On January 5, 2024, the 4-month-old freezer will no longer work. Hotline called. Do not work on Friday afternoons and weekends. Still no repairer on Tuesday January 9th. Completely avoid this brand. A customer who has purchased more than 1000000 Rupees in 2023 is completely left to fend for himself and can throw away the 300 l of goods. All products were bought at Abans Aluthgama .

Defective laptop
I am writing to express my disappointment with the laptop which was purchased on 10th Nov 2022. The details are as follows

On 23rd September 2023 I found that the laptop is not powering on, and I hand it over to the Abans IT Service center, 450, Duplication Road, Colombo 03 on the same day under the job no UHP/RIT1A/0923W0383 and UHP/RIT1A/1023W0551.
The IT service department is still not in a position to address the issue, even though 60 days have passed now. To resolve this issue, I kindly request one of the following actions. A replacement of the HP laptop with a defects free unit. A full refund for my purchase. I made several visits to the IT service center in Kolpity, but I never get any feedback. Worst in customer service. Thank you for understanding and assistance

Delayed service repairs. Salesman lying
I brought a Gascooker from hakmana abans showroom.later one side was stop working on ignition switch. Contact salesman and gave them to service still in warrenty period. Later after 1 week they havent fix them.and finally we had it.but after bring it home.trid to connect it iginite still same not working. Try to contact salesman few times he said he is busy and call him later. Finally he respond abd tell us he gonna come abd check it.but he came aftrr 2 days. Take it back to show room saying that gave us a call after fix it again. Now more than 1 week again.I want check the progress of that went to show room to see him.he said still not came to show room. After 2 days of the that week try to contact that salesman he is not answering my calls. Please help me with this urgently.im fed up with this kind of situation

After sales service
I have purchased a refrigerator for my new food stall from Abans Kochchikade branch on 19th June and which was delivered on 26th as per our request. We switched on the fridge around 6th July, 2 days prior to the opening of the new stall.
After few days we realised that the fridge is not cold enough for a brand new fridge, so we made a request to have look, after about 1 month of complaining one officer came n had a look n said it’s not getting cold enough. And wanted to take it to workshop.
As agreed brought a temporary replacement as we need to store food, and took our new fridge for service. The replacement came without shelves to our disappointment. We are very frustrated and being a reputable company in Sri Lanka your lack of attention is appalling.

Desired outcome: If we have to send our brand new fridge for service n technician agreed that there’s a fault. We like a replacement to our fridge as we don’t want to accept a faulty fridge.

I Purchased a 462 Liter Inverter Refrigerator from Abans Showroom Welisara Sri Lanka for my domestic use about 05 Years ago (Inverter still Under Warranty/10 years) I had a problem with this refrigerator and called the Service [protected]) on the 07th of July 2023 (Ref No IOLPBD070723F0077) after that called and reminded many times up to today (30th August 2023) no technician has called no one has come to see the Refrigerator despite so many reminders.
I have Purchased most of my Products from Abans, Service is Hopeless only sale & Marketing when purchasing a product from Abans think about this.

As there was no response to the above, when called they said that as my home address was incorrect they had cancelled the above.

Desired outcome: Nothing, as I have got the job done through another source.
LG washing machine - model T25L5VSAM
Re - After sales service issue
Reference to above model washing machine was purchased from Abans welisara on 27/03/2019.
1. In 2021 we complained that machines is not functioning. After testing came to understand that there is a issue in motor. (Attached herewith the report given by the service officer) There was a call asking for Rs 14,000.00 that I have to pay before repairing the machine. Then I said I will not pay prior to the repair. After that no one called. For many months.
2. Again after many reminders an officer came on 03/02/21 to check again for the washing machine and a report was given which didn’t mention about an issue. (Report attached herewith) but said motor is not working. After this we called many times for repair then we were informed that spare parts were not available. Many times when we called we were told that spare parts were not available.
3. Again we complain and job was opened but after few months I got a call saying that they have been asked to cancel all the service job which doesn’t have spare parts. Then I again complained about it to Prasad who is in welisara Abans showroom.
4. On 13/07/23 received a call saying they are from Abans and wanted to see the machine and ask me to send photos. Also asked what wrong with the machine so I said it’s not working cannot wash. Having said that I again switched on the machine and checked it all the lights of the buttons was there but and when I press the buttons it gave the beep sound as well.
5. When they came they checked and said motor is not working and also the switches. Then I was shocked to hear it. I said it was not true, before you came I switched on and it was perfectly working. They never replied to me and said need to take the machine, I was reluctant to give cause Abans service officers came to my house even for the refrigerator and for the washing machine many times but never wanted to take the product they always bought tools and fixed it at home itself. Still I said ok since they are from Abans.
4. On 25/07/23 I received a call [protected]) saying that spare parts have been received and repair of the washing machine can be done. That I have to pay only Labour charge of 2500.00 and asked me to confirm it. Once I confirmed I received a message confirming same which forwarded to prasad of Abans welisara branch.
5. And today 26/07/23 there was call from an officer from Abans services (Mr. Shashika) saying he has got the motor and whether he can come fix it. Then I said him that product has been taken by Abans to repair. I was confuse with this call so went to welisara Abans and made a complain to show room manager he then called to officer to took the machine and they said still spare parts are not available. Also then they informed that PCB also has to replace them I said there was non issue as such issue is only in motor even on the report that Abans officers gave me. Also I on the machine to check before they came to my house it was perfectly light up and all the button was functioning. Manager of the welisara show room said that they have accidentally put two job nos that why the confusion was which is not customers mistake and I am not ready to suffer due it.
After I came home and I called shashika and informed him about the PCB he then said no miss it was perfectly functioning I am the one who checked the machine. Then I opened up the file and checked on the reports both reports doesn’t say anything about PCB other than the motor. I completely agree with Mr. Shaasheka cause I too switched on the machine before this Rathnayake electricals came to my house.
Now I have asked showroom manager to return my machine with same condition which they took from my home. Cause this PCB part is about 35,000 to 45,000. We cannot get cheated for our hard earned money like this. This will happened when you out source your jobs. I know Abans officers will not do this kind cheap things. Many times they to came to my house even to fix the refrigerator and also the machine but never act like this. They were quite reasonable officers. In future please make sure that you send me only officers from Abans services for repairs.
I have purchased many electrical products from Abans l but I never experienced such a unfortunate incident. Please take this matter to your kind consideration and do the needful.
Desired outcome: I need my washing machine to be repaired as soon as possible based on the previous true estimation not in a cheated way. Do not send any third party service team for this purpose as they are sucking money with a plan.
Refrigerator
Extremely disappointed with abans after sale service. We bought a refrigerator and they have given warranty for 10 years for the compressor. We had filed the complaint far back as in september 2022, till now no action taken. They them selves have cancelled the job. If they cannot honor the warranty given, why do they give the warranty period in the first place? this is not acceptable at all. We pay high charges for these electrical appliances and on top of this they don’t give us the after sales service.

I have informed the service center I'm moving to the address on June 10 th Saturday and i needed it get it fixed on June 9th. I have paid the full amount to this.
To give the estimate they took longer time even after so many calls.
June 9th they did not come due to an accident.
And they mentioned that it will come on June 10 th morning 9.00
Even in the morning they didn't come.
I wasted lot of time and money on this. Worst customer service and technician service. Never recommend to anyone

A/C
Extremely disappointed with the service.
I purchased a dual inverter A/C from BuyAbans and on the advert it said free installation. However, thereafter I received an invoice of Rs.9000 asking me to pay for installation. They refused to fix my A/C until I paid this amount.
Therefore I did and they fixed it.
From the next day onwards there was a water leak from my A/C. So far 4 different technicians have come and say it's because of various reasons but nothing has been fixed yet.
It has only been a month after fixing the A/C
Desired outcome: Refund the installation fees and fix my brand new a/c. It still has warranty and I'm sure it's a faulty product.

I m trying to do my quarterly AC service since last one & half months and the company does not assist me to do my service accordingly,

I have complained to you several times about a refrigerator bearing REFERENCE NO SOLGCO191222F0487 purchased from the company and asked you to take action regarding it, but I am disappointed that no action has been taken so far. You were first informed about it and requested to act accordingly on 19.12.2022. But a TECHNICIAN from your institution was ASSIGNED for that on 12.01.2023. After that, the estimate was received about 3 months later, on 22.3.2023, and after verbally confirming that immediate action would be taken by contacting customer care because of the confirmation the relevant payment was made on the same day. I paid Rs.1868 for an inspection which was unnecessary as I personally went to the service center and made the complaint. So far, no response and I do not even know if the part if ordered or not. It is very difficult to get thru to anyone with a sense of responsibility. They sell products but servicing is the worst in the country.
Desired outcome: I need the freezer door replaced ASAP.
LG Refrigerator
On the 02nd of October 2020 I had purchased an LG Refrigerator 471L – Amber Steel from Abans Colombo.
As per the invoice, the above mentioned refrigerator has a 12 month(s) 1 year Comprehensive Warranty and 10 years warranty for the inverter.
However, in less than two years from the purchase date, the refrigerator broke down. A complaint was lodged to the Abans Service Centre on the 02nd of August 2022. Upon inquiry, I was given a reference number and was told that it would take two weeks for a technician to visit me. On the 03rd of August 2022 I received a text message stating that a technician has been assigned.
However, no technician visited me despite many futile calls to the service center, which lead to me to write a negative review for Abans on Google. This was followed by a call from an Abans manager who requested to remove the review, to which I disagreed. A technician was sent the next day (09/09/2022) and the refrigerator was taken for inspection and I was given another reference number.
On the 12th of September an estimate of Rs 17,423.77 was quoted via SMS, along with a payment link.
Adding to the blunders, the link did not work. Upon calling the customer service hotline on the 27th of September 2022 in order to complain, I was told that the team is facing a technical error and hence will not be able to attend to inquiries. The following day after many unsuccessful calls, I was put on hold for over 5 minutes just to hang up. The link for the payment showed an error throughout.
I ended up going to the Abans Service Centre Wellawatha on the 30th of September 2022, only to be attended to by irresponsible managers, particularly, the Service Center Manager and the Customer Relations Officer, whose names I do not wish to disclose, just turned a deaf ear to my complaint, making it obvious that complaints of this kind are a norm.
I was then told that Abans did not have sufficient supplies to fix the issue with the refrigerator and was promised to be called once the material arrived.
To this day, I have not been informed of any updates on my refrigerator nor were my calls answered by any of the staff of Abans.
I am beyond disappointed by the after sales service at Abans and I am sure that I am not the only customer treated in this manner.
Desired outcome: Severe action should be taken on Abans in order to protect the rights of consumers who are deceived. I want my refrigerator fixed as soon as possible, and to be provided with a warranty for the new compressor which will be installed.
Television Delivery [protected]
I purchased Toshiba television online on Wednesday the 9th of November 2022. They are supposed to deliver it within 5 working days. Today is 23rd of November which is 2 weeks after, but still I haven't received the television. I have keep contacting the calling center and they always comment as they will check and let me know. But no response afterwards. Today they contacted me for the first time and mentioned that my phone is not contactable. But it is not, there are no any miss calls. This is extremely disappointing and unsatisfying.
Desired outcome: Deliver the television immediately.
Fault money reduction on credit card
I'm V Naguleswaran ([protected]) from Jaffna. I purchased JBL T500 Headphone (Original Price Rs. 11499.00) from Abans Jaffna Elite showroom on 20 October 2022. On installment basis (@Rs. 218.00 /60 month) by using commercial bank credit card. Total price was Rs.13109.00.
They reduced Rs 13109.00 as One shot. and NOT INSTALLEMNT Enabled. I contact Jaffna show room. They justified as system error and they haven't any solution as I expected (Installment basis). I contact commercial bank. commercial bank said Abans not applied installment basis CONTACT with Abans.

Bottom freezer refrigerator
More than 7 complaints upraised regarding d refridgerator repair. Technician came and paid Rs1600 and he didn't give us a receipt and also not yet updated the error to the compant. This is more than 2.5 months.my 1st complaint done on 30th July 2022.no response.
Every time I call to request the services still I didn't get any. I need d fridge to be repaired
