NJ Transit cancel trains

Last several months NJ transit cancels trains running from bay head to newark, there is never a connecting train in long branch. This occurs frequently. There is no other information. There's also no information as to whether or not the next train will be running. NJ transit has become a sad joke. You really need to give better information to allow people to know whether or not they're actually going to get where they need to go, and stop this crap about no refund. You have the audacity to not give a refund when you haven't provided a service that I've paid for. Seriously. I take the train to get to work on Sundays after this happening to me 3 Sundays in a row. I had to take a cab or lose my job. How many times can you tell your employer that the train was cancelled. the cab was 50.00

NJ Transit Bus #166

The bus 166 didn't stop at stop 13219 in Ridgefield, NJ at 11:41 on 6/30/19. It is not first time that drivers drive so quickly to catch the green light approaching the intersection that failed to stop to pick me up. I'm working on sundays morning and commute from and to New York becomes disaster. The bus stop doesn't have any shelter or sitting. I was waiting for 50 min next bus.
I have received several emails that some information is missing. Please, let me know what is missing?

NJ Transit newark airport to penn station

At 12:02 a.m. they announce that the 12:04 train to Penn Station is canceled. There is no other information. There's also no information as to whether or not the next train will be running. And people wonder why everyone laughs when you say New Jersey. What a bunch of [censored]s.

You clowns really need to give better information to allow people to know whether or not they're actually going to get where they need to go, and stop this crap about no refund. You have the audacity to not give a refund when you haven't provided a service that I've paid for. Seriously. You all should we put in jail

NJ Transit wednesday june 19 service from red bank to ny penn station at 11:06

Hello and good morning

Yesterday I purchased an one way ticket on the 11:06 am from Red Bank New Jersey to New York Penn Station. The train was a few mintues late, ok no problem. However, we were then held at the next station, Middletown New Jersey. There we were told that there was a problem with the lines and did not have an estimate timeframe for completion. All the passengers were told to leave the train and buses will be supplied to take us to where we needed to go. After waiting awhile, there we no buses. Which left me no choice but to take a cab from Middletown New Jersey into New York City where I had needed to be by 2 pm.

I am looking for refund on my $16 one way tickets as well as $128 for the cab fare into New York City.

Thank you

Jacqueline

NJ Transit bus driver

Hi
At approx 6:30 am on 6-14-19. The bus driver of 7142 headed east on 46 merging on to route 3 was driving out of control. She was going in and out of lanes and cut many people off including myself and when I beeped she gave me the middle finger multiple times.
License plate- 0YB4639
I really hope you decide to do something about this for the drivers on the road and the safety of the people on the bus.
Thank you for your time.

NJ Transit netherwood ticket machine

I put $5.00 in the machine to purchase my ticket and the the machine read "Error" and then said NOT ABLE TO PRINT REFUND VOUCHER. I would like to know how I can get my $5.00 back and when the Netherwood Ticket Machine in Plainfield, NJ will be fixed. There used to be two machines there and now there's only one machine that is never working. It is a great inconvenience for NJ transit riders who take the train at Netherwood Train Station.

NJ Transit misleading or incorrect alerts to save face?

This morning at 5 am I awoke to a notification that the early train i would be boarding in Bradley beach was going to be cancelled due to "engineer availability", whatever that means. I scurried for 20 minutes to now make the train that was a full thirty minutes earlier. As i scurried, i got another notification that the trains would be running because the "car that was stuck on the tracks had been removed". lol, which is it? NJ Transit is a complete joke and honestly a modern monopoly. I may go back to school to write my doctorate

NJ Transit rude behavior by dispatcher at the old bridge park & ride

Today - 5/30/19
We entered the Old Bridge Park and Ride this morning as usual and our bus wasn't crowded this morning, probably due to other buses that were off schedule. Our bus is usually packed. We pull up and wait behind another bus that's few minutes- then we pull up. I understand they want to fill up a bus to make the ride worth it heading into the NYC Port Authority. We load a few people that are lined up then we sit and wait. The bus has about 23 people now. Then we wait and wait 5-8 minutes pass and he's looking for people to get on our bus at this point. Maybe there are now 28 people. After waiting so long I got up and yelled out the door, because that's the only way he's going to hear me and say "can we get this bus moving'' he screamed back at me ‘I'll decide when this bus will leave' I came back at him and said we've been sitting here long enough and we need to get moving and then asked for his name and he said, if you don't sit down I'll delay this bus even more. I asked again what is his name was and he repeated the same thing. So, I sat down. His reply should have been I'm sorry we just need to fill this bus up a little please bear with me and I'll get this bus moving soon. What I'm finding with 90% of your employees is that they have NO RESPECT and there are no management or supervisors overseeing their conduct towards the people that pay to use their service. Most of them don't care and are not worried about talking back to a customer because they will not be disciplined. What is being done about this? I manage a Law firm in the city. If an employee EVER spoke to a client like 90% of your employees do, they would be fired because the clients are the people that pay their salaries. The same should apply to NJ transit.

NJ Transit bus 129 from secaucus to ny port authority

The bus 129 service is just terrible.
Right before holidays and randomly on other days, a 6:46 am scheduled bus up Port Authority just never shows up!
There are always approximately 25 people waiting at the HARMON Cove Towers building waiting to go to work!
This bus is unreliable!
How can a scheduled bus just never show up! It's always the 6:46 am bus driver who does this and it seems NJ transit doesn't replace him when he doesn't show up for work!

NJ Transit unethical rude/ profiling/ discriminatory behavior

To Whom It May Concern,

Good afternoon. My name is Janet Garay. This morning my son, a 21 years old kid, had to board the train at the Dover Station which he is opting to do because he is unable to drive due to a CEREBELLUM STROKE that happened to him last December. He is a college student who is trying to go back to his normal life. This morning as my son was being checked for his ticket (he was asked not in Dover but rather at the Maplewood Station) the conductor at Maplewood asked for my son's ticket which he showed; my son had a reduced priced ticket. My son has a valid NJMVC ID stating he is disabled due to his stroke but that was not enough for the conductor and this person told my son that NJ Transit does not recognize NJMVC Agencies Disabled Persons' IDs and when my son asked why, the conductor said because I said so and adding that he (the conductor) didn't even know if that ID was fake and that my son at that moment needed to buy a full price ticket which he started to do. The way in which he addressed my kid was very impolite and rather nasty. Also as my son tried to put his security digits to use his credit card the conductor still being nasty and being in my son's face yelled"GOOD". Also, the conductor added that a young person like my son does 'not show' a disability. Now, I understand that there is a form that has to be completed by his doctor, we will do that shortly in order to get everything in order and clarified. What I don't understand is the way in which my son was addressed by this conductor and the lack of sensitivity about a person recuperating from a Cardiovascular Stroke that has left my kid with processing limitations, fatigue and with at times a limp leg and sore right side. The way in which my kid was treated is unacceptable disrespectful and no, as an educator, I know know perfectly that disabilities do not have to be shown at all. The personnel at NJ Transit should be better trained to treat all people with respect and being more aware about the different types of disabilities that they as public workers will be confronted with. Thank you for your time and attention. You can reach me at [protected] or at [protected]@msn.com

Best Regards,

Janet Garay

NJ Transit aggressive bus driver

Bus Route 194 Bus 7153 departing from gate 233 at 8:20 pm on Monday May 20th. The bus driver was very aggressive and rude, when I just asked a simple question of if the bus was stopping at Pequannock. He was rude to me and several other women on the bus, and even made a comment to me on my way out. I am a young girl, who does not know the bus system and did not want to end up in the wrong place at night.
I believe if you cannot work with people, you shouldn't and this man might need a different occupation. I am requesting a refund for this incident as I do not need verbal abuse at the end of a long day.

NJ Transit rail ticket collect #377880 on 513pm 1221 train

I just had an incident with a ticket collector hat #377880 on the 513pm 1221 train. The ticket collector screamed at me for about 5 min and called me arrogant because I didnt know he was closing the car doors due to a malfunction. He not only belittled me but he also made me and my wife feel like dirt beneath his feat.
I tried to talk to him after the incident and he refused to talk to me and walked away muttering [censored] under his breath. This is unacceptable and this ticket collector should apologize to my wife for the way he acted. I hope no other passengers will have to deal with this man and he has no business being in this business with the way he acted.

NJ Transit njt train - dover line to nyc penn station - 7:24am from morristown, beyond rude conductor

I've been wanting to log a complaint about this one conductor for quite some time now, because there have been numerous scenarios where he's been completely rude, sarcastic, and out of line with paying customers, but after this morning, I felt I need to write a complaint. (May 15th, 2019)

This conductor operates the first car (quiet car) on the Dover line train, that arrives in Morristown at 7:24 am. Every morning, I, (and probably most people) sign into their NJT app, and pull up their monthly train ticket. EVERY morning, this conductor will start to check tickets when we are approaching Newark Broad st, instead of asking for tickets when customers first get onto the train, as every other conductor does, and should do.

At this point, most people have already been on the train for 40+ minutes, and may have fallen asleep. Without fail, the conductor comes around and yells, "all tickets" at Newark Broad st. Most people will wake up or hear him and be able to load up their ticket on their phone, but other times, people are still sleeping, or their app has timed out, therefore asking them to resign in.

If the conductor has to wait more than 5 seconds for your ticket, he will make snarl remarks and say, "when did you get on the train?", customer may say, "Morris Plains", and conductor will respond with, "well you've had plenty of time to load your ticket" (although he's had PLENTY of time to check tickets, yet he'll wait until he has 20 minutes until we arrive at Penn Station to check 200 tickets, (as he's said to a customer in the past) and then get pissed off when tickets are not loaded right away))

He will continue to be rude when the customer says something like, "my app logged me out, or timed out, etc, and now there's not too much service". Conductor will respond with, "the app stays open for 2 hours". He's wrong, as every morning I load my ticket up in Morristown, and by the time we get to Newark (40 min later) it's logged me out, and I have to re-login.

This morning, something very similar happened, and the customer began to say, "I think it's the app that's the issue since it logs me out", and he sarcastically responds with, "oh yea, it's the app, that's why it's working for everyone else". He then moves on. He knows a man on the train, as he talks to him for a minute or 2 most mornings, pretty loudly, and given we're in the quiet car, it's annoying, but it's just a minute or 2, so not too big of a deal. Except this morning, after he had this lovely conversation with a customer, a few rows up he sees the man that he's friends with/knows, and says, "i love my job" with a smirk and laugh. Obviously alluding to the conversation he just had with a customer since everyone on the train car can hear.

This man is ridiculous and is on such a power trip, I can't stand it. We're paying customers -- hundreds of dollars each month -- and just want a peaceful commute to NYC before a long day of work. At least 1 - 2 days a week, something like this will happen. Just being a by stander urks me, but it's not worth it to say something to him at the time, because he has more "power" than me while on the train.

This conductor needs to be taught how to talk to people/suspended/reported/reprimanded, WHATEVER. Obviously he won't get fired for this, but it's uncalled for. Hoping someone within NJT who can make decisions sees this.

NJ Transit bus 159r incident may 8th - 5:35pm

Bus: 159R (River road)
Boarding 5:35pm
Incident date: May 8th Wednesday

The bus reroute to Bergenline local and driver did not say anything or advise passengers that he will reroute due to road blockage in Hoboken. Passengers got so anxious not knowing what's going on. I got off all the way to Cliffside place that I'm not familiar that I should have got off in first stop Lincoln harbor. This experience is very upsetting and it jeopardizes your passengers safetiness. Instead of being home by 6:00pm from 5:35pm bus from PABT, I got home by 8:00pm. Please improve your communication and educate your driver. What a SHAME!

NJ Transit rude and bullying behavior

4/30/2019
I boarded the train with my sister and mother at 1:00 from Newark Airport. We had 6 bags. I pushed the seat to face my mom and hold on to my suitcase so it wouldn't roll away. No signs saying I couldn't move the seat. The conductor rudely told me to flip the seat which I did then when I handed her my ticket she asked for ID only from me not my sister or mother. Looked at it and smirked. Is this the type of people you employ who bully passengers who mind their own business. She shouldn't work with the public she doesn't know how to treat people. I wish she was wearing a name tag but she wasn't so I can't give you her name. We were in car 5578. I am apalled by a conductor acting in such a nasty manner. I should have ubered. She she be trained on how to treat your customers after all we keep her salary going ans well as the company with our fees. I'm truly disgusted.

NJ Transit njtransit bus operator on the 10:30 pm bus rt 409 from trenton nj bus #19145 driver #514390

At approximately 10:41pm on Friday April 19th 2019 I an 2 other passengers entered on bus #19145 bus rt 409 leaving Trenton nj and stated to the driver (#514390) that he had been late and we wanted to ask why as the conversation progressed the driver got upset and demanded I shut up or I would be kicked off the bus for stating my opinion that the njtransit app stated the bus would arrive at 10:33 PM and he decided to come when it was convenient for him which was at 10:41 PM. Before entering bus I approached the driver side of the bus to asked when we can expect he to come he simply refused to answer the question and keeper pointing at the bus stop. Please assured that I did not use any vulgar language towards the bus driver at anytime. He then turned the bus around to the Trenton transportation station and called the police to have me illegally removed from the bus simply for stating that he was late. I believe this driver abused his authority and discriminated against me because everyone had asked him and stated the same opinion but he was African American and so was the the other two passengers and I was Hispanic. I advice the driver I just want to get to my destination and I was no longer talking to him which can be proven by video from the bus itself also I recorded the incident as soon as the police arrived. I will release this video to all forms of media and will be filling a complaint with all forms of government officials stating with the governor & the ACLU's & civil liberties office. Please contact me at at [protected] mr Alvarado. Thank you.

NJ Transit bus 119 overcrowding and delays

Hi! I am a frequents used of bus 119, and understand the overcrowding and such - There are a few things that I would like to touch on - the app is inconsistent - it shows that there are 2 buses coming several minutes apart, and then they disappear! so not sure why this occurs, but happens often in the AM. I am on a route on the heights, that services many people who do not go to NY. Therefore, several stops are passed by with people who are going locally. This happens on a daily basis, and not sure how this can be rectified, but perhaps placing more local buses on this route to support those not going to NY? This is a daily occurrence where people are walking up several stops, to ensure they can stand on the bus, not necessarily a seat. Not sure how this can be rectified, but as Jersey City is a hub to many, there should be more accommodating ways to support those who live in the area and need to get to their final destination during peak times...not to mention that the fare is pricey compared to the smaller buses running on JFK. thank you for taking time to read this, and hoping there are ways to support people to make JC the best it can be!
