VIN # *** The dealer didn't honor the college grad rebate even though I qualified. They said they couldn't because of the financing structure, but I had no preference for financing and ended up going through HMF, so I should have qualified. I would have done anything to get the college grad rebate, but the dealer wanted their kickback or whatever you guys call it. I also qualified for the dealer choice cash posted on the website expiring Jan 31, 2022, which they didn't honor. On the phone, they said they would give me MSRP, but in reality, they gave me MSRP with the clean vehicle $750 rebate, and they weren't upfront about this at the dealership. They were rude when I brought it up and just tried to avoid my questions. They also didn't detail the car. They didn't accept credit card for a small down payment, even though I was initially told they would up to a certain limit. Finally, to make my new car buying experience even worse, they also didn't give me a full battery charge as should be included with the bill of sale. I had 65 miles of charge when I bought the car and had to go immediately to a self-charging station, never having done this before, at 10pm at night. Please fix all of this.
On Oct 28, I started lookin for a new car
On Oct 28, I started lookin for a new car. I used a service called *** to help me find the best price. If a dealer wants to use that service they must sell the car at the price quoted to the client. Hyundai of Gilroy advertised a *** for $29,126.46 due at signing. The cash price was $26,568 which excluded taxes, fees and accessories. The deal summary which included everything, taxes etc was $29126.46. We were doing this all over internet. We signed everything via the docu-sign system. I was not provided the sticker price of the car until the car was delivered to me, so I was not aware of the up-price. When I looked at it I discovered they raised the price by $140.00, The sticker was $27,500 and the price sheet was $27,640. I talked to the sales person who delivered the car and he said there was a mistake. I asked him where are the floor mats and he did not know. I said forget the over charge and just send me the floor mats. So far after 6 calls and many e-mails no one there is responding. The finance person *** said he would take care of it but now he will not return my calls. Also the other add-ons like the trunk/cargo hook, first aid kit and cargo side bins were not there, but again I told the dealer to just give me the floor mats and I would be happy. My other issue, I have still not received the second key-fob for the car.
I started talkin' 'bout buyin' a car from Hyundai of Gilroy 'round 9/17
I started talkin' 'bout buyin' a car from Hyundai of Gilroy 'round 9/17. We did all the negotiatin' through textin' and a couple phone calls. They tried to trick me into payin' more money, but after I caught 'em, they agreed to give me some weather mats and a rear bumper thingy for free. We agreed on this through textin' as part of the deal. They brought the car to me on 9/17 and we finished all the paperwork. This guy ***, the salesman, told me he didn't bring the stuff he promised, but he said he'd bring 'em later. I got a video of him sayin' he'd bring 'em right after deliverin' the car. I also noticed that the owner's manual was missin' from the car. He said he'd send me one along with the other stuff. But for the past 6 weeks, I've been askin' 'em many times for the things I was supposed to get (the mats and the bumper thingy that were part of the deal, and the owner's manual that comes with every new car). Sometimes he don't even bother respondin', and other times he makes excuses or says they're in the mail. Just recently, I asked 'em multiple times for trackin' info, but he couldn't or wouldn't give me anythin'. It's been almost two months since I bought the car, and I'm losin' hope that I'll ever get any of the things they promised me. I just want my mats, bumper thingy, and owner's manual. The first two were part of the deal, and the third is somethin' that should've been in the car. If you can help me get these things, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

These guys are scammers and not even good ones at that
These guys are scammers and not even good ones at that. They messed up and didn't keep their promise about the delivery time. I told them I wouldn't buy from them and to cancel the contract. But they ignored me and decided to go ahead with the paperwork and even tried to deliver the car without my permission, knowing I wouldn't be home because of my long shifts. They just wanted an excuse to call me, so they left a voicemail long after I canceled. The voicemail said the contract was done and the car was on its way, and they wanted to make sure I would be there, even though they knew I was at work. I had to call back, even though I told them I couldn't make personal calls during my shift. The person I spoke to tried to act like he didn't know what was going on at first. I was really upset and told him that the sales manager and the salesman who messed up knew I canceled. Then I hung up. He called back and had the nerve to say I sounded upset and he didn't know why. I told him again that I canceled, but he tried to be smooth (and failed) and then he tried to say that because I sent a picture of my ID, I had to buy the car. But I never saw a contract, never signed anything, and I said many times that I wouldn't buy from them. This guy basically tried to force me into buying it. I'm going to contact my bank and other agencies because this was obviously an attempt to commit fraud and steal my money.
I brung my 2013 Hyundai Sonata to Hyundai of Gilroy on 10/15 cuz the engine was makin' a knockin' noise
I brung my 2013 Hyundai Sonata to Hyundai of Gilroy on 10/15 cuz the engine was makin' a knockin' noise. They told me there was metal in the engine 'cause of some warranty problem that Hyundai got sued for, and they said I needed a new engine. They said I gotta do more tests to be sure, but if I do need a new engine, it's gonna be free 'cause of the lawsuit and warranty. They told me not to drive my car 'cause the engine could die anytime. But when I said I gotta drive back home to San Jose, which is 'bout 40 minutes away, they just told me to drive slow. They wouldn't keep my car at the dealership and they couldn't give me a rental car that day. I called Hyundai headquarters, but they weren't helpful. They said they'll only pay for a rental car after I get my car back, and they won't pay for the rental while I'm waitin' for the second test. 'Cause I was workin' an hour away from the dealership, I had to get my car towed over the weekend before my Monday appointment. But nobody told me the service department was closed, so I couldn't get a rental car that day. Now I gotta pay over $*** for rental and towing, and I won't get it all back. My car sat at the dealership for a whole month before they finally said they'll replace the engine on 11/18. Since then, I've been callin' the service tech *** over and over again to check on my engine. He usually answers after I call 'bout 4 or 5 times. It's 1/20/2022 now, and I don't live in the Bay Area no more, but I still ain't got my car back. Nobody can tell me when I'll get it back or what's goin' on.
I'm the second owner of a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport
I'm the second owner of a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. When I bought my car, there were no recalls listed for my VIN number. But within 30 days, a lawsuit was settled with Hyundai Motors and I never got a recall notification. So I had no clue about the recall until my engine died while I was driving on the highway. I had been driving the Hyundai Santa Fe for almost a year, taking good care of it and making my payments on time. When I contacted Hyundai and gave them my VIN, they told me to take my car to the Hyundai dealership for inspection. The inspection records showed that my engine died because of the faulty knock sensor issue mentioned in the recall. But since I didn't get the update for recall 953, Hyundai won't cover the repairs for my car. I don't know if the dealership I bought from did something wrong or if the first owner got the recall notice. It's frustrating because I'm still paying for a car that doesn't work, and Hyundai won't help. My car just sat there for months without a loaner car offered. And I've had to spend thousands of dollars on towing and rental fees. If you want more details and documents, I'm happy to provide them. Please help me get some justice in this situation! 08/06/22: Dropped off my car at Hyundai Gilroy and checked in. 09/13/22: Got an email with an estimate and my car was checked in by the service manager. *** 10/5/22: Called and sent emails asking for an update or timeline. No responses. 10/13/22: Called and sent emails asking for an update or timeline. No responses. 10/25/22: Called and sent emails asking for an update or timeline. The service manager *** called and asked for my maintenance documents, which I sent right away via email. 11/4/22: Got an email saying the recall warranty was denied.
