ICICI Bank poor service!

I have a icici credit card and I am using this card till december 2005. When I got the statement of april 2007 I am shocked because in this statement 5 entries are located on line air tickets purchases which is I am not doing. Immediately I blocked my card on 1/5/2007 and register a complaint in ICICI customer care center. My complaint No. is SR-[protected].On 3/5/07 I send a written complaint to ICICI bank.On 18/5/07 bank will send me a latter again I am shocked because bank will told me one transaction is in banks favor. This the biggest entire of 5 disputed transactions. Banks statement dated 26/5/07 was very vague & complicated. In this statement bank will demanding me Rs-16,099/-. When I ask about above statement in customer care center or in branch they cant give me any satisfied answer. At last I send a legal notice to ICICI bank on 13/7/07 however no reply is given till today. I send my complaint to RBI also. When RBI mail ICICI bank one of the unit manager of ICICI bank (pune Br.) will call me and says pay the outstanding amount otherwise recovery agent will send in my house.Bank will now harass me by calling me or send their recovery agents. I register a complaint in Commissioner of Police pune. If any one of you face same problem aof ICICI bank please mail me. My mail ID is [protected]@rediffmail.com.

I am an Indian living in the USA.My ICICI account is in India with Maratha Mandir Branch, Mumbai.Due my inability to operate this account while abroad it became dormant.I treid to get this activated and called up ICICI call centre.My old father went to their branch in Patna too to find out how to get it activated.I was told to submit documents to maratha m. branch, which i did by post and sent an e-mail too containing scanned documents.however it's almost 6 months but not even a single word from them.I have tried calling again and again and my father visited their patna branch again, but now we are running in circles, while ICICI bank is enjoying my money rotting in their bank.I would recommend all NRIs to be very careful of this branch.Their service is the poorest of all banks I have ever dealt with.

On May 5th 07, I had deposited at Bhandarkar Road Branch a high value cheque towards a property transaction. The said cheque was debited form the drawee account on 17th. May 2007. My account is at Kondhwa Branch, but I had used the facility of inter branch services of ICICI>

After regular follow-up of the standard reply of chech with us after 3-4 days, which went on till I approached the Customer Service Dept. Mgr. Ramayya M, who incidently asked me to produce the debit proof from the drawee bak.

After a number of trips towards follow-up, the account was credited on 21st. morning, debiting nearly Rs.10,000 towards cheque clearance charges.

I have lost interest of nearly Rs.15,000/- and along with the standardized word 'apologize' , they had given me a service request no SR28609797, with a single line statement of 'we will be contacting you within 2days'.

I am multi services user of this bank.

There are issues that I am facing through your bank, due to which it is causing me mentally disturbance. Here I am giving the issues as follows:

1. Credit Card Balance Transfer Problem (BT Ref No. [protected])

May Month I asked the balance transfer from Credit Card No.[protected] for Rs.50, 000/- (Rupees Fifty thousand only) and the credit limit for this card is Rs.56, 300/- but when I received the next month statement there is no entry regarding this balance transfer amount. I am holding one more credit card no. [protected] and the credit limit for this card is Rs.10,000/- only and when I received this month statement I was shocked to see that the balance transfer amount entry is given in this credit card statement with all your banking charges. As per your banking rules no one can get more than 80% of the credit limit as balance transfer but in the statement it is showing 5 times more balance transfer of the credit limit. How can that be possible? In this regard I had talk with your customer care help line, but they are not giving me the solution in regard this problem, every one takes the note of the problem and tells that they will have a talk with their higher authority and get back to me taking my contact number, but still I have not received any call from u r banking persons. I have a note of the persons too whom I had a talk and told them the issue and they noted and told that they will call but no response here I am giving you the details of few persons with whom I had talk are as follows: DEEPAK-BOMBAY on 13th June 2007 at 12.15 PM, SOWPNA-HYDERABAD on 13th June 2007 at 4.00 PM, GANESH- BOMBAY on 18th June 2007 at 12.00 Noon.

2. PERSONAL LOAN Problem (PL Ref No.LPCHE00010564363)

I got a preapproved personal loan call from your bank in reference of my Credit Card No.[protected] for Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only) with 1% as Service Charge Plus Service Tax Extra, but when I received the loan amount I got only Rs.4,88,764/- with 2% Service Charge Plus Service Tax less the amount. In regards to this issue when I had a talk with u r customer care help line number no body is giving response in this regard. Even after this I have not received any documents in regards to loan repayment date and schedule. I have a track of persons who were behind this forgery of 1% Service Charge plus service taxes are as follows: SRIKANTH- SALES MANAGER LOANS from ALWARPET BRANCH - IVCH, CHENNAI. HIS CONTACT NUMBER [protected], RAMESH – TEAM LEADER CONTACT NUMBER [protected], N.SEBASTIAN - SALES EXECUTIVE CONTACT NUMBER [protected].

Its more than one month on the website of ICICI Bank, the website does not work properly. Anyone who relies on their internet banking facility is completely pissed off because it always gives only and only one message that your session expired. When you contact on the 24 hours customer care services, you will get only one reply that try after some time or register the complaint. There are other horrible issues of the bank staff treating NRI customers so badly. No proper response. The management is deaf and blind and instead of consolidating on its services, goes on aggressive marketing for exploiting customers. There is no word like "Customer satisfaction" in the dictionary of ICICI Bank.

Avoid ICICI Bank in all circumstances.

I had submitted the request for the changing my Demat Account password on 20th August and was told that it will be done in 7 working days. When I called to inquire about the same after 15 days I was told that the request was rejected and I have to fill the application again.

1) Why was it rejected when the official at the Mohali Phase 7 Branch had told me that it will be updated according to my Savings bank Account.
2) Why was I not informed about the rejection.

Then I submitted a fresh request on 6th September and was assured that it will be done within 3 days and when I called after 3 days they said it has been updated on Demat Account but not on online trading which incidentally I will need to have updated before I can get a fresh password. (That's why it all started). So after talking to a supervisor at Hyderabad center on 11th Sept I was assured that it will be done within 2 days and when I called on 14th morning to check they sd it will take 7-10 days for it to be updated and the Executive (Syed Hassan) at first bluntly declined bringing the supervisor online and when the so called Customer care manager (Shaik Fareed both at hyderabad center) came online he was not much help and was outright rude to say the least. In this age of technology I have been waiting to get my address updated for my demat Account for abt 25 days now so that I can apply for a new password( which I didn't know will take how many more night marish calls) and sitting on a quite volatile market having no choice but to watch my investment fall. I would like to file a complaint against ICICI for deficient service and also their contact center for providing the most Horrible customer service you can ever get.

Any other bank but not ICICI. Business with ICICI is a nightmare. They just cant place things right. Think thousand times before anybody banks with ICICI.

Presently I am posted with Milatary Hospital Ahmednagar maharastra I had payed 3750 Rs at ahmednagar brach to clsoe my saving and demat accts on 12 Nov 07 Mr Mayur who is handling the consernet table assured me that we are the appropreat authority to do the same. But since 12 NOV 2007, I am frequently visiting the branch Mr mayur as wel as Branch Manegar are not reddy to listen my problem and misbehavig me because again qeatrly charge give to me .

I visiting to pune branch Bund guarden on 24 Dec 2007 advised by branch ahmednagaralso.They told me that now Ahmednagar branch (where I deposited the of 3750/-) is responsible for yuor disposal.

Now after harassing by all , I reques you to look into the matter and solve problem as soon as posible.

ICICI Bank credit card payment dispute

Sub: Dispute with ICICI Bank regarding credit card

I am Gautam Kathuria R/o 764,Dr.Mukherjee Nagar,New Delhi.
I am a user of ICICI bank’s credit card since last two years. My credit card number is-[protected].

With the issue of card in Mar-Apr 2005, I started using it frequently but inspite of the usage I did’nt got any billing statement from them.I started getting calls from collection department(videocon tower,jhandewalan extn) in the very first month of issue of my credit card for my due payment so I told them and asked them for my statement so that I can pay my bill.But instead of issuing me the statement they send their agent personally to me to collect the amount and gave me the acknowledgment in that regard,they even apologized and promised me for the next month’s statement.
But unfortunately I didn't got the statements continuously for nine months,and they used to collect the amount personally with the same old apologies and stories.

I do have all the acknowledgments of the bills paid by me to their agents but after nine months when I got my first ever statement as on 18 Dec 2005 it was unfairly with Late payment fees and interest charges of Rs.3954 regarding previous nine months of certainly the amount which I already paid and having acknowledgments of them with me.
I called up again to make a complaint as I thought it would have been a result of a misunderstanding but my call had no result.

I again got one more billing statement next month and this time with increased outstanding late fees and interest charges of Rs.4398.As a result I again called up to them and an agent named Priya(Tel no [protected]) of collection department, Videocon tower,Jhandewalan Extention, suggested me and hence send to me a “Dispute Form” and asked me to submit it with a fees of Rs.510/- and assured to me that with this form all of the false charges made upon me till now will automatically get reversed. I didn't had any other option so I did filled the form and submitted it back with the fees on 10 Mar 2006.

But unfortunately this Dispute Form also didn't work and I continuously receiving the wrong billing statements. But I continued using my credit card because of their assurance to me that wrong charges will automatically get reversed. I never made any dispute regarding my payments and made them always on time. One day I made a heavy transaction of Rs.35000/- dated 10-10-2006 on my credit card and they offered me to give the payments in six installment of Rs 5835/- each with a processing fee of Rs.1950/- . I agreed to them for the sake of my convenience. After completion of all the six installments, I started getting dangerous threats from the agents named Ashish(tel no [protected] and [protected]) , Neeraj (mob no [protected]), of collection department , C.P. branch (as told to me).
I was always polite to them and tried to explain my problem to them in spite of their regular misbehavior on subsequent calls, but my words had no effect on them and they threatened me continuously till date.
Now the story has come to Rs.18000/- as continuous increase in late charges according to icici bank. As a result I again got a call from an agents named Neeraj and Ria of collection department at videocon tower (jhandewalan extn) and they asked me to visit their branch,if I wanted to clear my dues. I agreed and met them on [protected] at videocon tower branch. I explained the matter to Mr.Neeraj(mob no [protected]) and Mr.Vicky (work stat no 2D14 department credit card), they then verified the records and accepted their mistake and even apologized on behalf of icici bank for the inconvenience I am facing since a very long time.
But my satisfaction lasted for just few minutes because next was their demand from me for the whole amount of Rs.18000/- in spite of their apology. When I denied to them , they started negotiating with me and tried to settle the amount at Rs.10000/- ILLEGALLY. I rejected their negotiation and made up my mind to seek help from you.
I am totally disappointed and fed up with icici bank as this is the worst experience I ever had in my life.

Hi, my name is Yukti Jaiswal...ICICI bank has got a very poor credit card services. I have applied for coral visa card thrice but every time i didnt get any application number, thier executive also dont pick up the phone and whenever i call on customercare they say they didnt get my application and my documents. The have very poor services and i m very unhappy with this.

ICICI Bank interest rate hike without notice

Icici bank Loan application number: 4003678.
I would like to share my feelings on how i have been cheated by Icici bank. I am Srinivas Nallamothu, non-resident Indian applied for a home mortgage loan in February. I gave power of attorney to my father who is illiterate. The bank has interacted with me through e-mails and phone call and after i have submitted all the relevant documents (including legal verification), the bank has approved loan of Rs.18.30 lakhs at 11.25% rate of interest issued a sanction letter to me as well. Surprisingly, at the time of disbursement the rate increased to 12.25% and asked my father to sign in the letter as acknowledgment of receipt of disbursed cheque. But the fact that it was not the acknowledgment letter rather it was an agreement letter. As said above, my father is an illiterate and was unable to read the english script in the letter. Off late I have noticed the rate hike and immediate I have sent complaints to the concerned person in the branch, later complained to Head, customer service center in Mumbai. But no action from them and then I have a lodged a complaint at RBI Ombudsman in Hyderabad. Still no response from any party. Surprising last few weeks Icici customer service division started writing e-mails to me and explaining the concept of floating rates, PLR etc., I have told them that I am also a banker and need not fool me by saying FLR/PLR etc., Finally, today the customer service person phoned me and saying that they can't roll back the rate hike. I am exploring the options how to take the issue into public and protect my right. I was wondering whether any one can help me in this regard.

As an evidence of communication I am forwarding my e-mail conversation with the Bank.

I am also a victim of the ICICI bank home loan in vijyawada. Every time they are renaming their rate pattern and going on increasing the interest rate. Any one know the rate of interest is know 17.5 % now thery are offering me -4% after charging me around 3, 500 to move from one rate to other. Where as they are offering 10 to 11 % rate to new customers. After some time they are starting to cheat them too.

Dear Sir,

My Name is Melwyn Victor D'souza resident of Mumbai. There were three fraud transactions done using my credit card on 23rd May 2007 in Pune. This was on a ICICI bank Card No: 5176-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX on which the fraud transactions were done which I got from EXPRESS IT courier serivce in my office on 22nd May 2007. The card was not used by me after I got it from EXPRESS IT courier service. I was in my office in Thane when the transaction was done. I got messages on my cell that someone has used my card at PIRAMYD RETAIL summed to a total of INR 21,953 (At this time i was not aware it was done in Pune) I immediately called ICICI customer care and blocked the card. On the next day 24th May 2007 I went to MIDC police station not aware that the transaction was done in Pune. I had a discussion with PI Mr Ghoorao. He told me to settle the issue with the bank. I also visited ICICI bank on the same day JB nagar branch. I had a talk with Gloria and Shala from ICICI they told me not to raise an FIR and the bank will reverse all the charges incurred. On the same day I called ICICI bank and raised a dispute and also came to know that the transaction was done in Pune. I could take some sigh of relief as I knew that I had all the proofs that I was in office and faxed the first dispute letter ( Attached Doc: First_Dispute_Letter_With_Fax_Txm_Rpt_(Entire Case History).pdf). I thought ICICI bank will investigate the case and give me a proper resolution but instead of doing that they told me that the dispute went in favour of the bank and I will have to pay the amount.

After this I again raised a dispute (Attached Doc: Second_Dispute_Letter_Sent_To_ICICI_via_blue_dart.pdf) and also sent them the evidences to prove that I did not do the transactions.
Evidences:
1. Attached Doc: Attendance_Logs_With_Email_Used_To_Generate_From_Office.pdf
2. Attached Doc: Sign_From_All_My_Office_Colleagues_And_Seniors.pdf
3. I called the ICICI CC department for the first time when received the SMS's for the transaction to block the card. I used the CVV number to generate a Telephone PIN which also proves that I had the card in Thane in my office from where I called when the fraud transaction was made.
4. The card which I possessed is a fresh card that I received from ICICI bank on the 22nd MAY 2007. Since it was a swipe transaction there has to be swipe marks on the card that should be evident as there were three swipes done on 23 rd MAY 2007. But the card which It does not have the swipe marks. This proves that it is a fraud transaction. Please note that I still possess the card with me till date to also prove this.

During this period I also got Charge slips of the fraud transactions from ICICI bank which had all different signatures and signatures which are not mine.( Attached Doc: Charge_Slips_Of_Fruad_Trans_From_ICICI_Charge_Back_Dept.pdf). Also I had been getting calls from collections department to make the payment but I always told them that ICICI bank charge back department is investigating the case. After I got the charge slips from ICICI bank I visited MIDC police station on 3rd Aug 2007 with the evidences and letters sent to ICICI bank. They told me that since the fraud was done in pune which is out of MIDC police station jurisdiction I will have to put an FIR in Pune. They told me that they are ready to give an letter that states that I had visited MIDC police station on 24th May 2007 and 3rd Aug 2007 to discuss the case (I have the letter with me signed by MIDC police station PI one copy is with MIDC police station - taken on 23rd Aug 2007). Before this I was constantly getting calls from ICICI bank to make the payment.After this I visited ICICI bank JB nagar branch and had a talk with Mr Sanjay Pal on 21st Aug 2007 and showed him all the evidences he told me that he will take care of it and assured me that I will not be getting any calls from collections department. On 23rd Aug 2007 I again got a call from ICICI bank collections dept on 23rd August by Mr Vijay who told me that I have to make the payment of INR 21953 + Interest charges. On the same day I went to ICICI bank JB nagar branch and took my mother with me, my mother started shouting in the ICICI bank office and ICICI bank officials sent lady named Veena to talk with me and my mom and calm us down and who listened to our plea. After this she assured me that I wont get any calls from ICICI bank collections department. Also she called her boss Mr Krishna R he saw all the evidences and told me that he will look in to the matter and told that it will take some time to resolve the issue. He took all the letters and evidences plus a charge back form to resolve the issue.

I have been taking so much care in sending ICICI bank with all the evidences but ICICI bank does not respond to it and doesnot do proper investigation of the case. They might give me false promises. Suspecting this Immediately rushed to Pune with my mother to lodge and FIR in Bund garden police station who directed me to Council hall police Chowky. Listening to my case the PI of the police chowky directed me to Commissioner of Police, Cyber Cell department. I immediately rush to Cyber cell department where I had a talk with PI Mr. Kale. He saw all the proofs that I possessed with the unused card and told that the suspect could be either ICICI bank or Courier service EXPRESS IT. He told that it is a credit card cloning case and ICICI bank could have seen the CCTV logs present in Piramyd retail, Pune after I had raised a dispute with all the explanations on 24th May 2007. He also told me that I could have visited Cyber cell mumbai to lodge a complaint but I was unaware of this. I gave him a signed complaint against ICICI bank and EXPRESS IT courier with all the evidences. He told me that I may have to visit Pune if in case I am required and I told him that I will be more than happy to do that. He also directed me to talk to Mr. Mukhtar Shaikh, PSI from Mumbai Cyber Cell Dept.

I will also visit Cyber cell mumbai in next week to provide all the letters and evidences. And also to discuss the case and catch hold of the fraudster.

ICICI bank instead of investigating the case is giving me threatning calls to make the payment of INR 21,953 + Interest Charges. I didnot do the transactions and I will not make any payment.

I really appreciate the way Mumbai Police and Pune Police has seen my case. Thank you very much.

Hi,

I faced the same problem in 2007. The bank had issued a Add on card to someone who i did not even know. There were 2 cash withdrwals in the card and soon after, as i saw my online statement, I requested the bank to block the card.

The bank suggested that I pay all money. I refused and furnished all possible evidence suggesting that the card was issued to someone I did not even know. Someone from the bank visited me twice and later the collection guys came and threatened me for the money. WHen i tried to call the police, they ran away and never came back.

Even 2 years later I am receiving calls from the bank saying that they will send me summons and all that. I am decided that will not pay for the bank's foolishness of issuing add on cards. But the only problem is that my credit history is tarnished with The credit card bureua and i am not able to get any other credit card since last 2 years.

I was an ICICI patron before that. But this really was the worst thing a bank can do.

I am also facing same problem, infect I have called them so many time but they did not blocked the card. and even not ready to share his process and procedure through which they investigate. I feel so help less cant do any thing against them, I wish some one come forward and advise us how we can take this case forwarded against them.

ICICI Bank worst bank ever!

I have been using the card for more than 10 years or so... and i have been paying then regularly every time they call till day... about a year back i realized that i have been paying a lot of money to them... i have just used the card in the first year and ever since i have been keeping paying every single month. Anyways about a year back i told them i want to close their account and finish off the whole things... they have been charging me a lot of interest late payment charges every month and overdue and other charges too... i don't know why they charge all these i make my payment always in time... anyway i am gonna close this account and go to court to get justice... someone has to do something... its so sad why they loose good customers and charge like this...

Ranchi District Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum has issued branch managers of ICICI BANK, ICICI Credit Card and ICICI Lombard Insurance Company show-cause notices on the charges of illegal and unlawful withdrawals from the account of the respectable account holder Ashutosh Priya Kumar, Manager, SAIL.
The Forum recent orders on July 8 prior to the past hearings ordered opposite party number two to file a show cause for not appearing before the forum in the given time, opposite party number three to sought time to clarify the amount from office payments and opposite party number one to file a show cause for being absent on the recent hearing on July 8.
The forum in his most recent orders asked the branch managers to file the show cause, failing which the necessary orders of ex- parte would be passed on.
According to the complainant Ashutosh Priya Kumar, Manager, SAIL said, "He was requested to purchase an insurance policy by the company on April 16, 2007 but he declined so by sending an e-mail message on April 17, 2007. Later after eight months in January 2008 to his shock his ICICI bank account no. [protected] was nil as all the money had been debited from his account to the Insurance Company."
Later he was informed that two insurance policies were withdrawn on his name by the company instead he had never signed any documents or provided his PAN card number or given any relevant, authentic data.
A sum of amount 42, 000 was unlawfully withdrawn from his account and credit card. Adding to his misfortunes his son also had a retina detachment meanwhile, which had put him in great trouble during that time period.
Talking to The Pioneer Kumar seemed very disappointed and said, "These facilities are very helpful if the usage is done properly and people are not cheated in this manner. This is a great loss felt when you are seriously in need of money and unfortunately you undergo such tragedies."

This is certainly true... The banks customer service and collection depts are bland lazy to get the thing resolved. and they keep the payment overdues pushing over the billing date so that they can charge the overdue interest... Probably a letter to the MD of ICICI would solve this problem.

I am a subdealer of hero-honda motors ltd. For the last five years, I was working with the icici bank ltd., till november 2006. I have stopped working with the icici bank ltd. Since they have not given me the incentive forone year which amounts to around 44,000/- (Forty four thousand). I have spoke to the sales manager of icici bank ltd-two-wheelerloan - kolkata and requested them several times for paying me my incentive amount, but the sales manager & the bank does not responded to my request. Now I am hopeless & helpless. Please someone help me to take revenge against this icicibank.

ICICI Bank nightmare for opening a savings account

Have you ever imagined how funny it is to open a savings account with one of the leading pvt bank, as they boast, ICICI... The application was submitted on 5th July ,and after 20 days ICICI representative came back for some more signatures, assuring that the account will get activated within 2days. Again on 1st of August he came back for a nominee signature promising that account will be activated on 4th.

After a long wait, i went to the bank to deposit my cheque trusting ICICI that my account is activated.But i came to know that it is not yet. I called up immediately to customer care and found that my application was rejected on 27 th july. And i wonder why the guy from ICICI has taken 3 days to come back to me (i.e on 1st Aug), Instead it is still in the process and gives me a surprise. It is just a case of opening a savings account... if the product is an investment instrument I'm sure you are caught in the web... so think twice or don't ever think about ICICI!

ICICI Bank miss management

I live in Kanpur and I have a credit card of ICICI Bank... Few days back I received 4 small cards of health insurance done by ICICI Lombard and at the same time I received my credit card statement stating EMI is being paid by my credit card... I went to local branch and they say complain to MUMBAI office and at the age of 66 years they made me feel so much pain and I am unable to reslove this problem as now its been 4 months and I have now received credit card statement stating 17000/- INR outstanding... On card of health insurance my age is mentioned 35 years which in any case I can not use... Because of staff and field boys/girls we are facing so much problems... I really don't know how to resolve this problem as I talked to Mumbai office & also talked to Chennai office with both ICICI Credit Card division and ICICI Lombard division and found there is now co-ordination between these two companies...

I will surely take help of consumer court...

I fully agree for the miss management bwtween two companies of ICICI -Credit card & Health insurance. I had a problem created by them some what similar to ur's.

On receipt of the policy -[protected], later after 8 to 10 days I received an additional policy no: 4034/FPS/[protected]/00/000 without my request. Communication regarding cancellation was given immediately to your customer support / Customer care via e-mail somewhere at end May’08.I received cancellation confirmation and refund of amount mail from your customer support team on june 2nd 08. Inspite of Cancellation communication I noticed deduction of EMI principal, Interest, ser.tax inclusion in my credit card statement . I communicated number of times with your customer support /Customer care team/ Helpline, in written( evidence available) /verbal ( evidence recorded) to stop for unwanted transactions occurring in my credit card for the cancelled policy . Inspite of all above I didn’t recd any satisfactory reply, further this continued till aug’08, by applying further late payment charges, Minimum amt.due, taxes and so on.
Further I decided to close my existing policy -4034/FS/[protected]/00/000 also with ICICI for the miscommunication /gap noticed between Lombard and credit card dept. Request ID [protected] .and EMI Cancellation Id [protected] .Still today I am noticing unwanted credits of EMI principal shown in my statement of policies cancelled . The outstanding has reached to 35000+ from earlier O/s of 11000 before availing policy . The all above drama with customer undersigned is brought to your notice and take strict action immediately in view to stop customer unrest.
I had also communicated to your credit card dept in written to close my credit account with ICICI and communicate the outstanding amount excluding the policy Transactions (EMI, intrest, Ser.taxes ) laid unnecessarily in my account.

Expecting reply immediately and settle the account outstanding.

Card pls. see in this matter I am way paying my actual amount with is due from my side but ur giving me a bill with late fee & so much interest last time I had received one call from ur side regarding payment ur person told me that now we had clear all ur due now u have to pay us only 190/- RS ( as an interest that we can not wave off and after that no dues are pending in last I am agree to pay that amount to sot all the problem and after that I stated purchasing on cr, card before that I hadnot purchased a single item on it & now I am going pay on the amount with is actually due after detecting 190/- RS

ICICI Bank undue charges on credit cards

I paid Rs.4630 against the statement for the month of Oct 06 on 1st Nov 06 Vide cheque no 337547 which got credited to your banks account on 6th Nov 06 as per my saving bank statement. Even after this I got statement for the month of Nov 06 stating this amount as balance. To add to the insult you have charged Rs.1630.31 as interest on this amount and late payment fee+service tax as 536. I have send so many mails to the customer care dept on this anomaly & requested to correct the accounts but to my surprise there was no response from them & the same continued till date. Getting no response from you, I decided to stop all transactions on these credit cards from April 07. Ultimately I lodged complaint in this month about non credit of the amount.On 17th July 07 I got reply from you that the amount is credited to your bank account on 17th July 07. How this can happen? The same cheque can not be deposited twice.Even after this your people are asking me to pay Rs.11492.12 instead of correcting account/statements from the month of Nov 06.I called them to send their representative to check the documents available with me. But instead of doing this they just call me for undue payment. This is a mental torture. If the things are not settled within 7 days, I do not have any other option but to approach consumer court to settle the issue.

ICICI Bank they stole my money!

Aaarning to all corporate account or any savings account holders. ICICI will shamelessly steal your money from your account and give you various reasons or sometimes just pass the bucks from one department to the other. I have an account with the BTM branchand no explanations been given to me as to why 16000/- s missing from my account. I fought with the manager and they come up with a story of me having a credit card 5 years ago and then i have not been able to reach anybody and i have lost my money forever. I am planning to file a case in the consumer court.

ICICI Bank seriously disappointed with icici bank's services

I am really helpless with ICICI bank's services. To start with I will explain a recent scenario:

. For about last one year ICICI is flashing a message on online trading site to re-submit documents (address, phone ID and pp site photo etc.) for DMAT account as these details had been lost during the 26/07 rain in Mumbai.
. They were giving due dates and kept on extending that. Also giving option to send their executives to collect documents from customer's premises.

. As messages were flashing, I fixed datetime for documents collection. I fixed it through call center and through on online trading site also. I scheduled it multiple times.

. Executives never turned up. Message stopped flashing in the site for last 2/3 months. OUt of curiosity, I called up call center and asked about the account deactivation and got to know from the gentleman that online trading account will not be suspended just like that. Happy I was!

. On July 10, at around 9 pm I logged onto the site to apply for an attractive IPO (Everonn systems) and my account was deactivated. Next day (1 pm) was the last date for IPO. I called up call center to know that "Account will be suspended at least for a week after receiving the documents. These documents will be sent to NSDL for verification and then only accounts will be activated, alternatively I can go to bank branch and apply for IPO." Cool... I raised a request for document collection by executive.

But I was pretty much sure of ICICI staffs skill level. I called up again and happen to talk another executive to learn that "you cannot apply for this IPO by visiting bank branch even. However your request has been taken at priority level and within 48 hrs an executive will visit your place and then account will be activated."

Seeing conflicting views I asked to transfer the call to supervisor and response was "Supervisors are there till 8.30 pm only and its 9.30 pm.

Again called up at 10 pm to speak to supervisor and got response that "Supervisors are there till 9.30 pm only and you have to callup in the morning after 8.30 am.

Actually the first level contact fraternity in ICICI call center is so adamant that by all means they will NOT let you speak to supervisor unless customer is burring on the other side. And each call needs to start afresh and I observed that each call eats up around 30 mins (of time and money).

Morning again I called up and got to speak to a supervisor, It was like winning a war with the first level call center executive. I explained the entire scenario from start to end explaining the kind of losses I am incurring. Another picture came out. "An executive will collect paper by 4 pm. And immediately after receiving the documents your account will be activated. She gave me the name of the person (Mr Mahajan) who will visit and she said in case any problem I can call her up as she is the only supervisor" I told that reaching to supervisor is a nightmare task better she give me a call at 4 pm to know the status which she reluctantly accepted.

It was 2 pm and I had not received a call from Mr Mahajan (procedure is: executive will give a call and fix appointment and then visit the place)

I called up again, explained the situation and asked for that supervisor he said there are many supervisors and in my earlier call it might have gone to Mumbai call center where he cannot transfer.

Helplessly I waited for my clock to click magic time of 4 pm. I was damn sure that nothing is going to happen and it did not happen. I went to Thane(w) branch only to know that they don't KEEP the required form and as usual they promised to send an executive within 2 days.

On other side, from call center, my request was forwarded to Nagpur ! where I had to re-iterate my address in Thane. But this time after 2 days they were managed to send an executive from Ghatkopar branch. And I gave details for my wife's and my accounts.

Now, after 8/10 days of submission why the same original warning is flashed again ? It's same as before warning - "Submit your DMAT account proof papers otherwise your account will be suspended".

I am really very much worried that the same cycle will have to be repeated.

Moral of writing such a bug story is:

This is not the isolated instance but this is the most frequent phenomenon at ICICI. In last 20 years I have not seen even a government institution working so casually. Indeed I would appreciate honest Thane Municipality officers who had delivered birth certificate for my son in a matter of 2/3 hrs!

I am having banking, DMAT & online trading accounts with ICICI for last 7/8 years. My wife is also having all these accounts with this bank. It would be really hard to recollect a single instance where ICICI said we will be delivering 'X' service by 'Y' date and that really happened. It has been a painful journey with ICICI. I will give a few examples below:

1. To clear an outstation check it took more than 2 months and I spent countless hrs talking to bank's call center personnel. Unfortunately, even at the highest level of escalation in the call center, all promises found to be false.

2. If they say PIN delivery will take 7 working days then I safely multiply it by the factor of 4. Same for every other services.

3. You would be surprised to know that I am struggling to get a internet banking PIN for my wife's account for last 3 months. Still I have not received the password. Indeed, I have stopped following it now.

4. Bank's irresponsible attitude is clear to the currier services as well. They deliver at their own luxury and they don't fear to proxy receiver's sign. It has happened with me and I brought into bank's notice.

5. Call center personnel are extremely difficult people and they are not trained about the banking rules and ICICI processes and they give contradictory information.

I have raised these concerns with ICICI from time to time but things don't seem to change. I understand that there's no way to compensate losses due to these people.

The mail services available in ICICI net banking is useless as what ever be the message sent there wont be any reply nowadays.
The customer service is very bad - when I applied for opening Current Account for Reimbersement purpose, the account is not yet active still now after three weeks. When I contacted the ICICI contact person for my Company, he asked me to contact Customer Care. When I enquired Customer Care, they again asked me to contact the person from whom I applied for opening the account.
Better we should not use the services of this bank.

Hi! People do not be against me if I reveal that I am an ex-ICICI call center executive (precisely put- Phone Banking Officer(PBO)). The best thing about working there was their canteen- great food at pretty subsidised rates. Therefore, I was able to work for upto 12 hrs there, daily, even on my 'off' days! No, I am not kidding, seriously. However, I completely agree that most ICICI customers have serious grievances agaist the incompetency of the bank's branch and call center employees. I want all readers to appreciate the situation and analyse this problem from these employees' point of view. (1) Salary out there is much below the industry level. (2) Quality of training is not too good. (3) Middle level management (say, the supervisors) staff are not very co-operative towards the call takers (they disallow call takers from transferring customer calls to them- they do not pick up phone at their extension!)... Moral of the story: Please help the PBO to help you- be patient, do not express your frustration by shouting at or abusing the call taker. These problems are there at all call centers, but, they are there more at ICICI! Yes, i have experienced that ICICI services are de-grading, tough i appreciate some of the initiatives.
It is still love-hate relationship for me.

One thing is sure, their call centre guys are INCOMPETENT people to handle complaints.
I have spent nothing less than 5-6 calls, 2-3 hours on call centre on each of my complaints.

ICICI must find a way to resolve complaints, have proper escalation systems etc.

In my case, HDFC bank returned a cheque i wrote for ICICI card on technical grounds "signature not matching", tough i have been paying the same credit card from same bank for last 7 years and I had enough of money in HDFC account.
I also made a prompt payment on a new cheque the next day after i saw my HDFC ATM slip.

But ICICI's computer records wrongly showed the first payment as cleared. I took initiative to correct the records since i could see from my HDFC acccount that the cheque has been returned. I had to spend many hours on phone & weeks of follow up to settle the case. ICICI refused to re-present the cheque after I spoke to HDFC clearing house person who requested me to re-present.

" WHO WILL COMPENSATE ME FOR THE TIME LOST ?"

And i have experienced that the call centre guys are DUMB, very DUMB, incompetent to handle the jobs for which the customer faces great loss, irritation, frustration & some may actually turn violent.

WHO WILL PENALISE THE BANKS ? THE FINANCE MINISTRY AND RBI MUST CONTROL THEM.

ICICI BANK DOES NOT HAVE A PLACE IN NAGPUR TO GIVE A WRITTEN COMPLAINT FOR CREDIT CARDS AND GET ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. THIS PROVES THAT THEIR INTENTIONS ARE MALAFIED AS WE DONT GET ANY RECORD FOR CALL CENTRE CONVERSATION. I RARELY GOT A REQUEST NUMBER OR CONFIRMATION SMS - WHICH LARGELY REMAINS A VIRTUAL, ELECTRONIC PROOF.

IS THERE A LAW IN INDIA THAT A COMPANY MUST ANSWER ALL COMPLAINTS ?
THAT IT MUST PROVIDE A LOCAL ACCESS WHERE COMPLAINTS ARE HANDLED IN PERSON ?

WHO WILL WANT TO WALK INTO A BRANCH IF COMPLAINTS ARE HANDLED EFFICIENTLY ON CALL CENTRE ?

ARE YOU LISTENING MR. FINANCE MINISTER ?

YES, THE BOLD TEXT ABOVE SHOWS MY LEVEL OF UNREST, EVEN THINKING OF THE HARDSHIP I FACED.

ICICI DMAT service is the worst and the most hopeless services I have ever seen. From past few weeks I tried to login at least 100s of times and failure rate is 99%.
Even you login it won't allow you to trade with some foolish messages. I am already loosing a good amount in trading regularly.

Some body please teach a lesson to these idiots or let me know if anybody is planning any legal action and I could help in any way.

In full agreement with what all has be stated by Mr Sandeep. In fact, I myself have faced unexpected delay in the processes for of a Personal Loan. Initially they say something else, then finally it tuns out to be something completely different.

ICICI Bank icici lombard policy fraud!

An ICICI Lombard policy was attached on my credit card 4477 XXXX XXXX 8004 without my consent. I was charged 150Rs per month for 3 months which I was not aware of. When I asked for cancellation for this they told they will cancel the same. But this fraud people charged me Rs 3500 as cancellation fee. This is clearly a cheating case and when i ask them why they didn't told me earlier they said the representative might have told me or he must have forgot the same.
I haven't yet payed anything and now the due amount has reached 6.5k with all the late fees and interests.

I already raised a complaint at customer service still no use. They are not even ready to cancel my credit card.

I am in the same situation like you.. They have put .. the Lambrad in my name.. though I cancelled like you.. they have put some amount in my name.. and its going in increasing month by montha.. and now it has reaches 7.5 K...

ICICI Bank cancellation of home insurance!

My name is k. gurubaran I am a customer of abn-amro freedom card holder. if you check the usage of my card details you will find since 1 year I have not used my card or I have not misused my card of any in my earlier transaction. but still there as been a debit from my card to icici lombard home insurance with out my knowledge and now abn-amro is back of me to make those payments I do not understand why is this happening to me. when I spoke to abn-amro the are telling me to write a letter or mail to icici lombard home insurance to get it canceled and get the money back. I have done that also so far I have made more that 15 calls to abn-amro but they are blaming on icici lombard home insurance I do not know what to do. icici lombard home insurance is not canceling the insurance and abn-amro is sending the statements and asking me to make the payments every month and now started to call on phone also and frustrating me. if this continues I have to file a case against both of them. either they have to cancel the insurance and put my money back to my card or else the have to face the consequences.

ICICI Bank settlement done

I am Ashok Saini from Gurgaon. I have taken a credit from ICICI bank in june / july of 2005 its credit card no. is [protected]. The credit card limit is 6000Rs. I spent of credit card about 4000Rs approx. from credit through a shopping. I paid the minimum due amount for two three month. At once its this charge increased to much. In short Cut I am coming to the point that ICICI executive come to me for the payment.I discussed with him for settlement he agreed to the amount of 7000Rs. in two installments. He gave me letter just before one day of settlement. That is why I am not able to do the payment of 1st installment. Executive said no problem If you give me minimum amount of this month & that will be deduct from your settlement amount. Also this month installment you can give in next month & So on. In this way he takes around 8000Rs in three /four months and hidden. During the last payment of 5200Rs. He said I will stop your statement from next month. But bank not stopped to send the statement from Nov.2006 to till date now he make payment around of 30000Rs. His executive giving me very threating call me on my cell No. & come to my residence in absence of me .My mothe is very feared from those threatening. I would pay all the buddy rupees If I had with me.Now ICICI Bank & his executive take me very harassment position. I totally monthly toucher by ICICI bank His executive . In against of purchasing of 4000Rs I have given around 15000Rs.

ICICI Bank continuous phone calls!

It is really being so irritating that at least I get 3 to 4 phone calls daily from ICICI regarding credit card/home loan/personal loan. I feel like sewing the company for the same...

Damn... the software that they use to get the phone numbers but it is unbearable...

ICICI Bank human rights violation!

HYDERABAD/India: Guidelines by the Supreme Court of India against employing third degree methods by finance companies for recovery of dues notwithstanding, Andhra Pradesh (a state of India) recorded what could perhaps be the first case of a death due to alleged torture by recovery agents.

Elite Financial Services, a firm having a tie-up with ICICI Bank India for recovering “bad debts” found itself in a soup after a 42-year-old man, who had taken a loan of Rs 15,000 (approximately 300 dollars) and failed to repay it, died while in their “custody” on Friday.

While the police are awaiting a post-morterm report on the death of the victim - Yadaiah - a case of “wrongful confinement” and “culpable homicide not amounting to murder” has been registered against the firm, located at Ameerpet in the Hyderabad city.

Yadaiah's wife, Sunanda, however alleged that her husband was tortured to death. The victim was a resident of Yapral in Ranga reddy district in Andhra pradesh/India.

According to Punjagutta Inspector G Narasaiah, Yadaiah, working as an electrician in the State Government of Andhra pradesh- Medical and Health Sciences department, had taken a loan of Rs 15,000 from ICICI bank India/Hyderabad sometime ago.

After he failed to repay the loan, the ICICI bank, terming him a defaulter, handed over the “case” to Elite financial services. “This company has a tie-up with ICICI Bank for recovering dues,” the inspector said.

On Friday morning, around 9 am, one of the executives from Elite, Raju, descended on the house of Yadaiah. As Yadaiah was away for work, Raju questioned Sunanda as to why the payment was not made and then took her husband's photograph.

Later, the executive along with his henchmen, allegedly picked up Yadaiah from his office in Sultan Bazar and drove him straight to their office.

Around 12.30 pm,

Yadaiah called up his wife and told her to arrange Rs 15,000 at any cost. According to Sunanda's version, Yadaiah sounded scared, and asked her to arrange for the money immediately.

“He said that he would not be allowed to leave if he failed to return the money and hung up,” Sunanda told the police.

Around 2 pm, Sunanda received a telephone call from Maitri hospital in Sanjeevareddy Nagar that her husband was dead.

“The version of Elite employees is that he collapsed due to fits in their office and died after being shifted to the hospital. There is only one injury on his forehead. We are awaiting the post-mortem report,” the Inspector said.

Based on a complaint by Sunanda, the police registered cases against Raju and the management of Elite Financial Services. “If it turns out to be a case of murder, the section will be altered accordingly,” Narasaiah said. Yadaiah had two sons and a daughter.

SEE, HOW MUCH A HUMAN RIGHT HAS BEEN VIOLATED IN THESE LIKE BANKING PROCESS. A FAMILY HAS LOST HIS BREAD-WINNING MEMBER. A WIFE HAS LOST HER BELOVED HUSBAND, AND THE KIDS, THE BELOVED FATHER FOR SAKE OF MERE Rs.15,000!

You know... my father had a credit card (not icici) and a debt of small amount..in 2003, cancer was detected in his lungs... he was in bed... with oxigen tubes... counting his days... and these recovery men appeared... we told them politely we'd pay debt... but they're not ready to give us time... they wanted immediately... then we turned furious and told them... we simply smash your head if you again disturb us... then they ran away and never came back... but we still can't forget the days that my father is lying with oxygen tubes and these ### are shouting...

ICICI Bank no response regarding credit card

I had applied for a credit card and my application reference number is 351/[protected]. I have submitted all the details the company asked from time to time and has send many mail regarding this. The latest response was from Krishnan Govindan, Asst General Manager asking me to file information regarding my office address etc which I have already forwarded through my mail many a times but there is no response from the company.

Can anyone help in sorting out this.

Yes i completely agree with the above scenario since even i have faced the same problem and i am still going through with this. i have subitted all necessary documents to the ICICI associates more than 4 times now and have not got any response.

The customer service is pathetic.

ICICI Bank run credit history with out customer notice

I am very surprised with the way ICICI bank works. A year back I was approved for a Home loan (after a lot of miscommunication) and the first amount was disbursed to the Builder about 6 months back. When the second disbursement amount came, the Bank said they need my latest Paystubs and Bank Statement as there is a lapse of 6 month period. I sent all my salary statements and very much to my surprise they ran my Credit History and found that I have a home loan here that was not on their account, as I bought the house only 3 months back here in US. I asked them a simple question why and How did they run my credit history with out my consent - and I asked the Bank Manager an explanation for this act and inspite of 5-6 emails I received no response from Sales Agent or the Bank Manager, and my Loan is on Hold now - the service sucks, the privacy laws are totally taken for granted. I am still waiting for a reply from the Branch.

ICICI Bank terrible service

I applied for personal loan form icici. each required document is submitted to bank through martin (an employee of loan department in icici, hyderabad). I used to call him after each 2 days for status of the process. always he says it's under process and after 15 days he says that your file is missing from our office, not only yours but whole bundle (around 100 files)... great job.

I need money urgently as my younger bother is going to take admission in college.

Hence I am requesting you to publicize it to be careful other people.

I have applied for a personal loan from icici bank, tirunelveli head office, tamilnadu.in regard to this i have submitted all needful documents...though verfication being completed, verificaiton dept person has given false report of my IT documents.
to clarify this problem i have submitted original IT documents for further verificationand took it back the originals.but till this date i have not received any of good response for your authorities.
So kindly arrange my personal loan at the earliest or else return my documents.
