With no other option available, I went ahead and requested for delivery instead. However, when I got home, I was surprised to see an order confirmation for a completely different sound bar, a Yamaha one to be exact.
Being a bit confused, I decided to go back to the store and sort things out. But to my dismay, things didn't go well at all. The staff members didn't seem to have any clue about what had happened, and the manager was incredibly disrespectful and rude towards me. The whole experience was disappointing, to say the least, and I felt like I would never set foot inside a JB HI-FI store again.
Thankfully, this story does have a happy ending. I eventually canceled my order, and instead, I went to Harvey Norman to buy the correct sound bar. I was relieved to find that the staff were courteous and knowledgeable, explaining everything in detail and making the whole purchasing process a breeze. I was very pleased with the entire experience, which was a complete 180 from my JB HI-FI experience.

Okay, not exactly what I was hoping for, but fair enough I guess.
Here's the thing though: the store manager, Hayley, was a real piece of work. She was so rude and defensive right from the start. She started rolling her eyes and getting abrupt with me when I mentioned Australian consumer law. Apparently, they couldn't determine if my TV had a major fault, which meant they couldn't do the return. I said, "cool, can you just check if it has a major fault then?" But she kept shrugging and saying, "I can't do anything for you."
It was so frustrating because I was just trying to get some help and figure out what was going on with my TV. I even asked her to email me the details of what she was saying so I could understand it better, but she started rambling and giving me wrong information. I mean, come on, if you're gonna be the store manager, at least know what you're talking about, right?
