I have had my peachtree window and had someone come look at it. It has been leaking around glass for the last few years. I have mold around window. I would never tell anyone to deal with peachtree. No one wants to look or repair peachtree products. Not good.
I call this company McWindows: They installed two windows for me, did damage they never even bothered to compensate me for and didn't even wrap the windows they way they are supposed to. I ended up paying them for a job that wasn't even finished adequately. They were "sound abatement" windows too and what a waste of money they've turned out to be. Fortunately, it was just the two windows and not the whole house.
All the Peachtree windows in my house leak and my walls are mildewing, and they are falling apart.
The only thing worse then the quality of Peachtree windows is their service. I tried to order parts on line and it took them over a week to reply. When they did reply they gave a phone number to call for parts. When I called, they put me on hold and no one ever answered the phone. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for windows not to buy this junk!
We also have Peach Tree windows and doors and they are terrible. Not only is there mold all around the windows there are spots between the glass panes. It also appears that the treatment that we ordered on the windows for the sun, (low E), is defective and wearing off all over .The screen doors to our sliders are just a joke. The screen is at least an inch thicker than the door frame that it closes into and therefore stands beyond the frame. We have had wasps get in the openings and build nests. I would never, never buy Peach Tree Windows again.I called the company and emailed them pictures and they assured me that they were the correct screen doors. Never again!
The same exact thing is happening in our house. We just discovered it this week and as we look for more damage we're finding it's worse and worse.
What did you do?
I will never buy anything Peachtree again. Their products are garbage.
My home is 4 years old. I have 500 Series Casement Windows; two windows with broken seals and moisture. I have two transoms where the internal grates broke free and are floating in between the glass panels. On top of that, I have a fiberglass sliding door that leaks from inside the bottom frame when it rains.
I sure wish I'd found this website a few weeks ago. I purchased almost $5, 000 worth of six double hungs and two bay windows. Upon install yesterday, we noticed that the screens were just "stuck on" with 4 pins, there was no channel for the screen to fit into. There is a gap in many places around the window where the screens don't fit correctly and they push out with only the gentlest of pressure. Not only is this a safety issue, there are so many bugs in the house it's like not having screens at all. I purchased them at Lowe's. I don't blame Lowe's except that with the history of poor quality and customer service I'm seeing here, why are they still selling them? I will call Peachtree tomorrow but I have such a sinking feeling in my stomach that I've wasted my money and made myself a huge headache. I'll follow-up with what happens.

I just saw your post to Complaint Board from 2010. I am a lawyer representing a homeowner whose windows have leaked and rotten. Would you be willing to discuss these window failures with me.

I had $5, 000 worth of Peachtree windows installed, with $5, 000 labor costs. These windows are garbage. The installer said he has seen worse windows but I honestly cannot imagine that. The company sent new balances for every single window, since they were sliding down from the top and impossible to lock. I'm sure they would not have done that if it wasn't a known problem. In addition, they don't fit correctly into the space and you can see daylight coming in through almost every side of every window. I bought these windows on the recommendation of the windows guy at Lowes, Glenmont, NY. If I'd had a chance to actually see and operate these windows at the store, I never would have purchased them. The problem is, I wasn't smart enough to google "peachtree windows complaints" until AFTER they were delivered. Never, ever again. I have already replaced one of the four double-hungs installed and I know I will have to replace both of the bay windows too. What a complete waste of money and a headache I don't have time to deal with again. Stay away from Peachtree Windows!
