food poisoning
On Thursday November 8th around 12 pm at the Coon Valley Store, I purchased an angus cheese burger that was on special. All I had to eat at lunch was the sandwich and a soda and by 3pm I had to leave work because I was starting to get sick. I was throwing up all after noon and evening and it wasn't a stomach bug because I was feeling fine before that.
My name is Sara Rudie and my phone number is [protected].

normal customer service
I go to store number 158, one or two times a day. I have conversations with the workers they are great. Very forgetful, like they literally have zero idea who I am everytime.
I lost my ID, its the weekend and I wanted a pack of cigarettes. I go in there thinking after 2 years they might remember me. No, no they do not, I am a complete stranger.
I worked it customer service for years now, thats one of the big rules. Get to know the customers.
So I went over to the SA and they said hi, with my name. Because they actually know who I am.
2 years and only one person knows me at store 158, that would make any customer feel low as possible.
employee conduct
I used to frequent the Kwik Trip in Sheboygan on Moth Avenue. I have recently started going to other gas stations and convince stores due to an employee named Trisha. She never has a smile on her face and often looks angry. Within the past month every time I would stop in the store she has her focus and attention on a young man with a tattoo on his forehead. To be honest when she stands there and talks to him was the first time I've seen her smile. I've heard other employees mention that this gentleman has been in the store for the third time that night. I am happy with taking my business elsewhere, but I thought it was important to communicate the conduct of your employees while on the clock. Best wishes, Lillian

hot food
I am a loyal customer of kiwk star but it seems every time I go to get something to eat either the hot food has been on the warmer to long or there ain't none. I am a fan of the roller dogs. I have come in several times and had to wait 5 mins for 2 hot dogs and then they weren't done all the way. I am very disappointed that I have went to Casey's to get hot and ready pizza instead. Thank you
service
On Sept 16, I stopped at the store with my 17 year old son and my 22 year old daughter. My daughter lives near there and goes there alot as I do when I visit. I purchased buns, coffee and they had each gotten a drink. I asked to purchase a pack of cigarettes. She asked me for my id (I am 59), she looked over my id and said I need to see id from everyone. Needless to say my daughter was not happy. Is this a company policy? If so what is the age cutoff? If I came in with a 12 year old would it have happened? I am a supervisor cashier for 40 years and have had training. We card all party if someone is suspicious or we feel uncomfortable selling. I was well dressed and spoken. I believe the cashier was Madison. But as a supervisor in the field, I would suggest to my employees not to do the eyebrow lift and eye roll to any customer. We will not be frequenting any kwik trips and if this is a company policy be sure to let all stores know and what the age limit is! Very embarrassed
Thank you

insensitive comment from staff
I visited the Madison Kwik Trip on Maple Grove & Mckee. The cashier explained to me that she wanted to make sure I was well taken care of because I come there often & because I'm older. I was very upset by this comment because I'm only 52. I definitely don't need special treatment because of my age. I can take care of myself. I appreciate attentive service but the age comment was not appropriate. This store is most convenient for me on my way home for lunch & end of day but I will now go out of my way to another store. I seriously considered trying to work at a Kwik Trip part time but now I'm afraid I may be turned down because of my perceived age. I also work in customer service & I would never comment on someone's age. Please educate your staff on how to talk to customers.
lack of courtesy
I have to say the service was wonderful in the past at my favorite cleanliness family gastation. Your employees, followed to some degree the motto of your family owned business. It's been lacking in several areas; when it comes to treating others as how you would like to be treated. Unless, you as an employee like to belittle others and have learned at some point in life that's ok. It's not, what happen to having love somewhere in your heart. I understand we all come from different culture's, moral values and beliefs. Some with no direction or understanding and disbelief of change. However, we are at a time we have to teach oneanother "respect" and "beautiful mercy". Counsel the doubt, empower them in what a family owned business is. Unless you are starting to grow your company and family and the money are transforming. Then this message isn't for the family business nor it's children. This is for lost and weak - we don't need a degree to see when people have fallen and doubt is in question. Take time, to listen and let the flustered, grumble; but have your employees pick up the bricks and do their jobs. Making excuses or teaching these different generations that some have to help pick up bricks and others don't is not the correct teachings. We are promised things all time. The crisis is we need to teach others with trust and senserity. Once we learn this we can stay commited. Having employees distrust and lack composure in community, work, school just shows how we lack education. "im sure that he who began good work.in providing you a family of gastations; allowed you to bring back positive outcomes when pumping fuel. Children, also you were given work to teach not to astray. Send and teach messages through customer service. Making errors and learning from errors only enlightens us. When we hurt others with our words, only shows we to hurt. Surely, all days are not hurting, harping and grieving. When this only carries out more petitions for one to complain. Like myself, now this has esculated, and I feel the need to say something. I have called in the past a 1 800 # because you have to two older women employees that feel they have some sort of power and can stand at checkout, complain constantly, and dont say hello nor thank you. Now, I see them bickering and complaing about another employee"jeff". Have they asked themselves; why they take so long to even ask if you want a different service or receipt. No because there so focused on complaing on another co-worker. With this being said"the constant harrassment these women degrating an employee called jeff " ; it just makes me have to teach the word love oneanother and take this tragedy women and learn you could live with graces and triumph if a little love sores from your hearts.
kaukauna store hwy 55
Everytime I go here I get crappy service. Once I waited 10 minutes for the pump to be approved because they had to verify my plate. Yesterday I go to get gas no one would again press a button so I could pump gas. I never got the gas by the way. Then I go in the store to get cigarettes was asked for my Id because I don't look like I'm 18. I am 45 years old and have grey hair and I don't look of age. Then it wasn't good enough that I showed it to them, I could take it out so they can read it. This place is a joke. Any other store that I go to have never been treated so poorly. They have lost my business. Evidently this store doesn't want my business so they won't get it. If I get treated like this at other stores I will quit going to them all. Very disappointing!
customer service
I stopped at Kwik Trip in Eyota Minnesota on Thursday August 23 at roughly 6:00 pm. The gentleman behind the counter ( name tag said Josh) was very rude and stared me down, when I went to say hello he just kept staring at me and would not say hello. He looked really pissed off. The lady's behind the counter always greet me and say hello. I make it a point to stop there before work because they are great. No one should be treated like that. If it keeps up I am sorry to say but I will have to find somewhere else to go.
cashier
Morgan, a third shift employee at your location on Racine Avenue and Janesville Road in Muskego has been rude and disrespectful to me on more than one Occasion. Today I was in interested in buying jewel pods and asked for some help when she was hesitant to help me barely spoke to me and was very rude I had to leave the store without making the purchase. I've shopped at your store almost daily for the last 10 years and I've never come across someone so rude and disrespectful to me and my family and all of my experiences there. All of your other employees have been wonderful friendly nice upbeat and very personal Until I have encountered Morgan the last few weeks. The first few times she was rude to me I let it go thinking maybe if she had a bad day or something, but now it's every time that I am in she doesn't speak to me doesn't greet me and doesn't say anything to me during my transactions.
I love your store but this will Deterr me from shopping there if this continues.
Thanks Michele
id not accepted
I wanted to buy some cigarettes and when I was about to pay they asked
For my ID so I gave it to them and the manager told me they couldn't accept my ID cause it says Mexico on top it had to be a state ID. I have a Mexico consular ID and they have always accepted it "Julia" another worker who always sells me cigarettes says she has never sold me anything before. I never thought "the manager" could discriminate a Mexican. Which he said he was not discriminating me but kwik trip has an ID policy both the manager and the other worker were being kinda rude about my situation which hurt me emotional, I went to another kwik and talked to someone and they told me they do accept Mexico consular ID or any photo ID with birthdate on it. I hope someone do something about it. But kwik trip 2622 south businesses drive in Sheboygan Wisconsin lost a customer today
cold chicken salad sandwich
I couldn't wait to move back from South Dakota so I can get my Kwik Trip chicken salad sandwich..I love those...now you guys use nasty nasty bread and not regular white bread..not everyone likes the bread your using now. A lot of us would love to have the sandwich back with the white bread..Is there anyway you guys can make the chicken salad sandwich with the regular white bread again?
rewards card
Does your employees get a commission from the rewards card? I am wondering why I get harassed everyone I am in there about this card. I have one but don't always choose to use it and when they ask and I say no, they get mad at me saying things like " What you don't like free sandwiches" Or " You don't like money off on gas". Sometimes I am in a hurry and just want to go and not fish for the card. It gets to the point that I have been going there less just to avoid the harassment. I now only go if I am not in a hurry, which sucks since I did enjoy the stores. Sometimes I feel like they are trying to sell time shares. This mostly happens with only certain employees at the Hartford WI location.
It’s the company making them harass customers to use the card and trust me when I say, they could care less about missing out on deals or free stuff. It is a tracking tool first and foremost. A tracking tool that has conveniently extended its reach after partnering with other Big Corporations, securing their MASSIVE💰from Big Tech giants for selling our personal information, ie, every single transaction you make in your life.
My friend told me that they have to ask for the cards as a part of their requirements, just like they have to harass people with suggestive selling. If they don't it can effect their raise. They are just trying to do their job. They are also told how their store compares with other stores when it comes to the card usage in order to guilt trip them into remembering to ask for it.
They do not get commissions for the kwik rewards cards. There was just a huge push for them because they were new and didn't want customers missing out on them. Especially since the fuel "coupon" got moved to the cards as cents off per gallon.
cashier in marshfield wisconsin
I went in to get breakfast this morning at QuikTrip in Marshfield Wisconsin on Central Avenue I only had $3 I grabbed three pieces of fruit which were three for a dollar and I grabbed a bunch of bananas I told Donna the cashier that I only had $3 I hope I don't go over that she rang up the fruit and my soda and then Wade the bananas my total was $3.87 shoot I said take some bananas off the bunch instead of that Donna began trimming the ends off the bananas with a scissors I said what are you doing she said she was trimming the banana so I can get more for my money. After trimming the bananas she got my total down to $3.02 and she only had to take one banana off the bunch! Then she kindly took $0.02 out of the penny Bowl and I was good to go. I thanked her and told her she made my day that was a above and beyond standard service. I told her I would tell everyone today about Donna my cashier at Marshfield.
customer service and inconsistency
I go to my local Kwik Star to buy cigarettes almost every single day. Susan very happily tells me almost every time that she doesn't need my ID because she knows me. So tonight I go in to get my cigarettes and I forgot my ID. She has sold me cigarettes countless times without one. (I do know that you're not supposed to do that) So I very nicely left came home search for my ID and had no luck. I did however find my old one. since she apparently doesn't need my ID any other time I go there I thought maybe even though it was expired she might take it because she knows me and it has my age on it. When she refused I asked her about all the other times she sold me cigarettes without ID-ing and me first, and she claims she never has. I'm not upset that she wouldn't sell me the cigarettes, I'm upset that she is very inconsistent on whether or not she needs it. She was rude and unpleasant, and called me a liar in front of customers. I do not think that is fair that just because there are different people working night to night, she can pick choose when and when not is necessary to ID someone. You either need the ID or you don't. And I'm pretty sure legally you always do. I don't appreciate being disrespected nor do I appreciate her calling me a liar to my face when I just bought a pack of cigarettes from her 2 days ago without an ID. Maybe instead of trying to cover her own [censored] when she's not doing what she supposed to be doing, she should just enforce the rules all the time. So people like me that are in a hurry, don't get confused about wether or not it is required and have to make more then 1 trip to the store after a long very stressful day at work. I will no longer be coming to your Kwik Star nor will I recommend anybody else go there if customers are going to be disrespected in such a way. In no situation should you ever call your customer a liar and in my opinion it is entirely her fault that I assumed I didn't need my ID. As that is how she has made it seem for the past 7 or so years that I have been buying my cigarettes from there. Most times I come fully prepared ID in hand, just to be told that I don't need it. But then all of a sudden the one time I can't find it I'm a liar? Absolutely ridiculous. Either enforce your policies, or don't. I don't really care. But everybody in that establishment should be on the same page and should know what they are and aren't supposed to do. This isn't the first time that Susan has been rude to me. I came in to get ice and cups last week and she just rolled her eyes at me and scoffed because technically she can't charge me for those items because there wasn't any drinks in them. I very nicely asked her if she would like me to fill them and told her that I would happily pay for the cups in the ice or fill them and pay for the drinks. Her response was "Nope I guess you just get them for free". I've lived in this town for 7 years and have always considered the 3rd Avenue Kwik Star one of my favorite gas stations. But Susan has ruined that for me. I did get a bit upset and for that I apologize. But it's very frustrating when no one in that gas station follows the same rules regulations and policies as everyone else. You just lost a 7-year customer over what? Crappy communication, bad attitudes, a management not enforcing the policies that they should be 100% of the time not just when they feel like it. Haley Barker and Scott Peppel are fantastic every time I come in. Even if they can't help me with something, they are polite and apologetic about whatever the situation may be. Susan was far from any of those things. I've worked in customer service as management my whole life, I understand that the customer is not always right. However, I would never disrespect someone in front of other employees and customers in that way. There is a right and a wrong way to handle upset or disgruntled customers. I do it on a daily basis. The way she handled the situation was not professional at all nor was it even mildly polite. She came off as rude, stuck up, irritated. Just because she is not doing her job correctly and I called her out on it, does not give her the right to treat me in any such way. You just lost a seven-year customer. Congratulations Susan.
cleanliness, availability of store items
I visit the store in Fountain City, WI on an almost daily basis. Over the past few months, I have observed that it is very dirty. The beverage machines, and sinks are covered in dust and there are spills and splashes on the counters an machines that have not been cleaned up for days. The counter where the condiments are and the soup serving area is also unclean with various dried on spilled condiments and soups.
Items such as packets of mixed nuts have been out of supply for a couple of weeks, the box they were in sits there empty. Since early last week, one of the cappuccino has been out, there has been a sign on it saying that it is "temporarily out of service". Yesterday another one of the flavors is out and when I reported it to staff they said, they do not have more for that machine.
I also visit Kwik Trip stores in Arcadia and River Falls, WI and find them to be well stocked and clean.
cleaning
I have the opportunity to use the two convenient Kwik Trip location of Slinger WI and Hartford WI. They are a night and day difference on how each of them are kept clean. The Hartford location always have dirty floors, dirt in corners or food crumbs under food warming stations etc. Now on the other hand Slinger location is beautiful maintained in appearance. I have mentioned this to district managers before on what I've observed and it seems its not important to kept a high standard in cleanliness between all stores because it seems that Hartford location is exempt. Have a territory manager do a random spot check early morning and you will see what people see. Is very inappropriate for Kwik Trip Standards.
service
On Saturday December 30, my husband and I stopped in for gas at the Union Center Kwik Trip and my husband had his wallet stolen or at least not turned in. My husband and I searched the store and outside everywhere we could. We had mentioned it to the workers and they didn't seem overly concerned. My husband and I were frantic. They didn't even suggest to look at the cameras until I requested him to have them do so. The camera footage was terrible and he said very out of date. My question is why didn't the help call in the proper authorities when someone has personal property stolen and be a little more helpful, instead my husband had to do it when we got to our destination. It was a large amount of money but that should not have mattered because all the important items were in his wallet. Just disappointed, , because I work in retail and that store handles things alot better.
Who or how did the wallet get taken? Are you sure you didn't just lose it? When was the last time you remember seeing it?
cold brew coffee
I went into my local kwik trip in waseca, mn to buy milk and my usual cold brew coffee. I was looking all around, as I could not see the container, it was not where it usually is. I asked a employee if they were cleaning it, or making more. The only response I got was "I don't know"! Well, I was not a happy camper! I would have gladly waited to have some freshly brewed. But nope - no one seemed to care that it wasn't out. Not very good service, as I understand that cold brew may be made sparingly throughout the day. The workers need to do a better job of having cold brew available!?

The Problem with food poisoning claims is most of the time it takes 4 to 24 hours to make a person sick. Many people are fine up until the point when it finally overtakes the Immune System. So it could have been something you ate prior with in 24 hours. I am sure they sold many burgers that day so unless you know or heard of a group of people who got sick it is impossible to pin point exactly where the source came from.
