Horrible gift
Sooo much to write. Horrible gift was received. Wrong gift. Rotten fruit. Customer service horrible. Ruined my daughter bday surprise today. Ordered early. Completely wrong Gift Golf set for my daughter.. Weird your company doesn't even know what goes out. I have emailed. Many times. Pleasecall me 602/690/2626.excuse. Thank you.
Wine cart gift basket
Dear Sir/Madam,
I was looking to send a gift to my son in Texas. I found your company online and, after reading your reviews, I decided to order a gift for him through you.
The product I selected was The Wine Cart Gift Basket, costing $69, 99. I chose to enhance the gift by selecting an extra bottle of wine, the Protocolo Tempranillo, costing an extra $16.00. A total of $85, 99. My son has received the gift and he sent me a photo of the contents. Imagine my surprise when the photo contained only one bottle of wine (the one I had added to the order) and there was no sign of the wine cart. Some of the items shown on your website had clearly been replaced by other products - this I can accept as, perhaps due to lack of availability, you had to substitute certain items. What I cannot accept is the missing bottle of Shiraz & the wine cart, both as advertised as being part of the gift basket.
I look forward to hearing from you with your explanation and what you are proposing to do about it.

As yet I have not had the courtesy of a reply but after reading countless terrible reviews, which sadly I hadn't seen before placing my order (I had only seen the good reviews on Hazelton's site) I will not be holding my breath while I wait. Hindsight is a wonderful gift, eh?
Today 19-Dec-20 I received a request for a review on the product I had ordered. I marked it one star but wished I could have given it minus stars.
Did I get a response to the review? Yes but clearly an auotmated reply as they thanked me for my bad review! In it I was offered a $10 discount on a $125 purchase, valid for the next 10 days. This must be the joke of the year and it's been one hell of a year, hasn't it?
I'm not sure if you're able to do anything about this on my behalf but I thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Customer service
I recently moved to Alberta from Ontario and since I can't spend the holidays with my family, I decided to place 7 orders in November for delivery this and last week, totally $663.58.
One order is lost in a warehouse somewhere in Ottawa and all the other orders which were scheduled for delivery today have not even been picked.
I am currently on hold with them for the 3rd time and each time, it's been over an hour that I wait for someone to answer me. Twice they hung up with me.
I've used their "chat" but they've only replied after a few days.
Now I just want to cancel and get a refund. This has been the most frustrating experience I've had and their customer service and owners do not take any accountability.
Holiday gift baskets for 150 employees
I am so disappointed in the appalling customer 'service' this company provides.
I spent a small fortune ordering over 150 employee gift baskets for the holidays in november.
All this week, i've called and held, called and elected to have someone get back to me, emailed and tried online chat to get an address changed. Nothing, nada. Today after 40+ minutes in the que, I finally got to speak to a rep, told me he'd look for my order and then threw me back in the que.
My company spent a small fortune, and I filled out the csv bulk order form, only to find out today that baskets are being sent out as from me and not the custom gift card verbiage I requested for my company (which I had to enter 150 x's on the spreadsheet).
Pathetic!
Sweet breakfast gift basket
The basket we ordered online looked nothing like the basket our customer received. It looked like a kid just through items in a cheap dollar store basket! It was embarrassing to us what our customer received!
The response from their customer service was also an auto response which shows they don't care at all.

Large order for company gift cards
We placed a large order ($26, 500) for gift cards for employees. Some gift cards wouldnt work, they dont allow shipping to be used on their gift cards, baskets received late, damaged with unusable items. Complaints via calls ad emails went unanswered. Horrible items with horrible customer service. There were several gift cards unused. Would like the money back for them as they arent able to use them without putting in their own money into the gift.
2 Packages totally f'd up!

Esperanza I can not give a review as I did not receive a colorful box of dipped chocolates strawberries. I received two boxes taped together of foil wrapped Carmel toffee. They were in a basket with three magazines...so apparently they shipped an incorrect order obviously shipped someone else's order to me. I would probably call them with this new information. ;)

Really! My advice to all is stay away from Hazelton's. You will definitely be disappointed. Sadly, before I knew of their incompetencies I purchased a package for my nephew and fiance which I'm sure was botched up as when I was contacted by them, they made no mention of the beautiful fruit, just the Rose bottle.

Nature’s bounty gift basket order# hu547222
The shipment arrived with the plants knocked over and spoiled fruit. I ordered it on 6 Nov for a 7 Nov delivery which they offered. The basket arrived 9 Nov with plant dirt spelled throughout the basket, there was obvious moisture in the plastic and the fruit was rotten and covered in soil.
Of course I asked for a refund and was sent an email telling me no since the FAQ site warns of shipping produce. This is a company who ships plants and produce!
I expect a total refund or any other option to ensure my $90 got something other than a darn balloon!
Gift baskets
These people are crooks. Made order for over $500 for several gift baskets (wine, beer, champagne...etc) What arrived was a couple cans of local beer and some cheap doritos. Less than $20 value! Made legal claim against company and filed with bank for refund. These people should not be in business. This was embarrassing to whom I ordered for. Please save your money and shop elsewhere!
False advertisement
I ordered a gift box of pears covered in chocolate, I didn't receive what I was expecting, The box came with 6 plain pears in a plastic bag, a bar of chocolate and a small box of 6 truffles. The truffles were horrible, old and hard to eat.
They didn't tell me what the substitute products could be, so, they send whatever they wanted, also, it cost USD 50 for 6 plain pears that I can buy at the supermarket for USD 5.
Substituted bags of chips for gift basket of chocolate covered apples

I had ordered a gift basket of chocolate covered apples. I never received notice that they were substituting with bags of chips and nuts for the apples. They never sent shipping details. The recipient had to let me know they received it. They can't eat chips and nuts so just gave them away. Customer service was non existent. Just got standard emails back when asked for a refund. Never buy from this company!
Gift basket
Awful service. Basket was delivered on the wrong day. Many products were replaced and I was never contacted. The chocolate was spoiled. It was dry and tasted horrible. I contacted their support but they didn't get back to me. I wish I had read all the bad reviews they have. The product they deliver is nothing like advertised. I had to throw away have of the products because they were garbage.
Champagne with flowers bereavement gift
I purchased a bereavement gift for my friend who had recently lost her father. I ordered, what was sold as a package, a bottle of champagne and a flower arrangement. To that I added a second bottle of champagne. I also paid for next day shipping. The order did not arrive the next day and when it did arrive the carton it came in was completely broken with nails popping out of it. The flowers were dead and the water from the flowers had spilled all over the champagne boxes causing them to buckle. When my friend called to report this no one answers the phone. My friend emailed and was working with Oscar who said that I shouldn't have sent a perishable item with boxes of champagne. The website sells this as a SET! He further offered to provide her with replacement items of her choosing so she chose several gourmet snack items. The next day an order came and not ONE of the items she requested was sent to her. Instead the company sent random items of their choosing. My friend emailed Oscar to advise what had happened and to ask why the items she chose were not sent to her and he NEVER responded to her email. The whole situation was just awful and this company has the worst customer service I've ever seen! Further if perishable items shouldn't be sent with champagne do not offer that package on the website! Disgusting.
Gift basket
I bought a basket for my wife's birthday surprise. It came with rotten fruit. I also paid for an upgraded cheese which I spent over $12 extra for. I got a provolone cheese when I asked for the upgraded cheddar. There was no ice pack in the box. No telling how long the cheese had been warm. I had to throw it out. I emailed the pics of everything and asked for a partial refund. They replied with the fine print of "buy purchasing, I agreed to substitutions." They never even addressed the warm cheese and rotten fruit. I paid $105 for this basket and they offered no refund.

Monroe country fruit basket
I was stupid enough to order this basket for my friend. They asked for delivery date. Then without even trying to contact me they put organic fruits in a FedEx box and shipped them to my friend. 10 days later she got a huge mess of rotten fruits. I realized my mistake 2 days after shipping and contacted these people asking to cancel the delivery (it still had 7 days to be delivered). The answer I got - we can Not compensate you"! I was not asking about compensation, I was asking to cancel the delivery of rotten fruits to my friend! No answer to my 2nd email. This is a shame! And yes, they are deleting my review!
I would like to know the outcome of this? this man is a criminal! he has done this with his other fake companies also. I intend to file a police report for theft from the u.s.! and credit card fraud is a felony here, which is exactly what he does.
Delivery date not match - product damaged not matched
We've ordered Chocolate Sweetheart Cupcakes & Champagne package and also upgraded it with the flowers. This supposed to be a wedding surprise for our son since due to the COVID19 restrictions we weren't able to be with him on his wedding day.
The package arrived 2 days later. I was tracking a package from UPS website and seen scheduled late delivery date from. I was trying to contact Hazelton's support, but it was absolutely worthless. I was not able to talk to a person, but receive multiple emails with identical reply "Unfortunately, we're unable to cancel, refund, or modify your order any further as it has already been dispatched from our shipping facility/warehouse and we no longer have access to the product".
The basket arrived two days later then promised in the order. All flowers, and cupcakes were smashed. It's also has a black bow (as a funeral?).

Gift basket containing food
I paid for a gift basket w/ packaged foods for my sister in Tucson, AZ (Order #HU532994 - [JBM-RSMMC-597]). The box arrived damaged and most of the food was inedible because of heat/spoilage.
I contacted Hazleton's via e-mail 3 times: 28 June, 29 Jun, and today 2 Jul. I explained the problem and that I wanted my money refunded. They refused, claiming the problem was my fault because I chose the wrong shipment option. In a nutshell, they sent food that required refrigeration to Tucson (avg temp last week 105F) in a poorly packed box without thermal protection, even though we specifically asked them in the special instruction to be sure to cool it because it was going to AZ--and they never contacted us to alert us to the potential for spoilage or to ask if we wanted to pay more (we surely would have).
As to the package: 1) The box arrived damaged and looked like it had been mishandled by UPS. It was also left in the sun without a signature being required per the instructions. 2) Everything inside the box that contained liquid was uncomfortably hot to the touch; the meats in supposedly vacuum-sealed plastic packaging were hot and soft and the fats had started to run (and one of them was labeled "keep refrigerated"); and the cheeses in their packages had mostly liquified. My sister deemed all of the non-grain items inedible and intended to discard all of it, basket and all. I asked her to wait in case the company wanted it back and in my e-mail on 28 June I told them it would be available for pick up by UPS. After I responded to Quinton's excuses and refusal, I did not hear back from him.
Frankly, I could not be less satisfied with any part of this adventure. Hazleton's business practices border on shysterism and their lack of customer-centric focus--and unwillingness to make this right--is IMO a sad indictment of the character of the people who own and run the company. Cold legalism in response to customer dissatisfaction may be how some companies do things, but the biggest companies like Amazon, AT&T, Microsoft, and Apple learned years ago that customer satisfaction is ALL that matters. All they had to do was offer to meet me at least halfway--or to perhaps refund the cost of the items that were spoiled. I would have considered that fair. As is, today I contacted my bank to seek a chargeback. Also, my sister refused to keep the spoiled food any longer and discarded everything yesterday so it would go out with the trash today. I have photos of the products (showing the state and labels), the box as delivered, and the items in the trashcan.
I really wish I'd done a review search on google before giving these people my money. They have a terrible reputation across the board. Don't be foolish like I was. Send a gift card or something to a local specialty market!

I ordered a gift basket on 6/24/20 as a birthday surprise from the Hazelton's CA website. My order (HU33337) was to be delivered 6/26/20 the birthday of a friend. After the order was paid and completed I received notification that the order would not be delivered until the following Tuesday 6/30/20. To date 7/1/20, the order has not been delivered. At the bottom of my receipt it states "Please do not hesitate to give us a call at [protected] if you have any questions." That number is a voicemail that instructs customers to email the company for customer service. The email is a "live agent" that does not respond. I can't seem to contact anyone.
