I'm 82 years old and the doctor and staff were just wonderful
I'm 82 years old and the doctor and staff were just wonderful. The staff were always there to help with a nice warm blanket or a cold glass of water. I can't say more about this facility, just great! Keep up the good work. Thanks, *.
I had my colonoscopy done in June for prevention reasons
I had my colonoscopy done in June for prevention reasons. They sent the wrong code to my insurance, so they didn't cover it and I had to pay $1300 for the screening. I contacted my insurance and found out it was supposed to be covered as a preventive procedure, but Southwest Endoscopy made a mistake with the coding. My insurance has been trying to reach them since June, but they haven't been able to get through. It's been a nightmare and has caused me a lot of stress and wasted time because of their careless work.
I had a really bad experience at Southwest Endoscopy & Surgicenter LLC with Doctor V***
I had a really bad experience at Southwest Endoscopy & Surgicenter LLC with Doctor V. I went there because I had a problem with hemorroids, but unfortunately, he convinced me to have a hamorrodoctomy without fully explaining the procedure to me. He assured me that I would be able to go back to work in just 2 days, but I ended up being in pain for a whole month. Even now, after seven months since the surgery, I still feel uncomfortable and unable to work properly. It seems like these people lied to me and took advantage of my health insurance. And to make matters worse, what they charged my insurance is nowhere near what they initially told me.

I gave $1400 afore my procedure, but SWE didn't report it to my insurance
I gave $1400 afore my procedure, but SWE didn't report it to my insurance. This $1400 woulda made me meet my insurance deductible and prevented extra charges for other medical procedures. I've left voicemails, we've spoken to 'em and they'd "email an itemized statement". Nothin' gets done. Billin' says talk to the front office. The front office does nothin'. I need 'em to submit the $1400 payment correctly to my insurance.
On April 16, I got a colonoscopy at Southwest Endoscopy and Surgery Center
On April 16, I got a colonoscopy at Southwest Endoscopy and Surgery Center. On April 13, I paid $543.64 from my health savings account to cover my out of pocket deductible for the procedure. My benefits company is now saying I gotta give them back the $543.64 'cause they never got billed by the insurance. When I call the billing department, they say they can't help me 'cause there ain't no insurance paperwork. I've called a bunch of times to fix this mess, but I can only leave messages 'cause ain't nobody pickin' up the phone. My billing person, ***, has also sent emails to Southwest Endoscopy on my behalf, but I ain't heard nothin' back from 'em. It's been 5 months now, and this problem ain't been solved. I got bills from the doctor and anesthesiologist showin' that the procedure was done that day and I paid those bills. I need some help gettin' the surgery center to reach out to me so we can fix this payment issue.
I had a procedure scheduled at Southwest Endoscopy on 2/8
I had a procedure scheduled at Southwest Endoscopy on 2/8. The doctor there used their services. On 2/4, the office called me and said I had to pay $543.16 after checking my health insurance. I told them I had already met my deductible and thought this was too much. I also said I wanted them to check my insurance first. They said I had to make the payment or they wouldn't do the procedures. So, I paid. About a month later, my health insurance sent me an explanation of benefits and said they paid the claim, but my out of pocket expense was only $71.91. Since March, I've been going back and forth trying to get a refund. They said I would get one, but when I followed up, they said the insurance paid wrong. I called Aetna and they said the claim was processed correctly. I called them many times, but they never called me back. I called the main office and they said they would tell the billing department. Still no contact. This is so frustrating. I just want my refund.

I had a colonoscopy scheduled for 4/24/23, and the day before the appointment, I got a text saying I gotta pay $1,200 for the procedure after insurance. I called 'em back and left a voicemail askin' for more info 'cause I thought my insurance would cover it. But they never called me back. So I just went ahead and paid the $1,200 on my Care credit card. But later I found out that my insurance actually paid the whole bill to Southwest endoscopy. So they charged me double. I read some reviews 'bout this company and turns out this happens a lot to other patients too. The ones who figure it out gotta go through a bunch of trouble and wait weeks to get their money back. But what 'bout the patients who don't even know their insurance paid? They end up payin' twice too. Southwest Endoscopy makin' double profits, that's just plain fraud. It's not right. As I was writin' this complaint, I got a voicemail from "***". He said my payment ain't posted yet and I gotta wait two weeks for a refund. That ain't acceptable 'cause the charges already posted. I talked to Care credit today and they confirmed the payment went through. I want my refund right now.
