Hillshire Farm Thin sliced roast beef lunch meat and ham

I purchase your lunch meat over the store brand because I felt it would be fresher and last. On several occasions this statement was not true. Just on monday I purchased the roast beef, made my husband sandwiches a couple of different days, and then tonight I went to use the roast beef and it is rancid! I wrap the remaining lunch meat in plastic after opening it and this should never never happen. The use by date is november 12, 2023 code [protected]. Ya know groceries are already way too expensive and when you have to throw things out it makes it worse. Like I said this isn't the first time this has happened and it's always the roast beef and the ham. I have never had any issues with the turkey but who wants just turkey all the time. I should be able to purchase your product and so long as it is stored correctly it should last. Very disappointing, going back to store brand at least its cheaper.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response, an apology and a refund but more than anything make your lunch meat right so it lasts more than 3 or 4 days!!!

On October 2nd, I purchased 2 mega packs of oven roasted turkey breast lunch meat. I put them in the refrigerator as soon as they were delivered by the St. Marys, PA, Wal-Mart. In three days, both unopened packages, in each pack, had expanded and blew the tops off of the packs. I threw both packages in the trash to be on the safe side. Both had an...

Is Hillshire Farm Legit?

Hillshire Farm earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.

Our conclusion: After a detailed review, ComplaintsBoard finds Hillshire Farm to be a trustworthy company. Although there's a 6% resolution rate for customer complaints, which deserves attention, Hillshire Farm is known for their high standards and safety. If you're thinking about dealing with Hillshire Farm, it's wise to check how they handle complaints.

We found clear and detailed contact information for Hillshire Farm. The company provides a physical address, phone number, and 2 emails, as well as 4 social media accounts. This demonstrates a commitment to customer service and transparency, which is a positive sign for building trust with customers.

Hillshirefarm.com has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.

Hillshirefarm.com has been deemed safe to visit, as it is protected by a cloud-based cybersecurity solution that uses the Domain Name System (DNS) to help protect networks from online threats.

Hillshirefarm.com you are considering visiting, which is associated with Hillshire Farm, is very old. Longevity often suggests that a website has consistently provided valuable content, products, or services over the years and has maintained a stable user base and a sustained online presence. This could be an indication of a very positive reputation.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

  • While Hillshire Farm has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 6% of 64 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
  • Hillshire Farm protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.

Hillshire Farm litl Cheddar Smokies

Have you changed the preservative used for the litl'l cheddar smokies? I have been buying these consistently for a couple years but the ones I bought a couple weeks ago are different. They're a little bigger and the color is lighter, and they're extremely slimy. They smell fine so I can't tell if it's the preservative or if they're spoiled. They have an expiration date of 10/13/23. I bought 5 packages and after noticing this in the first package I opened the other 4 and they're all the same. Slimy and unappetizing. Throwing these right in the trash and if this is what I can expect going forward with this product I won't be buying more.

Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response.

I just bought 2 large packages of the regular L’il Smokies sausages yesterday that had good expiration dates. I heated a handful in the microwave this morning and noticed every one in the entire package was covered in this same slime-like gelatin.

These have GOT to be the worst things around. They are nothing but grizzle and bone.
If I lived close enough to my grocery to return the 2nd package that I'd bought, I would do that. As it is, I am not going back to the grocery until next month. They were not a cheap purchase. I'd like my money back!

Hillshire Farm Smokey ham and cheddar sandwiches

I purchased two sandwiches at circle k store. I love these sandwiches that I always buy two. Well when I opened them of course the meats are thin but at least put more than one slice and don't just put a couple of torn pieces. I got robbed. With the meat they put in all 2 packages I made just one half of a sandwich. I barely got any meat and I mean barely. I don't think ill be buying any more unless I get answers or my money hack. That's a shame workers are skimming and possibly hurting the company. Bu/ how can I get reimbursed if no email to input or my info to input.

Desired outcome: Money back or 2 free sandwich packages

Hillshire Farm Pastrami

I bought a container of your pastrami and was very disappointed. It was full of gristle. I am a Senior on a fixed income and cannot waste money, especially with the price of food. If I wanted an inferior product, I would have bought the cheap stuff. Maybe that's what I'll do from now on. It was bought at Walmart in Dundock, Md on Friday, May 18. The UPC code is [protected].

Desired outcome: I want my money back or coupon of equal value.

Hillshire Farm Hillshire Farm Turkey Sausage

I was cooking dinner and cutting up the sausages. While cutting I started to notice dark green/gray color spots in a few pieces of the sausage. Not sure what it was I cut a piece out and looked closer. It looked like it could be sort of bacteria, mold, mildew or something worse. I’m not sure what it was I am considering sending it out to get tested.

Desired outcome: The sausages need to be recalled and inspected. Clean your machines better to insure no cross contamination with other toxins.

Hillshire Farm Beef lil smokies

I used to eat these as a kid. They were amazing with bbq sauce. Then I ate them as an adult. I officially do not eat hillsboro farm crap. Thers bones and gristle, tendons and this product also contains sodium nitrate; causes parkinson’s and alzheimer’s. Sodium erythorbate; causes kidney stones. Sodium diaconate; toxicity level 2. Mono sodium glutamate; causes obesity and reproductive harm. And sodium phosphate causes kidney damage and can kill you.

How tf do people eat this garbage. Its literally healthier to eat your own poopy!

Desired outcome: Tell people what’s in their food.

Hillshire Farm Honey Ham Ultra-Thin 32oz

I purchased Honey Ham ultra-thin 32 oz package (upc [protected]) from BJ's in Webster, NY. The product shows the following on the side plastic "Use by Mar 04 23, EST. 89A FF39." The meat smells fine but has soft white globs all over it and the meat is slimy. Both packages have a lot of this white material on it. I buy this meat a lot, have never seen this before, and am not willing to eat it or give it to my dogs.

Desired outcome: Refund or coupon to obtain another 32oz package.

Hillshire Farm Roasted turkey lunch meat

I purchased a container of roasted Turkey lunch meat that was supposed to be sliced thin, however when I opened the container and the plastic it was in what I got was shredded Turkey meat there wasn’t a single full slice in the container. It looked as if it was all the left over shavings that fell after the turkey was sliced. That is totally unacceptable being that the cost is extremely high for this little pack.

Desired outcome: At the best a coupon for a replacement container

Hillshire Farm Hillshire farms, ultrathin, deli, sliced oven, roasted turkey breast

Although the product label said that it was good until February 2023 (which I found incredible) when I ate some of that last night. Unfortunately, after I had already swallowed some of it, it was found to be slimy and this morning I am feeling sick and have already vomited.

This incident took place on the evening of 12/29/2022

Hillshire Farm Ultra thin roast beef family size

I purchased this roast beef from Walmart in Walterboro SouthCarolina, for around $8.00 ($7.48 + tax). This was cold when I bought it, and kept cold. Everything was well sealed. I opened the sealed pack and it smelled odd and was slimy. I tasted a pinch and had to spit it out. I don't know if it's ruined or what was wrong with the taste but it smelled and tasted like it is bad. I had to throw it out. The use by date is Dec. 5, 2022. It was opened today. The package reads: EST 89 4

19:27.

Desired outcome: Please refund my money.

Hillshire Farm Spoiled / chemical smell / overpriced

I have had this happen twice. Roast Beef and Smoked Ham, all tainted. I purchased the Smoke Ham on October 24, 2022, with Buy Before Date of December 9th, 2022. The packages were unopened. I opened the Roast Beef a week later, and it has an odor, and the taste was far from Roast Beef. texture was slimy, and shiny. A far cry from "true" Roast Beef. This meat is made from a mold (meat by products), and not real meat.

The same applied to the Smoked Ham. That too had a chemical odor, awful to the taste, fatty, and again a slimly texture.

Once, maybe a coincidence, but twice, a true error. With this to consider, I have reported these issues to the Food & Drug administration for further investigation. I have also taken the liberty of contacting the BBB, and the State Attorney General where the headquarters is located, and in my home state. in the headquarters. Since the pandemic, Hillshire Farms has increased their product price by three dollars, "I am sick of this Price Gouging act!" I don't mind paying more for quality, but this is far from being quality meats. I have better things to spend my money on, like real deli meat. And you know what? There isn't much of a price difference. We're talking a few cents.

Desired outcome: We'll let the Food and Drug Administration decide on that.

Hillshire Farm Family size ultra thin roast beef

We bought your product family size ultra thin roast beef to make a dish for our weekly Sunday family dinner. Our 5 year old grandson started choking, his mother cleared his airway and we found plastic ! We began looking thru the dish and found much more plastic. We will be throwing what we have in the freezer out. I'm absolutely furious that Hillshire farms would put my family's lives at risk like this ! We have always been pleased with the product until now.

Hillshire Farm Honey Ham lunchmeat 9oz package

On 10/13/22, I purchased the 9 oz package of Honey Ham lunchmeat from the Kroger at 134 Banks Crossings in Fayetteville, GA 30214. I paid $4.79. plus 7% sales tax. I had a sandwich with 2 or 3 slices about two days later. The meat was fine. A few days later, I went to get a few slices. They were about 60 or 70% fat. There were great big clumps of fat, not just fat running through the meat. I found it inedible. I actually gave the rest of the package to my dogs. I wish I had thought to take a picture; the globs of fat would have been evident.

The numbers above the scan bars are [protected]/1920099. The bar code numbers are [protected] 9.

I usually love your products, but this time, someone failed to carve the fat off the meat!

Sincerely,

Sally Wallace

Desired outcome: I believe I, at least, deserve the purchase price returned. I will take the refund in a check or coupons.
