Ford Motor Company had a recall on the steering system as it was defaulting and locking up
Ford Motor Company had a recall on the steering system as it was defaulting and locking up. My Ford *** model was affected by this issue and the steering part was replaced in 2017. Additionally, the car had an airbag recall, which resulted in it being out of commission for 9 months. Unfortunately, in 2020, the steering locked up again, and I had to replace the same part. It is disappointing that the steering part needed to be replaced again less than 3 years after its initial replacement.
On 9-06-22, my mother's 2002 Ford van broke down due to the rear axle breaking
On 9-06-22, my mother's 2002 Ford van broke down due to the rear axle breaking. We noticed that a bracket had been added to the axle, and upon researching, we discovered that the bracket had been installed as part of a recall (#15S27) in 2011. I contacted Ford Motor Co. and they informed me that we needed to take the van to a Ford dealer for inspection to determine if the axle broke on the brackets. If it did, they would replace the axle. We had the van towed to Laird Noller Ford, where the service manager confirmed that the brackets were indeed broken and they would replace the axle. However, he was unsure if Ford would cover the cost of the ruined tire, the body damage to the van, or the towing charges. He promised to let me know. The following day, the service manager called me and informed me that Ford Motor Co. had decided not to pay for any repairs. Initially, Ford Motor Co. had agreed to fix the issue, and the service manager had also assured me that they would fix it. However, now neither party is standing by their initial statements.
We purchased an extended warranty from Laird, which they claimed was 'bumper to bumper'
We purchased an extended warranty from Laird, which they claimed was 'bumper to bumper'. Recently, my husband noticed that the exhaust pipe on my car looked abnormal when he took it to be washed. Last August, we had brought the car to Laird auto repair because of a power steering issue, and they informed us that the entire rack & pinion steering needed to be replaced. Shockingly, they had forgotten to secure the steering wheel, which could have been extremely dangerous. We had to bring the car back in September to have this error corrected. In June this year, my husband noticed that the exhaust pipe was pointing in the wrong direction. We immediately contacted Laird to schedule an appointment, but since we were leaving town the following week, we had to postpone the appointment until after our trip due to our lack of confidence in their previous work. Unfortunately, we had to drive the car during our trip. Finally, on Monday, July 19, we took the vehicle to Laird for the appointment. To our surprise, they claimed that the misalignment was 'not covered by the warranty' and would cost $*** to realign the bumper. They insisted that there was no damage and were unsure why the misalignment had occurred. I strongly believe that Laird is responsible for causing the misalignment, and I also believe that it should be covered by the warranty. What options do I have in this situation?

Since we bought our truck, it has had a rough idle
Since we bought our truck, it has had a rough idle. When we initially brought it to Laird Noller in [location], they dismissed it as normal and refused to investigate further. After enduring approximately six more months of the issue, it worsened to the point where the truck would stall when stopped. Frustrated, I decided to take it to Laird Noller in [different location].
At this point, the vehicle has spent weeks, if not months, at the shop. Each time we bring it in, we are told that they either cannot identify the problem or they replace various components such as solenoids and batteries, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. I even paid to have the battery replaced, but it had no effect. The dealership claimed that my aftermarket headlights were to blame, despite the fact that they were installed and purchased after my initial complaint. In an attempt to rule out this possibility, I uninstalled the headlights myself and brought the truck back to the dealership, but the problem persisted.
The truck has died on multiple occasions, with the most recent incident occurring just before I attempted to turn on [missing part]. After managing to get it started again, it continued to lose power as we turned onto another highway, causing us to worry if we would be able to continue driving.
In June, my 2014 Ford vehicle began having issues, so I promptly took it to the dealership
In June, my 2014 Ford vehicle began having issues, so I promptly took it to the dealership. The transmission control module appeared to be the issue and I was told to not drive the vehicle and leave it there to be fixed. This was a recall issue, therefore it would be fixed at no cost. During this time, Laird Noller Ford refused to provide a rental car, which I saw as poor customer service, but didn't push too much with them. It is now November and they have the part to fix my car. I was told that since my car sat so long it now requires a new battery and spark plugs. The dealership has now informed me they will not be covering those parts or labor. Had my car not been a faulty product to begin with, or if they had been willing to pay more to procure the part that other Ford dealers were able to get, this would have never happened. Their actions are the sole reason my car is not in working order. I believe I have been extremely patient and understanding until this point. My only wish is for them to fix the issues caused by their company at no cost to me, and I will be happy to take my business elsewhere in the future.
