i've been using HP sauce for as long as i've lived. i grew up in the UK and have lived in in number of places in the world and have enjoyed HP sauce as a consistent and high quality product for more than 60 years.
However, recently i've noticed that the HP sauce made under licence in Canada is a much inferior product to the one i know. it's very watery and runny. It used to take effort to get HP out of the bottle. Now it runs out almost as easily as water.
This is not the first time I've suspected Heinz of 'shrinkflation' tactics. For example, your 'British Style' baked beans contain fewer beans and more sauce which, like the HP sauce, is very thin and runny.
Shrinkflation is an underhand way to maximize profit at the expense of the consumer. It should be banned, and offending corporations should be heavily censured for their greed.
Also, the Contact Us form linked to on the Heinz Canada website only allows USA addresses in the dropdown menu. Where is the Canadian Contact Us facility?
Claimed loss: my loss is minimal. Heinz Canada's loss is its reputation.
Desired outcome: admit to shrinkflation, and stop doing it.
