I have been an avid shopper at this Jewel since it is near my house and I would love to have a chance or opportunity to buy any different or allocated whiskey that comes in that every Jewel happens to receive regularly. Many times, I come in and ask if any of the normal allocations or any special bourbons come in and every time, the liquor manager or the person below them say they never get anything. They even claim that it has been months since they have received anything special. I decided to just peer through the glass and saw a Bookers box and asked and was lied to again. I didn't tell them I saw the box in the back just to see how they reacted. I figured maybe they ran out, but looking at their facial expressions, I knew they were clearly lying to me. The next time I came in, someone else was looking for an allocated whiskey and he and I talked and also had a similar experience with the liquor managers there. Other times after that, I would just peer to see if anything allocated came in and they would always just lie. I know people can line up, but I don't to have some decency. I just wish they wouldn't blatantly lie in my face knowing they received some allocations and have their employees also lie about it. This just feels like they hold all the bottles for their friends and family as I know about the other stores that do from other people.
Claimed loss: Opportunity to purchase allocated bottles of whiskey.
Desired outcome: Have liquor managers not lie about allocated bourbons and allow regulars to buy them if they are available. Constantly holding bourbon allows for liquor employees to hold for friends and family and cheat the system.
