Jagex Spam from jagex

I keep getting daily spam from Jagex. 4 to 5 mails per day. i just went to look up their webpage to see if i could contact them but they choose to reply with automatic emails only. i have never visited their website before today, i have never played their game, nor do i use the recieving inbox for anything but work. i have seperate email-accounts for newsletters and forums.

i have NOTHING from Jagex never even went on their website. i only play games on Steam and Origin and those are both on gmail. i have NEVER used the emailaddress that i get their spam on for webbased stuff. i only contact relatives and clients with it. how does that hacker/scammer even get a hold of my email? my security checks out there are no leaks.

I am supprised to see a jegex employee actualy looks here. I mentioned on other jagex/runescape posts about needing help from you guys before on my account but your site is hard to navigate and not user friendly.

about what Mod mentioned some stam/origen pages have embeded viruses. you look at a game for what it is and bingo virused. then they see what you use for email and there you go. even with my anti virus firewalls i still get new viruses that it doesnt know exist yet.

Hey

Sorry to hear you have been having problems with Spam emails. If you have received emails which appear to be from Jagex they are likely phishing emails designed to steal RuneScape account details and are not from us. Phishers usually bulk-send emails to a list of randomly generated or purchased email addresses in the hopes that they will “get lucky” and find someone to whom their email appears relevant.

To avoid seeing them in future I would recommend that mark these emails as “Spam” or “Junk” in your email spam filter. Alternatively, you can forward one of them to your email provider as a “Phishing Scam” and they should be blocked.

In future, if you need more help in regards to these kind of emails or have another query, please feel free to contact us at accounthelp@jagex.com.

I get emails from them too but unlike you i get them cause it was my game email. i broke off ties with them after they shafd me from my account by not returning it to me just cause the passwords i had on my file were wrong.
now in answer to the emails sent to your work email. it is a scam/hacker email trying to steal your account. i know cause my world of warcraft email is aol not hotmail and they sen it to my hotmail.

Jagex Paying for a game that does not work

Jagex is continuing to take money from us even though they are unable to fix problems to their software.. they are offering no customer support what so ever and when any player objects through the forum they are banned.. i believe that jagex has become a rogue company that's sole intent is to steal as much money from paying customers as possible for the game 'runescape' is finally scraped... i believe jagex is in violation of British trading laws and as such British trading standards should be investigating them and bring legal action against jagex for its criminal theft of members fee's. its should also be noted that runescape run by jagex has a huge membership base of children and as such should be held to the highest levels of scrutiny when they act or as is the case fail to act.
I believe a vote of no confidence should be called by the shareholders asap... Runescape p2p member Sir Wigs.

War of Legends servers are constantly down and the gameplay is extremely laggish...the entire game is designed based on gambling for odds and upgrading your legends requires hundreds even thousands of mouse clicks in some cases in hopes that u "accidently" double click and mess up at some point...the game is very poorly designed and maintained.

Horrible game...it is designed to take ur money and the only way to advance is to pay real money...lag is just unbearable and the servers are constantly down...I would not suggest this game to an enemy more less a friend

Mod Harriet. Jagex has a serious in game hacking problem they will not admit to! Fault is always laid blame to the account holder. I to was accused of "botting" and rolled back. THIS NEVER HAPPENED. No reply was ever given to my appeal and to top it off my account has been hacked and 300 million in items and gold removed! Jagex reply? My fault! I have paid money to this game for it to be ruined by your flawed system and customer service. User names everywhere "jsvhewn2i34ry3" are u serious? and this is not a "bot"? But you roll back my PAID account claiming botting you are so full of it! Cant give back stolen items? I worked and PAID for these items with my membership and another "member" of your game stole these things and I am told it is MY FAULT?! Worst your mods treat everyone as though we are a teen child. I am a middle aged adult paying for my account and my two children. I will not accept your false statements and LIES to your customers. Jagex has allowed everything I PAID FOR to be taken or rolled back; now I expect a full refund for my entire membership or return of everything lost. I will continue customer complaints to every agency on the entire planet to warn everyone of your shady company.

*sighs* well went through 3 Jagex Mods and i still can't get my account even after giving them all the data i remember putting on the account. no one but me knows the stuff in it and they can't locate or admit that it is my account. reminds me why i left jagex for aeria games to beta test for them when they offered.

Jagex Ban of my account

I have been playing this game for 3 years. I stayed on this game 24/7 and i can't read. i can't communicate with people. i have been accused of being a bot on this game. my account has been hacked. and messed up by playing this game. and then they say that i was botting and they didn't show any proof of it. so the answer is obvious that i can't read or communicate with others and that they would think i am a bot. and i want them to give my account back to me, the account that i had to stay on this computer for day in and day out just to get it to the level that it is. i even put money into this account. so i feel that i wasted all my time on this game. and i am mad as torment about it. so i hope you guys can do something about it.

Mod Harriet, I have seen your numerous posts on your forums as well as other "Mods". Jagex has a serious in game problem you will not address! I to was accused of "botting" and rolled back. Jagex Pitiful customer service

I have been continually dissapoint at their absolute lacking of customer service and dishonesty within the game. Having completely removed any ability to submit customer service query's or any other form of suggestion to corporate entities they have effectively cut themselves off from their own customers. Truly the only company ive dealt with that was absolutely devoid of any wanting to be contacted, and we pay their salaries? Avoid contact with jagex ltd at all costs.

Jagex Banned my sons account forever

Okay so, my son is mentally handicapped and I bought him something for roblox from another site, and they banned his account forever... I dont like this game... I would not recomend it for all of you, viruses occur and the jagex staff does not cooperate with you.

Jagex Breach of contract/failure to perform

Paid for a game subscription in order to play their online game. Due to technical difficulties, I am unable to play the game. Contacted customer service to request a refund. Staff denied refund, claiming that funds were taken in the scope of the agreement.

Bottom line: they took money but are not offering the product/service that I paid for. They are fully and entirely unable to provide the product/service because of technical difficulties that they have no means to correct. It is entirely unfair for them to claim that I am able to fix the problem when my attempts to do so have failed, and the time period for which I have paid to play is expiring all the while.

This is a breach of contact by way of their failure to perform, because I am not able to play the game at all. To refuse refund is unconsionable and borders on fraud. Just another case of big busienss bullying customers over small amounts that aren't worth the costs of litigation to recollect.

[can a admin move my last post to gaiaonline complaint that asks who it is run by? it accidentaly got posted here when i logged in on this topic after my browser froze.] jagex i think just wants to steal money. I was a beta tester for runescape and i recently went to reclaim my account. contacted my "handler" from when i was a beta tester, gave her all my data that was on the account. only thing wrong was that i cant recall the password. gave them 3 as they asked i knew it was. she refused to give it back to me despite me sending the request on my old email which was the one i contacted her when i was a beta tester. realy? you wont give me my account when you KNOW it is me? that is just sad.

they banned me for hacking when i was asleep. just cause i had a similar item to what was stolen. as to who its run by, according to a interview with the ceo a guy who doesnt care about the customer. he says and i qoute about his daily ruiten. "i get up, ban 50, 000 users for no reason. then sip a margarita while jacking off to japaness anime porn. then go to bed and do it all over again the next day." when asked about the enhancements that help the users fix the errorss gaia online has, he said "oh i know about them. i use them, and i ban anyone else with them. i ban users to keep the economy going." realy? thats a lame excuse, how about making the monthly items perminant to buy at a high price. that is more senseable than banning to keep economy. the users? he basicaly said in the interview i dont care about them. all i was is to take their money. as i told the BBB they are violating the law in muiltiple states and countries. the guy i suposidly hacked, was from another country. let me ask you this. how can you hack someone when 1) you have it stated "any trade not asking for something i reserve the right to belive it is a gift", 2) your asleep cause it is 12am, 3) your computer is off, 4) your internet is off, you dont know the password or user at all, 5) you dont know how to hack at all, 6) you dont know any user's name or password, and 7) your account is offline not logged in when the trade happens[not the accepting from your end only the other end]? it is impossible in my book cause supposidly my ip was on the account i allegedly hacked. i offered to return the items to the user if they gave me time to recover them due to me being hacked 6 days after the "Event" happend.

Jagex The stupid pvp wilderness update in runescape

runescape is getting really retarted after the update of the pvp wildneress was released. i think it was a really stupid idea because the only people making money are the very high levels and they start killing us moderate levels that need to make money fast. also why did you take away clan wars and the fist of guthix? that was the fastest way to store high price items thatw e need to self. but the freakin high lvls are just killing us. please make a poll of stopping pvp wilderness. the people that can kill dragons need the cash but the damn ### are always killing us, so i say we should also have reverants back and put back clan wars and the bank by the volcano, and the fist of guthix back. NO MORE PVP WILDERNESS PLEASE

Jagex Refuses to give refund

Several days ago my son's Runescape account was banned. Two days prior Jagex charged my credit card. My son had 32 credits (more than 1 month) when his account was banned. I contacted them for a refund since my son could no longer pay and they refused. However, they should refund my account, because they banned him before his previous month subscription was up. They took two more days "reviewing his account" before they told him they would not undo the ban. I have sent them several e-mails looking for a refund, but they refuse.

This is bad business. You cannot bill forward for a service and then not provide that service for whatever reason. If they want to ban his account then they should have provided a refund.

Jagex Unauthorized use of credit card information

On two occasions, years apart, I have tried to use the Jagexstore.com website to purchase runescape merchandise as a birthday present for my son. Sadly, I have never actually been able to purchase anything! This year I used a VISA card, boy, was that a mistake! I was never able to confirm that I had completed any transaction. The site continually told me I had NO transactions pending nor any completed in the past. Wasn't I surprised to discover that during each of my failed attempts to purchase runescape merchandise, the shop had "reserved" my credit card funds for bogus "pending transactions" and thereby reduced the amount of my available funds on my VISA card! This stunt tied up almost $300 of my VISA funds for over a week. When I attempted (no less than four times) to contact someone via email at both the JagexStore.com customer service and also at Sunrise Identity (that powers Jagex's website), I received NO response--even after one week! After I had put in more than one call to my bank about these several bogus "pending transactions", my bank eventually agreed to void them and restore my credit line. It has been a very sad and disappointing experience for both me and my son, as we have both been long-time fans of Jagex games.

Not a nice way to treat your long-time customers and US fan base?:-(

Jagex Unfair permanent ban!

My friend was permanently banned for macroing. Ok its wrong. But a week later he finds out his friend was banned for the same reason.. except he was banned for only 14 days. Jagex now offers 14 day bans for people who macro and another chance if they do it again. Whenever we speak to jagex about how unfair the situation is that he got permanently banned for the same reason, we only get automated responses or a message which says that our email will be forwarded to the relevant person.. and then we never hear back from them.

Please sign our online petition if you feel this is unfair or even if theres a similiar situtaion which should be heard!

i hope jagex gets this message. i dont want to be rude or anything i just want my money back. A while ago i spent about 7.2m on all four pages for the zamorak book. i put each page in the book. After a while i decided it wasnt worth the cash. i tried to take out the pages. i then realised that you could not take out the pages, its a little stupid. you SHOULD be able to take out pages in a book. i dont think 7.2m is worth it. all you get to do with the book is preach with it when completed. its common sense, you can put in pages, you should be able to take the pages out (and re- sell them for your money back) i hope you think about this and update the books so you can take the pages out again. thankyou

Jagex 999 hp???

I have been a player of Runescape for 3 years and 2 of my friends for 9 years. We are very upset how the hp has changed and it resembles world of warcraft. Most people that play Runescape HATE WOW. Many people are upset because they cant chat about max hits, or max hits with mage. Its very confusing and I'm sending this compaint with 4 usernames. Jagex Impossible to contact

I havent Played RS in a couple years I tried to explain it to them sent them many emails tried to call them (number below) I got nothing it was automatied just sayin jagex is runescape and funorb. Customer Service Is EXTREMELY TERRIBLE they dont care bout the players or accounts they just care bout the money terrible company even worse cus supp.

there was a clan that i joined on a bounty world i was wearing a rune platebody, platelegs, rune full helm, a cape, dragon longsword.we killed a couple people then the leader said Deadlock980 my username and two others to come with her.We walked out to less populated grounds and then and there they turned around and killed me took all my stuff and kicked me...

Jagex Card won't work

We purchased a Runescape subscription card by Jagex Ltd. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009 at the Gamestop in Denton, TX off of Loop 288. The pin was not scratched off until I got home that evening. I have tried several times, following the directions on the card and the website, to activate my subscription. I continue to recieve an error message from jagex telling me to contact them at [protected]@jagex.com. This email doesn't even exist. I looked them up and found an alternated email at [protected]@jagex.com that I sent an email to trying to find out why my activation card will not activate. They send back an email saying they received the email and to be patient, and that someone will respond to my email as soon as possible. It is Friday evening and I still have not gotten a response to this email regarding the problem with the card. Now I have no subscription and have wasted my money on something that Gamestop will not give a refund for.

Jagex Stolen password

my son has been playing a game called runescape, he has made several accounts and everytime, he gets his password stolen, he has had this happen under free accounts and also under a paid account. my son and i have tried several time to get the accounts returned, and everytime they have denied us the return of our stolen account, understandably free accounts are really no big deal but when i pay cash for my son to play a game, he gets ripped off, i follow all the steps to get the account back, which they tell me i can with the proper information, so i provide it and contionuosly get denied over nad over, this compant has no concern for free customers or paying otherwise, once they have your money there is basically zero customer service to assist paying customers, let alone the free ones. several players have mentioned the same problems so i am not alone and am sure other will complain also

My runescape user name Fisto29 was robbed. It wus sum dooshbag named I Load Bowls. The ### robbed me. He took my chainarmor, scimiter, and kiteshield. AND THEY WERE RUNE!
Here's how he did it: He got me to his house saying that he wanted to do a youtube video for sum glitch called chair walking. I was ready to be on my first youtube video when, we were almost done, he tells me to put down my scim, shield, and chainbody. Then guess wut? He kicks me out and takes my stuff! I tried to get back in, but he locks me out. Again, his name is I Load Bowls, he's lvl 94, probably had a lvl99 cooking cape. If u see him, plz support me here.

I cannot beleive this outrage!
My dad paid for my acc to be a member on runescape and they cut me off.
All I wanted to do is get on my acc on runescape on a members world and then nothing.
It said I needed to be a member when I knew I was still a member.
Please write to me as soon as possible.

I have been trying to recover my lost account of 3 years for 1 week! I have had enough of this stupid account recovery system! I hope this gets to them because they are the worst company ever. My account is flames511 you can check the hiscores he was good. I made him like 6 years ago and I can't remember any old passwords or anything... And I even paid money to them and now I get this? They should really improve this system it's getting on my nerves.

jagex i think just wants to steal money. I was a beta tester for runescape and i recently went to reclaim my account. contacted my "handler" from when i was a beta tester, gave her all my data that was on the account. only thing wrong was that i cant recall the password. gave them 3 as they asked i knew it was. she refused to give it back to me despite me sending the request on my old email which was the one i contacted her when i was a beta tester. realy? you wont give me my account when you KNOW it is me? that is just sad.

Then i went and gave them every record i have of the account. this was back when it was free, went to the bbb and still they wont hand over the account. instead accuse me of selling my account AND saying im a loyal customer and they want to give me free items. THEY ARE FRAUDULENT TEAR THEM DOWN.

Wow what a way to solve the problem especially if 90& of first time rule 1 breakers don't get permanently muted. Also some advice: Spamming them won't do anything... They can just ip ban you, ignore you, permanently mute and even ban you, probably even press charges if they really wanted to... So heres 3 good choices:
#1: Create a new account and forget maybe even completely forget that old account pretend you never had it
#2: QUIT Runescape and never come back once again forget about it or come back 2 years later.
#3: If you life is "over" then a good way to end it is to go to the tip of the Empire State Building and simply jump.

Try contacting customer support and/or dispute charges if it didn't work and they denied. If it doesn't work then just dispute...

Try to put a realy hard password and you could have a keylogger from visting any runescape fansites. Also i suggest not letting your son play this game. Its alot of fun but wastes alot of time.

a key logger is something that can see the keys you press in the order you press them. they are normally hidden in files you may download even wallpapers for your background from sites other than jagex or runescape. this might sound stupid but make sure your typing it perfectly without caps lock on

if he gets them changed every time, then you may have a keylogger on your computer which can normally be removed simply by a virus scan. If nothing comes up, then i have nothing else to tell ya.

Jagex Membership - scam

Jagex co. Also the company running the online game "Runescape" .

I have been playing this game since 2004 and have enjoyed it pretty much, but last couple of days have turned this sweetness into compete sourness.

I usually paid my membership using credit card, but this time i visited Usa in december and bought a Jagex Game Card to pay my membership ie. a 20 us $ card. ( 3 month card )

The card worked succesfully but after using it for a month or so, jagex stopped my payment saying the card has been purchased in Usa and the option was not meant for your country so your payment has been cancelled, i still had more then 45+ days left of my membership.

The step taken by company is very much a scam as i had paid for a service which i did not get and the company is not providing me a proof for the action they took even after myself demanding a explanation on their billing support.

Jagex, Your game Runescape is great but the mini games are flawed. The stealing creation game is 100% guarenteed ruined by the few people who just go there to kill and not gather. This completely ruins the game as for someone like myself who only wants to get points and go the task at hand is rendered impossible. Yes, it's a nice idea, but did you think about the max level players going there being disruptive? I don't think so, fix this issue so that there's an element of fairness in the combat. As it stands a lvl 1 can attack a lvl 138, how is that fair? Tactics such as standing by the re-spawn point eliminating any action from the opposing team is just disrespectful.
You have updates regularly, please impose a "wilderness" style level match or "pickpocket" style level cap for attackers.

This complaint is absolutely legitimate. Jagex has a serious problem within their system and will do nothing to correct the problem. The blame for any issues is always laid directly on the customer if a response is ever (rarely) received.

I paid for a 30 day membership for my grand-sons' birthday last month ONLY! low and behold they tried to take it upon themselves to help themselves to my credit card again this month..I get texts as soon as my card gets charged..it comes across my cell phone.something needs to be done to these companies that think they can go and charge without permission!
