You need to add a continued watching feature. Once I finally figured out where you hid the queue, I went in to the second episode of a series, and it didn’t even act as though I had watched the first episode. The first episode isn’t marked as watched.
Second, why in the world would you put the queue under settings?
When Disney+ was launched, it didn’t have a continued watching option, but they quickly responded to the heavy demand for adding it. Hope you will do the same.
Good, but there is a noteworthy bug
I just downloaded the app to watch some movies since I’m gonna be stuck at home until the end of May (my GED course is choosing to stay closed until June 1). But there is a bug that needs to be fixed with the picture-in-picture, as it keeps dropping when trying to watch the live Epix channel feeds or when a network promo precedes a film or show selection. When the PIP is successfully activated while watching the VOD content, it pauses the program being shown rather than the stream continuing upon PIP activation.
Not worth paying for
In all honesty, this app is terrible. The app itself is very glitchy, it constantly restarts episodes that you’ve already watched, it doesn’t save settings such as closed captioning from episode to episode, it “drops” network connection even on WiFi and when all other apps work, and it logs me out all the time. This is just to name a few things off the top of my head. The show/movie selection is 95% things I’ve never heard of, 4% movies from 3 decades ago, and 1% From, which is the only reason I even still have this app.
*THE WORST STREAMING SERVICE EVER*
I have NEVER used a steaming app that works as poorly as this one. I know it’s not my TV or internet connection, because Netflix, Hulu, and everything else I pay for works perfectly fine. It’s constantly giving me error messages and saying it can’t load. I have not once been able to enjoy an entire movie without interruption. And honestly aside from the Hunger Games (which is why I paid for this and downloaded EPIX) there isn’t a great selection. Definitely not wasting another five bucks on this next month. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Bad software
Their own website won't let you create an account under service providers will just keep saying wrong combination and password. There isn't even a section for a password dude. It says username, email, and zip code are you serious?! Like do you even check your stuff? I had circumvent their website. Had say no sign in as free user then open another tab to sign in with cable provider matching best with the free account to just sign in with Provider subscription. Jeez out of everyone your the only one this bad. If there was a negative rating this would be it.
Very frustrating
I saw a movie I wanted to watch on EPIX, so I went to it and they made me get “EPIX now” because I didn’t have it for free from a provider. So I bought the subscription but then it told me I needed to download “EPIX now cast” for the tv to be able to view it. On the smart tv it only would show “EPIX cast” so I couldn’t even connect to a tv to watch the movie I wanted to view. I think it’s ridiculous to have to have 3 apps just to watch it when I couldn’t even watch the movie. I canceled the subscription without even being able to use it. Very disappointed
Broken avoid!
App appears to be broken. Despite my subscription it continues to advertise a 7 day trial and refuses to play content. There appears to be no “restore purchases” option or any other mechanism to force the app to reevaluate the account.
My iPad has no trouble determining that a subscription already exists, and pops up a confirmation when I log into the app, and when I attempt to purchase a subscription again.
Cannot watch content I’ve paid for = 100% broken
Looking forward to an update that fixes this issue. Until then do not spend money on this app!
Horrible app
Geez, you would think that they could figure this one out. I can’t watch in landscape mode on my phone. I have to watch it vertically and the view screen is small. All other streaming apps, Netflix, prime, STARZ, showtime, ALL are able to watch in landscape mode. Sad.
Even more… I subscribe on my Apple TV app with my Apple ID and password, and then try to watch it on my iPad signed in under the same Apple ID, and it says I need to subscribe.
You would think that the company could scrounge enough change from their pockets to pay SOMEONE to get their app working properly.
That is my exact experience. STARZ Paramount Arrow Amazon Lionsgate + all work fine. MGM+ outside of viewing it on the Amazon Prime platform is terrible
Download option buggy, needs work
I was heading to an off-the-grid cabin this week and had just started War of the Worlds S3, so I downloaded the next three episodes to watch on my iPad Mini 6th gen. Total fail. The app refused to function without a wifi or cellular connection. When I finally got wifi again on a trip to town, the app opened but the first episode I'ddownloaded failed to load and start playing; then all the downloads' status switched from downloaded to expired.
I'd also downloaded a movie and it played fine, but if I stopped watching and then went back to continue, there was no resume function and I had to scrub scan to find where I'd left off. Yikes!
Re Deep State episodes missing from season 2 on Directtv
I began watching the Epix channels this summer during the month long free trial on Directtv. I was able to watch all 8 episodes of the Deep Sttate series. I recently signed up for the Epix channels for $5.99 a month through Directtv so I could watch season 2. I am finding that episodes 3&5 of Deep State season 2 are missing from the on demand Directtv lineup. I have inquired several times both with Directtv and Epix and have gotten no where. Directtv says it is Epix who needs to add them and Epix says Directtv is responsible for adding them. So I am disappointed at this time. Epix if you are reading this can you fix this problem? Thanks
Terrible App
I’ve had lots of problems with this app over the last year or so. I don’t mind paying for the service and have no issues with being billed like others. The problem is the download feature. 9 times out of 10 episodes will download but on playback it’ll play the first few seconds then freeze. The timer keep running but with a frozen audio and screen. I contacted customer service a couple of times early on and tried all their solutions only to be told it’s my internet connection, which is ridiculous because I’m a heavy user of downloading for offline viewing on Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, AppleTV+, Showtime, HBO, Cinemax and Disney+ with no issues.
Apps are way too confusing
So there are separate Epic apps along with separate subscriptions. This is confusing for customers to choose which is best for you and Epix doesn’t explain ANY of this before purchasing. Then when I tried to download the app for my iPad the process to sign in was way too complicated, and I’m a millennial, I know about computers and applications and no way should watching a movie or choosing a subscription should be this complicated. Make sure you’re downloading to correct app because Epix banks on the fact that you won’t understand and will end up paying for both subscriptions. Definitely not user friendly unless you’re already subscribed to Epix through your service provider.
Not ready for public use
I signed up for a free trial on my Apple TV. Later I tried to load EPIX on my Roku. Roku sent me to EPIX.com/devices to register the device which I did. That page ask who my provider is. I chose Apple TV from the drop down list. I log into Apple with my id and mfa. Then EPIX asks me to create an account. That’s odd but ok. It asks for username, email, and zip. Got that? Username, email, and zip. I think, that’s odd again but ok. Entered that and hit submit. The error I get is incorrect username and password. Notice that’s not what was asked for? And no help is offered - no rules for usernames no forgot password links. You just locked out you potential customer. Not much potential left in this customer. Know your use cases and test them. Not that complicated

Honestly I don’t even know where to begin. This app won’t cast or stream on any device don’t waste your time. Obviously they don’t know how to just let you create a username and password to simply login. Wouldn’t it be nice to have an app where you can login and put your email/password in and watch what you paid for? Oh, that’s right they do exist it’s every other streaming service that’s available. This one has you login with every username and password that you’ve created since birth before you can even watch one movie. Oh but wait after you’ve done that all the app does is say “error” or “can’t download”. Obviously whoever created this wanted it to be as painful as possible to simply watch a movie. Hopefully this saves even one person from downloading this. I pray whoever downloads this may the gods be on your side.
Lots of great movies and TV
I downloaded this app just to watch season 2 of Get Shorty. It was well worth it.
This service is a tremendous value with hundreds of great movies and shows spanning decades.
But the app is in desperate need of improvement. I would give the ap itself only 2 stars. The movies stream well but there seems no practical way to build a view list. Every time I wanted to watch another episode of Get Shorty, I had to search it. I could find no option for "keep watching" or "recently viewed". Then when I located the series the episodes were not listed in chronological order. How bizarre is that.

I enjoyed watching Classics like Airplane! And a few others, but navigating the app was so annoying I decided to unsubscribe.
I'll come back in a couple months and check the reviews. I'll gladly re subscribe when the app is navigable and organized.

Good movies and shows, but no 4K or HDR
We have a 4K OKED TV and have been enjoying content on our Apple TV. For the most part, everything looks fantastic, except for the Epix app.
We gave Epix a try because it’s free right now. It’s immediately noticeable that it’s content is 1080p, with no up conversation to 4K. So, the picture looks a little soft, compared to similar content on Amazon, Netflix, or even HBOMax. That actually wouldn’t be so bad if Epix had HDR color. Compared to every single other app we stream video from, Epix has the worst color. It’s totally washed out and muted and the contrast very is poor.
Everything we’ve watched on Epix so far, I have wished was on another streaming service, so it would look better.
Epix has good content, it’s just tainted by poor execution.
I would not consider getting a subscription until they adopt HDR color. If I pay for premium content, I expect it to look like premium content.

I eagerly signed up for EpixNow membership and during the trial period was able to download and watch some series and movies. I need the downloading option because I usually don’t have access to fast internet connection.
Anyways I liked the library and had lots of stuff waiting on my watch list. I was definitely going to be a permanent subscriber.
Then as soon as my trial period ended, I was never able to download another movie!
Always got an error message to say this can’t be downloaded at this time please try again.
But again never came
I guess this may be due to a slow internet connection but I do think that if EpixNow was apply to deliver movie downloads during the trial period that they should be able to do so after a customer becomes a subscriber.
Come on guys, if Netflix can do it you can too

Buyer beware
So I subscribed to this app just to watch a certain show I have been dying to see. On June 30th my free week trial expired and I was charged the $6 for a month service. Totally fine and expected. Well, 4 days later on July 4th I noticed ANOTHER $6 charge on my bank account. Upon investigation, it was a second charge for a separate epix service THAT I NEVER SIGNED UP KET ALONE AGREED TO PAY FOR. After several back and forth emails with epix customer service, i received an email bluntly stating there was nothing they could and to contact iTunes. So I did. iTunes informed me this was a completely separate service for “apple tv” and could not tell me when or how I was signed up for it. I canceled both services and iTunes informed me that I would receive a refund for the second $6 charge “sometime in the next 30 days”...now living pay check to pay check ad a lot of people do these days, this has caused my bank account to be overdrawn by a friggin dollar. Since I’m on good terms with my bank, they have waived the overdraft fees after I showed them the emails thank god. Because of that, I’m not pushing this any further and am just done with it. Just wanted to give people a heads up as nobody could tell me how or why this happened. But, I did get to watch my show and enjoyed it thoroughly so not a total loss here. Very frustrating though.

Lol I just can’t with this crap. I go to report the issue on the developers site and can’t submit my issue. I’m stuck in a loop of verifying I’m not a robot. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND SPEND IT ELSEWHERE. 4 days later and still cannot watch a movie that cam out per the app 4 days ago. What is the point of a streaming app if you can’t stream what you say comes out? 2 days later and still can’t watch a movie that came out on the service 2 days ago. Lol this service is such a joke it’s not even funny. Been waiting weeks for this movie to drop and it says Monday July 18th. Today is July 19th. Go to watch the movie and I’m told it comes out July 18th. Again we are a day past that. I almost don’t even want this service being free for a year. I got a year free from my internet provider and after using it for less than a month I would never pay for the service. They post movies in the coming to EPIX section (the longest I have seen) a month and a half before it’s available to watch. One movie I was like oh I’ll watch this said it’s would be coming in a month after clicking on it. 2 weeks before it’s out they moved it from the coming soon section and put it in the section it belongs action and adventure even though you still could not watch it. I have had most streaming services and never seen anything this bad. Just post the movies the week they come out not almost in 2 months also don’t post the movie in it’s section till it comes out as it causes a lot of confusion.

On August 15th 2023, I logged onto the MGM app line I do most days to wager a bet. My wife happened to look over and noticed the refer a friend and receive $100, and asked if I could refer her, so I did. I copied the link and sent it to her in a text message. She filled everything out and deposited the $10 it required. We never received our bonuses.

So the app works great while on Wi-Fi, however it keeps giving me an error message when I try watching on 5g. I have local network and cellular data turned on for the app. I tried deleting the app and redownloading it and still same issue.

Casting doesn’t work. That’s a minor issue with the app. Being asked to subscribe over and over again when I already have an active account is unacceptable. It would seem that neither Apple or epix are capable of managing a simple subscription service.

Epix or EpixNow make up your mind Epix
I currently subscriberd to EpixNow & I’d like to connect to my roku tv but it is not allowing me with the given code.
If EpixNow & Epix is two different subscriptions then that’s just stealing customers money. Why have to subscribe to two different “Epix’s”

I’ve had trouble using this epix on my phone on my TV trouble logging in trouble getting access to programs no matter what I do no matter how many instructions I follow from Epix I have not been able to cancel my subscription so wish I had never signed up for this app.

Since they have changed from EPIX to MGM+, this app has not been working. I have paid for the last month and I was only able to get the channel working twice. Always the same error message. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it three times and still the same error message

Issues with streaming over cell service
Was working good at the beginning and able to over my cell data but recently now states network connection lost. So I am not able to use this unless on wi-fi. I am only able to use cell data via the website… so I guess that is a work around I suppose until the issue is fixed.

No 5.1 dolby audio only 2.0 stereo
Was super excited to finally see EPIX stream only service but was hugely disappointed when noticed there was no surround sound support. Immediately cancelled the service even though had a 1 week free trial. Don’t need it. Even the local over the air channels have 5.1 audio. Come on, this is 21st century.

I bought a sub after seeing how seamlessly it connected to my tv. It worked great for a week. Got to see the first ep of punk. But after the update it no longer detects my Samsung tv. Too bad there isn’t a direct app for my tv like many of the other streaming services. Not gonna resubmit it no longer connects to my tv

Worst Apple TV app ever
We constantly have to restart Apple TV because you can’t even pause this app and then play or even forward. It’s laughable. Can’t wait to get rid of it after watching the series. It’s so bad I’m not joking! You can’t even go to the episode menu once you have started watching an episode. You have to restart your Apple TV.

I’m deployed over seas trying to feel at home by watching my favorite show Rouge Hero’s but bc I’m over seas for a year I can’t watch it even tho I have a American phone provider bought my phone in America with a American sims card but that’s okay just a complete waste of my money this is what U.S. service members deserve I guess

Confusing and Frustrating App
This app will not let me log in on my phone or any other device. Says my email is being used even though I’m the one who created the account! I’ve changed the password and subscribed and it still will not let me in! I’ve tried logging in on other accounts and it still says I’m already subscribed. If that’s the case then why can’t I get in?!

Plagued with software issues
While using this app on my Apple TV and watching live tv sometimes the screen will freeze and the audio keeps playing. I tested it on 2 Apple TV’s does the exact same thing then I would say about 1/4 of the movies that are showing it says it can’t be viewed and it also isn’t available on demand. I’m paying for a service that doesn’t work properly.

You’d think that you could download the program, activate your subscription, and then start watching. Nooooope.
For reasons I fail to understand developers simply can’t create a simple UI that works. Let me subscribe to the service and start watching, rather than telling me “I looks like you’re missing out.”

Was going to download but after seeing a lot of bad reviews for them charging for services they never signed up for then taking money out of accounts when they shouldn’t have and then telling customers it’s not there problem to contact iTunes then iTunes saying it’s not there problem sound like a headache right now so I’ll just pass for now till they get it all working right.

I can’t cancel HELP
I did the free trial and right now I am out of work so I’m not able to pay, when trying to cancel it wouldn’t allow me it kept trying to charge $6 to my card when there is 0 on my card. How do I end this subscription?!? I went into Apple TV because I thought maybe that was it but it’s not allowing me as well. Someone please help I can’t afford this. The ONLY streaming app with no captions/subtitles
Really? Whose idea was it to develop this app and just leave out options for subtitles? I didn’t even know you could do that in 2019. Amazon, HBO, Hulu, Netflix, YouTube all included CAPTIONING in their apps. Video games have subtitles. Some GIFs have subtitles. Even pirated videos have subtitle options, so it can’t possibly be that difficult to include. Do you just hate deaf people?
I’d LOVE to use this, but it gets exhausting trying to read lips when watching stuff. Please add some form of captioning.

The MGM app on ROKU is unlike the MGM+ channel on Amazon directly via web or TV. It has appalling search algorithm and doesn't include a huge percentage of its output. The app is insultingly slow & freezes all the time. Nothing like this happens with any of the other well known streaming channels all of which I have used
