Same thing happened to me. Contact your insurance carrier and file a complaint with the CA department of managed healthcare. Phone 888-466-***. California Law *** prohibits balance billing.

Newport Emergency Medical Group My wife had to go to Hoag Hospital Emergency room in Newport Beach, Ca

My wife had to go to Hoag Hospital Emergency room in Newport Beach, Ca. The emergency room is run by Newport Emergency Medical Group. Our insurance pays for any emergency room visits anywhere (Blueshield Silver PPO) regardless of whether they are in network or not. They billed us once and our insurance paid the bill and we paid a $400 copay. Now, they are billing us again directly for an additional balance of $1326.00. We have called Blueshield multiple times and they say they have not yet received this bill. We have been dealing with this since the visit on March 2- over 9 months ago! Now Newport Emergency Medical Group is sending us the bill directly once again and threatening to take us to collections instead of submitting the necessary claim to our insurance provider. We feel we are being harassed. If this goes to collections and our credit is affected, this would cause potentially $100,000s of damage as we are real estate investors. Calling Newport Emergency Medical group directly has resulted in no answers. They even told us they could not provide us our own information on the claim over the phone. They are located in Oklahoma. They hung up on us when we asked them to submit this claim to our insurance instead of continuing to directly bill us and threaten us with collections and destroyed credit.

Newport Emergency Medical Group I went to Hoag Hospital on 4/5 for a heart problem and Dr

I went to Hoag Hospital on 4/5 for a heart problem and Dr. P took care of me. I keep getting bills from this company saying they sent the bill to my insurance, but when I talked to my insurance (***), they said they needed more information to process the payment. On 7/9 at 12:00 pm, *** called Newport Emergency Medical Group (I was on the call too) and talked to a person named "Christine" at extension ***. She was really rude and didn't want to send the additional information by fax because *** didn't receive it in the regular mail. When *** asked if she could send the info again, Christine said it was already mailed and she could only mail it again. She was so rude the whole time! *** recorded this call. You can hear the whole conversation.

Newport Emergency Medical Group We went to **** hospital in Newport Beach, CA on 8/21 for our daughter Summer ***

We went to *** hospital in Newport Beach, CA on 8/21 for our daughter Summer ***. We had an in-network provider and paid our Co-pay. We were seen by *** MD. Later, we got a *** from Newport Emergency Medical Group for services rendered by ***. The bill was $524.98. We paid it on 10/3. On 11/12, I talked to my insurance company *** care. They said they should have covered the charges. United Health Care paid Newport Emergency Medical Group $524.98 and told me to contact them directly for reimbursement. I called Newport Medical Group on 11/12. They said it would take 30 days to process the reimbursement check, but we would get it in the mail. Today, 6/14, we still haven't received the check even though we contacted them 3 times in the last 6 months.

Newport Emergency Medical Group I got medical help for a dislocated shoulder at **** Hospital in May

I got medical help for a dislocated shoulder at *** Hospital in May . I got a bill from *** billing *** Newport Emergency Medical Group (acct N14938346) for $1,615.52. They said my Health Ins only covered a small amount, so I paid the bill in full. After I paid, I checked my claim through *** and found out that they paid the bill in full and I didn't owe anything. I contacted my insurance to make sure it was right, and they agreed that I should get a refund check for the full amount I paid, $1,615.52, from NEMG. Since September , me and my health *** have been trying to contact this Billing medical group, but we haven't had any luck getting my refund. They keep saying it's processing and on its way, but they always have an excuse and I can never talk to a manager. It's obvious they're purposely not giving me my refund check.

Newport Emergency Medical Group Newport Emergency Medical Group sent us to collections (***) for a **** related to an exam on 12/30

Newport Emergency Medical Group sent us to collections (***) for a *** related to an exam on 12/30. We got a bill from them saying "PENDING" on the *** line. We called them and they said there were issues with the insurance claim and they would try again. On 12/16, we got a letter from CMRE saying Newport Emergency Medical Group put our account in collections. I called our insurance and they had no records of Newport Emergency Medical Group filing a claim. We got lots of bills from the ER visit on 12/30 and all, except the one in question, were paid by our insurance. I think Newport Emergency Medical Group didn't file a claim or didn't do it right and put us in collections for their own mistake.

Newport Emergency Medical Group On January 27th, I went to *** for medical help

On January 27th, I went to *** for medical help. Shortly after, I got a bill for the hospital services, and I paid it all right away. But then, months later, I got a *** from "Newport Emergency Medical Group" saying they were a different group representing *** Majestic, the doctor who treated me in the ER. They wanted an extra $1229 for the ER visit. I didn't have insurance coverage, so I gave them my insurance info. But now, after 9 months, I got another *** saying that even though my insurance paid $200, they still want an extra $850. This is a crazy amount for an ER visit, especially since I couldn't even get a COVID test even though I had symptoms. It's frustrating because "Newport Emergency Medical Group" seems to be connected to the hospital (same address), but when I asked for help, the hospital said they're a different group and the phone number I called was a billing company that can't help with any solutions.
