Good afternoon,
My name is Jawad Hamidi and I am a Mr. Lube Club Member. I recently sent my wife to store #130 in Richmond Hill for a simple tire rotation for her vehicle, with plate number CKJE824. The service was performed on 31-Mar-23 and the invoice number is [protected].
I am reaching out to you regarding grave concerns that I have about this location's negligent and dishonest business practices. Putting aside the fact that they pressured my wife into purchasing additional services that were not required, their lack of skill or care actually endangered my wife as well as her sister, who left in the car after the service was performed. Shortly after driving away, they noticed alarming noises coming from a rear wheel well.
When I inspected the vehicle, I realized that a wheel stud had actually broken off. I took the car back to the service location and was very disappointed with the initial response I received from the employee who tried to deny any responsibility. As a reasonable person I understand that some damage might occur when tightening or replacing lugs, etc. but knowingly returning the vehicle to my wife with a damaged wheel and allowing her to drive it without due concern for her safety is completely unacceptable. I escalated my concerns and was able to reach what I thought was an adequate resolution with the manager, who acknowledged responsibility and offered a refund as well as arranging for the repair to the wheel with their mechanic.
Since then, however, I have learned that my vehicle was driven rather than towed to the mechanic shop, which I never authorized. I am extremely dissatisfied with the original service that was purchased, how the problem was handled and now, what I thought, would be the remedy. I have been thoroughly inconvenienced, my wife has been unsettled from the experience and without her vehicle for days and we now have very little confidence in your company's commitment to safety and keeping the trust of your customers. I hope to hear from you soon regarding a suitable resolution to this matter.
Sincerely,
Jawad Hamidi

Oil change
I received an oil change from your Wellington and Leslie location in Aurora, ON last Sunday April 2nd. My car oil light came on right after and my underside of my car was covered in oil. I returned to the Mr lube location on Monday and they said it was residual oil and then said they cleaned it up. The following day my driveway was covered in oil and so I...

Desired outcome: I need to have my bill’s reimbursed. I need warranty on my car and my mechanic bill paid

Hi, At Mar07 around 5 pm I stopped at MrLube for a quick oil change, over on hour swatting inside the car hearing grinding under my car, than a guy with turban on his head came to window and apologize for waiting first than he said the mechanic under my car is a NEW and MASTER is not here , the new mechanic can not open the drain plug , he asked me to...

I go to Mr lube at 6629 kingsway Burnaby BC, Saturday morning March 11 2023 at 8am because I have a nail on my left front tire, and the gentleman look at my tires and advised that my tire its not repairable and need to buy a new tires, this is not my first experienced, they always wanted to make more and upgrade as much as they can. i hate to write complaints, and it is very out of character for me to do so, but i feel as if this needs to be addressed. for context, my poor experiences with this company have been complied since summer of 2021, and i do not believe i will be returning to another mr lube location. july 2022, i bought a new car- 2015 honda civic. it needed an oil change quite urgently, so out of convenience i took it to me lube on glen erin and britannia in mississauga ontario canada. essentially i was told that my skid plate needs to be ripped off for them to change my oil, and that they can’t remove it until a “master mechanic comes in”. instead of removing the bolts to the skid plate, they tore it off my car and told me “it was the only thing that could’ve been done”. i was so pissed off, but didn’t want issues so i ended up buying the oem part and replacing it myself, just choosing to move on. today i went for an oil change- it’s freezing outside, 8cm of snow, and i’m not trying to do it myself. i tell the guy i’m looking for a synthetic oil change and that’s all. (i know my car, i know what’s up with it, i know what it needs, and i’m sure as hell not the “dumb woman” they presume me to be). my car has absolutely nothing wrong with it. it is absolutely babied and taken care of, and i’m very peculiar with everything that is done to it. whilst waiting for my oil change i was told “your battery is dead, the engine filter is black, the timing belt is gone, the transmission fluid is black and needs to be replaced, and that my car needs to be towed unless all of these are fixed”. my immediate reaction was wtf? i confronted the man cashing me out and called him out on everything. how can my battery be dead if i drove there? i just changed the engine filter, and all these other issues are impossible for me to have. my 2015 civic has less than 60,000km on it. it’s barely been driven in the past 8 years my family has had it. i know this all is based off of gender discrimination. men assume since im a female that i have no idea what is going on with my car, and im sure they have scammed people before. i just wanted a damn oil change, instead i got lied to and harassed. i will never be setting foot on their property again.
Oil change/coolant flush
I took my car into Mr. Lube today (Feb 11, 2023) on Baseline Road, Sherwood Park, Alberta. I asked to have an oil change and coolant flush done on my car. When the service attendant pulled out the oil filter he told me that a "oil bypass"f valve was missing. I asked him where it could have gone and he told me often times they get stuck in the oil filter...

I went to the mr lube on park rd s on Friday and the attendant didn’t fill my washer fluid. I then had to come back and ask why it wasn’t filled. He told me”we only supply 1L as per the bill” I then said if it was 1L why is my light on and he just ignored me and went inside. Are you really gonna lose a long time customer spending $97 every three month over $2 worth of washer fluid?
Desired outcome: Some kind of compensation His name was Shazad and he also didn’t check my tires
Transmission fluid chnage (invoice# [protected])
I came in for a simple oil change, and even though having purchased the car from classic honda in aug 2022, only 9000km ago and having its transmission fluid changed, the mechanic and the supervisor (Siwach, and Shan) working at the time convinced me the transmission fluid has to be replaced. I have it in writing from classic honda the transmission fluid...

Hello, I was talking to an employee today, about an issue with my wipers.
I had them during Christmas.
Which I should have alot longer then couple months before one is broke... I go their all the time for oil changes, I recieve the best service
However today when I called asked about any warranty or what could be offered to fix the problem.. I was told it's pretty much not their problem. I found it rude.
I have had wipers from many places, lasted at least 6 to 8 months.
I went with Mr lube as their was a promotion.
Not knowing they only last couple months
Desired outcome: Hoping to recieve a new set of wipers
Dropping my car off the lift and then dropping the car off the lift without bolting my tires onto the car.
Nov: 7/2022
Invoice:Invoice # [protected]
Transaction # [protected]
Licence plate [edited]
Went for a winter tire change in November.
They put my car on the lift. Forgot the blocks I told them before they lifted it. Then they let the car drop on one side from the lift, then dropped the car without putting the bolts on the tire causing the wheels to splay out after that they lost my tire bolts and tried to put on another car's bolts and when I called them out on this, they kept saying it's okay. Now my rear ball joint or struts on the driver side that fell off the lift are making horrible noises. I'm going to have to spend hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars to repair.
I don't know if it's the same management as before, but now it's full of people that don't know what they're doing, they looked confused and I wouldn't trust going to that place AT 6000 Dufferin st North York ever again. The manager called me back and offered a free oil change in compensation.
I'm waiting for an email back
Desired outcome: Pay for repairs on my car if any are needed.
These are the damaged parts
Thiese are the part damaged. The broken one is the rear driver side shock that was damaged.
Update: the Mr. Lube location paid for the repairs.
“Please provide your full name and mailing address so that we can mail the cheque to you in the amount of $540.
Thank you so much and look forward to see you at next oil change.”
Synthetic oil change at Mr Lube #28 Pickering caused engine seizure.
Standard oil package was completed on January 18th. One week later, the engine seized and my Prius V was towed ($160) to Toyota Pickering dealer. On January 27th, car was put on a heist. The Toyota mechanic demonstrated to Mr. Lube area mgr & Lube insurance associates that my untouched oil filter was loose, causing oil to leak out thru the filter gasket. Filter was never tightened. Engine could no longer spin (seized) and a replacement was recommended. Photos and voice recording taken. Now I cannot reach anybody at Mr Lube for a response or claim number etc. Mr Lube has become silent.
I will consider a follow-up with TV media and litigation.
Desired outcome: TOYOTA DEALER IS READY TO FIND PARTS AND INSTALL A USED ENGINE. I AM A 75 YEAR OLD SENIOR & UBER DRIVER.DELAY IS COSTING ME $5000/MONTH (VERIFIABLE).I NEED MR LUBE TO AUTHORIZE GO AHEAD ON REPAIR.MARK M
Good evening, We have handed this matter to our insurance company to investigate this matter. The vehicle has driven 1960 kilometers since the date of service. An adjuster will reach out to the customer once an investigation is completed.
Predatory sales practice
My daughter recently visited store 250 at 628 Burnhamthorpe Rd in Mississauga, ON. She went for an oil change and came out with an almost $700 bill for services she was told she needed. After leaving, she called me in tears because she says she felt as though she were taken advantage of. I believe that this was and is the case. I called the store...

My son took our car to Mr Lube in Whitby, ON on Dec 1. 2022. The oil pan plug was not replaced properly (believe the washer wasn’t replaced) which caused the plug to fall out and oil being expelled, resulting in the engine to seize on the highway. My son was driving. I contacted them immediately after having the car towed to my mechanic and the mechanic...

I went to Mr. Lube at the corner of Bank and Walkley in Ottawa. They were getting work done in the front of the store and the two left doors were blocked. After waiting 5 or 6 minutes an employee came out of the door and started waving at me. Eventually, he walked over to my car and asked me if I could drive around back and back into the bay. I said no problem. When I got to the back, a car was parked along the back of the lot. It was right where I would have to pull ahead to back straight into the store. I told the worker that I could not get in with the car parked where it was. He said I should pull up beside it and make a sharp turn into the bay backward. I was not at all comfortable making this maneuver so I just left. Why would they have an employee car parked in the exact spot I would require back into the bay? Two years ago at the same store, an employee told me to back up and move to another lane. I put my car in reverse and ran into the car that was 3 feet behind me. The store owner willingly paid for my repairs because his employee waived me back. I wasted my time driving to this location. The oil changes may be good but the training of the employees seems very sketchy at best.
Desired outcome: I want a response and hope that in the future staff will be smart enough to remove the car in the back so the owner can keep customers.
Oil change additional charge
The individual servicing me kept trying to push additional sales during my oil change to which I declined all. Despite this I was still charged an extra $60 for an air filter which was not installed nor did I agree to. I called to complain they made me drive back to their location to issue a refund and only further compensated with $15 off my next oil change. Absolutely terrible customer service, he never should have added the charge to begin with. The servicer most definitely did it to make a sale. I now have 0 confidence to go back to your untrustworthy staff.
Desired outcome: Full refund for oil change.
Damage to engine during oil change
Nov 13 2022 got oil change at Mr lube #55. after change when I got home I noticed oil dripping on driveway. thought it was probably spillage during change. had to leave town and finally returned to Mr Lube on dec 2. Dec 2 was told to come back on the Monday. told them about the leak. they checked to car over and replaced oil filter. they refilled oil. leak...

He told me it take few days then it ended up 2 weeks after snow fall. My car was not drivable at snow time. I lost 3 shifts
Then after I came for the installation at 2 pm today they told me 2 hours later come pick up. I called and finally at 6pm I went see nothing happened. Car tire change
I asked them to change the tires on my vehicle, a 2017 Honda Civic, on December 3, 2022. I picked up the vehicle that day to find that my tires were almost completely flat and I had to go back on 2 occasions to try and get you to fix it. When I originally came in, I explicitly told them (I have a witness that went there at the same time as I did for hi...
