but Gym Company is making it impossible for me.

default on my credit profile
I have never registered for membership now I have a default against my name. What the [censored] is going on? My credit profile is now mess for [censored] I don't know. I see a lot of people have complained but this scam is still happening. What must one do before you shut down such companies? I am planning on buying a house but my credit life is a mess because of such. Please assist by shutting down these fraudsters

I had signed up with Gym company used the gym for not more than 3 months upon which I informed the gym that I can't not use it services because of the following
1. New job required me to travel nationally and the gym company doesn't have gyms all over South Africa
2. Non-accessable for me as the gym I had access to was in Johannesburg only
I found out recently that they have listed me to pay up an amount of R7 642 of which I don't understand how it came about whereas I was paying only R199 at the time.

This is the second email Ive send.
I was approached my one of your sales guys and he told me all the membership plans.Well, I told him that Id love to join the gym and he told me that I can sign up for a membership...but it will only be activated once I submit the copy of receipt that he gave me. I changed my mind because I was still struggling with my varsity fees and decided not hand in the receipt.I was surprised when I kept getting calls from the company about my membership being overdue and now I might be BLACKLISTED because of a membership I didnt activate.This whole ordeal began at the beginning of June.I quit varsity due to lack of funds, and now I might be BLACKLISTED and wont be able to take a loan and finish my studies.I even told the guy that Iwont give him my real Bank Account number because I was not certain that I will join the Gym Company.I'd really appreciate it if this matter is resolved soon.Ive contacted the complaints board and told them about this whole ordeal.I dont want to get into any trouble at this age.I also want that alleged membership to be cancelled with immediate effect.Ref no:D23859N

unauthorised debit
on the 13/07/2017 I was at Maponya mall doing shopping, so as I was roaming around I was approached by a sales person from gym company and he insisted that I give him my time so I gave the gentleman my time. As we were chatting I mentioned to him that I am interested in joining the gym but I am not yet ready to do so, he then said I should complete a membership form and all payments will then start to happen the day I buy a tag which will be an indicator to them that I'm using the gym
26/08/2017 money was taken from my account by gym company, I then went to the bank reversed the transaction then called gym company to cancel my membership, they then told me that there is a cancellation fee that I have to pay, which is round about R1000 .
So my question here is how do you pay money for something you didn't get service for, i have never set foot in that gym and haven't used any of their facilities but money is taken out of my bank account, such audacity

16/06/2017 I signed up for a gym membership sales guy was very convincing, later on realized I can't afford to pay it because I am under a learnership and soon I will be unemployed. 07/08/2017 went to Maponya mall to cancel my gym membership I was told I owe R1372 no explanation was given to me, the lady who assisted me had a bad attitude towards me and she told me to pay it up. Not once have I used their services, the sales guy told me I could cancel anytime there won't be charges.. Gym company is worst how am I supposed to pay that amount of money?

My girlfriend and I had signed up at randburg sqaure about a month ago. Yesterday I have finally received my tag but I am still waiting for my other tag to come. Today (2017/07/26) I phoned them to ask what is happening the lady at reception put me hold after I started explaining what the issue is. I waited for a while and as soon as the call was removed from hold she killed the call. I phoned again and had no answer at all.
We have moved to bromhof gym, the gym there tried to get our tags on a daily basis. (Thank you bromhof for the assistance). Randburg told them that they cannot give it to them as we must go pick it up our self. When we get there they havent even loaded us in the system. What a crap service from randburg sqaure.
Please can you also explain why bromhof cannot pick up our tags or submit the forms as they clearly know what they are doing.

I attended Gym in Braamfontien in 2016 and my contract ended in January 2017. I attended the gym in January this year and told the staff but no one thought of telling me that I must sign a completion form when contract ends. Because my contract ended and nowhere in the contract does it state this rule, the gym decided to renew my contract? like i really thought one had to sign in order for such contracts to be bound but they decided to debit money from my account for 6 months. When I did notice I went to complain at the gym, they processed my complaint to Tanya and all she did was ask for my Id number and never replied to my emails further about my money, no contract was signed therefore it is null and void and I am a student and i want my money back, was able to speak to some lawyers and if this is not sorted one way or another something will be done. I want my money back, it was easy to take my money please don't stall in returning iy

In November 2016 i filed at randburg square to join the gym then after two days i decided to cancell due to financial problems and i never stepped inside the gym even once. I went to the promoter/sales man who got me registered and told him i want to cancell and he said he cannot help me i have to go to the office. Went there found some lady told her i need to cancel and she told me about R500 cancellation fee. I never paid it and today 08/11/2017 got a call that the gym company has me blacklisted. What should I do i cancelled because of i was unemployed and even now im still unemployed.
