Me, my husband, and son, arrived having not been to not a restaurant in over year, decided that we would dine in at Pizza Hut.
Upon arrival, we were told to grab some menus and seat ourselves, by the waitress who served us.
We obliged and found a booth. Our waitress came over, asked what we wanted to drink… I asked for 3 waters and lemon. She said they do not have lemon. After reviewing the menus it became clear that the menu had no prices. I asked how can I order if I don’t have prices..she said she knew most of the prices, I saw an advertisement/coupon in a plastic display on the table that showed 2 large pizzas and breadsticks for 30$, and I just decided that would work.
We waited 20 minutes. The table that came after us was seated near us, they received their wings before we received our breadsticks…no biggie.
We continued to wait. Finally our waitress appeared with 2 to go boxes and a bag of breadsticks, slid them on the table and said, and I quote “We ran out of cork boards..” and rushed away.
I was shocked. Then she brings the pizza to the table next to us, on cork boards. Mind you, even the breadsticks were bagged, and not in a basket.
In disbelief I went to the manager who admitted she boxed the order mistakenly as to go, yet the waitress rather then slide them out of the box onto the table, just lied..
I said, “This is so wrong on every level. I am paying to go out to a restaurant on my birthday, what are you going to do to make it right? She said I can give you a free dessert. I was so flustered, I agreed and went to my table.
As I am I bagging the breadsticks, it’s obvious they were cold with no seasoning. My son is trying to arrange his boxed pizza around our boxed pizza, while the breadsticks awkwardly sat on the boxes with nowhere to go.
I became very upset and couldn’t even eat..
I wanted to leave, as our neighbor tables watched us as we struggled to make room on our table, and were visibly upset. I was so embarrassed that we were supposed to eat out of to go boxes while everyone else had proper plates, I took the boxed pizzas and said, “let’s leave.” My husband stayed behind to pay, while we went to the car.
My husband relayed to me that the card reader was broken, so everything had to be done manually. When the manager brought the dessert in the to go box, the waitress said, “No! That’s somebody else’s,”and tried to take it away . He said the manager meekly said, “Yes it is.”
We then left.
The waitress lied about the lemon, as my son says he saw lemon in another cup.
The waitress lied about being out of cork boards.
The waitress lied about the dessert not belonging to us.
I am in complete awe of her viciousness and deception. We will never patron that Pizza Hut again.
Desired outcome: I want the waitress fired and ( I have the receipt and her name) if not, I want a refund.
