bus service and customer service
Tonight the 9:00pm route 133 bus was cancelled at 8:55pm leaving 20+ passengers stranded. On top of its limited evening service (i already waited 20 min) they send someone with no info to deliver the news. When I ask for a supervisor to see why a replacement bus wasn't being sent, especially since there are no other buses servicing the area, I'm sent to talk to 2 individuals at an information counter. These NJ Transit employees could have cared less except to make sure they state they have no responsibility. They find it amusing to direct me back to the person who sent me to them.
Customer service has reached another all time low. Shame on you!

Driving to work this morning and coming up to Central Ave where the bus should stop to go into Midland PRk bus station and never stopped Cut me off that another 2 seconds and there would have been an accident and to make matters worse this was the second time this happened in the same spot Does this driver know the meaning of complete stop and not using size of his vehicle to intimidate other drivers I purposely went back to get bus number This happened at 650 am CentrAl Ave bus number 7957 going into Midland Park bus station J really hope this gets back to them because one morning he or she is going to hit somebody!

montclair 6:10 and 6:41 out of ny penn station
Crazy Horrible Service. At 6:05 the 6:10 train packed to overflowing so much that wheel chair passenger could not board. Took 6:41, at Newark delayed for 50 minutes waiting for another train. Left Newark at 8:05 again packed to standing. Really?! Do we pay for this?! Will arrive at Bay Street at 8:30 pm after leaving work at 5:45 pm. Too much! Do something Phil Murphy!
Angry paying customer!

bus driver/no. 1
Bus driver on bus #6374 almost ran me over on purpose. Like are you serious who does that?! To explain my case, I was crossing the sidewalk of the bus driveway, this morning, walking as fast as a could to clear the way. During that time, the bus driver was about to drive into the loop and he saw me crossing but didnt even care to slow down. My body almost touch the bump of the bus. How dare he even looks at me as if I did something wrong!
Hello,
Did you get a look at the New Jersey Transit/NJ Transit bus driver who almost ran you over on purpose? New Jersey Transit is so corrupted that they have the prosecutor office, corrupted attorneys and political people back them up. Everyone is sweeping these rude bus driver behavior under the rug.

bus driver on 92 bus
I boarded the 92 bus going to South Orange, in front of the Clara Maass hospital where I work, bus number 5945 at 3:10pm. I showed the driver my bus card which was for November and explained to him that I had lost October and was told I could use it on the bus.
However, the driver immediately went on the defense and told me that whoever said I could use it they should come and drive the bus either I had to pay or "GET OFF". I said no problem I would pay soon as I find money in my bag he then he pulled over and said what are you going to do.
I said I told you I was going to pay if you wait a minute, he then proceeded to tell me
I was on welfare and why was I not going to pay, I repeated again I will pay you let me get the money from my bag, then again with the you're on welfare why can't you pay now or get off you got the wrong driver today. I said absolutely not I will get off and you are not going to insult me and I work every day just like you and I will call and make a complaint his reply was would you like my full name. I said no because I have the bus number and the time was all I needed.
This driver should not make that type of comment (you're on welfare) because of the route he has been assigned. I realize it is a stressful job however you cannot insult riders because you have a bad assignment. This driver should not be driving the NJ Transit bus if this is his attitude, without ridership he would have no job.
I am also forwarding this complaint to the Newark Star Ledger because of this drivers prejudice and obvious discrimination, because I have witnesses my coworkers.
bus driver
Hello, I love nj transit I have been traveling through it from past 1.5 year but now unfortunately as I go to get bus on east 6th street clifton, nj at 7:58 my bus driver is so racist toward me like I went today I was standing when I saw the bus I waved my hand more than 5 times and he stopped way ahead and as soon as I try to go in he speed up the bus and left me hanging. I request you to take a action againts this type of racist bus drivers. He also have done so bad with me other days because as soon as I press stop button when I am in the bus when my bus stop comes he doesn't open the door.
I forget about it was 7:58am early in the morning not the night time.
new jersey transit train ticket collector
Today I took the 4:18 train Fr New York Penn Station to Chatham. Unfortunately, I originally bought a return ticket to South Orange so when I got on the train I immediately told the ticket collector that I thought I had to add money to my ticket since I changed my destination. She said it was $3.00, not sure that's correct since I am a senior. I then proceeded to tell her that I had no cash on me and she replied I could pay the difference on the no transit app, my phone was charging below so I went to get my phone and started the process.in the meantime, she switch with another gentleman who then continued to collect the tickets who now walks over to me and stands over me to make sure I was getting the app. Let's just say he harassed me and totally imbarrassed me for the difference of the ticket. I could not get the app on my phone I think because of the connection on the train again he smearked and was totally inappropriate.in this day and time people need to be more conciderit. I think some customer service training is well needed.
train delays
Every morning train are getting delayed as ritual getting into Newark/NY.
This is really an inconvenience to all people who travel from south into NY/ Jersey City.
It is very difficult to reach offices by 8am.
There are people who come from Trenton, PA etc... who starts very early just to meet 8am meetings in office. NJT makes it very difficult. It is consuming 2hrs 1 way for each traveller for the real journey of 1hr. People are wasting hours of their day time with NJT.
unjustified bell ringing at late hours
Hello
I live adjacent the rail lines Essex street near Warren Street paulus hook. It's has become more noticeable of certain light train drivers needlessly ringing the bell constantly and at times musically between the hours of 1130pm and 530am.
I have young kids that wake up by bells ringing along the street constantly which appears to be on purpose for the sake of bell noise.
I understand the required use of using the bell for safety reasons but find it hard to be justified ringing the bell in a tune or long period of time at late hours of night.
Can you please look at this matter as it is disturbing sleep to my family.
north bergen park and ride machines
I am a frequent NJ transit park and ride commuter. For the past 2 weeks, one of the two ticket machines has been out of service. This ongoing issue has been very frustrating not only to me but to fellow commuters who already have to deal with the mile long lines to ride the bus (that is not including having to wait in a very long line to purchase tickets on the one machine that is working. To make matters worse, the one machine that is working is sometimes eating peoples tickets and seems to be on its way out too! Perhaps its because the machine over stressed because of the other machine being down! I understand a few day but its been going on two weeks. Our bosses dont want to hear the reason we are late to work because the machines are not working. This is unacceptable.NJ transit has an obligation to their customers to fix this issue. Please send technical repairmen to fix this asap. I will keep bringing this to your attention until this matter is resolved. Thank you
raritan valley line
This is a general complaint for all nj transit lines. It is absolutely ridiculous how much money I spend for such horrible service. Constant delays, rude conductors, and an unsafe environment. Today is only one example of the many that I experience every time I use any of the nj a transit lines. I was not told that my train, leaving from raritan, would have to switch on to a bus to get to newark, nj. Then I would have to miss my connection into the city. And finally, my next connection is experiencing delays. Out of three transportation methods on a one way journey to new york city, I have had a horrible transit experience each time. As one of the thousands of people that actively rely on the nj transit, I want better services and. A decrease in price. No passenger should have to struggle this much to attend a job or see their family. Too much money and time is being wasted on a system that is not improving. Please, do better for the people that rely on this transit for their day to day.
bus #123
The date is October 21st and the time is 8:05pm. I am just now boarding a bus and stood in line starting at 6:55pm. Three buses were suppose to come from 7pm to 8pm...only 2 showed up. To top it off they came back to back so the second bus driver did not pull up to correct gate after the first bus loaded. Instead like an insensitive jerk he pulled up to gate behind and ALL the people who had not been waiting nearly as long in line onto the bus first. It is not as if both buses started loading at once either. The first bus literally was pulling away as he pulled up...so there was NO reason for heartless and cold decision accept for the fact that this person clearly does not care about doing the right thing. So needless to say...I made neither bus inspite of the fact that I was 3 people short from the cut off on the first bus that pulled up. This is a disgrace and it ALWAYS happens on a Sunday! Either more buses for us who live in this neighborhood or at the very least could you train drivers to do the right thing and practice gate consistency?
extremely rude behavior on the part of a nj transit train conductor.
Dear sir or madam:
I want to add my complaint to the numerous ones you probably get everyday. I am certainly not expecting any response from you but it's my duty as a citizen to report a serous problem with your personel. I took the 2:55 PM train from Watchung station to Penn NYC on Wed Oct 16 and proceeded to find the quiet car to continue preparing for a presentation I was giving that day in the city. I kindly asked the conductor if it was a quiet car. He said yes. As I sat down, I heard this guy having a loud conversation on his phone one row away. As I was about to remind him that he was in a quiet car, the conductor came from nowhere and shushed me several times very loudly while yelling at me that it was his business not mine. He then turned to the guy and told him using a normal voice this time that the car he was in was a quiet car. As he prepared to leave, I reminded him without raising my voice that he unjustifiably yelled at me expecting apologies. He literally ran back to my seat and with his face literally inches from mine, he yelled: "If you think this is a loud voice, you don't know me when I yell." At that time, I thought I was having a twilight zone moment. I was also more concerned about my heart condition typical of a person my age than the overly aggressive behavior of this person wearing a NJ Transit uniform. All I wanted was a quiet seat to continue preparing for my presentation and here this guy, not the one on the phone, menacingly towering over my seat waiting for me to say something to probably physically assault me then call the Transit police. I was also concerned that if the transit police gets involved, it's his word against mine. All I said consisted of two brief sentences. The first one was intended to be a polite reminder to the person on the phone, sentence I didn't even finish because of the way I was rudely, loudly, and menacingly interrupted by the conductor. The intent of the second sentence was to remind your "conductor" that I was owed apologies. I didn't even get to the apology part. Just in case you want to push this further, I would describe this conductor as African American looking in his late to early forties. I didn't even memorize his face because of the way he was acting. I was afraid if I looked at him, this will trigger him even more. I know we all have our days but this is way over the top. This person shouldn't be in contact with the users of NJ Transit. My contact is below if you wish to communicate with me.

academy bus service - brick to wall street - stop #26324
This a general complaint regarding stop # 26324 in Brick. The bus shelter has had a panel of glass broken for a couple of weeks now. Someone tried to sweep up the broken pieces but didn't fully remove all the glass from the panel so now there are shattered pieces on the ground (along with rocks that were never cleaned up after construction was finished). There is graffiti all over the shelter's glass and on the pedestrian bridge that we are forced to use at night. The bridge is barely lit and is dangerous and scary at night especially if you are alone and the weather is bad. The parking lot itself is dimly lit, scary and potentially dangerous. When it rains the walkway gets flooded with water and you literally have to jump over the puddles. The landscapers don't clean up after themselves, they leave grass cuttings all over the walkways. Why can't the buses use the parking lot to pickup and discharge passengers? Also, why isn't the ticket booth open? Academy has only 3 buses going to Wall Street in the AM and have a hard time keeping to the schedule. In the past week and a half the 6:11 AM bus either didn't show up at all or was 20+ minutes late. Many times at night they cancel buses with no warning. Does anyone monitor them? Their service is horrendous and we pay a lot of $$$.
bus service from weehawken nj to nyc
I purchase a monthly bus pass and take the bus from Fulton & Blvd East in Weehawken NJ to NYC every weekday. This morning I waited from 8:02 to 8:33 for a bus to stop. 20 buses went by without stopping. I have taken pictures of each bus that passed but haven't been able to figure out how to attach them below. When I was finally able to board a bus and stand, the bus stops between Fulton and NYC had lines heading down the block.
This is at least a weekly occurence. Either more buses are needed or NJ Transit should have the flexibility of dispatching buses when needed. Commuters should be able to count on the service being consistent.
walter rand transportation center employees
I have been standing in the terminal since 415pm and the schedule board has been saying that the 404 and the 407 to cherry hill is approaching for ten minutes. I asked the cashier if the schedule was accurate since I have been waiting for a bus that says approaching for 10 minutes and she told me she didn't know and I should ask the guy in the yellow vest out near the buses. When I was trying to ask him he first didn't come out from behind the glass so that I could hear him. Then he yelled he didnt know when the buses were coming and continued playing his game on his phone. Then because I didn't walk away he finally looked at a computer and said the bus would be here at 435pm. When I asked him which bus he ignored me and carried on with his phone games.
improving the schedule — and preventing riots!
The current Dinky/bus replacement schedule includes unnecessary and infuriating elements.
Train 3943 arrives at Princeton Junction at 5:09, the bus, however, leaves at 5:03 forcing customers to wait until 5:31 for the next one. To add insult to injury, the bus arriving at Princeton junction at 5:16 goes out of service and leaves 25-45 passengers fuming because it does not take customers and leaves empty.
Please have that departing bus make one final 10-minute run to Princeton rather than causing a small riot every day when it leaves empty?
