Arnold got me coating on one of my houses and he was very professional, helpful, courteous and timely.
Thank you ocean Exteriors we really appreciate everything you've done for us, as many projects as we had (facia, pavers, the the IPE fence, wired for three new outdoor electric plugs, the roof - they had to rip off 6 layers of shingles to put up the new one, remidljf the billiard room, and put together the cabinet and quartz countertop, and the exterior wall with IPE wood and a skylight) we couldn't be more grateful. The employees, especially Ryan and Kara were being so professional and had such good attitudes, they were able to estimate the scope and the hours through the project almost perfectly on time, and no fuss. They came around frequently to check on the work, and to make sure the workers were doing everything on time and the quality was what we expected. I definitely recommend them to anyone even a friend!
we got our gutters done, and it took a little time with figuring out our electric wire situation but when we got it fixed the crew was very professional and patient and eric and Kara were very helpful and not rude when we asked questions, they answered all our questions and the work turned out great we are very satisfied.
I got my gates done and they are lovely, I wasn't thrilled with the patched concrete work but my project manager Kara was very pleasant and helpful

Just DON'T!
I Have had so many problems trying to get our warranty. Employees must be scripted on what lies to tell. Heard the "it's in the mail" excuse so many times, "oh our receptionist was suppose to mail it", "it's in the front office, I'll get it and send it out". Today the excuse was "it takes 60-90 days to get warranty"
Showed up to do quote for windows. I asked again, where's our paint warranty? Was told AGAIN by Ed *** it's in the office, I'll personally bring it out. Now as of 2/6/22 we have cracks and peeling paint. Our job was complete in September '21. Needless to say, we cancelled window order and will not work with this company again. If and when they fix our paint I will update this review. But for now, it's a NO from me.

This company is not professional with customer service and timely call backs if at all
This company is not professional with customer service and timely call backs if at all. My clients had a project done and the company failed to provide permits for the windows and door which is causing my clients problems in the sale of their home. This company fails to call back to help resolve this issue. We leave messages and nothing. When they do call back they do not resolve the issue. Instead they complain "They don't like when 3rd parties call on their behalf." That 3rd party is myself, their realtor. What kind of company is this?
Aggressive sales tactics and refused to leave my property
Aggressive sales tactics and refused to leave my property. Knocked on my door which was clearly marked with a "No Soliciting" sign, then proceeded to try to convince me he was not there to sell services but to inform me of my issues with my property. I had to tell him to leave the property and he still wouldn't just leave. This is preditory sales tactics used to con elderly into thinking their homes are falling apart and is Illegal. Once a customer says no you should leave. This is the second time this particular company has knocked on my door and I had to chase them away with threats to call the Sheriff and only then did they leave the block completely. SCAM

WARNING DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!
WARNING
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!
These guys are complete FAKES and just out to scam.
Shaun, Juan and Ryan came to us to give us a exterior paint job quote.
They proceeded to spend the next 3 hours showing us 'before' and 'after' photos of their work and explaining with great detail how our house is covered with mould in the wood brand and stucco so this is going to require a lot of inner work to fix ($25K worth of work to be exact).
They even showed us a NEWS video of how mould destroys homes! They really wanted to scare us
They literally showed us photos of where 'mould' was taking over our walls, and used that to pressure us into signing us to repair the mouldy wood.
They also promised that any issues we had or any questions- no matter how big or small- that if we call one of them - JUAN/ SHAUN/RYAN that one of them would be there same day IN PERSON to discuss and fix.
They also spent time wanting us about 'bate and switch' contractors who charge double but actually just hire a subcontractor from Home Depot.
Guess what!
The first day comes and they actually had the nerve to send out SUBCONTRACTORS who then just patched our walls like a band aid solution and there was ZERO work done on the wood like promised.
My husband asked the subcontractor are you going to expose the wood and fix the mould? HE HAD NO CLUE WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT.
They proceeded to just apply stucco to the cracks and there was no mention of mould at all.
The subcontractor actually did us a favor because the instant he touched our 'MOULD' with water... guess what... it disappeared! Never mould to begin with!
THESE GUYS ARE OUT LOOKING FOR OLD PEOPLE AND VULNERABLE FAMILIES TO SCAM AND TRIPLE UP CHARGE.
They approached us and sold us 100% on a lie.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Ocean exteriors, Mr
Ocean exteriors, Mr. harassed my husband until he entered into a contract that he didn't fully understand. First, the sales person entered into the contract with my husband aware that he did not have a full understanding of the agreement he was entering. My husband repeatedly told him that he could only pay $300/month since he was on a limited income. Second, Mr. informed my husband that he had excellent credit and should not worry yet he was financed at 29% interest rate which is not indicative of excellent credit. Last, using we were targeted since we were elderly homeowners and our roof was not in disrepair. We believe Ocean Exteriors scouted the neighborhood looking for elderly people to coax them into unnecessary business transactions. We further believe that Ocean Exteriors is in cahoots with Green Sky to finance those transactions. We received the initial statement from GreenSky in May and were shocked that the monthly amount was 2x what my husband agreed he could pay with Ocean Exteriors. My husband immediately called GreenSky to get a better understanding why the monthly amount was so high. He explained to them that he only received $1,000.00/month from Social Security and could not reasonably pay $717.16 each month when he had only budgeted $300.00. GreenSky explained that since he did not make payments during the 18-month promotional period the interest began to accrue once he signed the contract and that ALL of that interest would be added to the balance when the promotional period was over. Consequently we had to take out a loan on our home to pay for a roof that Ocean Exteriors aggressively scouted us to get repaired. I believe they look for seniors and enter into contracts with them knowing they don't completely understand the terms. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE COERCE YOU LIKE THEY DID US!
Yikes! I should have followed my gut
Yikes! I should have followed my gut. Just like other reviewers have written, an unsolicited salesperson shows up. The presentation is quite impressive, and long, but my gut said, "too good to be true." I also felt the pressure. When I declined to commit to a contract on the first day the salesman left understandably upset. For many days after the initial pitch, I would either get a call or someone would just show up at my house to give me a better deal and to pressure me into signing up. Finally, the price dropped significantly enough for me to move ahead with refinishing the stucco on my property. The project was to take 4 days and a crew was to be dedicated specifically for my property so once the job starts, it is finished on time. A trench was to be dug around the entire property to get below the water incursion level among many other things promised by the salesperson. The day that the project was scheduled to start, the workers did not show up until the afternoon. I wasn't home because I figured they were not going to show up. I came home to find my garden hose left in the walkway as well as mud on my deck and tile from the power wash. Instead of a trench around the entire house, I had an 8 foot long trench in the back of my house that was about 3 inches deep. I was gone for little more than an hour. The workers had already left. When I looked at the house to see the results of the power wash I noticed large areas that had been totally missed and still had dirt in the crevices. There were even 2 places where the water didn't even reach 2 small hornets' nests. I called the contact at the company to explain my concerns about the work that was done. He assured me that the company would address the issue, and my description was not up to their level of service. Additionally, he and the project manager would speak to me when the workers arrived the next day. The next day no one showed up and I never got a call from anyone from the company. I am not moving forward with any more work with this company. I hope others do too. In my opinion they need to be investigated for deceptive practices.
Ocean Exteriors does not honor their "lifetime warranties" nor do they finish the work to the customer's satisfaction
Ocean Exteriors does not honor their "lifetime warranties" nor do they finish the work to the customer's satisfaction. I spent close to $300K to have work done on the outside of my house by this company and I am not satisfied. Rather than fix the issues with the work they've already done, they tried to talk me into remodeling my bathroom, which I do not have the money to do. I kept saying no but the owners kept telling the project manager to push harder even though he knew my answer.
To start with, not all of the wood was sanded before being painted and it's noticeable. There are two fascia boards that were replaced along the Northeast side of my garage. Lately, I noticed that those two boards now have some black discoloration. I was told that the boards were probably not sanded and primed before being painted. So far the stucco looks good, the windows don't leak, the garage door still works, the roof doesn't leak, the insulation in the attic hasn't deflated, and the tankless water heater is still working. Unfortunately, the following paragraphs point out what I am not happy with.
Ocean installed turf in my front yard and my backyard. Shortly after the front was done, two guys came over to clean up the mess from my roof being replaced by the same company. Unbeknownst to me, they drove their truck onto my turf and left a tire trench in my turf. They sent someone to fix it, but now I have ripples in the turf.
The turf in the backyard is even worse! The company that Ocean hired to install the larger portion of turf in my backyard ran out of materials that go underneath the turf. Instead of obtaining more materials, they just scattered what they had left of the rock, causing uneven ground under the turf. They also left a noticeable seam down the middle of the turf. I have grass growing around the edges by my fence and at the seam, which is not suppose to happen if the job was done right. I found numerous leftover nails (some rusted and some not) left on my patio, the turf, and in the space between the turf and the patio pavers. And there are large ripples at the North end and the South end of the turf.
Ocean Exteriors sent someone out to fix the turf, but since they were not made aware of what they were fixing, they did not have the right materials to level out the ground underneath the turf. And to fix the seam in the middle, they found a long four to five inch wide strip of turf and nailed it over the previous seam. Now there are two seams down the middle. Also, the turf along the edge of my patio is lifting up from the ground as if it was not nailed down. All of the turf in the front and back should be replaced.
The patio pavers in my backyard look great and it was very interesting to watch them being installed. Unfortunately, when it rains or when I wash down my patio, large puddles form next to my house by my back porch and by the side porch. I have been told that the level of the ground/pavers next to my house should be slightly higher than the middle so that the water is directed away from the house to prevent water damage later on. Well, someone forgot to tell the guys that installed the pavers and the guys that were sent to fix the problem because the puddling still exists.
Numerous times I have asked for a copy of the lifetime warranty, or warranties that pertain to the work that was done on my house. I was told that all I have to do is call them if there's a problem with anything. As you can tell from the problems listed above, they send someone out to fix the problems but they really don't get fixed and Ocean does not do follow-ups.
Lastly, I have asked for a list of the work that I had done and what the cost was for my house file. Every time a project was decided upon, I would receive the yellow copy of their form that states the work to be done, the cost, and the name of the finance company they decided on for that particular project or projects. Most of the time, there were multiple projects listed on one form and the dollar amount was the total for all of them together. For instance, I can't tell how much I paid for the pavers because it's on the same yellow copy as the roof and the windows, and the dollar amount listed is the total for all three. I am only asking for a list of the projects and the cost for each project, and no one can tell me why they won't provide that to me.
