Not being able to write a check
I went to pick up a few items needed at HEB and when I opened my wallet that is when I realized that my debit card that I always used was cancelled the day before because I had found someone had hacked my card. I asked the cashier if I could write a check and she said yes. I know that I had more than enough money my checking account and when the tried to run my check it would not go thru. I have never been so embarrassed in all my life. She called the manager and I explained why I was writing a check and she tried to process the check and it would not go thru. I went with h er to the service desk and she handed me a card stating that the company they use to verify checks was the reason why my check would not go thru...BUT when I got home I tried to see why the check would not process on the company's site and no record was found! How sad HEB as I feel too embarrassed to step foot in the Taylor HEB because I knew the girl working behind the service desk! I guess I should just start doing ALL of my shopping in Rockdale!
HEB Pharmacy on Babcock and Huebner
After my husband's second knee surgery, the doctors sent him home with three pain medications. By the time we were driving home, the meds were ready to be picked up.
After the two-week checkup, his surgeon again called in with scripts for two of the three pain meds. When I called the pharmacy to see if these were ready, the young lady who answered the phone told me that we could only have one or the other but not both of the pain meds. I was flabbergasted. She asked if I wanted to speak to the pharmacist. I said yes.
I repeated the same information to him and he said that yes, HE WAS MAKING THE DECISION AS TO WHETHER WE WOULD BE GIVEN EITHER TRAMADOL OR HYDROCODONE. HE SAID, AS THE PHARMACIST, HE HAD THAT RIGHT TO MAKE THAT DECISION AS BOTH MEDS SERVED THE SAME PURPOSE. REALLY!?
So, in fact, he is overriding the decision of the surgeon that performed this very painful surgery. In all the years of going to doctors and having multiple surgeries, I have never been told that a pharmacist can override the decisions of the surgeon or doctor. Since when does HEB staff decide which medications to fill and second-guess our doctors?
Desired outcome: 1. I want this pharmacist be told and to understand that he does not have the right to make medical decisions for HEB customers. 2. I want all medications filled, according to our doctors' orders.
The some of the Younger employees that are allowed to work on register
Yesterday I went to the HEB on Nueces Bay and leopard I'll go there about 3 to 4 times a week I deposited $40 somewhere all access NetSpend I proceeded to do my shopping I go pick up a few items go to register they swipe my car they say insufficient funds three times mind you just deposited $40 so they take me to another register which everybody was registered 6 Iron Man tells me he's going to rescan everything again I am seeing that it says transaction approved? I get home I don't have the items that I pay for I only have my coffee creamer and my coffee? But yet I got charged for my other items that is that I did not get I proceed to go back to the store to the young man that did the transaction as far as checking me out on register 6 he told me that I did not get them because I did not have enough money on my card but yet my items were still bagged sitting on the counter by the register? So I told them charge me for them because I needed them but I do online banking :-) I see that I got charged twice to call the general manager he was very nice by the way :-) I just hope all this gets resolved and it was a transaction of eight or nine dollars and that's not the point the money is not the point is that these younger generation that don't seem to appreciate the fact that it wasn't for the customers they wouldn't have a job much less a paycheck!? There's been plenty of times that I'm standing there listening to a whole conversation that they're having while I'm waiting to pay that is so rude I just hope one day always gets situated because HEB IS AND HAS BEENVMY FAVORITE STORE TO SHOP and the one on NiecesU Bay is the closest that is going to be ashamed to have to another out of my area because of the lack of attention or what so.
Desired outcome: Courtesy, honesty, and respect

Ginger, Pharmacist at HEB in Lubbock, Texas
I spoke to my doctor this afternoon at 4:30 and he told me he was sending in a prescription. He was out of his office today and sent it in remotely. It is now 7:37 and the prescription (apparently) has not been received by the pharmacy. I just called them and the woman that I spoke to was extremely rude and unprofessional, her name was apparently Ginger and she told me she was the pharmacist when I ask to speak to her manager. Whenever she answered the call, I was trying to explain the situation and inform her that my doctor would not tell me he was going to do something and then just not do it. She very rudely interrupted me while I was in the middle of trying to inform her of the details of my situation with “date of birth” in a rude, annoyed voice, I paused for a minute, in shock at how rude that was and told her 8/27 before she spoke over me and ask “8/27?” and I replied 8/27/90. I then told her there was no need to be rude to me and she condescendingly said “I’m not”. She was very rude and very unprofessional, I’ve never had any problems nor been difficult in the past; I get that everyone has a bad day and it’s 30 minutes before they go home, but I am also not having a good day either and now I’m going to have to wait until tomorrow to get my medication, that I need and I get to enjoy being worked up about the way she treated me. If you would like to speak to me, my number is [protected]
Desired outcome: Professionalism training
Sooo aparebtky someone hacked into my account or made a look alike account….. I did not push anyone’s daughter 😂🤣😂 this is insane.
I would like to add one more thing. Ginger made me so upset. I sadly took my anger out on another customer's daughter who was in my way. I ended up shoving her to the ground. The parents are haveing me charged.
HEB Whip Salad Dressing
Very disappointing product. Container contents so thin it could be poured out and chunks of some unidentified material are in the product. Also some little dark specks are present.

Wrongful termination
My name is Cherika Monique Sariah and I recently was terminated due to lack of integrity (quality of being honest). Lets now start out on how honest I’m truly am, I told Gailene Chen exactly what I did on July 7th when she questioned me about the situation. I Cherika Sariah went to work July 7th on a Thursday, I was schedule ASM that morning 8am to 4pm. That morning I was eager to get my IPMs up due to the conversation Gailene had with me that following week. So since we all being Honest on July 5th I was standing on high side speaking with Amy Taylor on how Gailene Chen was upset with me about asking to no longer be a bookkeeper. That she was retaliating against me by only giving me one day she has always used the schedule to retaliate if you didn’t do what she wants, reason why I no longer wanted to be a bookkeeper is because the bookkeeper manager only uses the African American’s when the Latin Americans get demoted. Example (Estefani Salmeron came up short in business center/bookkeeping and I’ve been with HEB 9 Years the rule is you become a bagger or find another department to work in to keep your pay rate and I know from experience I worked at HEB on Dowlen Road got quicked change by a quick change artist and because I could not find another department to transfer to I got bump down to a bagger. Call and verify, if you like there number it is [protected], but instead when Estefani got demoted Gailene Chen promoted her to ASM to keep her pay when we all know she wasn’t suppose to take cash for at least 6 months with that being said I was put into book keeping. I worked book keeping only Tuesday and Friday because the book keeping office is shared with Gailene Chen and she creates a hostile work environment for me. So I told Erika the head book keeper I would only work it if I could work the days Gailene was off. She agreed so for 6 months I counted over 40,000.00 by hand but HEB terminate me due to lack of integrity but after 6 months I noticed I was no longer schedule in bookkeeping they gave my 2 days back to Estefani Salmeron I spoke on it to MIC Shirley she advised me to call HR. Never did because Jullissa is friends with Gailene Chen but lets take it back to July 5th Gailene walks up to me in the middle of me telling on her to Amy Taylor about her retaliating on me with the schedule and by the way Amy initial response was “Cherika call HR but not from your cell phone I don’t care if you have to drive to Walmart and use there phone but you need to call HR” before I can respond here comes Gailene she said to me “Cherika go look at the scores for this week” so of course I walks away the scores is located by the time clock on the refrigerator me not knowing because Gailene never fully trained me because I got the Asm position when Covid first hit so it’s a lot I’ve never been taught to be honest I never was trained all the training classes was canceled due to covid they just gave me a blue shirt and thru me out there to obviously not succeed. I asked Sierra “Gailene just sent me over here to get the scores for imps and I don’t know what to tell her?” Sierra Thorn responded, “Cherika the store is at 65 percent that mean we failed”(ask her also her number is [protected]) so I walks back to Gailene she is now by the register she no longer standing on high side by Amy Taylor. I advise Gailene I score was 65 percent her response to me was “ And that’s why I’m mad” and walked away. My truth I have never cared about IPMs until Amy start working there Gailene talks to us the employees like we are beneath her ask Shelly [protected]).So what I am getting to is that if she would have never came told me she was mad about the store failing I would have never asked Natalia Garcia to get my IPMs up at all, when I came In that morning because I was off July 6th the only thing I could think is I have to get my IPMS up before Gailene come in. (her number ask her [protected]) Ask her also Have I ever made the IPMs list with a passing score until I met Amy Taylor because she talks to me with respect so I start trying when she came to our store hoping she can change things. Now I got fired from logging in the cash register never gave my login numbers to no one and asking for help to get from a 20ipm to 36ipm but Gailene Chen should be terminated also for lack of integrity. Estephan Garcia always got on Gailene Chen computer which resides in book keeping to make the schedule for her ask him [protected]) so he has access to everything the Admin could see what’s the difference, the difference was I didn’t know it was a violation when I asked Natalia for help to get my ipms up but I’m pretty sure Gailene knows it’s a violation for Estephan to make the schedule. She also taught him to retaliate using the schedule Leslie Serna( phone number [protected]) was also retaliate on by Estephan and this is not he say she say Estephan called my phone and said “ I’m gone give the [censored] one day on the schedule” when he was not an admin never been an admin ask Trudy Potts [protected]) retaliation goes way back. Trudy was admin at the store she knows, by the way she QUIT , because Gailene or should I say book keeping . So recently why I was asked to be back in book keeping is because Brenda De La Riva was short in business center/bookkeeping instead of demotion or her finding her another department Gailene promoted her to ASM to keep her pay and gave her all Ms. Trudy Potts hours when the team couldn’t afford another ASM due to hours now we got 15 asms. Brenda was schedule asm 9 to 4 and they stuck Trudy on the register as a cashier for 9 to 4 and gave Brenda all Trudy ASM shifts after that lady been with the company over 20 years. Call her she quit the day I got fired July 11th she told me “What Gailene did for Brenda was the last straw!’’ Trudy number [protected]) moral of my story is yall investigating me when the problem is still at the store.. Gailene saves who she wants she saved Estephan job also he let a customer walk out with a basket of groceries she offered to pay so he wouldn’t get demoted and some how he didn’t when he was suppose to be a bagger too. Gailene email Jullissa to save who she likes or who has dirt on her or who is not BLACK, she only saves Latin Americans when I figure out EEOC email I will be copying and pasting this to them also and its cameras every where in that store you can see when she came up to me on high side to confront me about the store failing Ipms, you can see Estephan G. making the schedule in the book keeping office when his name wasn’t even on the door as a Book Keeper or you can see him in the Admin office when Trudy Potts was off sitting in her chair making the schedule. Gailene even use to drive him home a night the whole store thought they was sleeping together but that’s irrelevant, what’s RELEVANT is how many Heb violations Gailene Chen has broken in my email? What don’t sit well with me is that I’ve been with the company 9 years worked for 5 different HEBs (HEB on Dowlen road) (Heb on College St)(HEB on Lucas St)(HEB Vintage Market) and of course HEB Jones road never kissed [censored] to go to the top. I started out as a bagger making 9$ worked my way up tp 18.47 and I get let go over learned behavior, if Estephan was able to help make Gailene job easier why Natalia couldn’t help make my job easier. Eli I’ve been wanted to talk with you the day you asked Samantha Morels (phone number [protected]) about vitals she didn’t know them because Gailene never trained us properly, I couldn’t tell you vitals to get rehired right now I couldn’t even show you how to order bags since we being honest. If you was to ask Gailene taught us nothing so how I was suppose to know I was breaking a code or violation. What I do know is I have never, because I know Gailene like to make me look like a trouble maker been wrote up until I worked on Jones Road quick question wasn’t I suppose to get on like a 35 or 40 rating? Okay back to Estephan job being saved once again, well one day Estephan G lost his book keeping key and asked to borrow mines. I gave it to him one day I was schedule gas station and had to leave out and prop the door open with the dead bolt lock because of course Estephan had my bookkeeping key. I advised Gailene I let Estephan borrow my key ask Shirly I told her that too when she was doing a key audit, but Gailene not even a week later after Jeff Mic caught the door propped open by me and advised Gailene of what I did, Gailene takes me to Tom pretending she don’t know why the door was propped open. Never once admit to Tom that I been told her I let Estephan borrow my key so that week I got in trouble for propping the door open with the dead bolt but Estephan got no consequence for borrowing my key nor loosing his that job is unfair and I’m not writing this because I got fired I’m writing this because I finally found another job so I had time to sit in tell my TRUTH if I’m no longer working for HEB Gailene shouldn’t either.

Western Union inside HEB service desk
I strongly ask HEB to drop all services with Western Union until they no longer gouge the Customers any longer.
I just sent $500 from Texas to a friend in Texas.
The fee was $44.00 !
I know HEB makes money from this too but I wish to strongly request for HEB to immediately STOP using 3rd parties like Western Union only to grossly gouge the Customers!
I could not go elsewhere to send the money as my friend was waiting to get the money he needed so I was already inside HEB to send it.
This ain't rocket science.. Many of us have been loyal HEB Customers for 50+ years such as myself.
HEB does not need to be profiting from such 3rd parties partners!
Sending $500 had a $44 charge attached to it.. Seriously, does anyone with HEB upper Management not know this is very serious gouging?!?!?
I ask HEB to take the lead on this out of protest to Western Union for gouging and surely other retailers may follow you lead.
Time are very tough for us all right now, there is no excuse for such behavior of epic greed and gouging! This was a Texas to Texas money transfer. In fact, it was being sent to a friend only 70 miles away.
Desired outcome: Stop doing business with Western Union immediately until they stop cheating Customers!!
I was hurt today
Today July 25, 2022 I was abruptly stopped trying to take my cart outside H-E-B to pick up a part of Mellin that I could not find inside the store. The cart came to an abrupt halt I was walking very fast to make up time and my leg hit very hard the bar on the bottom of the cart. The pain was excruciating and I have a huge goose egg on my shin. I was told by management that this security system stopped people from leaving H-E-B with the carts however I explained that there are no whole watermelon‘s in The store. I had no choice but to walk out the doors to pick up the watermelon. I am very upset and my leg hurts a lot. Assuming everybody is running out with their groceries it’s not very accurate for security. There was no warning signs at the door or on my cart that if I would’ve tried to walk outside with my card it would’ve probably stop. I feel you are being inconsiderate of injuries occurring because of this feature.
Filthy HEB Store at IH35 and Schertz Parkway, San Antonio
This store is as dirty an HEB that I have ever seen. In the soda section, there is liquid running out from the bottom shelves into the isles. I have pictures. The floors are so bad that I feel like I have to wear a hasmat suit just to go in there. These pictures are from July 15, 2022 at the store on 3009 Scherty Parkway off of IH 35
Desired outcome: Clean up this mess

Ive been buying birthday cakes from the Burleson tx store for quite awhile. We buy all of our grandkids 8 of them to be specific, our 3 grown girls , mine and my husbands from this location ever since it opened. The cake I tried to order today is for my husbands birthday being done late as he works out of town. So to try to get his theme done everything ready to finally celebrate while he is home, I pre ordered an edible cake topper. Went to this location to order the cake and wanted them to apply the cake topper on it. They wouldnt do it! cited that it was a covid risk although since almost two years ago CDC has assured everyone that food items and packages are not a risk to contracting covid ! If theres a case yet to be shown that iit has become a risk no one not even CDC has stated it. I feel more of the problem is financial gain. You can buy one from this store that will cost more and have people in the bakery that are at the same risk of transferring covid as my PACKAGED edible topper is of transferring it ! However again CDC themselves that know more about this virus then any HEB corporate office does says thats not how you get it ! Took my business to Kroger across the street where it will stay from here on. HEB lost more revenue by not sticking with the facts of covid then trying to gain one stupid cake topper out of me. I will say the employee was nice but corporate you need to stop being greedy at a time that customers are already looking for better serviced than we have been receiving for a very long time now, We are tired of being pushed around and corporations thinking we are going to keep taking it
Desired outcome: Update your covid policies to match what the current safety standards are. Keep your customers needs first place not your profit line.
Flag Display
As of today 6-18-22 7:24P I visited the sore at 10660 FM 471 west and upon entering the store I witnessed an huge display flag of LGBTQ on one of the walls by the cashiers. I requested the immediate manager and I was confronted with a very young female and I spoke to her about my concerns of having such a display flag of the LGBTQ and not an American flag or a Texas Flag and she became offensive and replied to me that the LGBTQ flag was ok.. I personally DONOT like that flag being displayed in my HEB and her reply was "I'll see what I can do about displaying an American or Texas flag...Really. I donot have any kind of hate or disrespect for that community but I did not fight in the military for that display. Please talk or train your young Managers to receive the public with RESPECT.
Desired outcome: Appreciate a response
Incorrect pricing
I've been tracking my trips to HEB over the past 6 months. Statistically, 2 out of 5 times that I've shopped at your stores, I am overcharged for at least one item. That's FORTY PERCENT OF THE TIME! While admittedly, it's not a lot of money, I consider it fraudulent and I actually believe it's intentional.
Consider the math: HEB has around 319 stores. Cheating 50 people per day out of.25 is only $12.50 per day but when multiplied by 319 stores and 362 days per year. It's over $1.4 MILLION right to your bottom line. Your employees are always polite and offer the normal excuses and of course cheerfully refund my.25 BUT there is something sinister going on.
Surely you have the sophistication to have correct prices programmed into your scanners. I can only conclude that $1.4 Million in free profit is driving this behavior.
I would like an apology and an explanation for this obviously fraudulent activity.
Desired outcome: Fix your systems. Stop cheating people. Apologize. You are, unfortunately, a monopoly, but I honestly hate shopping at your stores because you are systematically cheating me and other unsuspecting consumers. Shame on you.
Cashing out
Wednesday, June 8, 2022 - 10:00 pm - Please note - I have been an HEB customer since my mother began shopping there shortly after our move to Texas in 1969. HEB is a wonderful company and is an incredible asset to the communities they serve and a light in times of trouble and disaster.
That said, this is the first time I have ever felt the need to express my disappointment and concern. When I shopped on Wed., June 8 at 9:30 pm, I was in a particular hurry being on a tight deadline that night and that was the only time I could go (I also live over 30 miles west of San Antonio).
Everything looked "normal" when I first arrived and there was no thought in my mind that I would be out within minutes of my deadline. Imagine my surprise when I completed my shopping at warp speed and hurried to the checkout counters and saw long lines at the only two lanes open for more than 10 items! Waiting in one of those lines would be disaster as those in front of me had baskets piled full. I had a fair amount in mine but not to overflowing.
Thus, I decided that my only recourse was to head to the self-check-out. I have always tried to abide by the limits but in the self-checkout it has never been my experience that being over was an issue. There was a line but obviously it moved much quicker.
As soon as I was at the first of that line, the attendant flew over to me, hands waiving wildly in the air while telling me "you can't come in here, this is for 10 items or less only!" Not to be deterred, I looked around and saw others with more than 10 items but less than me to be truthful. I told her to get her manager as I was not going to debate the issue.
Before I could even scan the first item (the register right next to me cleared while she was waving and shouting), the manager came running up to me at full speed with the same message: "you can't check out in here, you have more than 10 items." Again, I told them I see others with more than ten and in my mind if one person can come in with 11 or 12 or 15 then I can come with my overage as well. If it is 10, then it should be 10 for everyone. No exceptions! I also told him that there was no way I was waiting in those lines which rivaled those at Christmas with ALL checkers on deck.
He diffused the situation by telling me to go to station 7 and he would check me out. Fine. Thank you. So, I did as he asked and he checked me out post haste. I thanked him and tried to somewhat apologize for being a bit difficult but not for refusing to wait and he said - well you have to understand. Well, I didn't have to and don't. I let it go by and left the store.
Upon reflection, I thought to myself that this could have turned into a very ugly situation probably with me coming out on the worse end. And, heaven forbid, I am no Karen - but if something is wrong it is wrong. I am trying to understand how at that time of night, lines could be that long. Obviously, not enough checkers.
But what really gets me is that I was there with $124 in groceries in my cart and the intent was to make me wait in a long line while those spending much less had the advantage of the self-checkout.
I found the whole situation very disturbing and not a good example of a great customer experience. I am sure that the long lines were not a "one-off" so to speak.
Desired outcome: For a positive customer experience, more checkers through store closing to avoid those lines. No being turned away from the self-checkout. If there were more checkers, there would be less need to bully one's way into the self-checkout.
Customer service of bagger
6/7/2022 Stephenville Tx HEB, 314551 3:55pm 252l/02/00006 casher Odie H. bagger Shauntl no name tag visible to me. This evening around 10:00 pm 5/31/2022, I was at the Weslaco Westgate Location #07/ 485. I had been loading my items onto the belt, cashier (Mari) was scanning the items and someone else was bagging them and placing them in the cart. As I finished paying for my items. I notice that not all my items had been placed in my cart, I asked the cashier (Mari) if she was going to do it or if I had to do. She said it was not her job it's the CSA. No one else was waiting in line, she then said she was blocked in by an unattended cart next to her. I would have to do it or if I wanted to speak to a manager. I felt that she felt entitled, that nothing would be done to her by me complaining. I couldn't believe how rude and obnoxious she was. I did speak with a manager; I gave my name and number and I hope that someone would be contacting me tomorrow.
Desired outcome: I would like for you all to speak with her and I would like an apology.
HEB Frosted Flake Cereal
While eating the cereal on May 30, 2023, I bit down on a metal pin. It punctured the roof of my mouth but luckily I did not swallow it.
The cereal was purchased at the Bulverde HEB.
Spoiled Food
Lately I've noticed that my nearest HEB (I-35 & 3009) has spoiled food. I've been shopping there for more than 20 years. Usually there's no issue. It seems like the meat/fish depts are selling meats and fish that are old/spoiled. I opened one package of tripas that was so bad that the odor instantly made me want to hurl. I had to refreeze it in double zip lock bags until trash day. I purchased a pound of Mahi Mahi three weeks ago and it was bad. Also the fruit and vegetable dept has the same issue. I purchased some mushrooms that were spoiled last week. Two weeks ago I purchased some grapes that were already had some sort of moss/mold on them. These issues have just started happening over the past month or two. Even the bread is not as fresh anymore. Something has changed. I dont trust anything I buy from there anymore. I'm finding myself really checking everything closely now. It's kind of sad. Did management change? Did HEB change its quality policies?
