Something needs to be done about these scams as they target innocent people who are 80% of the time in need of money, I am one of the lucky few who is able to spot such things one day they will effect an individual who will end up lossing everything because of this,

bad service, bad attitude
I bought a LG fridge in Dec '07. It has broken 4 times. Finally LG told us they'd replace it. It is under guarantee but has been discontinued (because it was rubbish!). So LG gave us a credit at the store where we bought it. Due to inflation or whatever, we can only get a 300litre one when our old one was a 409litre one. It'll cost us R2000 to get something similar. If you guarantee a 409 litre fridge, you should replace it with a 409 litre fridge? Surely?
Since 3 Aug (it is now 3 Sep '09), I have been phoning LG to resolve this. I have to speak to a lady called Jabu at their callcentre. She is never at her desk. I leave messages for her. She never calls back. When I finally got to speak to her, she was unhelpful and rude.
Finally I got someone helpful, called Noel who has done what he can and has now referred my job on to Exchanges. Back to Jabu. Yay! And a guy called Themba, who is even ruder and arrogant Clearly never heard of customer service.
And the loan fridge...It came with roaches! Lots of them. And a smell like something died in it. And it too doesn't actually work properly.
I'll think twice about buying LG again. And am telling everyone I can about this experience.
lg bad support and no delivery
I have a LG LCD television that the display panel failed just after the 24 month warranty. After taking it to the LG dealer in PE (May 2009) they where unable to be of any sort of assistance. I then approached the LG call centre and was told that they would replace the current set for a new set at a fee. The fee was payed on the 13th August 2009 and 4 day delivery to the LG dealer in PE. A week later after not getting any response or even a tracking number from the dealer, got hold of Themba who said they are moving warehouse and have a backlog. (email 200809)
No contact from anyone at LG has been made and we have payed for no delivery or service. I find LG to be completely incompetent and unprofessional. This has to be the worst service I have ever had from any company in South Africa.

I have brought the LG phone model KM 380 which was advertised as MUSIC PHONE expandable up to 8GB. I recently upgraded to 8GB and loaded 1500 songs. unfortunately it doesn't load more than 1000 songs. I reached out to service center at Rajajinagar, Bangalore, also escalated to Kormangala office. They answer like any local brand saying we never said it loads more than 1000 songs. Then why did they advertise it as MUSIC PHONE?, any way until now, no resolution. BE CAREFUL abt LG Mobiles.

After two month my microwave not working and spark coming out from cabinet and items within guarantee period and I have microwave given to LG care center port Blair. After one month repair the same and return back to me. Again two month my microwave same problem occurred and I have handed over to LG care center port Blair he repair and retune back to me after one and half months . This type problem occurred four times in a year in between my guarantee period also completed, in one year my microwave seven month with LG care center port Blair. Still my microwave in LG care center for repair last two months Since the items essential in day –to- day use.
Therefore, my request to help me out and replace my microwave priority base for I shall be highly obliged to you.

I had purchased LG mobile (LG GW 550) on 27/5/2010 bearing IMEI no.

I was provided with some reasons expressing inability of service
centre to provide free replacement of battery.
Then I made a complaint to LG service centre (by email) and a senior
person agreed to resolve the issue (Mr. Prasad: [protected]) but only
verbal assurances till date.

The problem is now extremely serious:
Battery drains, applications dont work, key pad does not respond, mic
and speaker are dead (neither able to hear the voice of caller nor
vice versa);
mobile is as good as piece of stone in my pocket.
I am using 20% of feature of this mobile and am 90% dissatisfied with
product as well as poor services & irressponsiveness to service
request.
I only see one solution take my mobile and refund money back

front loading washer machine
The LG front loading washer (WM1814CW) we purchased and installed new January 2006 developed a problem last week. I had the recommended service company come out to check the machine. As it turns out the wash drum broke loose and would cost around $600.00 to repair. This really ticked me off given that the unit was just over 4 years old. Goes to show that although LG may make good TV displays, their washers aren't worth crap! I asked the service technician for a recommendation. He said stay away from LG and go with Whirlpool. I purchased a new Whirlpool today which is scheduled to be installed tomorrow. At that time they will also take the LG crappy bucket of bolts out of here!
I won't buy LG anything in the future and will certainly let people know how sorry a product our LG washer turned out to be!

I bought an LG PEP GD 510 from EZONE[@ OMR Road Chennai] on 13-06-2010.
From the day I bought the phone I suffered allot.
The list describes the problems which I got after 2 days from 13th June-2010.
1.Phone hangs by itself during working and switch off automatically, at times shows emergency only with no network.
2.At times while speaking it automatically gets switched off which is so irritating.
3.All the speakers say that my voice is too low, which is hard to hear, at times it's very tough to hear me even I shout-Which is very important for communication.
4.Purpose of buying a phone is to communicate.
That too buying a phone for 6500 Rupees and it does not help me to communicate then there is no point, absolutely not making any sense.
5.Also the battery is instable. It goes from 3 points to 2 points nad from 2 to Low battery level. It's so annoying. This makes me to worry too much.
6. I sent an email rearding the above problems to LG India customer support .
7.They asked me to take my mobile to service center.
8.Took my mobile to Genesis Communications-Authorised LG service center.
9.Reported all the problems mentioned above.
-They said it's software and Speaker problem, that's why listeners was not able to hear properly.
10.After 4 days they returned my mobile and said everything resolved.

poor lg washing machine installation
I purchased LF Fully Automatic washing machine 4 days ago. Till now the installation is not complete and I can not use it.
I heard LG is good in after sales service, but it is not true. I am frustated with them.
We called up customer care on wednesday and they informed that within 2 hours their engineer will came me. But we haven't received call till next day. He came for installation after 4 days, but he was not technically sound to complete the installation. He wasn't able to fix the inlet pipe into the tap.
He told me that he will come in the evening to fix it, but when I called him in the evening he switched off his mobile phone.
I am really frustated by the kind of service LG is offring.

All the household appliances which I have been using for a pretty long time are the products of LG.
But those days have gone when people could purchase any product of LG without any hesitation; now it would perhaps be better if nobody purchases any product of LG, because along with the poor servicing and selling of low quality product, the LG showroom also has started cheating the customers by way of selling the “seconds” in the name of new ones.
Your slogan of making the life good has been proved futile and speaks for your journey to miles not for our smile but for stealing money by any means.
I am now giving you a brief account of my experiences which would not only restrain me from purchasing any of the LG products in future but it would also may provoke me to describe the hazards of purchasing any product of LG to my relatives, colleagues and friends.
I got astonished first when my microwave woven had stopped working within 7(seven) months from the date of its purchasing and simultaneously when it was repaired by the LG Service Center having replaced the damaged parts by the old ones. I was asked to bear charges for getting the replacement done by the new parts. My astonishment had crossed the limit when the digital display unit got damaged just after few days of the servicing and that LG personnel had never turned up again before the expiry of warranty even after a lot of requests made to the Service Center. However I considered it as a stray incidence.

2nd Incidence
I have two LG colour Televisions. One is Joymax(21”) and another is Cineplus(15”). Suddenly the first one had stopped functioning just before the commencement of the World cup Football though it showed excellent picture quality and made a very good performance for a pretty long time.
I had to pay nearly rupees one thousand for getting the repair done by the servicing personnel of LG and then surprisingly found that the picture quality has become worst. When I had contacted that person, he told me that he would come and replace one more parts for good picture quality; but he did not turn up again so far like before.
3rd Incidence
On 4th instant, I purchased one Double Door Refrigerator from LG Shoppe, Cams Corner (P) Ltd, C-105, City Center, Salt Lake City, Kolkata-700064. The order was confirmed by Mr. Nabin having Cell No.[protected].
The Goods was supplied on the 7th of this month with its door broken inside. The same was replaced with one in very dirty condition on the very next day and that appeared to have been used for any other purpose for a long time. I had expressed my apprehension and got it endorsed by them in writing; and my apprehension had proved true when we found the Refrigerator did not have any cooling effect. The same was again replaced with another one of different model on the next day; but the body of the refrigerator is defective at different points. Besides, the apparent look of the compressor is not satisfactory and seems to have been kept open for a long time after getting it refused by some other customer. The smear of dirt inside the Refrigerator speaks for this truth.

I had a very nice pleasant conversation (bitter conversation) with one of the warranty adviser about replacing my cell phone battery still under the one year warranty. Obviously LG warranty is to send the old battery to them and wait 15 to 20 days and stay without phone. That sucks. I told customer support that is not acceptable and I will not stay without a phone. I proposed to accommodate me. Did not want to help at all. I ask her to transfer me to the manager but she refused to do so. I am so ashamed of LG. I own 2 LG cell phones + electronics. But now I just want to get ride of them and never buy LG product.
Do they honestly think I will stay without a phone for a month waiting for a new battery…. NOT IN THIS CENTURY!. Shame on LG!. Custumer care? WHERE?
In the past (3 month ago) Motorola gladly sent to me a replacement battery (for my daughter cell phone) and upon receipt I sent back the old one with their pre-paid envelop. That is what I call business to accommodate client.

no cooling - compressor faulty
I have purchased a Spilt A/c Model No. LSN5CG3VF6 with 1.5 Ton Capacity on 18th April, 2010 from E-Zone Electronics Paschim Vihar and the same was installed on 19th April, 2010. Just 2 months have passed and from 21st June the AC was not cooling and a Complaint was lodged on 22nd June, 2010 morning at 8.00 A.M. vide Complaint Number C0162300445 vide which we were informed that the Engineer will visit within 24 hours But after repeated reminders with no sight of Engineer coming to inspect I called Ms. Shobha Pandey on 24th June, 2010 by 2:00 pm who promised that by evening some engineer will definitely visit, but that also went in vain no one visited our house to inspect the problem in the Air Conditioner. Nearly we would have made 100 calls to the customer care number and also to Unique Aircon at last the engineer visited on 25th evening at around 6.00 pm and told that there is no gas and next day morning he will fill it up.
But again the same problem happened till evening 5.00 clock no Engineer visited and after repeated calls the engineer came at 6.00 pm on 26th June, 2010 and started filling the gas after 10 minutes he told that there is leakage problem so he will ask the office to lift the outdoor unit and after repair he will install the same on Monday evening. I argued and informed them, within 2 months if there is leakage problem, I want a new one to be replaced and not repaired. They said it is not possible, and I need to contact the dealer from whom I purchased the AC. On Visiting the dealer he called some Parvesh and told that the Compressor part will be changed to new one and then will be delivered to us latest by Monday
Till 7.00 pm on Sunday i.e. 27th June, 2010 no one visited us to lift the compressor which was dismantled by the Engineer and after repeated 5 calls to various people at last took the ac for repair.
On 28th June, 2010 without any calls from the engineers, we called the customer care and spoke to Mr. Ashish who told that by evening the outdoor unit will be despatched and by morning the engineer will visit to install the same.
After 30 minutes Mr. Malhotra called and told that the Outdoor Unit is not repairable and will be replaced and it will take 10 days. After which I called the customer care number [protected] where Mr. Sushil spoke to me and then escalated the call to Mr. Navin who in turn asked me to speak to Ms. Shobha Pandey, FYI she does not pick up the phone at all. whenever we call just the caller tone is set and it gets disconnected. Mr. Navin told that within 45 minutes he will call back, now the time I am writing this is to you is 10:45 pm till now no call has been received.
Kindly let me know why should the customer face problem after paying an amount of Rs. 25000 ?

First impression is the best impression. Is this the kind of service provided by LG to their valued customer?
I need the replacement latest by 29th June, 2010 evening at 5.00 P.M. and the installation has to be done on the same day. Otherwise you can take back your AC and make us the payment of Rs. 25690/- which has been paid by us, so that we can buy another new AC and avoid the unwanted heat without fault of the customer.

I have never posted anything online before, but felt compelled to warn future buyers of any LG product to run in the opposite direction. I purchased a washing machine from Best Buy, Princeton, NJ (whom i also hold responsible) in May, 2005. In June, 2005 i was issued a replacement because the washer leaked (badly). Who manufacturers a washing machine that leaks. Unfortunately the new machine leaked also. We had unlimited repair people out just to tell us that they didn't know why it leaked. Now, in 2010, just five years later, our washer still leaks and the drum is broken. Not only did Best Buy not step up, but LG wanted nothing to do with this problem. We have been shuffled around with no answer to our problem.
I'm not a complainer, but please think twice about buying an LG product, Life is not Good when you have these products in your home.

I have a 2 yr. old sbs refridgerator and the refridgerator lower door hinge is bad. The entire mounting assembly on the bottom of the door has broken away.It is plastic backed up by foam insulation and a metal plate imbedded in the insulation. Not very stong at all.
I bought a brand new LG phone and the charge went bad and it is only 2 months old, and have been told by support, they will not replace the charge, and I have to buy one. That is just a complete rip off and I will never buy another LG product again if this mater is not taken care of!
We bought an LG top load washer 3 years ago, it literally came apart during the spin cycle (see photo). It damaged the vinyl floor, put a hole in the wall and dented the dryer next to it. All the plastic brackets holding the drum broke off, the top of the machine was ripped off and the cabinet was twisted and bent. We called Sears and they said that it was no longer under warranty (not 10 year warranty sticker on the front of the machine), then we called LG and they told us they would "fix" it. The machine is a total loss, everything is ruined but they're going to "fix" it. That was 2 weeks ago and we haven't heard anything since.
I wouldn't recommend any LG appliances and won't buy one ever again. As far as Sears goes, they no longer back up the products they sell and customer service is no longer a concern of theirs.
Sears just lost a customer and the washing machine is going in the landfill.
I replaced it with a Speed Queen, made in the US and all steel parts.

I would tend to think it was BEST BUY and the way they handle their applicances. I purchased a range from them and after FOUR attempts to deliver me one that wasn't dented up I gave up and got my money back. I went to Lowes who deals with the same company and had a perfect range delivered, so again it must be BEST BUY. I have and LG washer and dryer and love them both no problems.
I agree completly, I had a LG Dishwasher and currently have LG Front load Washer and Dryer. I purchased all 3 at the same time. The dishwasher never would clean anything and Home Depot just kept telling me to run vinagar through it to make it spray better. They never fixed any thing and said that it was working just fine! I replaced with a GE and will never ever go back. I guess the washing machine works ok, but the dryer is a joke. I could blow dry the stuff faster! The only way I would be happy is if they just gave my money back! Dont spend your money on these appliances!
