KIA Motors Kia dealership (Ed Voyles of Marietta)

My wife and I had the worst experience we have ever had at a dealership at this dealership!
We made an appointment to test drive a Kia Sorento on a Friday evening for Saturday morning!
We were the first customer there Saturday morning and met with the salesman and did are test drive on the vehicle we wanted. My wife and I liked the vehicle and decided to try and make a deal. We had 2017 Infiniti QX50 and were offered 22, 500 at carmax so we told are salesman that we were going to go to carmax and sell the car so we could put $5, 000 down on the new vehicle because the rest of the money from the sale of are vehicle was going to pay off another loan to make room for a new car payment. The salesman said he talked to the finance manager and he said they would buy the Infiniti and cut us a check for 17, 500 and the rest would go for the down payment ($5000). We said that would be fine. We told the salesman we had are own financing from capital one and if they could meet the offer that matched or was better than capital one then we would use there financing. On there website they had the vehicle listed for $39, 500 and our financing was for the list price of $41, 000. Well the salesman comes back with an offer with price of the vehicle at $42, 000. I showed him the price listed on the website at $39, 500 and he said oh I'm sorry I will go back and get that fixed for you so he goes back to his finance guy (keep in mind I had not told him the finance offer from capital one yet). He comes back with another offer and it was still higher than what capital one was giving us so we told him we would just go with the capital one financing offer and we then showed him the offer and offer code from capital one.
He goes back to finance guy and comes back and says they will take our offer from capital one with $5, 000 down so we agreed to the offer! We go into the finance office and start signing the paperwork and even bought the maintenance service add on for the vehicle. I gave them the keys to my Infiniti and they took the tags of my car and gave us the keys to the new car and we signed our title over to them and that's when the scam started! The finance guy looks at us and says how are we going to pay the $5, 000? My wife and I kinda looked at each other for a minute and then I said we are giving you $5, 000 from the sale of the Infiniti. He said well what about the other $5, 000? I said we are only putting down $5, 000 dollars! He says we'll the salesman made a mistake this deal is with $5, 000 from the sale of your Infiniti and another $5, 000 from you and I ask the salesman if you understood that and he said you did. Well that's when I realized that they were trying to scam me our of $5, 000 dollars and I was starting to get really pissed! So he calls the salesman in and the salesman starts to apologize saying there was just a misunderstanding. The finance guy looks at us and says hang on I will work with numbers and see what I can do and it didn't take him long to come back with a car payment well over $100.00 more a month than what we had originally agreed. He could see my wife really liked the car and we had already signed are title.
So that alone put us in a predicament because the title would have to be redone since we already signed and dated it for that day and would have to buy a car that day or go to the tag office and have the title redone because you can't make corrections on a title once you sign and date it you have to get another title issued and I know they new this! Well I really didn't care at this point I got up threw the new car keys at him and said for him to give my keys and put my tag back on my car we are leaving. So the finance guy goes out and tells the salesman to put our tag back on our Infiniti before the big guy kicks your butt! He used different words but I won't write them here!
So we got back in our car in shock at how scummy this dealership was regrouped and went to another dealership (subaru in Kennesaw) to look at the 2nd car on our list. We ended up buying the Subaru at 1.9% interest rate with same deal for our Infiniti with $5, 000 down and the dealership cutting us a check for the other $17, 500 a couple of days later so we could pay off the other loan!
The Subaru of Kennesaw dealership was awesome and honest!
Well I thought we were done with the Ed voles dealership forever and put the experience in the past! Until yesterday when my wife and I got a letter from Kia finance saying they refused are loan with we never applied for because are 810 credit score and other factors we're not good enough! Really! so these scumbags at Ed Voyels Kia ran us through Kia finance just to make a mark on our credit report! If we were not good enough to get financing through them then how did we get a 1.9% financing loan for our new Subaru? I know this is along review but wanted make sure that no one else has to go through this!

KIA Motors Service department

Service departments at Kia both Blaauberg and Paarden Eiland are disgusting! My car is at Paarden Eiland now and the agent Savannah makes no effort to solve any problems or even listen to the customers. I have a Kia Sedona and it costs a fortune, i have the highest service plan and hardly anything is covered. I told her my doors dont glide properly i think its the alignment and she tells me to go to a "panel beater!" They do not listen to the customer, they care less and the whole experience is a disgrace. I will never get a kia ever again due to the service department that is so slack and just dont care ábout the customers one bit. They take down your issues when you check in the car - do nothing to solve the issue.

KIA Motors Incorrect communication and advice from dealership

We first leased our Kia Sportage from Montrose Kia in Feb 2000 when we returned from uk. We had lived here for ten years prior to a three year return to UK to take care of my father and had always had Kia cars.
When we returned we took out a lease which was very expensive we later found out.$469.12 a month with a deposit of $3000. We were to find out quickly that the salesman and the manager left the dealership within the month.
I was in for my usual service and asked a person at the desk what options did I I have as the lease was coming to an end, we made an appointment for the Saturday.
When we got there we were met by someone completely different, he asked what I wanted and I said lower my payments and a Kia Sportage as I love my car. The truth upfront.
I will get straight to the point his advice was that we would have to buy the car on finance that was the only way that was good for us, he saw me coming. After four hours of sitting and waiting answering questions and stating quite categorically that we wanted no lies and fiddling like the last sales team did we ended up reducing our payment by about $50 and financing the purchase of our leased car with again a $3000 deposit and financing.
However we got a call to say that the wrong paperwork was used and we needed to go back and sign again. I asked at this point, as obviously we had discussed the deal and were very sure at this point we were not getting a good deal at all, if there was a cooling off period we were told in no uncertain terms there was not.
We leased our car for the extortionate payment and never complained after the initial errors and used the service department's, never late with a payment but were yet again misled big style.
We now pay over $400 for the next 75 months to buy the car.
So we have deposited $6000 on the car paid two and a half years of a lease at $469.12 a month, now we have to pay six and a quarter years at $400 a month. So rough calculations we have paid around $42000 plus interest for a $27000 car.
NOT A GOOD DEAL! Something is not right here, I am not saying anyone outright lied to us but they very much did not inform us allowing us to make an informed consent. I am very angry with Montrose Kia at this time and their misleadings reflect on KIA.
I am sad because I have chosen you cars above others. There is no trust now.
Is it possible to have someone look into the deals we were led to believe were fair and honest, as we are unsure that our best interest came first as stated.

Took myself back to Montrose. Kia and got a lot more clarification and came away with a great deal and am happy. GLAD ITS DONE.

KIA Motors 2014 Kia Optima

Paint is chipping away in random spots on hood of car and along windshield. It is the Snow White pearl color. It has been maintained properly 4 years I have owned it. I have read several forums about the problems that others have had with the same color, and Kia cars. There is also social media websites available that addresses the problem. I will be interested to see how much further I need to take this.

I purchased a Kia Soul in January of 2021. I was promised a $400 rebate by Kia motors being a veteran. I have not received it as yet. I have been to Kia of Cape Coral Fl. three times and now they tell me they have nothing to do with it and I am on my own. I purchased it at Kia of Cape Coral, Fl.

KIA Motors Engine

I took my 2016 Kia Optima in for a oil change and a month later I notice it was burning oil so I took it back to the dealership they changed the oil again and marked the dipstick and stated to drive it for 1, 000 miles and bring it back to be check. I took it back on July 10, 2021 only to be told the same thing I told them the car is burning oil and that I need another engine which would cost around 6, 000 dollars now my response was are you telling me the payments on the car is more than the cost of an engine. I have about 123, 000 miles and contacted Kia Customer Service and gave them the information on the vehicle and was also told Kia has a class action lawsuit against on this particular vehicle for engines. I contacted the class action lawsuit department and got nowhere and the deadline for the class action lawsuit is August 9, 2021.

Desired outcome: Either fix the vehicle or compensate my for what I owe on it and see to it I can get another vehicle.

KIA Motors Cheating / fraud by selling used / demo / display car

Kia showroom, wazirpur, are cheating and making fraud with people. They are selling used/demo/display car. There are several defects in the car, there is no commitment, and no complaint resolve mechanism.

It is our biggest mistake to buy kia brand car... Or the people in wazirpur branch people are at fault.

There are several commitment issues, they have provided in written form before selling the car and now they have denied the same.

Moreover, there are manufacturing defects/ or scratched on outer body and inner body, scratches on seat plastic, etc. They had made false claim and provide invoice without providing the services.

KIA Motors Parts and After Service.

Hi dear, My name is Alex. I have a Sorento bought on 2017 and as it is a imported car in China. I am having problems with parts. My car is 2 weeks parked in the Authorized Kia seller waiting for the part that is coming from Korea. There is no estimated time of arrival and nobody can confirm when will be fixed. I fell that we as a loyal consumer were left behind without service. Hereby I want to reach for help to somebody that can fix my problem and don't leave me wondering why I like the brand. It's my second Kia, first one was a k5 or optma. And i like the car, the problem is the maintenance that its so bad serviced. I can only service my car in 2 shops located in the same city that i don't live in. And i have to drive 200km just to get my car serviced. I live in a city of 21million people and there is no service for Sorento. I really want to reach to help. So please forward this matter to someone who can fix my problem, thank you very much. Don't let it be my last Kia!

KIA Motors Bob rohrman kia

Complaint

I bought a new vehicle with the orginal intent of trading in my current vehicle, instead I was met with deceit, lie after lie, and what I have a feeling are many broken laws. My complaint will breakdown everything that happened and the things I question the legality of.
First let me begin that our situation is unique in that I am a 100% disabled combat Marine veteran, and my wife is a travel nurse, so this is why we are in so many places during this complaint. We are Louisiana residents, traveling through IL for work and now working in Northern Minnesota as an ER nurse.

On April 23rd I went into Bob Rohrman Kia in Shamburg IL with an agreed upon price on a new 2022 Kia Carnival with Michael Mallory. The trade in was agreed upon and a price was offered. When paperwork was all finalized I was happy with the numbers, and was ready to go. The tags they gave me expired on May 23rd, but it took until June 30th to recieve information I was able to put my tags on.
Here is where the problem comes in at though. I called for weeks asking why my Explorer wasn't paid off within the 21 days that IL law requires and they couldn't give me an answer. On May 22nd, the dealership contacts me after I have called for weeks and emailed for weeks begging for my plates and asking for them to payoff my trade-in, saying that they made an error when getting my payoff and that I had 3 options. 1, return the Kia (which because of the shortage is now worth close to 10k more than they sold it to me for) and take back my Explorer. 2, pay the difference which was somewhere north of 7k I believe. Or 3, come back, they would rewrite the deal without my trade-in and I would just take both vehicles home. We reluntclantly agreed to #3.
When we got there they tried to keep a promised check from us, our explorer was missing items like floor mats and the orginal windshield with prescription clear tint on it. It was also painted with what looked like white out on chipped spots. They threatened to block our car in at one point and even yelled at us to talk "lawyer to lawyer" and they tried to not let us leave because I asked about things we had agreed upon before we drove out there. Lots of problems throughout this entire deal.
Here it is July 6th and I just find out that they mailed my regristration to my Louisiana house, and stole the plates off my Explorer without my knowledge! I'm now stuck in Northern Minnesota and am supposed to put my plates from my Explorer onto my new Kia, but what about my Explorer? The Lousiana DMV says I have to come in in person to even discuss options and that seems excessive since it's a 17hr drive away.
They also did the new car deal in what I think was an illegal way. They supposedly closed out my old loan (as in paid it off(said they sent kia a payoff check)) and rewrote a new deal with the same Vin and no trade-in. They told me they couldn't give me a new temp tag even though it was expired because they "had already issued a tag for that Vin vehicle" and told me that "even though it was illegal, I just had to leave with no tags" and that I would be Ok because "they aren't checking with covid right now, it's a city order thing" the manager assured us.
The new loan showed on my credit report and they didn't pay it, causing me to have my first missed payment in my credit report even though the new loan is also still with Kia (which had a later first payment date). I have still not gotten any new loan info on my new loan or payment info. Today my credit report still reflects the old loan that they supposedly fixed. Also the new loan paperwork showed false info like false miles (since we had driven the new vehicle for months before they made us rewrite the contract). They ran our credit both times for several report dings. And if I'm already this deep, they also included a window sticker addendum that charged extra for mud flaps, brake light flashers, wheel locks, etc. These things are already being charged extra for in the window sticker as dealer extras or just flat out were not installed. They are not including the two sets even when asked about it. They won't answer my calls, emails, or texts. What can I do?

KIA Motors Brakes failing

I purchased a 2021 SX Telluride on Labor Day 2020. In May 2021 I began to experience break failure. I would depress the brake pedal to the floor and pumped it a few times to completely stop. I took to a dealer nearby and it was diagnosed as a foreign liquid in the system that contaminated the entire system. I agreed to have it all replaced. It took over 3 weeks for the vehicle to be repaired at a cost of $7K. I spoke with the shop that had done an oil change on 27 Apr 21 and asked if they had put in fluid into the brake system. They showed and explained to their process in doing oil changes. Their work tables had no fluids on or nearby. Their fluids are stored away from any work table and all bottles sealed. The shop rep mentioned that there would be no need to add fluids because it's a new vehicle. The shop also sent me the testing do they did for all fluids and the brake fluid test was fine. I have the photo of that test. This is when the shop rep went online and was able to locate that an exact issue as mine has already been reported. Website was Kia Telluride.org. The dealer service rep showed and gave a sample of the brake fluid and a photo of it as well. The first sample was clear with an oily a droplets in it. The second one is a different color. More yellowish. This yellowish color is the same color of what is in my telluride right now. So I don't what the dealer rep was looking at. I want Kia Corporation to pay for these expense since the issue already exist in two vehicles. and experienced the same thing. You may reach me at my email. The photo closest to the top of brake reservoir is what the dealer rep sent me. The others I took today 3 Jul 21. You notice the cap is off, tats because the dealer mechanic didn't cap the reservoir. Thank you for your time.

Desired outcome: I want Kia Corporation to pay for my repairs.

KIA Motors Kia soul burnt. Total loss.

My Kia soul but. Total loss, filed claim with Kia motors claims department. Ryan is supposed to be handling the claim. He will not return phone calls, I have spoken with numerous other people at Kia who say they can see the claim and every document I have sent but cannot help, because Ryan is the man handling the claim. I spoke with Jason who seen everything in the claim on his computer. He says a rental car should have been furnished the next day. Didn't happen. He went on to say this claim should have been settled by now. The car burnt April 11th today is June 30th and this Ryan won't even return a phone call I have left messages with every voice mail I can get. Every time I am lucky enough to talk to a real person, they say they will put a 48 hour notice for Ryan to call back, it never happens. I would love to get some help on this.

KIA Motors Towbin Kia, Henderson

Towbin Kia in Henderson, Nevada took possession of my end of lease car. They took both of my car keys, drove my car to another area on their lot. One month later I called the dealership to inquire why my former car finance company is calling me. Towbin Kia said they do not return leased cars and no deal to purchase my car. Then they would not return my leased car to me after I said I am coming to pick up so I can turn in my lease. Towbin Kia said they "lost" both keys. Said they would replace keys then arrange for a tow. Have this all on a text message and yet they did none of what they said. After 6 days, they still refused to return my car keys to me that are in their possession. Salesman, floor manager, internet sales & General Manager refused to return my car or my voice messages. Kendale Walke, Thomas Voltz, Nick Taylor, literally text me one response then say the complete opposite. They have done absolutely nothing to remedy their error.

KIA Motors Pearl White peeling paint on 2014 Kia Sorento

I have a Pearl White 2014 Kia Sorento that has the same paint peeling problem that I have seen so many other owners saying that they have. The problem started for me at about 60, 000 miles and of course I was told that the warranty had expired on the paint.

I was also told by someone at the KIA Corporation that they would send me an email with a claim number so I could submit a claim to have a new paint job paid for but first they wanted me to get estimates from two different places. Until I have a guarantee from them that they will pay for it, I am not taking my time to do that since it is their fault and they know there is a problem. And I don't think it should matter what the estimate comes back as, they should pay for no matter what!

Very disappointed with this vehicle because it also just has to have the engine replaced because of the engine problems that KIA also know about. That I didn't have to pay for but it was an inconvenience to us!

KIA Motors Paint chipping

My 2016 Sorento, pearl white has begun to chip. More comes off everyday just from driving. It started as a tiny place like in the pic below and now has continued to get quite large. There's 2 new places as of this post that was not there last week so now there's a total of 4 spots that are peeling. The paint isn't even attached to the hood, which is why it just flakes off.

Desired outcome: I would like my hood fixed.

KIA Motors Kia soul 2015

To whom it may concern:

I bought my Kia at Capitol Kia in San Jose CA. I started having issues with my oil at around 80K miles. I told the dealership that there is no reason for my oil to be really low after 2k miles. I advise that they check my engine as it seems like the car is low on oil before its next oil change at 3k or 5k. They advise that nothing is wrong or they do not see any leaks. Also, they said that if it is low on oil bring it back so they can fill it up. Moreover, they mentioned that I need to continue driving it to see if it continues to happen. So I have been filling the car with oil as it runs out after 2k miles. This should not be the case with the car. Clearly, it is burning through oil and that is not a good sign. I brought it to 3 different dealerships. The first, the dealership is in Capital Expressway San Jose CA, the second dealership is Kia Winn in Fremont CA, and the third dealership San Leandro CA Kia. The first 2 dealerships advise that nothing is wrong and that they will refill if the oil is low. The third dealership refuses to look at the car so it sat in their lot for at least 3 days before I decided to pick it up. Now, my car is not working and the engine light is on. So all three dealerships refused to fixed the issue. I am not happy with the service and the way they decided to diagnosed my car as now the car is not even safe to drive now. Please fix the issue or I will take this issue to court. This is not the way customers should be treated if it is a known issue that the Kia Souls have burning oil issues. I looked into it and the recommended solution is to replace the engine as there are ongoing issues with Kia Souls burning through oil. Let me know if you need additional information from me. Also, I have copies of invoices to check why my car is burning through oil. I am unable to attach it here so If you have an email I can provide the invoices. to keep it simple i brought my car in for a recall. engine fire problem. my car hase ben there for 4 months and they tell me they are waiting for a part. cutomer service was no help. they all say they dont know when the part will be available.customer service said they cant get the dealer to answer them
