I took my NEW vehicle to have the oil changed and drove under 1,000 miles and now there are shards of metal all throughout my engine from Jiffy Lube not tightening the oil valve all the way. This is a major devastation. I've taken wonderful car of this car. My only mistake was ever taking it to this franchise. Someone is coming to "evaluate" the situation (from Jiffy Lube) and I'm expecting them to try not to pay for it. The event WILL be recorded and if they attempt not to pay for it, I will take it to a lawyer. This is ridiculous and I absolutely refuse to back down. I have documentation on what is wrong and what was done at the mechanic who found the issue with what Jiffy Lube did.
Claimed loss: 5,000 plus uber rides, plus mechanic fees.
Desired outcome: Compensate me for the repair in whole. I don't want Jiffy Lube anywhere near my current vehicle. I'd like further compensation for the trouble that this has caused and the fact that it's made the value of my vehicle go down as well.

This is an absolute disaster, and it's completely unacceptable for them to jeopardize your new vehicle like this. When they come to evaluate, be firm and make sure they understand you're not backing down. Have all your documentation ready and let them know you're prepared to take legal action if they don't make it right. Don't let them off the hook — stay strong and insist on full accountability. Your car deserves better, and so do you. Make sure they know you won't settle for anything less than a full resolution.
