My family and I visited an ihop in New Orleans and the service was the worst. We never received all of our food and the manager came out to speak with us and he proceeded to tell us that he was the manager and cook and they were short staffed. All of the staff we spoke with told us it was the managers fault. I said I was not going to pay because the food was wrong. They blocked the door and would not let us leave. Even after I agreed to pay. They called the police and traumatized my kids. I have never been treated so bad. The manager came out rubbing his sweaty face and his nails were so dirty Please call me regarding this as I plan on filing a grievance. Thanks in advance for you response to my concerns. Did I mention the street people who came in the restaurant and asked us to buy him food? Not the type of service I have ever received in another of you restaurant.
Awful service
response to injury
Back in June 2012 at the Cookville IHOP, my wife and I were shocked when our 3 year old leaned forward and that very, very long straw punctured his eye. It was horrific. Staff did adsolutely nothing. We left and went straight to the emergency room where the doctor had issues looking at the damage. Over time it healed, but our child wears glasses to this day. Our complaint is that the staff and management refused to ever acknowledge what happened; but rather watched from twenty to twenty five feet away. To anyone reading this: if your child gets injured at IHOP, don't just rush to the emergency room. The damage is done. Call an abulance, make a report and hold those heartless people accountable for what happens on their property. We did nothing wrong. They stuck a straw that was about 11 inches long into a 3 year olds drink. I hear they no longer use those straws: great. We were business owners at the time and we responded to every complaint, injury or concern. We have avoid IHOP since.
waitress tried to fight me
I visited the IHOP on 126th and Lexington Avenue in Harlem and the horrible waitress named Steasi added an extra drink to my bill after I told her there was hair in my orange juice. When I tried to speak to her and explain she spoke over me and didn't let me talk. She started yelling at me in front of all the other customers and her manager said she will take care of it. When I spoke to the manager she let the waitress stand right next to me while I was complaining about her I told her she has bad customer service she said no I don't and told me I can't count she was standing very close to me with her hands folded in a threatening manner. I told her you're not going to speak to me like that and then her manager (lekasha) who seems like she is a friend to the waitress pushed her away from me as she tried to come closer to hit me. Her manager pushed her into the kitchen and then came and told me with an attitude that she was right again not listening to me at all. I paid my bill and left. This was supposed to be a nice outing with my mother instead it was horrible and I felt like I was lucky to leave without getting hurt. NO ONE should ever be treated like this at a restaurant on Mothers day.
food
I ordered Beef tips, red skin mashed potatoes and broccoli. It was the most unappealing plate I have ever seen. Gravy from beef tips dripping over the side of the plate, mashed potatoes looked like gravy they were so soupy I could not eat them. The waitress said she told the cook I complained and that he needed to not serve those potatoes . That was all that was done about it
IHOP Beaufort SC
ceramic appearing sharp object in my food
March 25, 2019, my daughter and I went to our local IHOP and order I ordered a omlette, she ordered pancakes. While chewing my food I notice a small bit was crunchy and I though, eggshells, got back to the business of enjoying breakfast. I could not eat it all and brought the rest home where I warm it later and had it for dinner except I did not finish the meal. Again, while chewing I noticed a small bit was crunchy but this time I went after it and pulled out a small piece of what appeared to be a chip off a coffee cup or plate, it was small as ones front teeth. I did not know what to do about this then and I still do not know what to do. I have held onto the receipt and the plate with the tiny bit of glass in it because that is what is. I am attempting to reach out to corporate, I believe someone deliberately put that into my food. I was at the same restaurant the week before and again a bit of crunchy, I just thought it was eggshell then also but now I am not to sure. I am African American. I am old enough to remember when Denny's had to face court because it was proven that this, as well as other dangerous practices, was common to people of color in their restaurants, you can google this. I will post picture and if anyone have positive advice I am interested. No one, no one should go to a restaurant and unknowingly pay to have glass put in their food and worse, chew it. Screw a lawsuit, IHOP need to investigate this if this is not their practice and make the restaurant safe for ALL people of all CULTURES, men, women and children!
management and staff
I recently worked at the Ihop located on 2319 Lincoln hwy. Lancaster PA. I have recently left employment sat a local ihop due to constant bullying. The managers did not handle the situation even though this fellow employee has been confronted about her constant bullying. Instead of handling the situation or firing the employee who has been causing multiple...

Ihop #595 1740 Rio Hill Center, Charlottesville, Va. Table 32/1 Chk 1506, May 6, 2019, 9:10am. We were sitting there for about 8 minutes before a waitress came to get our drink order which was coffee. She brought the coffee back in about 5 minutes. No water was offered. we came to this location at 10:45 am they took our order at 11:00 am the waitress say sorry they wait I make sure to give you a discount we said ok that's fine then food took 45 min to arrive our kids were crying the waitress I am very sorry our manager is going to be here to talk to you she never did instead she give us the ticket no discount when I ask the waitress she said oh ima sorry I would tell my manager again the manager never came and sent her with a new ticket 3 dollars off for me that was unprofessional she never came to talk to us and after almost an hour waiting all we get was 5 dollars
prices
We were seated promptly. Our food arrived hot and well prepared. We thought it odd the gravy for my husband's mashed potatoes was in a little container. When the waiter brought our bill it seemed high so we went over it and saw that we were charged $1.99 for 2 oz of gravy! I called the waiter over to the table to ask why? He told us since mashed potatoes don't come with the meal my husband ordered we were charged for the gravy. We were kinda flabbergasted. 1st: my husband was not told that mashed potatoes don't come with the meal he ordered Any other restaurants we frequent allow you to choose your sides. 2nd: He certainly wasn't told he'd be charged for his gravy. I always order the harvest grain and nut pancakes and it has always aggravated me that IHOP charges a lot more for them for no apparent reason. But this is the last straw. We're not going back. It's as though IHOP wants to gouge their customers for every penny they can.
food/service
1.We just asked to be seated in a different area because a yelling baby was across from where the young lady seated us and we got nothing but attitude and were told your at IHop not acceptable we know this is IHop. 2The food was cold 3. We got our order in pieces and had to ask for the items that where left off. 4 Manager really didn't care about our complaints. The IHOP in Austin Texas 14310 I-35 needs new management and training for the employees. Someone in the corporate office should do a surprise visit this place really sucks
poor customer service
A group of 7, came in at 2:32 am. We as a group was seated upon arrival. We sat at the table for 15mins before anyone decided to help us. Associate TEDDY stood next to our table, she didn't help until we start complaining about no waiters came to the table to wait on us. We ask for a manager and no one came to keep us tonight.
This IHOP is located on 7528 US 192 in Orlando, Florida.
service
While visiting the IOP at 700 Central Texas Expressway in Killeen Texas on 26 April the service was below subpar. No one was manning the front area to seat people, once the people ahead of us and we were seated we sat at the table for 15 minutes without any kind of acknowledgement from the wait staff. We saw each of the four waiters look at our table none...

I use to love iHop until my most recent visit to the establishment today (Easter Day) Today I entered the iHop In Nottingham, MD and service was great per usual until I asked for the check. My server was a woman by the name of Winni. She gave my my check and I noticed it was for a little over $20.00 which was unusual I asked the server for a price reduction because she simply charged me for each item I asked her for separately. When I brought this to Winni's attention she instantly b/c hostile and appeared to be irritated and just walked away from my table with no response. Winni never returned to my table I waited 5 minutes before going out of my way and asking a passing waiter could she get me some help b/c I've been waiting and my time is very valuable to me she cooperated. Instantly a woman approached my table aggressively as if I had done something wrong I introduced my self and asked what was her name interrupting her explaining the mix up with the order. She was not friendly or acted as she had any form of customer service skills. I asked her what was her name because she wasn't wearing a badge and she rudely said "She doesn't need one she a MANAGER!" while rudely pushing which appeared to be the corrected check for the food I ordered and said her name is Lisa. Lisa then said some words I couldn't understand and walked off with out regards to me being a customer almost as if I did something wrong which made me very uncomfortable. After Lisa rudely walked of silmilar to how Winni walked off neither of them returned leaving me at the table waiting almost for nothing b/c I didn't even understand what was going on. After waiting another 5 minutes I simply flagged down another passing employee and just paid for the meal. The employee took my money and returned to my table with out a receipt which was odd b/c Winni & Lisa both were at the cash register at that time. So I asked the employee for a receipt and she politely went and retrieved it. In the process of leaving the restaurant I tired to engage with Lisa and Winni to bring some form of understanding to the whole situation but they sarcastically said "Bye Happy Easter" again leaving me speechless b/c I am I paying customer. I said "Thanks" and left the establishment. This has been THE WORST IHOP EXPERIENCE EVER! I was embarrassed, had my time wasted and was still over charged for my food. Even if you guys don't take this email into consideration on how Management is running the store in Nottingham I will continue to email and email corporate for what has occurred that wasn't right and of fair. I think its A upper management problem and that really id the down fall of company's if you've read the story you can see how Winni's & also Lisa's behavior were the same. Thanks For You Time.
Otherwise the food was great as always maybe ill just get my food to go next time.
Why should they give you a price reduction? You seem to mistake not getting your way as rude. Very immature of you. You may be a paying customer. But pay the full price. If you cannot afford to pay for each item you ordered get less.
food
The ihop in rosenberg, texas has been complained on thoroughly on social media since they opened the doors late last year. We decided to take our chances and try it this morning, and well, everybody was correct. Ive eaten at ihop restaurants most all my life and this was by far the worst. 4 of us in our party, the waiter, although very nice, got everybodys orders wrong and mixed up, the entire meal was cold, and the grits were also cold and the consistency of dry mashed potatoes. The only thing great about our meal was the coffee. We are joining the rest of the city and boycotting this ihop restaurant. There is a waffell house, denny's, and a cracker barrell all within 5 miles of this ihop so it will not be missed. Those restaurants have never given me or my family a bad meal. Sorry...
I was kicked out for refusing to take food that was cold
I placed my online order at 9:02 am on 4/13. Order would be ready at about 9:17. I got there on time and my food wasnt ready, no big deal but after 30 MORE minutes I just wanted a refund and leave. The manager finally came out and tried to tell me i had been ready but the hostess was checking for me often so that wasnt true. I wanted a refund and leave. He argued with me about it being fresh, the boxes were barely warm. He insisted it had just been cooked so which was it? Been sitting ready to go or just cooked? He got mad I still was refusing the food and didnt want to refund my money. Why did he ask for my credit card to eventually SLAM, YES HE SLAMMED cash in my hand, and the exact amount of cash my ticket was for? He got loud and told me I was rude and told me to never come back to his store ever again. 45 minutes is not ok for the 2 meals we ordered. I had to ask twice for my card back especially since he gave me a cash refund! This meal should have been free anyways after our last ordered came with about a dozen ketchup packets covered in harden syrup holding them together.

I am writing in regards to our service on 3-31-19. I am not one to complain but the service was not very good. I understand there were new employees working but it took 20 minutes to get our drinks and there was no ice because they stated they were out and had to get some, and order our food and then it took another 40 minutes for our food and my daughter...

I called to place an order for pick up and asked for a bacon cheeseburger with only a slice of onion. The waitress said you only want a sclice of onion in your bun. I replied with I would also like to have the burger, bacon and cheese in the bun with the onion. I was picking this up for my husband who is attending classes at night and wanted to get him dinner. They quoted me 15-20 minutes but it really took closer to 45 minutes until I got my food. I didn't check becasue I wanted it to stay as hot as possible until he could eat it at his break. He actually got out early last night and came home to eat it. When he opened the container we found that the only thing in the bun was a burger, cheese and some type of nasty sauce. I paid for a bacon cheese burger but only received a plain cheese burger. Additionaly what we received was not even worth the $9.85 bill we paid. I tried to contact the resturant directly last night and each of the four times I called nobody answered the phone and it rang so many times (approx. 20 rings) it actually cut the call off. This is a shame because I have heard good things about the food and my first experience was a very bad one. I have no plans to return to the resturant in the future and would greatly appreciate a refund for this meal. I never make complaints about things but was very distured by my whole experience. I also tried calling your corporate office today 02/28/2019 at 2:00 est. And received a recording stating sorry you missed the call and to call back during regular business hours from 7 am to 7 pm cst. I was well within the time and each of the three times I called thinking it was a fluke but each time same thing. I woudl really like to speak directly to someone regarding this experience.

Last night (Feb.25, 2019) my family and I went to IHOP on Crestwood Blvd the waitress had a don't care attitude. She wasn't rude but she seemed like she didn't want to be at work and the food was horrible. The burger I ordered was raw in the middle, the Spicy Poblano omelette was missing some of the ingredients. I didn't know about the food issues until I...

You caused this incident and traumatize your children with your behavior. Maybe they were traumatized with embarrassment at how you were behaving. Cannot afford to feed your kids then don't take them out. They have every right to make you pay for food that you and your kids ate. Even if it was the "wrong" food.
